WHILE DRIVING THE INSTRUMENT PANEL GOES IN AND OUT MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE SPEED, FUEL LEVEL, TEMP, TURNING SIGNALS, RPMS, AND EVERYTHING ELSE NECESSARY TO DRIVE SAFELY. SOMETIMES WHILE THE PANEL COMES BACK TO WORKING PROPERLY IT ENABLES THE OVERDRIVE CAUSING THE ENGINE TO JOLT WHILE DRIVING. DURING RESEARCH I FOUND THERE ARE TOO MANY COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER PEOPLE THAT ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE AND DEALERS QUOTING THEM IN THE 700- THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO FIX, THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL AND A FREE REPAIR AS THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND IT'S AFFECTING TOO MANY VEHICLES.

THE ODOMETER JUST STOP DISPLAYING THE MILEAGE, TEMP AND FUEL. AFTER ABOUT 10 MONTHS THE STEREO STOP WORKING, WHEN I LOOKED AROUND IN THE INTERNET I NOTICED THAT MANY OWNERS OF THE QUEST WERE HAVING THAT PROBLEM , THE CONSOLE HAS THE RADIO AND ODOMETER INTEGRATED. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN QUEST. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EQUIPPED WITH A DIGITAL FUEL LEVEL GAUGE, MILEAGE METER AND TEMPERATURE METER ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE NUMBERS ON THE DIFFERENT METERS WERE ERASED AND WERE NO LONGER VISIBLE. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO TELL THE VEHICLE'S TEMPERATURE OR HOW MUCH FUEL WAS IN THE VEHICLE, AS WELL AS BEING UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CURRENT MILEAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND A CLAIM WAS FILED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,800.

VEHICLE LOST POWER ON HIGHWAY IN RAINSTORM. WERE ABLE TO STEER TO SIDE OF ROAD. UPON INSPECTION BY A MECHANIC, WE DISCOVERED THE ECM (COMPUTER) TO BE EXTREMELY CORRODED. WE HAD IT REPLACED FOR $1100.00. THERE WAS NO NEARBY NISSAN DEALER, BUT THE MASTER MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE PART DID ORDER IT FROM NISSAN. THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY, AS THE PART WAS NOT INSTALLED BY THE DEALER. I VISITED A SITE, QUESTDRIVER.COM WHERE I FOUND SEVERAL SIMILAR COMPLAINTS REGARDING 2004-2006 NISSAN QUESTS. NEVER WAS THE WARRANTY HONORED BECAUSE NISSAN SAID THEY WOULD NOT COVER FAULTY PARTS CORRODED OR RUSTY. MANY DRIVERS CARS STALLED IN COMPROMISING SITUATIONS, AS WE DID. THERE WAS THREAT OF A CLASS ACTION SUIT, THOUGH I DON'T KNOW THE OUTCOME. THE ECM I PURCHASED JUST FAILED AGAIN YESTERDAY. I WAS APPROACHING A BUSY INTERSECTION, BUT WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER ONTO A SIDE ROAD. HAD I PULLED OUT INTO THE INTERSECTION AND STALLED, I SHUDDER TO THINK WHERE COULD HAVE HAPPENED. THE SAME PART IS CORRODED AGAIN. IT IS A DESIGN FLAW IN THE PLACEMENT OF THE PART, JUST UNDER THE WINDSHIELD, WHERE IT IS EXPOSED TO RAIN. NISSAN SHOULD FIND A WAY TO SHIELD THIS PART FROM THE ELEMENTS AND HONOR THE WARRANTY OR REPLACE THE PART AT NO COST. THANK YOU. *TR

I'VE HAD THIS VEHICLE INTO MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALERS SERVICE CENTER MANY TIMES FOR A LOSS OF POWER. THEY HAD ME REPLACE THE ECU, WHICH HAD TO BE PROGRAMMED, THEN THEY SAID THAT IT WAS THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS. I BOUGHT ALL THREE OF THOSE. AFTER THAT IT NEEDED TO BE PROGRAMMED FOR THE AIR/FUEL RATIO. STILL RAN THE SAME. I BROUGHT IT INTO A DIFFERENT SHOP, THEY SAID IT HAD A BAD THROTTLE. MY BROTHER HAD ONE I HAD PUT IN BUT STILL NO POWER, AND HESITATION AT ACCELERATION AND UP HILLS, AND MISFIRES AND BACKFIRES A LOT. ONE OF THE CODES THEY FOUND FOR ME WAS A TIMING ISSUE. MY BROTHER HAS SAME VAN TOLD ME HE HAD TO REPLACE THE TIMING CHAIN. I'VE HEARD A RATTLING AND WHINING NOISE FROM TIMING AREA, SO I LOOKED INTO THIS FURTHER. BACK IN 2004 NISSAN ISSUED A TSB REGARDING THIS ISSUE TELLING TECHNICIANS TO MAKE A "GOODWILL ADJUSTMENT" TO PUSH BACK REPAIRS OF THIS ISSUE UNTIL THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS PROBLEM WITH MY VEHICLE SINCE LEARNING ABOUT WHAT COULD HAPPEN SHOULD IT FAIL. I DRIVE MY CHILDREN IN THAT VAN AND BOUGHT IT BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A SAFE AND COMFORTABLE VEHICLE TO DRIVE. APPARENTLY NOT. NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS EVEN TOLD ME THAT THEY WILL NOT COVER THE COST OF REPAIRS. I CURRENTLY AWAIT TO HEAR FROM A SUPERVISOR TO GIVE THEM AN EARFUL AND TO FIND OUT THE REASONS WHY IT WILL NOT BE FIXED. THIS SHOULD BE A SAFETY RECALL. IF CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE DUE TO THIS HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY (WHICH WE TRAVEL ALMOST EVERY DAY), THIS WOULD LEAVE THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY CRIPPLED AND UNABLE TO STEER OUT OF THE WAY OF ANY DANGER. SOONER OR LATER SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE INJURED IF NOT KILLED IN A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT FROM THIS IF NOT ALREADY. IT'S A SHAME NISSAN DOESN'T SEE THE VALUE OF POTENTIALLY SAVING ITS CUSTOMERS LIVES VS. THE COST OF MAKING NECESSARY REPAIRS. IT SHOULD BE A RECALL. I'LL NEVER BUY A NISSAN AGAIN.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN QUEST. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE UNAVAILABLE.

I PURCHASED THIS VAN BRAND NEW AND AFTER A COUPLE YEARS BEGAN TO HEAR A SUBTLE TAPPING NOISE EVERY SO OFTEN COMING FROM THE ENGINE. I WAS TOLD ITS A LIFTER TAPPING AND MAY COME AND GO BUT NOT WORTH REPAIRING BECAUSE IT WILL COST A LOT OF MONEY AND IT REALLY DOESN'T EFFECT PERFORMANCE. AFTER ANOTHER YEAR OR 2 THE NOISE GOT REALLY LOUD AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. AFTER DOING RESEARCH ONLINE I FOUND HUNDREDS/THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME THING. COME TO FIND OUT WE ALL HAD THE SAME ISSUE, THE TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER WAS NOT APPLYING THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF PRESSURE TO THE GUIDE DUE TO A DEFECT IN ENGINE DESIGN THAT CAUSES THE PLASTIC ON THE GUIDE TO BREAK AND SLIP DOWN. THIS CAUSES SLACK IN THE TIMING CHAIN WHICH IN TURN CAUSED THE RAPID TAPPING NOISE AS IT STRUCK THE INSIDE OF THE ENGINE. AT THIS POINT MY ENGINE WILL NOT START DUE TO THE CHAIN JUMPING TEETH AND THE TIMING THROWN OFF. I AM NOW WITHOUT A VEHICLE. I CONTACTED NISSAN AND THEY TOLD ME IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY SO TOO BAD. THIS IS A KNOWN SERIOUS DEFECT WITH THE ENGINE THAT WAS ALSO INSTALLED IN MAXIMA, ALTIMA, AND X-TERRA. THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL BUT MOST LIKELY DEEMED TOO EXPENSIVE TO PERFORM. ALSO THE ISSUE HAPPENS OVER TIME TYPICALLY BETWEEN 70K-120K MILES THEREFORE MOST VEHICLES THAT HAVE THIS PROBLEM WILL BE OUT OF WARRANTY AND THEY WON'T COVER IT. THEY DID REDESIGN THE REPLACEMENT PART GUIDE, WHICH TO ME SHOWS THEY KNEW IT WAS A DESIGN FLAW BUT ITS MINIMUM $2000 TO HAVE REPAIRED. VERY POOR WAY TO DO BUSINESS BUT THEY GOT WHAT THEY WANTED I SUPPOSE. *TR

WHEN THE TRANSMISSION IS IN DRIVE, THERE IS ALMOST NO POWER. I PULLED INTO A CAR DEALERSHIP TO LOOK AT SOME USED CARS. THE VAN'S ENGINE WAS RUNNING AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS IN PARK. WHEN I PUT THE TRANSMISSION BACK IN DRIVE AND PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR, WE MOVED FORWARD VERY SLOWLY. LOW AND OVER DRIVE WERE NO BETTER, BUT REVERSE SEEMED FINE. FORWARD GEARS HAVE VERY LITTLE POWER.

WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CAR STARTED MISSING GEARS AND WAS STALLING. MY WIFE USES THE VAN FOR SCHOOL AND DROP THE BABY TO DAYCARE. TOOK THE CAR TO NISSAN AND THEY SAID IT WAS A MUFFLER, I FIXED THAT AND THE ISSUE WAS STILL THERE. THEY THEN TOLD ME IT NEED A TUNE UP COSTING $650. DIDN'T DO IT BECAUSE IT WAS TOO EXPENSIVE. AND UNNECESSARY SINCE I ALWAYS DO OIL CHANGES. HAD A TRANSMISSION SHOP LOOK AT IT AND TOLD ME THE TRANSMISSION WAS NEUTRALIZING. CAR WOULD NOT CHANGE GEARS. NISSAN HAD 2 LAW SUITS AGAINST THEM FOR PREMATURE MALFUNCTION TO THEIR TRANSMISSION AND THEY REFUSE TO FIX THE ISSUE. I SPENT $3000.00 TO GET MY TRANSMISSION REBUILT AND THE ISSUE IS STILL HERE. DT: CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN QUEST. THE ANGLE OF THE WINDSHIELD AND THE COLOR OF THE DASHBOARD REFLECT OFF THE DASHBOARD, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE CONSUMER TO SEE OUT OF THE WINDSHIELD. The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Quest. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact drove over a pothole and the air bags were inadvertently deployed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was not available.

AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT CAME ON FOR A FEW WEEKS AND THEN WENT OFF, THEN ON AGAIN. THE CODE READ THAT THE AIR BAGS WAS NOT FUNCTIONING AND THE PASSENGER FRONT AIR BAG WAS SHORTED OUT.

2004 NISSAN QUEST MINIVAN HAD ALL SIDE AIRBAGS DELPOY WHILE TRAVELING 65 MPH WITH NO ACCIDENT TO CAUSE THE DEPLOYMENT. NISSAN HAS BEEN UBABLE TO EXPLAIN THE REASON FOR DEPLOYMENT AND HAS AGREED TO FIX THE VAN BUT PROVIDES NO ASSURANCE THAT THE VEHICLE IS SAFE. I HAVE REPEATLY ASKED FOR THE CAUSE OF THE ERRANT AND UNSAFE DEPLOYMENT OF ALL OF THE SIDE AIR BAGS AND EXPRESSED MY CONCERNS ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE. NISSAN IS UNRESPONSIVE TO MY SAFETY CONCERNS.

NOISE, VIBRATION AND SOUNDS INDICATING IMMINENT FAILURE OF ONE OR MORE VALVETRAIN COMPONENTS IN THE VEHICLE'S 3.5L V6 ENGINE. PROBLEM IS KNOWN TO NISSAN; ADDRESSED IN A SERVICE BULLETIN IN 2004. COMPANY FAILED TO REMEDY THE DEFECT, WHICH CONSISTS OF PREMATURE FAILURE OF TIMING CHAIN AND/OR VALVETRAIN COMPONENTS, INCLUDING VARIABLE VALVE TIMING MODULE AND PARTS. THE PROBLEM IS CURRENTLY THE SUBJECT OF CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.

DT: THE CONTACT STATES THAT THE 2005 NISSAN QUEST HAS TIRES THAT FEATHERED ON THE INSIDE EDGE OF ALL FOUR TIRES. THE TIRES HAVE BEEN BALANCED AND ROTATED EVERY 5,000 MILES. THE TIRES STAYED AT THE RIGHT PRESSURE, WHICH WAS 35 POUNDS. THE TIRES STARTED SHOWING SIGNS OF FEATHERING AROUND 10,000 MILES. THE TIRES WERE THE ORIGINAL ONES THAT CAME ON THE VAN. THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT 16,000 MILES. THE CONTACT HAS BEEN IN CONTACT WITH GOODYEAR AND NISSAN. THE VAN HAS BEEN IN ALIGNMENT THE WHOLE TIME THAT THE CONTACT OWNED THE VAN. SHE STATED THAT GOODYEAR SAID THAT ONE OF THE TIRES WAS OUT OF ALIGNMENT BY .011. GOODYEAR WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO FOUND ANY PROBLEM WITH THE ALIGNMENT. AT THIS POINT, GOODYEAR HAS SAID THAT THEY WOULD PAY FOR 50% OF THE COST ON ANOTHER SET OF EAGLE LS TIRES. THE CONTACT WAS LOOKING FOR AN ALTERNATIVE BRAND OF TIRES. THERE WAS ALREADY A RECALL FOR A NUMBER OF NISSAN VEHICLES FOR GAS GAUGE ISSUES. CLEARLY A NISSAN ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AND FIXED ACROSS THE BOARD. HAVING TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY TO GET THE FUEL GAUGE TO READ IS NOT A GOOD LONG TERM SOLUTION. ALSO THIS VAN GOES THROUGH BRAKES AT AN ASTOUNDING RATE. WE HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE BRAKE PADS FRONT AND BACK 4 TIMES IN THE LAST 30,000 MI AND NOW NEED NEW ROTORS. ALSO HAVE REPLACED TIRES 3 TIMES. THE ALIGNMENT ADJUSTMENT BOLT, THE BOLT THAT GOES THROUGH THE UNIBODY, BROKE AND DROPPED THE A-ARM SECTION THAT HOLDS THE BACK PASSENGER TIRE, ONTO THE HIGHWAY. I HAD THREE TIRES GOING STRAIGHT AND THE BACK PASSENGER TIRE TURNED IN AT 65 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY WITH SPARKS AND SWERVING INTO THE ONCOMING LANE. WE WERE ABLE TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE VAN AND GET IT TO THE SHOULDER. FOR A MOMENT WE THOUGHT THE VAN MIGHT ROLL. OUR MECHANIC STATED HE HAS NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE. ON FEBRUARY 3, 2008 AFTER RETURNING HOME FROM A TRIP TO THE GROCERY STORE, I PARKED MY CAR AS I NORMALLY WOULD AND ENGAGED THE EMERGENCY PARKING BRAKE. AFTER GOING IN THE HOUSE, I NOTICED THE SMELL OF SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER MY CARPORT. WHEN OPENING THE DOOR, I FOUND MY CAR ENGULFED IN WHITE SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD, THE VEHICLE AND SMOKE HAD COMPLETELY FILLED THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE. I IMMEDIATELY GOT MY CHILDREN OUT OF THE HOUSE AND CALLED 911; THE FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME AND TRIED TO INVESTIGATE WHAT WAS THE CAUSE OF THE SMOKE TO NO AVAIL. IN TRYING TO PREVENT THE CAR FROM POSSIBLY SPARKING THE HOUSE ' IT TOOK FOUR FIREMAN TO PUSH MY CAR IN NEUTRAL TO THE OUTSIDE OF MY CARPORT. MY INTERIOR WAS SMOKED AND MY CARPET WAS CHARRED UNDER MY SEAT AND UNDER MY CHILDREN'S CAR SEAT ' TURNS OUT MY EMERGENCY BRAKE CABLE MELTED ALONG WITH THE INTERIOR PLASTIC, CREATING A SPARK THAT IGNITED THE CARPET AND MELTED THE PLASTIC MOLDING IN MY CAR. MR. SANDERS STATED THAT THE CAR WAS FIXABLE HOWEVER HE HAD 'NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE' THE FIX HE STATED WAS TO REPLACE THE EMERGENCY PARKING BRAKE CABLE (TWO HOUR FIX) HOWEVER HE COULD NOT TELL US WHY THIS HAPPENED. MR. SANDERS STATED THAT HE WOULD NOT REPLACE THE CARPET NOR GET THE INTERIOR CLEANED THAT I HAD TO DEAL WITH NISSAN CORPORATE. MELISSA IS NOW STATING THAT NISSAN IS WILLING TO FIX THE PARKING BRAKE CABLE, REPLACE THE SCORCHED CARPET, DETAIL THE INTERIOR AND CARPET AND FIX THE HARNESS AND PAY FOR OUR RENTAL CAR. MELISSA COULD NOT EXPLAIN TO MY HUSBAND THE FUNCTION OF THE HARNESS AND HOW IT RELATES TO THE POSSIBLE FIRE, SHE STATED THAT POSSIBLY THE PARKING BRAKE AND HARNESS WERE MISROUTED AND CONNECTED THUS CREATING A SPARK THAT MELTED THE CABLE, MOLDING, AND CARPET. SHE STATED SHE IS NOT SURE AND COULD NOT GO INTO IT TECHNICALLY; SHE ALSO STATED THAT SHE WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE US WITH ANY WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION BECAUSE IT IS A NISSAN INTERNAL DOCUMENT. *TR

THE FIRST FAILURE WAS A COMPLETE LOSS OF ALL ELECTRICAL POWER ON THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING AND IN TRAFFIC. THIS REQUIRED A WALK HOME AND TOW OF THE VEHICLE. IT WOULD START WITH A JUMP BUT THEN SHORTLY AFTER WOULD COMPLETELY DIE. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THIS AS AN ALTERNATOR FAILURE AND REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR. THE SECOND FAILURE IS A PERIODIC SLIPPING OF THE TRANSMISSION OUT OF GEAR. THE FIRST OCCURANCE FELT LIKE SLIPPING IN SNOW THEN GRABBING. WE CALLED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND THEY TOLD US IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION AN ERROR LIGHT WOULD APPEAR ON THE DASH. THE SECOND OCCURANCE 2 WEEKS LATER WAS A COMPLETE LOSS OF ACCELEARATION WHEN PULLING INTO TRAFFIC. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE IT FELT AS IF IT WAS IN NEUTRAL WITH ENGINE REVING BUT NO POWER TO WHEELS. WE VERIFIED THE SHIFT WAS IN D AND THE DASH INDICATOR SAID "D". WE LOOKED FOR ANY TROUBLE LIGHTS ON THE DASH BUT SAW NONE. WE TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF ONCE AND RESTARTED WITH THE SAME RESULTS. WE TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF A SECOND TIME AND RESTARTED. THIS TIME THE TRANSMISSION ENGAGED AND THE VEHICLE DROVE NORMALLY. WE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY TEST DROVE IT AND FOUND NO PROBLEM. THEY ALSO FOUND NO ERROR CODES IN THE COMPUTER. THE DEALER IS NOW WAITING FOR TECHNICAL DIRECITON FROM NISSAN AND I AM WAITING FOR A RETURN CALL FROM A NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS REGIONAL SPECIALIST. *NM

I HAVE HAD THE VAN IN THE SHOP AT LEAST 4 TIMES(~15 DAYS) WITH ONGOING PROBLEMS WHICH INCLUDE: THE WINDOWS FAILING TO ROLL UP WHEN BUTTON IS PUSHED, THE GAS GAUGE FAILING TO REGISTER GAS AFTER FILLING IT UP, THE GAS METER AFTER A HALF A TANK NEVER REGISTERS CORRECTLY (WHEN LIGHT INDICATES NO GAS AND TANK IS FILLED THE VAN WILL ONLY TAKE 16 GALLONS AND OWNERS MANUAL INDICATES A 20 GALLON TANK), THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS, THE SLIDING DOORS SQUEAK AND RATTLE, REAR INTERIOR CLAMPS ON FLOOR OF CAR ARE RUSTING, IDIOT LIGHTS COME ON INTERMITTENTLY, THE GASKETS ON THE DOORS ARE COMING OFF, THE HEATED SEATS HAVEN'T WORKED IN HIGH AND LOW, THE ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM DOESN'T RESPOND TO REAR AV, AND THE AIR CONDITIONER IS NOT COOL ENOUGH AND IT STINKS. THE AUTOMATIC SLIDE DOORS WILL NOT STOP FOR SMALL OBJECTS BUT THIS PRODUCT WAS DESIGNED FOR FAMILIES. THESE DOORS WILL REMOVE A CHILD'S FINGER AND THE SWITCH TO INITIATE THE AUTO SLIDE IS LOW, WHERE ONE CHILD CAN PUSH IT WHILE ANOTHER IS GETTING IN, OR HAS THEIR HAND IN THE WAY AND DIDN'T REALIZE THEIR BROTHER PUSHED THE BUTTON. I DID MY OWN LITTLE RESEARCH TEST, I GOT PENCILS AND EVERYWHERE I PLACED A PENCIL THE DOOR CLOSED WITH THE PENCIL BEING SNAPPED INTO MANY PIECES AND CRUNCHED UP IN THE DOOR. THEN I TRIED THE SAME THING ON MY FRIEND'S HONDA, BUT THE HONDA'S AUTO SLIDE DOORS BOUNCED OFF EVERY TIME. NISSAN ONLY DESIGNED THEIR DOORS TO RESPOND TO LARGE EXTREMITIES. I HAVE AN ATTORNEY AND I AM GOING THROUGH A PROCESS FOR LEMON LAW. I DIDN'T REALIZE THE ISSUES WITH THE VAN IN A FEW DAYS SO I DON'T THINK NISSAN SERVICE WILL RESOLVE ALL THESE ISSUES IN 2 DAYS WITH A SPECIAL NISSAN ENGINEER SENT OUT FROM THE COMPANY AS PART OF MY LEMON LAW PROCESS. AND IN REGARDS TO THE SLIDING DOOR CONCERNS ALL ANYONE WILL SAY IS THAT THE DOORS ARE PERFORMING THE WAY THEY WERE DESIGNED TO.
