I GOT INTO THE VEHICLE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND HEARD A POP. I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE AND WHEN THE CAR MOVED I HEARD THE POP AGAIN AND THE SEAT DROPPED ON THE LEFT SIDE. I PARKED, GOT OUT TO EXAMINE THE SEAT AND A SEAT SUPPORT HAD BROKEN UNDER THE LEFT REAR SIDE OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT CAUSING THE SEAT TO DROP, LEANING TO THE LEFT. ATTEMPTING TO RETURN HOME, WHEN HITTING ANY BUMP IN THE ROAD THE SEAT IS ALMOST LIKE SITTING IN A ROCKING CHAIR.

When the car was in the shop for an unrelated repair, I was informed by the shop that the subframe (K frame) is rusted out and will fail "sooner rather than later". i was told the car should not be driven and is unsafe to drive. There was no indication of a structural problem otherwise. The body of the vehicle appears to be rust free.

Upon driving in a lite snow, (.3-.5") I experienced a sudden rear end swerve. Had 2 young passengers in car, they were very scared. The car behind me took evasive action to avoid me. Then at next stop lite, the driver said the rear wheels were not parallel with each other. No warning to me. Car was taken to a service garage for inspection. Rear subframe was severely rusted. Was advised to get rid of car. Took it to another repair shop and was told that they could replace (Not repair) the rear subframe, which they did for a total cost of about $3000.00

The frame of the car has had a catastrophic failure, the rear frame has broken away from the body of the car on both sides. This has caused the car to be completely unsafe and unable to be driven. The broken frame was discovered as I was doing basic maintenance on the car, putting new brakes on the rear of the car and checking low air in a tire. At that time I discovered the brand new tires on the back were worn to the core on the inside and then I saw that the frame itself had broken away from the body. I have done repairs and maintenance on my own vehicles for many years, so I am the one that discovered the broken frame not a dealer or repair shop.

I took my car in to get a tire alignment and the mechanic could not do it and pointed out the rusted out sub rear frame on the driver side. I took to a auto collision shop and will not touch it for liability reasons. if im driving 70 mph down the interstate and the back wheel bends in from the rust, there is going to be a serious accident. i am without a vehicle at the moment till this is resolved. There are hundreds of posts of the same problem online and suprised there is not a recall. I am the least dramatic person but i fear for the safety of my life if i keep driving the way it is if not fixed.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS CAR USED. AFTER DRIVING IT FOR A LITTLE WHILE, THE CAR STARTED SHAKING EVERY TIME I WOULD TRY TO ACCELERATE, BUT WOULD GET SMOOTH ONCE I GOT UP TO SPEED. AFTER A FEW STOP AND GO, THE CAR DECIDED TO GO INTO LIMP MODE. I MANAGED TO GET THE CAR HOME SAFELY, BUT BARELY. NOW IT DRIVES SMOOTH FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN THE EXTREME SHAKING RETURNS. IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS IN DRIVE, AND STOPS AFTER I SHIFT IT OUT. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH ONLINE, I FOUND THAT THE TRANSMISSION IN THE 07 NISSAN MURANO IS NOTORIOUS FOR FAILING. NISSAN ACTUALLY EXTENDED THE WARRANTY TO 10 YEARS/ 120,000 MILES. BUT IF YOU CANNOT GET IT FIXED WITHIN THAT TIME YOUR STUCK, BECAUSE THEY ARE SO BAD NO TRANSMISSION SHOP WOULD WORK ON THEM. EVERY FORUM RELATED TO MURANOS JUST RANTS ABOUT HOW BAD THE TRANSMISSION IS. NISSAN SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PUTTING FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS IN SO MANY VEHICLES, I AM SCARED TO IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF IT FAILED ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE AT SPEED.

DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN STARTED SOUNDING LIKE SOMETHING WAS BINDING. WHEN I GOT A CHANCE TO LOOK UNDER THE VEHICLE, I CAN CLEARLY SEE THAT THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL HAS SHATTERED, BROKEN COMPLETELY APART AND CAN SEE THE GEARS INSIDE. I GOOGLED 07 MURANO REAR DIFFERENTIAL AND THE EXACT SAME THING KEEPS COMING UP. THE CURRENT REAR DIFFERENTIAL LOOKS TO HAVE A YELLOW GREASE MARK ON IT. INDICATES TO ME THE PART HAS BEEN REPLACED BEFORE AND THE REPLACEMENT DID THE SAME THING.

I RESEARCH AND THERE ARE A LOT OF PUBLIC FORUMS ON THIS ISSUE ON SENSORS GOING BAD TO CVT FLUID CHANGE TO TRANSMISSION ISSUES. I TOOK TO MY MECHANIC AND THEY TOOK IT APART COMPLETELY SAID HAD TO REPLACE THE TORQUE CONVERTER. SO THIS WILL BE A $1000 REPAIR AND I HOPE THIS WILL RESOLVE THE ISSUE.

WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, MY SITUATIONAL AWARENESS WAS EXTREMELY COMPROMISED WHEN MY DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR INADVERTENTLY CAME DOWN AND WOULD NO LONGER STAY IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION. I HAD TO DRIVE WITH IT THIS WAY FOR THE REST OF MY TRIP (OVER 2 HOURS) WITH HEAVY RAIN. IT WAS DANGEROUS AS MY VISIBILITY WAS SUBSTANTIALLY OBSTRUCTED WITH THE VISOR. A QUICK SEARCH IN THE INTERNET REVEALED THAT THIS IS A SOMEWHAT COMMON OCCURRENCE DUE TO POOR VISOR DESIGN AND NISSAN SEEMS TO BE OVERLOOKING THE ISSUE. REPLACEMENT VISORS ARE SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS AND SEEM TO FAIL ALIKE IN THE SAME SPOT (THE ARM HEADLINER ATTACHMENT). The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with corrosion on the rear subframe, causing the rear subframe to fail. Upon driving the vehicle, it became apparent that the subframe had broke off causing the left rear tire to turn inward/outward. This particular part had become very eroded/corroded causing this part to break causing the vehicle to be inoperable.The vehicle was operating at a speed of 5-10mph at the time of the malfunction.

We had is in for a NY state inspection and was told that this would not pass for next year because of the sub frame. They said this would cost $4'000 !!!! We can,t pay that! Why can't Nissan take care of this and stand behind your cars!

I was driving in snowstorm could barely move ….Murano was swaying ….stopped waited for snow to stop….didn’t drive for the rest of winter ….in spring tried to drive noticed tires were worn out only on inside in the rear ….replaced them went get rear wheel alignment….mechanic said sway bar rusted off of sun frame ….sun frame is completely rotted out ….very dangerous going to check at thousands to fix ….I noticed that this has happened to a lot of people with this year Murano ….I don’t drive often but it only has 86000 miles on it….people were complaining online ….why hasn’t this been forced to be recalled? Do people have to die first?

Rear sub-frame broke by rear stabilizer and caused the tire’s to turn in on top, bad design from a rich company makes Nissans throw away and will kill someone . Cheap design and will stay away from Nissans in future.

I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR SMOKING ONCE I START DRIVING. I HAVE TO CONSISTENTLY ADD MOTOR OIL AND IT SMOKES MORE. MY MECHANIC TELLS ME HE RAN TWO DIAGNOSTIC TESTS AND NOTHINGS COMING UP. THEN MY DAUGHTER AND GRANDDAUGHTER WERE ON RT 130 IN PENNSAUKEN NJ MY SUV JUST STALLED AND WOULDN'T LET ME GIVE IT GAS. THEN IT JUST JUMPED INTO GEAR. IT DID IT TWICE WHILE CARS WERE SPEEDING BY TRYING TO AVOID REAR ENDING ME. MY HEART FELT LIKE IT FELL INTO MY SEAT. I HAD TO PUT MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON UNTIL I COULD FIND A SPOT TO PULL IN.IT HAPPENED AGAIN THE NEXT DAY. RIGHT NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR THIS TO HAPPEN. I TURNED THE WIPERS ON HIGH AND LISTENED FOR THE MOTOR WHICH WAS RUNNING BUT IT SEEMED WIPER WERE DETACHED. I SPENT 2 DAYS DRIVING TO AND FROM WORK AT NIGHT WITH RAIN AND SNOW FALL EACH WAY. I WAS DANGEROUS BUT I COULD NOT CALL IN. MY FAMILY AND I HAVE BEEN LOOKING UP THIS ISSUE AND APPARENTLY IT IS VERY COMMON FOR MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF NISSANS TO HAVE THIS LINKAGE BRAKE.

THE DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR WILL NOT STAY UP AND FALLS DOWN INTO THE FIELD OF VISION OF THE DRIVER. THIS IS A KNOWN DEFECT AND NISSAN WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THE EQUIPMENT IS DEFECTIVE AND SHOULD BE REPLACED UNDER RECALL.

The rear subframe is rusted through in several areas. The rear sway bar connection point on the rear driver side control arm is no longer connected due to rust. The rear tires are slanted inward causing uneven tire wear. The vehicle sways from side to side while driving on any surface that is even slightly slick. The problem was discovered while replacing the rear brakes on the vehicle.

Had previously felt some shaking in car as accelerating on roadway. Did not realize at that time the my rear subframe was rusting out. When Murano was parked in driveway noticed that the back wheels where turned inward. After inspecting car found that there was a lot of rust on my rear subframe making it unsafe to use this vehicle anymore. Cost of repairs are well over 2,000. This vehicle had just turned 100k miles when this happened.

When i applied the brakes the car pulled to the right so I brought it to my mechanic to find out the rear control arm bracket pulled out of the sub frame near the body bushing the rest of the car is not rotten only parts of the sub frame

ALL THE LIGHTS COME ON BY THEMSELVES (INTERIOR LIGHTS/EXTERIOR LIGHTS/HEADLAMPS) AND THE ONLY WAY TO SHUT THEM OFF IS TO REMOVE THE BATTERY TERMINALS FROM THEIR POSTS. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND THE CAR IS PARKED AND THE ENGINE IS OFF. THERE IS A HIGH-PITCHED RINGING SOUND WHENEVER THE FRONT DRIVERS DOOR IS UNLOCKED. WHILE I'M DRIVING AND THE FOB IS IN MY POCKET, AN ALARM BEGINS TO SOUND AND ALERTS THAT THE KEY-FOB IS NOT INSIDE THE VEHICLE; I MUST STOP, SHUT OFF THE ENGINE, REMOVE THE ACTUAL KEY FROM THE FOB AND INSERT IT INTO THE IGNITION AND RESTART THE VEHICLE (BATTERY IN THE KEY-FOB HAS BEEN CHANGED SEVERAL TIMES AND THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS). TRAVELING EAST ON HIGHWAY 287 THROUGH TOWN MY CAR LOST ALL POWER SO I COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN THE MIDDLE OF HEAVY TRAFFIC. THE CAR WAS STILL RUNNING BUT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHILE IN GEAR ALTHOUGH IT WOULD IN PARK OR NEUTRAL. EVENTUALLY IT WOULD QUIT AND ONLY START WITH A JUMP THEN RUN FOR A LITTLE WHILE. THE NEXT DAY I WENT TO GO PICK UP MY CAR ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD HAVING SOMEBODY GIVE ME A JUMP AND THEN IT WOULDN'T START AT ALL. SO THEN I WENT AND GOT A NEW BATTERY AND IT RAN FOR AS LONG AS IT TOOK TO RUN THAT BATTERY DOWN. I REPLACED ALTERNATOR A YEAR AGO WHEN I WAS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. A 2007 NISSAN MURANO BOUGHT NEW MAY 2007AND SINCE NEW THE VEHICLE HAS MADE A LOUD SQUEALING SOUND FROM THE BRAKES WHEN IN REVERSE. CAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN SERVICED AT THE CONYERS NISSAN DEALER BUT EVEN THOUGH THE ITEM WAS BROUGHT TO THEIR ATTENTION THEY SAID THERE WAS NO FIX FOR IT. ANOTHER INCIDENT THE VEHICLE WAS LEFT AT THE DEALERSHIP THE WHOLE DAY, TO NO AVAIL. THE MOST RECENT VISIT AND AFTER ANOTHER COMPLAINT THE SERVICE ADVISOR CHECKED THE SERVICE BULLETINS AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS ONE ISSUED FOR THAT PROBLEM AND REPLACED THE FRONT BRAKE PADS. HOWEVER THAT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM AND DURING A RECENT ROUTINE SERVICE VISIT THE DEALER SAID THAT THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE BRAKE ROTORS AND PADS WHICH HAD TO BE RE-SURFACED AND TURNED AT A COST OF $250.00 PLUS TAX. WE DO NOT FEEL THAT THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A CHARGE SINCE THE PROBLEM EXISTED SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NEW AND THEY DID NOT HAVE A FIX FOR IT AT FIRST. THEY ARE CITING THE BRAKE WARRANTY WHICH EXPIRES AFTER 12000 MILES CLAIMING NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR CAUSED THE PROBLEM. I HAVE A 2007 NISSAN MURANO THAT WE PURCHASE A FEW MONTHS AGO. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN REVERSE AND THE BRAKE PEDAL IS APPLIED, THERE IS A HORRIBLE SQUEAKING/WHISTLING/GRINDING NOISE THAT OCCURS. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE DEALER 4 TIMES AND THEY CONSISTENTLY STATE THEY ARE WORKING ON A SOLUTION BUT NISSAN DOES NOT KNOW WHAT IS REALLY WRONG WITH THEM AND ONLY OFFER A SUGGESTIVE CHANGE IN BRAKE PADS AND USING A SPECIAL GREASE TO LESSEN THE NOISE FOR A FEW DAYS. THEY EVENTUALLY CHANGED OUT THE ROTORS ON THE LAST TRIP A COUPLE WEEKS AGO AND TOLD US THE PROBLEM NISSAN STATES IS THERE WAS A CHANGE IN THE "NISSAN BRAKE PADS" AND THERE IS TO MUCH METALLIC IN THE PADS NOW WHICH IS CAUSING THE NOISE. SINCE THAT VISIT, WE HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO ANOTHER REPAIR SHOP AND HAD AND "AFTER-MARKET BRAKE PAD" PLACED ON THE CAR SINCE NISSAN STATES IS WAS ONLY A PROBLEM WITH THEIR MAKE OF BRAKE PAD. WE VERY QUICKLY LEARNED THIS WAS NOT TRUE! THE NOISE AND GRINDING IS WORSE. IT HAS EVEN BECOME NOTICEABLE ANYTIME YOU APPLY THE BRAKES AND THE BRAKES DO NOT FEEL LIKE THEY ARE GRABBING CORRECTLY. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AND DO NOT THINK WE SHOULD HAVE TO PAY $40K FOR A CAR AND NOT HAVE SECURITY WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM. I had noticed that my car would sway when driving around a curve or when switching lanes and was going to take it to the shop to be checked out, but my back passenger tire went flat on my way home from work which was odd because they were brand new tires. When I went to change the tire I noticed that the inside of the tire was completely worn and wires were sticking out. I drove home at 35-40mph because the sway was even worse with the spare tire. I had a mechanic come to my home to check the car out because I was afraid to drive it any further. When he jacked the car up to see what was going on, upon inspection he noticed the sway bar had come loose on the passenger and driver side of the car and that the sub frame on the driver side of the car was completely rusted through. The mechanic was able to reattach the sway bar, but advised not to drive it until the sub frame could be fixed. I contacted a certified welder and had my car towed to the welder to have the frame welded back together. The certified welder was only able to partially weld the frame and stated that the car would need the frame replaced because it was too rusted out to properly fix and that it was not safe to drive. Now I’m without a vehicle even though the car is in great running condition because the frame is unable to be fixed and the cost to buy a new frame and have the work done is more than the car kbb values the car for. I don’t know why this issue hasn’t been recalled and fixed. I could have crashed and died and my children left without a mother. It’s sad to see so many complaints and nothing done about it.

To whom this may concern ,Y husband owns a Nissan Murano 2007 AWD. He uses this car as his daily as he has to travel for work from Shirley NY to Garden City NY 5-6 times a week . On Dec 10th as he was leaving home to go to work he got on the main road and his car lost control . Thank god there was no one around him and everyone was alert because his car almost caused a fatal accident . My father was able to tow it back home and I started calling mechanic shops to see who would be able to check his car and fix it asap . I finally get in touch with a mechanic and my father takes it to his shop the mechanic looked at the car and told us that his whole K Frame was rusted and came off completely . He said “ this is a common issue with Nissan Murano 2007 , I worked at Nissan dealership and we would see this all the time and it’s very dangerous you cannot drive this car” My question is if this is such a common issue . Why isn’t this recalled? Why are these car still out on the road? We have to spend insane amount of money that we don’t have to fix this issue because we can’t afford to buy a brand new car but no only that my husband could’ve almost lost his life and hurt other ones because of this issue . This seriously needs to be fixed . After doing my research I see many people complained about this not only a while back but recently and still nothing has been done . Our car is still in the shop and we have no idea when we’ll get it back due to the cost of these parts . Please do something about this .

The rear frame and rear control arms are completely rusted away. We had it looked at when it did not feel right while driving and it smelled like burning rubber when driving short distances. The mechanic refused to service it because of what he saw. It was not safe, which means it is not safe to drive. The tires are tilted in at the top. It is unsafe to drive. It has @ 141k miles. You all are endangering lives if you do not recall for this issue, as I have now seen multiple folks that have also complained about the same issue. WHY IS THERE NO RECALL?? Now we have a vehicle that we can not drive, because it is not safe AND we can not sell, because it is not safe. Please reach out to me on or before 8/25/22, if Nissan is willing to resolve.

RECENTLY MY WIFE HAD BEEN INFORMING ME OF A PROBLEM ON OUR 2007 NISSAN MURANO WAS UNSTABLE WHEN BEING DRIVEN, AND MAKES LOUD CLUNKING NOISES WHEN TURNING AND REVERSING AT LOW SPEED. I DROVE THE SUV MYSELF ON DECEMBER 2ND, AND WHILE TURNING A CORNER AT A MAJOR INTERSECTION IT WENT OVER A SMALL BUMP OR MANHOLE COVER. AT THAT TIME THE REAR END OF THE CAR FISHTAILED, AND I NEARLY LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE REST OF THE DRIVE HOME THE VEHICLE FELT UNSTABLE WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH ON A DRY, SMOOTH, AND STRAIGHT ROAD. UPON ARRIVING HOME, ABOUT 1 MILE FROM WHERE THE INCIDENT HAPPENED I NOTICED THE DRIVER SIDE REAR WHEEL WAS CAMBERED INWARDS ABOUT 10-15 DEGREES. I CONTACTED MY MECHANIC BY PHONE, AND HE TOLD ME TO NOT DRIVE THE CAR AND HAVE IT TOWED TO HIS INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP FOR AN INSPECTION. WHEN HE LIFTED THE VEHICLE OFF THE GROUND HE DISCOVERED THE PROBLEM. HE SENT ME THE ATTACHED PICTURE, AND SAID THE VEHICLE'S SUBFRAME HAS 'EXTREME' RUST WHICH IS UNUSUAL FOR ONLY BEING 12 YEARS OLD, AND THAT IT IS 'NOT SAFE TO DRIVE'. ADDITIONALLY I HAVE READ MANY ARTICLES OF OTHER NISSAN VEHICLES HAVING PROBLEMS WITH CORROSION UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE FOR STATES THAT USE ROAD SALT IN THE WINTER. CURRENTLY THERE IS A REPAIR CAMPAIGN GOING ON WITH NISSAN ALTIMA CORROSION ISSUES, AND I AM CONCERNED MANY OTHER MURANO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS MINE. NO POWERSTEERING, NO ACCELERATION, NO BRAKES, ALL OF THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH TURNED ON LIKE THE ENGINE SHUT OFF, AND THE KEY WAS TURNED BACK TO ELECTRICAL (WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING, I'M 100% SURE THE CAR TURNED OFF WITHOUT THE IGNITION KEY SWITCHING TO OFF). THIS HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 5 TIMES NOW. THE CODE P0345 ACTIVATED SHORTLY AFTER THE SECOND TIME IT HAPPENED. IT HAS HAPPENED WHEN DECELERATING/BRAKING, ACCELERATING, AND COASTING, LOW AND HIGH SPEEDS. I CALLED THE POLICE, THEY BLOCKED THE LANE I WAS IN AND CALLED A LOCAL TOW TRUCK SERVICE THAT I HAD TO PAY FOR OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE IT WAS AN EMERGENCY DANGEROUS SITUATION TO GET IT OFF THE ROAD AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND THE POLICE COULD NOT CHANCE TO WAIT FOR MY INSURANCE COMPANY TO SEND A TOW SERVICE.

AS I WAS DRIVING IN TRAFFIC (APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH), I APPLIED THE BRAKES AT THE STOPLIGHT AND THERE WAS A SUDDEN LOUD SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE. WHEN I APPLIED THE GAS, THERE WAS NO POWER, BUT THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO REV UP. WITH CARS FLYING BY ME, THIS WAS TERRIFYING FOR ME AND MY GRANDDAUGHTERS. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY MISDIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM, TWICE. OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS, MY MURANO BEGAN TO RANDOMLY SKIP/HESITATE WITH STANDARD RPM AND EXTREMELY HIGH RPM. THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP HAD MY CAR FOR OVER A MONTH, SAYING THEY HAD REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THE "PROBLEM " IS THERE, STILL THERE. ALSO THERE IS NO GUARANTEE/WARRANTY ON WARRANTED WORK. I NOW HAVE NOTHING.AND SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR THAT IT WILL FAIL IN TRAFFIC.

2007 NISSAN MURANO. MY FAMILY HAS OWNED A 2007 NISSAN MURANO FOR NEARLY 8 YEARS. IN THE LAST YEAR, MY WIFE HAS EXPERIENCED EXTREME TRAUMA AS SHE HAS HAD THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY DIE ON HER WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF FREEWAYS, HIGHWAYS, AND RESIDENTIAL ROADS. WE HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE TAKEN IN AND INSPECTED BY MULTIPLE NISSAN DEALERSHIPS AND EACH VISIT HAS ONLY RESULTED IN THEIR RECOMMENDATION OF ROUTINE MAINTENANCE BEING SUGGESTED, SUCH AS TRANSMISSION FLUID EXCHANGE, BRAKE REPAIR, OR BATTERY REPLACEMENT. OUR MURANO HAS RECENTLY DECIDED TO REPEAT THESE SAME ISSUES AFTER OVER A YEAR OF NORMAL FUNCTION. MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE NORMALLY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN SHE BEGAN TO LOSE POWER UNTIL THE CAR CAME TO A STOP AND THE FUNCTION OF THE VEHICLE STOPPED DUE TO WHAT APPEARED TO BE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. AFTER ASSESSING THE ISSUE, I ATTEMPTED TO JUMP START THE VEHICLE WITH JUMPER CABLES, WHICH ALLOWED THE MURANO TO START, BUT ONCE IT WAS INDEPENDENTLY IDLING, IT WOULD AGAIN LOSE POWER AFTER AN ATTEMPT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. I AM HEAVILY CONCERNED FOR THE WELFARE OF MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER AS THEY DRIVE THIS CAR DAILY. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIPS THAT I TYPICALLY RELY ON FOR THESE CRITICAL REPAIRS HAVE BEEN NO HELP AND I AM AT A LOSS FOR WHY THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH SUCH A LONG TIME FRAME BETWEEN ISSUES. I HOPE THAT NISSAN WILL ISSUE A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM AND RECTIFY ANY PRIOR REPAIRS THAT HAVE BEEN SUGGESTED AS A RESOLUTION TO THE ISSUE THAT MAY VERY WELL HAVE NOT RESOLVED THE TRUE ISSUE AT HAND. I AM IN DIRE NEED OF ANSWERS AS TO WHY A WELL MAINTAINED VEHICLE WOULD BE FINE ONE MINUTE AND THEN COMPLETELY INOPERABLE THE NEXT. HAVING A SECURE ENVIRONMENT IS PARAMOUNT IN CERTAIN NEIGHBORHOODS. WHEN LOCKING THE DOORS IT'S IMPERATIVE NOBODY CAN GAIN ACCESS AT WILL BY WALKING UP TO THE CAR. IF ANYONE CAN SIMPLY OPEN THE DOOR TO GAIN ACCESS, CARJACKING, INJURY, OR EVEN MURDER IS EASIER. IF THE DOORS LOCKED PROPERLY THIS PROVIDES A MORE SECURE ENVIRONMENT FOR THIS TYPE OF SCENARIO. 2. DEALERSHIP HAD THIS PART READILY AVAILABLE IN STOCK, WHICH LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE AWARE THAT THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW ON THIS TANK. Driving to work in the rain the vehicle began to sway when breaks were applied. The back of the vehicle went right and the car went left. I moved to the right lane and the vehicle fishtailed! I was totally afraid that I could drive into a ditch or be killed on the highway. I drove very slowly to the repair shop, after inspection, I needed struts but then the mechanic looked further and saw that the rear k-subframe was completely corroded and unable to be welded. The one piece was completely apart from the other. A danger to drive. Once I began to look for a replacement part, I began to see how many other Murano owners have had the same issues with the subframe rusting out. This is absolutely crazy that this part is not recalled as the part is defective in the construction of it. Nissan should be ashamed. My life and my daughter's was at risk. There are no warning lights to advise of this problem prior to its failure.

About a year ago my husband and I noticed there was alot of rust in the rear end on the sway bar and around it not to long after the sway bar looked as If it was going to come apart on the left side my husband got it to stay put for a little while but as time went on the truck just became more unsafe anytime we tried to drive it it was all over the road it's kept pulling to the left very badly we noticed that the back tires were not straight and bowing out my husband changed the front tire on the left for unrelated reasons and then the next day we was driving and the awd light started flashing we were heading home and went to take off from a red light when I hit the gas the whole rear end exploded into pieces and now we definitely can't use it the only way to is to replace the rear end. Since we bought this SUV it's been nothing but problems and money and now we have no transportation are truck was how we make money were self employed so now we can't even make money to survive or even repair the SUV. The truck has been very unsafe since day 1 we bought it and all because of the back end of it. Someone needs to recall this vehicle asap before someone gets hurt and someone needs to help me fixy vehicle or get into another one cause this is not my fault and now I'm suffering not being able to make money or survive without a vehicle my mom is disabled and has a tumor I have to be able to take her to appointments and store etc. This is not fair to us cause of a problem you guys should have taken care of a long time ago. BOUGHT THE CAR 5 MONTHS AGO. WAS DRIVING AWESOME. BRAND NEW TIRES! VERY WELL MAINTAINED WITH LOTS OF PAPERWORK STATING WORK DONE ON VEHICLE!..:WELL WAS DRIVING IT THE OTHER DAY WITH MY 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND IT STARTED TO OVER HEAT I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER AFTER GOING 60 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY FOR OVER AN HOUR. I NOTICED THE CAR HANDLED VERY POORLY IN SNOW/ICE/WET CONDITIONS OVER THE WINTER. THE CAR WAS IN THE SHOP FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND THE MECHANIC NOTICED BOTH REAR TIRES WERE WORN DOWN TO NOTHING ON THE INSIDE OF THE TIRE. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, HE FOUND THAT THE REAR SUBFRAME HAD RUSTED THROUGH AND BROKEN INTO TWO. THE VEHICLE WAS DECLARED UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I BOUGHT THE CAR USED THIS PAST SUMMER, BUT I HAVE THE SERVICE RECORDS AND I KNOW IT WAS PROPERLY MAINTAINED. THE ESTIMATED COST OF REPAIRS IS MORE THAN I CAN AFFORD ($5,000). I CONTACTED NISSAN TO SEE IF THEY WOULD PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE WITH REPAIRS AND I SPOKE WITH 3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE (FIRST CONSUMER AFFAIRS, THEN A SUPERVISOR, AND FINALLY A MANAGER), WHO ALL TOLD ME THAT THEY ARE "NOT IN A POSITION TO ASSIST BECAUSE THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY". THE LAST PERSON (MANAGER, CONSUMER AFFAIRS) WOULDN'T EVEN LET ME SPEAK BEFORE HE TOLD ME THEY WOULDN'T OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. I HAVE A 2007 NISSAN MURANO SL WITH ABOUT 52,000 MILES AND WHEN I REPLACED ALL 4 TIRES, A SLOW AIR LEAK DEVELOPED WHERE THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR (TPM) SEALS AGAINST THE INSIDE OF THE WHEEL. THE TPM WAS NEVER MOVED OR REPLACED WHEN THE NEW TIRES WERE MOUNTED. THE TIRE PRESSURE READ FROM BOTH THE DASHBOARD AND A HAND HELD DEVICE READS ABOUT 19 PSI WHEN IT SHOULD BE ABOUT 35 PSI. IT TAKES ABOUT 2 WEEKS TO BE REDUCED. THE INSIDE SEAL ON THE TPS IS REPLACEABLE HOWEVER THE TPS NUT ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE WHEEL THAT MUST BE REMOVED IS SEIZED AND BEING ALUMINUM, ITS THREADS ARE EASILY STRIPPED. IN CONCLUSION, TO FIX THE AIR LEAK, I HAVE TO PURCHASE A NEW TPS AT ABOUT $100 EACH. WITH ONLY 52,000 MILES, THE TPS SEAL AND THREADS SHOULD NOT BE HAVING THESE PROBLEMS. *TR

TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) IS DEFECTIVE. THE PRESSURE INDICATOR IN MY VEHICLE CONSTANTLY LIGHTS UP TELLING ME MY TIRES ARE UNDERINFLATED. I HAVE CHECKED THE TIRES WITH THREE DIFFERENT TYPES OF PRESSURE GAUGES AND THE READING IS THE RECOMMENDED 32 PSI BUT THE CAR SAYS 27 PSI. WHEN I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO NISSAN THEY TOLD ME TO OVER INFLATE MY TIRES TO 37 PSI WHEN THE PLACARD IN THE DOOR SAYS TO INFLATE TO 32 PSI. BASICALLY THE TPMS IS OFF BY 16% WHICH I BELIEVE IS A SAFETY CONCERN. EITHER I OVER INFLATE MY TIRES, RESULTING IN LESS STABILITY AND UNEVEN WEAR, OR I IGNORE THE WARNING LIGHT AND TAKE THE RISK THAT I MAY DRIVE OVER A NAIL OR OTHER ROAD HAZARD AND NOT KNOW ABOUT IT. I FIND THE PROBLEM ESPECIALLY INTERESTING WHEN YOU SEE THAT ON ALL OF MY NISSAN MAINTENANCE WORK THEY REPORT THEY INFLATED THE TIRES TO 33 PSI, WHEN IN TRUTH THEY INFLATE IT TO 36-37 PSI SO THAT THE LIGHT WILL NOT COME ON. I WAS DRIVING MY CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC WHEN I PUSHED ON THE GAS AND THE VEHICLE WASN'T MOVING ANYMORE. THE BATTERY AND BRAKE LIGHT BOTH CAME ON. AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO MOVE MY CAR TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BY PUSHING ON THE GAS. BUT THE CAR WASN'T MOVING FAST. AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES EVRETHING CAME BACK TO NORMAL. The contact owns a 2007 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that a power steering fluid leak was initially discovered on her vehicle and the power steering hose was replaced. The contact then stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would shut off without warning. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where she was informed that the power steering pump was defective and needed to be replaced. The failure persisted after the repair and the vehicle was later diagnosed by the same dealer with a defective camshaft and catalytic converter. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

I BROUGHT MY CAR TO REED NISSAN TO BE DIAGNOSED BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. THEY DIAGNOSED THE CAR AND SAID THAT A FEW THINGS NEEDED FIXING AND WHEN FIX THE LIGHT WILL BE GONE. I PAID TO FIX THE CAR AND WHEN I WAS DRIVING HOME THE CHECK EGINE LIGHT CAME BACK. I CALLED BACK AND SPOKE TO MY SERVUCE ADVISOR WHO TOLD ME TO BRING BACK THE CAR TO BE RE DIAGNOSED. THE FINDING WAS ANOTHER PROBLEM THAT APPARENTLY DIDNT SHOW UP BECAUSE OF HOW LONG THE CAR TOOK TO BE FIX. I AGREE TO REPLACED WHAT THEY QUOTE ME THE PRICE FOR BUT INSTEAD I GOT THE OPPOSITE. The rear subframe rusted off on drivers side. I financed this car only 10 months ago and now I can not drive it. It is very dangerous to drive, and the mechanic told me I should no longer drive it because of how dangerous it is. I have seen numerous complaints about people having the same rear subframe rusting. I can not afford to get it fixed and I’m still paying on the car. I got it for $7,500 and have put over $2,000 in it. I still have $4,500 left on it. They need a recall, this is a safety hazard for not only the driver and passengers, but for civilians walking or driving by the car, which at any moment the tire can fly off. Please recall the vehicles before someone puts in a lawsuit.

I WAS PULLING OUT OF A GAS STATION WHEN A FRIEND POINTED OUT THAT THE MUFFLER/EXHAUST PIPES OF VEHICLE WERE HANGING VERY LOW TO THE GROUND. MECHANIC INSPECTED IT AND REAR SUBFRAME RUSTED THROUGH AND BROKEN. THE REAR WHEELS ARE WORN ON THE INSIDE AND ARE MISALIGNED. THEY ARE TILTING IN TOWARDS EACH OTHER. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS. I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NOT A RECALL AND THAT I WOULD NEED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THEM LOOK AT IT AND FOR THE REPAIR. I WAS GIVEN A CASE # AND ASKED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF OWNERSHIP. I RECENTLY PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM A FAMILY MEMBER. AS THE CAR WAS INOPERABLE I HAD AAA TOW IT TO THE NEAREST NISSAN DEALERSHIP. Hello, i would like to report a problem. Didnt really see anything about transmission on the choices listed above. Well i got this car used from someone. Didnt really noticed the transmission problem until i was driving it for a while on the freeway. The transmission is just so bad . It is stuck on 3rd gear all the way. At high speeds. So imagine, the engine is whining so bad. The car basically wants to give up now. Still starts, revers, goes foward with no problem. Shifting is the problem. Also, ive checked the transmission fluid. Its still at a perfect level. Yes, it has roughly 129,000 miles on it. But really? This car should be lasting longer. Please. I really dont want to pay out of pocket for a whole new transmission. Theres got to be a way or something you guys could do to help me and my family.

ON MARCH 14TH, I PURCHASED A 2007 NISSAN MURANO FROM A PRIVATE OWNER. I WAS TOLD THE THROTTLE BOTTLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AFTER REPLACING THE THROTTLE BOTTLE THE MURANO FELT LIKE IT LOST ALL POWER WHEN I ACCELERATED BUT THE VEHICLE WAS STILL ON. CONTACTED THE SELLER AND HE SAID THEY'VE NEVER HAD ANY TRANSMISSION ISSUES OR ANYTHING. I FOLLOWED UP WITH GETTING THE SPARK PLUGS CHANGED, TRANSMISSION FUEL AND FILTER CHANGED, A BRAND NEW BATTERY AND AN OIL CHANGE. THIS WORKED FOR ABOUT A MONTH UP UNTIL EARLY APRIL OF 2021. THE VEHICLE NOW SEEMS AS THOUGH IT'S IN LIMO MODE. NO MECHANIC WANTS TO WORK ON IT AND I FEEL COMPLETELY CHEATED AND AT A TOTAL LOSS. MY MURANO HAS BEEN STALLING TO PICK UP SPEED HAVE REPLACED OVER $1500 IN PARTS. BUT STILL CANT LOCATE THE PROBLEM, AT THE MECHANIC SHOP THEY SAID IT COULD BE THE SOLENOID SENSOR BUT THEY DONT KNOW IF IT COULD BE IT.WHEN DRIVING ON HIGHWAY SOMETIMES IT WILL NOT PICK UP SPEED AND WILL ONLY DRIVE 30 TO 40 MPH. OTHER TIMES WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY IT WILL STAY AT 60MPH AND WILL NOT GO OVER. THE ENGINE LOOKS A BIT SHIFTED AS WELL I DON'T KNOW WHAT COULD HAVE CAUSED IT. I HATE TO COMPLAIN AND I'VE NEVER FILED A COMPLAINT BEFORE, BUT SOME TYPE OF MOTION HAS TO BE ENFORCED WITH THE NISSAN MURANO LINE OF VEHICLES. THERE ARE SO MANY ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE THAT I HAVE CHOSEN TO LIST THE MOST HAZARDOUS AND FRUSTRATING ONES. THE FIRST ISSUE WAS RECALLED. MONTHS BEFORE A RECALL WAS FINALLY ENFORCED, I ALMOST GOT SEVERELY HURT AT A STOPLIGHT WHEN THE AIR EXHAUST HOSE SLIPPED OFF ON MY 2007 NISSAN MURANO, WHICH CAUSED IT TO COMPLETELY STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING THROUGH THE STOPLIGHT. THE SECOND ISSUE WILL ALSO CAUSE NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES/DEATHS IF A RECALL IS NOT ENFORCED. MY DRIVER SIDE SEAT AND 1,000S OF OTHERS' DRIVER SIDE SEATS HAVE A COLLAPSED REAR BRACKET WHICH CAUSES THE SEAT TO MOVE BACK IN FORTH. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! A REAR-END COLLISION COULD BE JUST AS FATAL AS A HEAD ON COLLISION DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE SEAT WILL MOVE FORWARD AND THROW THE DRIVER INTO THE AIR BAG BREAKING THEIR NECK AND VARIOUS OTHER FATAL INJURIES TO GRAPHIC TO LIST. I FORESEE A HUGE LAWSUIT AS NISSAN HAS BEEN ALERTED OF THIS ISSUE MANY TIMES AND REFUSES TO COVER IT, EVEN FOR VEHICLES STILL UNDER WARRANTY. INSTEAD, THEY CHARGE ON AVERAGE $1,200 TO FIX IT. NO MATTER WHAT KIND OF BRAKES YOU HAVE INSTALLED OR WHO INSTALLS THEM (EVEN THE DEALER), THEY STILL SQUEAK EXTREMELY LOUD. THE SEATBELT RELEASE MECHANISM HAS BECOME INTERMITTENT (STICKY) OVER THE PAST SEVERAL WEEKS. AFTER 32,000 MILES MY 2007 NISSAN MURANO DOOR LOCKS BEGAN OPENING A CLOSING WHILE DRIVING. THIS BEGAN AFTER REPLACEMENT OF BATTERY BY DEALER. THE DOOR LOCKS OPEN AND CLOSE WITH NO WITH NO SPECIFIC TIMING. SOMETIMES CLICKING OCCURS IMMEDIATELY OTHER TIMES AFTER A HALF HOUR OF DRIVING. WENT TO DEALER AND THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE. NOW PASSENGER DOOR AND REAR DOOR LOCKS DO NOT UNLOCK UNLESS DOUBLE CLICK OF THE DOOR SWITCH ON DRIVERS DOOR. DEALER SUGGESTED I RETURN TO REPLACE THE ACTUATOR. I AM CONCERNED THIS MAY BE VERY EXPENSIVE. THIS SHOULD BE A VEHICLE RECALL DUE TO THE LOW MILES YEAR AND MAKE OF VEHICLE. SO WHY IS IT A SAFETY ISSUE? 1. HAVING A SECURE ENVIRONMENT IS PARAMOUNT IN CERTAIN NEIGHBORHOODS. WHEN LOCKING THE DOORS IT'S IMPERATIVE NOBODY CAN GAIN ACCESS AT WILL BY WALKING UP TO THE CAR. IF ANYONE CAN SIMPLY OPEN THE DOOR TO GAIN ACCESS, CARJACKING, INJURY, OR EVEN MURDER IS EASIER. IF THE DOORS LOCKED PROPERLY THIS PROVIDES A MORE SECURE ENVIRONMENT FOR THIS TYPE OF SCENARIO. 2. PASSENGER AIR BAG SENSOR. This is blinking on my dash. I looked it up in the manual. It stated that the airbag may not deploy in an accident. I also got a recall notice for this same problem and called the dealer. They said that my vin was not included in the recall even though I had the same make, model and year and the same problem. I had a problem with this when the vehicle was new, they fixed it. They wanted two hundred dollars to look at it. Why is this safety problem in my vehicle not included?

Please recall electrical system, started out the doors not locking and trunk wont open then inside lights would not come on. I put my steering wheel down lower and when I did the car would not start. The inside lights come on when the car wont start then when I move steering wheel back up the lights go back off and the car will start again. The all wheel drive lock button will not work and the all wheel drive kicks in and out on it's own while driving the vehicle. While my children and I were on our way to town the vehicle started to lose power and the steering wheel was hard to handle then the all wheel drive locked in and out and then power was back. It was scary and it almost caused me to crash and people to crash into me from sudden speed reduction. The mechanics I take my vehicles to told me I'll have to take it to a Nissan dealership to get the electrical system taken care of or replaced.

I purchased a 2007 Nissan Murano the end of June. The first time I drove it on a wet road I almost lost control, and I was driving well BELOW the speed limit. The next week I got different tires put on and took it for an alignment. The first independent service center I took it to showed me where the rear subframe on BOTH the driver and passenger were completely rusted through, and they told me I should drive the vehicle as little as possible until I got it fixed. I took it to a second independent service center to see if it could be fixed without having to be completely replaced, they told me they could not, nor could an aligment be done and that I should stop driving it immediately. I had only had the car for a month and a half before I had to park it. This is a MAJOR issue that needs to be addressed by Nissan!! I don't have the money to have the car fixed, nor can I sell it. So I'm making payments on a car that is doing nothing but collecting dust and taking up space. Unfortunately I am learning that this is a major issue with this vehicle. Nissan needs to fix it before people are killed, not just people driving the vehicle, but other motorists, and possible pedestrians. The airbag light is also on and I haven't been in an accident, nor has there been any work done to it since I bought it.

The rear subframe is extremely rusted and breaking into pieces in multiple areas. The vehicle shakes upon acceleration and slowing down. Due to being lower income I cannot afford to fix the subframe (estimated to cost $400 for the the frame not including labor). Also the vacuum lines dry rotted and fell apart.

Recently my 2007 Nissan Murano was dragging a little on slow speeds. I checked the wheels and found the driver's side rear brake had more brake dust then the other side. I pulled the wheels and found that the brake caliper was froze. I bought two "new" calipers and rotors and replaced them. I then used an Air driven suction device to replace all the fluid in the system and bleed the air out of the system. When I started it up the brake pedal was very spongy so I brought to the local tire Kingdom about 1/2 mile away and let them bleed it out. They stated that the master cylinder was now no good. I purchased a "new" master cylinder installed it, and re-bleed the system. The pedal was still dangerously spongy and low so on 06/14/202I the vehicle to the local Nissan dealer. After a few days they stated that the "ABS Brake Actuator" was not functioning. I questioned why the ABS warning light didn't come on and they didn't know. The dealer said the part was no longer available new so hey offered to get one from LKQ scrap yard for $780.00 and for $220.00 more it would be covered for a year. I looked into the issue and found that the 2009 Murano's were recalled for this issue, so I inquired what year was the part coming out of. They didn't know so I got one on my own from the exact same vehicle and brought to them to install. A few days later they stated that the new "Master Cylinder" was defective. I went back to Nappa Auto and bought another one and gave to them to install and re-bleed the system. My question is a vehicle with an ABS warning light a Brake System warning light and even just a Engine check light never came on, why not? The dealer has no answer for me and I am concerned that this will happen again and possibly at a higher rate of speed. Can you investigate this incident for me? I HAD TO REPLACE MY ALTENATOR 3 TIMES. I BOUGHT THE CAR 2 YEARS AGO AT 90,000 MILES. WHEN IT FIRST WENT OUT, I BOUGHT ONE FROM AUTOZONE, THEN 4 MONTHS LATER IS WENT OUT. I HAD A WARRANTY THRU AUTOZONE ON THE PARTS SO THE PART WAS REPLACED BUT I HAD TO COVER THE LABOR COST. 2 MONTHS LATER THE ALTENATOR REPLACE IT AGAIN BUT I WANTED LABOR COST COVERERD THIS TIME. THEY AGREED TO COVER THE PART AND LABOR. THERE MUST BE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS. I VE READ OTHER OWNERS OF THE SAME CAR HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVING WELL AND THE FUEL SENSOR WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. WE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP. THE LOWER CONTROL ARMS WERE REPLACED AT THAT TIME, HOWEVER THE FUEL SENSOR WAS NOT AS IT WAS AN ADDITIONAL EXPENSE WE COULD NOT PAY FOR OUT OF POCKET. IT WAS A CHILLY WINTER AFTERNOON AND I HAD JUST PULLED OUT OF A BUSINESS PARKING LOT INTO TRAFFIC. THE SPEED LIMIT WAS 30MPH AND I WAS SLOWLY GETTING UP TO SPEED. THE TRAFFIC LIGHT CHANGED TO RED AND WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES, NOTHING HAPPENED. IT WAS LIKE I WAS PRESSING AGAINST A SOLID WALL. I HAD TO SWERVE AROUND CARS, HONKING MY HORN AS I COULDN'T STOP. I PURCHASED MY 2007 MURANO IN AUGUST 2011. FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE, I'VE HAD MULTIPLE ISSUES. THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN A CONSTANT ISSUE, I'VE HAD TO REPLACE THE FRONT STRUTS (BEFORE 60,000 MILES) AND WAS TOLD THAT I NEED TO REPLACE THE REAR SHOCKS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, THE DRIVER SIDE VISOR IS BROKEN, 2 MONTHS AGO IT BEGAN LEAKING OIL FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON, AND NOW THE FRONT SEAT IS BROKEN, CAUSING THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE SEAT TO 'FLOAT'. I WEIGH 140 LBS SO IT'S NOT LIKE I'VE CAUSED ANY UNDUE STRESS ON THE SEAT. THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS 70,000 MILES. THE BATTERY HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE IN THE VEHICLE AND IT HAS LESS THAN 35,000 MILES ON IT. THE FIRST REPLACEMENT WAS DONE WHEN THE CAR WAS ONLY ABOUT 6 MONTHS OLD AND I JUST RECENTLY HAD TO HAVE THE BATTERY REPLACED AGAIN. THE SECOND BATTERY WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AN 84,000 MILE BATTERY AND WAS UNDER WARRANTY. HOWEVER, WHEN I WAS DRIVING IT, THE CAR DIED ON ME AND WOULD NOT START AGAIN. THE BATTERY HAD LESS THAN 26,000 MILES ON IT. NISSAN FOUGHT US ON THE REPLACEMENT EVEN THOUGH IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY, BUT WE FINALLY GOT ANOTHER ONE PUT IN. WE ARE ON OUR 3RD BATTERY IN LESS THAN 3 YEARS. THIS SAME VEHICLE HAD AN ENGINE MOUNT CRACK AT 32,000 MILES AND HAS ALSO HAD THE RADIATOR REPLACED AT 34,000 MILES. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 4 TIMES NOW IN THE LAST 2 1/2 MONTHS. WHEN THE RADIATOR WENT OUT, THE GAUGES DID NOT EVEN SAY THAT THE CAR WAS RUNNING HOT. I DISCOVERED THE ISSUE WHEN MY CAR STARTED SMOKING EVERYWHERE AND COOLANT WAS ALL OVER MY VEHICLE. NISSAN INSISTS THAT IT IS NOT AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE OF ANY KIND AND THAT THE GAUGE CAN STILL READ COOL IF THE RADIATOR GOES OUT AND THE CAR IS SMOKING. RETURNED TO DEALER APPROX. 1 MONTH LATER, AGAIN HEARING NOISES COMING FROM ENGINE AREA. WAS AGAIN DIAGNOSED W/BAD WHEEL BEARINGS ON OTHER SIDE & WAS TOLD REPLACEMENT FROM 1 MONTH PRIOR WAS DEFECTIVE & NEEDED REPLACEMENT AGAIN. QUESTIONED DEALER SERVICE DEPT. DIAGNOSIS, INDICATING THAT I ALSO SMELLED EITHER OIL BURNING OR SOME KIND OF FLUID BURNING WHEN DRIVING. WITHOUT FURTHER EXAMINATION OF VEHICLE, SERVICE DEPT. AS I DROVE HOME THERE WAS A GOOD AMOUNT OF TRAFFIC & VEHICLE SPEED DID NOT EXCEED 30 MPH FOR MAJORITY OF TRIP. UPON CLEARING OF TRAFFIC & FURTHER ACCELERATION TO APPROX. 45 MPH, THERE WAS AN EXTREMELY LOUD BANG THAT CAME FROM WHAT SOUNDED LIKE THE ENGINE AREA OF MY VEHICLE, ACCOMPANIED BY A DRAGGING & GRINDING SOUND COMING FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY VEHICLE BRINGING MY VEHICLE TO A QUICK STOP. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL SENDING UNIT FAILED ON DECEMBER 7, 2007. ON DECEMBER 22, 2007, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH IN COLD WEATHER, THE VEHICLE STALLED IN TRAFFIC. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE VEHICLE JERKED. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED, BUT THEN STALLED AGAIN. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, BUT IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE ABOVE 20 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. THE VEHICLE CONTINUALLY LOST POWER AND WOULD ONLY SHIFT INTO LOW GEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP ON JANUARY 11, 2008. A FEW DAYS LATER, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND SHE SMELLED A STRANGE ODOR. THE FUEL GAUGE WENT FROM THREE QUARTERS OF A TANK TO A FULL TANK. THE SPEEDOMETER BEGAN TO DISPLAY INACCURATE READINGS AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO LOSE POWER.
