The CVT transmission on this vehicle has failed. The vehicle is jerking and and stalls while driving. If I'm at a light stopped and the light changes to go, the vehicle won't move unless I put my foot all the way down on the accelerator then it Jenks and starts to move. I took it to Sheridan Nissan in Delaware, and they told me this has been the issue with the CVT transmission and I need to just get rid of the van. To get a new one put in is over $7000 with just a 12 Mos12,000 miles warranty and they say it may go out again. I was told by another dealership that Nissan new about this problem, but won't fix it. I've noticed that they have replaced CVT transmissions in other Nissan vehicles and other years, but seem to skip the 2012 Nissan Quest. The engine light came on after it started jerking and I had it towed to Nissan and then they told me that the transmission is slipping. They told me I could drive it home, but to "get rid of it because it doesn't have much life left." Please make Nissan recall these transmissions like they did others. If they are all CVT transmissions, why are some being fixed and others being ignored? Please help.

CVT Transmission failed and had to replace with new CVT Transmission while returning from a trip on June 7 2023. It failed in middle of the trip. Aamco Boardman, OH helped replace it with brand new transmission and it cost $7525. Last year also Compressor failed and had to replace it with brand new compressor at the local garage here in Shippensburg. Mileage is only 110000 miles. Very disappointed and dissatisfied with 2012 Nissan Quest.

I was on a busy freeway only 10 miles from my city and my van with no warning started to slow down and I tried pushing gas to make it go faster to the speed limit because there were semi trucks lined behind and beside me and it wouldn’t accelerate at all. It just continued to slow down at a fast rate and I was trying to get to the side of the freeway as fast as possible and the steering wheel got hard to turn to the side. It was a struggle and I had my husband, and all 5 of my daughters with me. We were all scared out of our minds. Vehicles were passing so close to us and so fast. The vehicle came to a complete stop on the side of the freeway and the engine was still running and I tried to push gas but it just revved up and didn’t move at all. My family and I were stranded for hours waiting for help to come. We could have been hit by so many vehicles. I turned off the van and restarted a few minutes later to try to get it to go but it wouldn’t budge. Just made whining sounds.

Daughter's Quest has a bad CVT transmission. Diagnosis made by independent service center. Check engine light came on. Codes P1700, P0746, & P0868. Unsafe to drive - doesn't accelerate, shakes, shutters, etc. Other Nissan Quest/Nissan owners with same issue (Pathfinder, Rogue, Juke, Murano, Versa,Sentra,Altima). Refer to CarComplaints.com. I mailed a letter to Nissan Corp Office in Franklin TN. They offered no assistance. Nissan settled a class action law suit for Sentra, Versa, Altima with same trans problem by agreeing to replace trans and extend warranty from 5yrs/60K miles to 10 yrs/120K miles. Want Nissan to replace bad CVT transmissions and extend warranty on Quest vans and other models with bad CVT transmissions.

I AM HAVING A PROBLEM ON THE CVT TRANSMISSION OF MY 2012 NISSAN QUEST. IT'S BECOMING TOO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE BECAUSE IT'S KEEP ON JERKING WHEN I'M DRIVING IT IN THE STREET THAT IS WAY I DON'T DRIVE IT IN THE FREEWAY BECAUSE IT'S TOO DANGEROUS AND LATELY IT SPEED UP THAT I ALMOST GET AN ACCIDENT. FIRST IT WON'T RUN WHENEVER I STOP AT STOP SIGN AND/OR STOP LIGHT, WHEN I PRESS THE ACCELERATOR IT WON'T RUN LIKE IT NORMALLY DO AND THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN IT WILL SPEED UP THAT I ALMOST GET IN AN ACCIDENT. I WANT THE NISSAN MANUFACTURER TO RECALL MY QUEST AND FIX MY TRANSMISSION.

The dashboard on my 2012 Nissan Quest S is splitting at the edges leaving a gap between 1/16-1/32 wide. The area around the passenger air bag is now outlined and I am concerned it my effect the air bag. This started about a year ago and is getting worse.

My 2012 Nissan Quest has completely rotted out causing the muffler system and the motor mount to move causing significant damage and repair. Over $2,500 just to buy parts and repair all due to excessive rust on the body frame underneath. Its only a 2012 yet it looks as if it is a lot older. While driving the muffler system failed and broke away along with the motor mount which shifted. Cannot be driven any longer.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RAIL UPPER ASSEMBLY FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE HAS DEVELOPED A HESITATION FROM A STOP POSITION. WHEN YOU ARE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND TRY TO ACCELERATE, THE VEHICLE HESITATES. IT DOES NOT DO IT ALL THE TIME BUT IT IS GETTING MORE FREQUENT. I HAD THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP BEFORE THE WARRANTY RAN OUT. THEY SAID NOTHING WRONG. I HAVE ALSO TALKED TO NISSAN CUSTOMER RELATIONS (MARK @ 615-725-7561) AND WAS ASSIGNED A CASE NUMBER (19100795). I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE WHICH SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY NISSAN. I KNOW THERE IS A RECALL ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND HILLS AND LOW GAS. I NEVER LET MY GAS TANK GET BELOW 1/2 TANK AND WHERE I LIVE AND DRIVE THERE ARE NO HILLS. Vehicle lost power multiple times while being driven. The alternator has been replaced three times last being 12/21. Battery has also been replaced. Vehicle has been to 2 mechanics. Potentially thought A/C compressor was causing problem. Replaced by mechanic number 2 May 2022. Vehicle runs until headlights are engaged, a/c or radio etc. Vehicle was driven 10 miles without radio, a/c or lights. Power drained within 2 miles of turning headlights on and cut out in traffic. Sputters and able to pull over without causing accident barely. Left stranded multiple times. Once on a major highway with traffic, stranded on side of road. Spouse rescued while waiting for tow truck. Multiple tows with major motor club. Catalytic Converter light is active and was checked by TJ's in Loganville, GA, it did not need to be replaced at this time. Affordable Auto Services, Mulberry Road Winder GA and B&B Auto Services, Dacula GA (3 alternators and 2 batteries).

I REALIZED THAT I WAS GOING FASTER THAN ALL CARS AROUND ME ON ROAD. UPON CHECKING WITH GPS ON IPHONE AND TOMTOM GPS DEVICE , THE VEHICLE INDICATED 60MPH ON SPEEDOMETER, BUT BOTH GPS DEVICES INDICATED 70MPH. I WAS PARKED ON A SLOPE, WITH ABOUT 1/8 A TANK OF GAS AND THE VAN WOULD NOT START. I WAS ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE AFTER I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND ROLLED IT TO LEVEL GROUND. I GOOGLED THE PROBLEM AND FOUND OUT THERE WAS A RECALL, WHICH I WAS NEVER INFORMED ABOUT. I TOOK THE VAN INTO THE LOCAL NISSAN SHOP AND THEY PERFORMED THE RECALL FIX. WHEN I ASKED WHY I WASN'T NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL, THEY SAID THAT MY VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED AFTER THE DATES COVERED BY THE RECALL, BUT IT WAS OBVIOUSLY AFFECTED BY THE SAME ISSUE (AND THAT THE DATES IN THE RECALL MUST BE "OFF"). THE RECALL NUMBER IS 12V076000, IT COVERS VEHICLES MANUFACTURED BETWEEN 7/29/2010 AND 2/21/2012. MY VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED ON 2/23/2012, AND HAS THE SAME ISSUE. *TR

CAR WAS PARKED ON A PARKING LOT ON A VERY SLIGHT DECLINE. LOW FUEL INDICATOR JUST CAME ON BUT DISTANCE TO EMPTY INDICATOR STILL SHOWS 50+ MILES. VEHICLE STARTED AT FIRST BUT STARTED TO SHUDDER AND THEN ENGINE DIED. TRIED RESTARTING A FEW TIMES BUT IT WILL JUST SHUT OFF RIGHT AWAY. ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WERE FINE (RADIO, LIGHTS, ETC). HAD TO PUT 2 GALLONS OF GAS TO GET IT TO START AGAIN. DROVE TO THE GAS STATION RIGHT AWAY AND FILLED IT UP WITH ONLY 14.5 GALLONS OF TANK. MANUAL SAYS VEHICLE HAS 20 GALLON FUEL TANK CAPACITY. I WAS AWARE OF THE RECALL (CAMPAIGN: 12V076000) BUT INITIALLY THOUGHT THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED SINCE THE CAMPAIGN WAS BACK IN MARCH 2012 AND I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE IN JULY 2012. WAS LATER CONFIRMED BY NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND DEALER SERVICE ADVISOR THAT MY CAR WAS INDEED NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. MULTIPLE TIMES GOT INTO THE VEHICLE (NO SPECIFIC TIME THIS WOULD OCCUR) AND ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WOULD START AS IT WAS IN THE PARK POSITION. WHEN THE VAN WOULD BE PLACED IN REVERSE IT WOULD ENGAGE AND BACKING UP WOULD OCCUR. ONCE THEN THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED IN DRIVE, THE VEHICLE WOULD THEN SHUTTER AND THEN STALL OUT. THIS DID OCCUR TWICE WHILE DRIVER WAS PULLING OUT, AND THE VEHICLE STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS THE VEHICLE WOULD FINALLY START. AFTER THE FIRST TWO TIMES THIS OCCURRED, WE STARTED DOCUMENTING THE AMOUNT OF FUEL IN THE VEHICLE AND EACH TIME THIS OCCURRED IT WAS ON OR BELOW A QUARTER OF A TANK OF GAS. SINCE KEEPING AT LEAST A 1/2 TANK OF FUEL, THE VEHICLE HAS NOT EXHIBITED THIS BEHAVIOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LOCAL MECHANIC TO BE LOOKED AT. AFTER ASSESSING THE VEHICLE BASED ON OUR DESCRIPTION, THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE TAKEN TO A NISSAN DEALER DUE TO BEING A TSB OUT ON THIS YEAR AND MODEL OF VEHICLE. PRIOR TO THIS ISSUE, THE VEHICLE WOULD SHUTTER AFTER BEING STOPPED IN DRIVE (STOP SIGN, PULLING OUT MOVING FORWARD, OR ACCELERATING UP A HILL). TESTING WAS DONE, AND CODE P0500 WAS LISTED. WE HAD THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR CHANGED, NEW BATTERY, AND UP /LOWER MANIFOLD GASKETS CHANGED, IN ATTEMPT TO FIX THIS ISSUE. AFTER EACH OF THESE SERVICES WERE DONE, THE VEHICLE DID RUN SOMEWHAT BETTER, BUT STILL OCCURS OFF AND ON.

THERE IS A FUEL SYSTEM GLITCH IN THE SOFTWARE. THE CAR STALLS WHEN IDLING OR TRAVELING AT SPEEDS LOWER THAN 40 MPH. IT ALMOST ALWAYS HAPPENS AT STOP LIGHTS OR STOP SIGNS AS WELL. SOMETIMES THE CAR WILL NOT EVEN DRIVE BUT IT WILL REVERSE. I AM ABLE TO REVERSE OUT OF A PARKING SPOT BUT AM NOT ABLE TO DRIVE FORWARD. VEHICLE STALLED WHILE TRAVELING UP A 2-3% GRADE. IT APPEARED TO RUN OUT OF FUEL ALTHOUGH THE NAVIGATION DISPLAY INDICATED THERE WERE 21 MILES UNTIL EMPTY. THE FUEL GAUGE ALSO INDICATED FUEL REMAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 45 MPH AND FORTUNATELY IT COASTED TO THE TOP OF THE GRADE. AT THAT POINT, THE ENGINE BEGAN RECEIVING FUEL ONCE AGAIN AND KICKED IN. THIS APPEARS TO BE SIMILAR TO PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED ON THE 2011 MODEL YEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING ON A TWO LANE NARROW ROAD AROUND A BLIND CURVE WITH NO PLACE TO PULL OFF. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION HAD THE VEHICLE'S MOMENTUM NOT CARRIED IT TO THE TOP OF THE GRADE. I purchased the van and noticed that at times it would suddenly de-accelerate and drop from whatever speed im doing and refuse to speed up even if I press the gas peddle to the floor. Id come up to a stop sign and stop, then at times it wouldnt accelerate, even with the peddle to the floor, it would barely move forward. I brought it back to the person I purchased it from tried to describe what happened, they had someone check the transmission and said it was fine. Its continued to do this, and has almost caused crashes because it does it periodically and without warning on inclines, at red lights, if I driven a long distance (i.e. 1hr or so) etc, and when stopped. Its done this especially when it comes to hills, its terrifying but I have no other vehicles and now only drive it locally, avoid hills, and only if I absolutely have to. This is my first Nissan and wasn't aware of issues like this as I typically buy Buick's, so I researched Nissan issues and recalls and recently saw a recall from October 2025 related to the fuel pump injector system reset that describes what ive experienced exactly, but when I took it to the Nissan dealership in Saratoga NY, they said its not a recall, just a warning for my model and year, and they would need to charge me to inspect it, and didnt advise if it was repairable. Anyone else who has this model Nissan I would want warned immediately, and I mean immediately. Its scary seeing other vehicles coming up behind me and I dont know if my van will accelerate or not, I took out a loan to buy this vehicle and am still paying it off. I cant buy another right now. The actual recall for what appears to be the same issue came out for 2013 and newer Nissans but again, should include this model for year 2012. Those of us with this vehicle should be included in the recall so we can drive safely as well. Please make this update to the recall asap. Thank you for your time and consideration to review this

Have fixed myself Ac compressor kit about 97,051miles on [XXX], maf sensor, two vvt solenoids having driven it 20,000 miles in five years trying to rid light. Nov 2019 purchased at 94,719 miles. Roberts nissan of manchester, tn checked and serviced on [XXX] at 95,186 milles in excellent condition. Light will not stay off for power train system, cam timing bank, timing chains, vct camshaft timing vct, power supply circuit. Nissan did replace recall ABS actuator. Had checked Cookeville Nissan [XXX] light on and they turned off saying it checked ok after a cold start for $230. It is loud now at 114,998 miles! This auto must have defective parts since Gateway has serviced it regularly. I am concerned about driving. Talked to consumer affairs of Nissan and was told it was over 65,000 miles and not valid. The contact owed a 2012 Nissan Quest. The contact stated while shifting the vehicle into reverse, the vehicle launched forward at high speed without any warning. The contact pressed on the brake pedal, but it failed to stop the vehicle, causing the contact to loss control and drive into a ditch and crashing a tree causing the vehicle came to a complete stop. The air bags did not deploy. The contact suffered injuries to the left leg and foot and head and seek medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was deemed totally loss from the insurance company. The manufacturer was contact and stated that there was no recall for the failure and did not provide any assistance. The failure mileage was 50,000.

HELLO, MY NAME IS [XXX] . I BOUGHT A NISSAN QUEST 2012, AND I'VE HAD IT FOR ABOUT 2 OR 3 YEARS. WHEN I BOUGHT IT, THE SEATS WERE GOOD. OVERTIME, THE SEATS HAVE BECOME WORN OUT. THE HANDLE TO REST YOUR HAND HAS A RIP IN HALF. THE SEAT (DRIVER'S) IS ALSO BEING WORN. I'M NOT SURE IF THE LEATHER IS BAD QUALITY BECAUSE IT'S ONLY BEEN ABOUT 7 YEARS OF USE AND THE LEATHER IS BEING WORN OUT. ADDITIONALLY, THE BACK SEATS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION UNLIKE THE PASSENGER SEAT, WHICH IS BEGINNING TO MIRROR WHAT THE DRIVER'S LOOKS LIKE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN QUEST. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE FUEL TANK GAUGE INDICATED THAT THE TANK WAS EMPTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT TWO HOURS AFTER FILLING UP THE FUEL TANK, THE TANK WOULD BE EMPTY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO BROWN'S FAIRFAX NISSAN (11010 FAIRFAX BLVD, FAIRFAX, VA 22030, (703)-591-8009) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS OR WARRANTIES PER THE VIN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 161,000.

THE VAN BEGAN TO SPUTTER AND SEEMINGLY MISFIRE ONCE SHIFTED INTO GEAR. I SUSPECTED A CASE OF CLOGGED FUEL INJECTORS AND PRESSED FIRMLY WITH THE THROTTLE TO CLEAR THE LINE OF DEBRIS. THE VAN THEN STALLED IN THE INTERSECTION AS I WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE TRANSMISSION DISENGAGED ITSELF AND PROVIDED NO GEAR RESISTANCE. FORTUNATELY THE TIMING OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC ALLOWED ME TO COAST OUT OF THE INTERSECTION, USING THE DOWNWARD GRADE OF A NEARBY ALLEY IN ORDER TO EXIT THE STREET. INSPECTION OF THE VAN REVEALED OBD II CODES: P0500 AND P0720. FURTHER INVESTIGATION REVEALED AN EXISTING RECALL FOR AUTOMOBILES OF THIS MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR, THAT EXHIBIT THE EVENTS I HAVE ENCOUNTERED. I BELIEVE THAT RECALL:12V076000 RECALL DATE 02/29/2012 SHOULD BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE MY VIN DUE TO THE SIMILARITY OF EVENTS ENCOUNTERED AS WELL AS THE HAZARD THEREBY CREATED. I AM FORTUNATE TO HAVE MADE IT THROUGH THE INTERSECTION WITHOUT GETTING T-BONED. THOUGH MY VEHICLE WAS NOT SUBJECT TO A RECALL I HAD THE SAME ISSUE AS THE OTHER VEHICLES THAT HAD BEEN RECALLED. WITH 40 MILES LEFT TO GO, ACCORDING TO MY GAUGE, MY VEHICLE STALLED IN TRAFFIC, ON TWO DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, WHILE TURNING LEFT INTO GAS STATIONS. WHEN I PRESENTED THIS ISSUE TO A DEALER AND TO NISSAN AMERICA I WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE WAS NOT SUBJECT TO A RECALL, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND REQUIRED THE SAME REPAIR AS THE RECALLED VEHICLES. I WAS CHARGED OVER $300 FOR REPROGRAMMING MY COMPUTER.

MAY 2014, I HAD A WET DRIVER SIDE A PILLAR THAT WAS LEAKING. NISSAN ATTRIBUTED IT TO A DEFECTIVE SUNROOF WITH A CRACK. THE HEADLINER, SUBWOOFER AND AMPLIFIER WERE REPLACED. ON JULY 10, 2015, I TOOK MY CAR TO A FLAGSHIP CARWASH. AFTER MY CAR WAS WASHED I NOTICED WATER ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE REAR SUNROOF AND ON THE HEADLINER IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE ON BOTH THE RIGHT AND LEFT SIDES OF THE CAR WAS WET IN ALL THE ABOVE NOTED LOCATIONS. MY RADIO ALSO STOPPED WORKING. NISSAN HAD MY CAR FOR FIVE DAYS AND SAID THEY COULD NOT RECREATE THE LEAK OR DETERMINE WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE RADIO. THEY WOULD NOT LOOK AT THE RADIO AS IT WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. I TOOK MY CAR TO A LOCAL RADIO REPAIR SHOP AND THEY DISCOVERED RUST BEHIND THE PANELS IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE, IN THE CARGO AREA AND 2 INCHES OF WATER UNDER MY CARGO AREA. THIS IS A FORMAL COMPLAINT TO THE TIRES/WHEELS THAT NISSAN HAS SELECTED FOR PLACEMENT ON THE 2012 NISSAN QUEST.THE TOYO A22 235/55/18 TIRES ARE COMPLETELY WORN AT 26,000 MILES.WE DID NOT DISCOVER THE ISSUE WITH THE TIRES UNTIL A THIRD PARTY INSPECTED THE VEHICLE.THE VEHICLE WILL NOT PASS INSPECTION.ALL SERVICE HAS OCCURRED AT A NISSAN AUTHORIZED DEALER AT THE RECOMMENDED INTERVALS.THE SERVICE GROUPS AT SHEEHY NISSAN AND GRAPEVINE NISSAN DID NOT ALERT US TO THE DANGERS.I HAVE SPOKEN WITH NISSAN REGIONAL CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND ALERTED THEM TO THE CONCERN AND ISSUES SURROUNDING THE RAPID WEAR.IT IS OUR BELIEF THAT THE NISSAN QUEST IS TO HEAVY FOR THE TIRES THAT WERE SELECTED ON THE VEHICLE, AND/OR THE TIRE IS DEFECTIVE. ACCORDING TO TOYO THE A22 235/55/18 TIRE IS A CUSTOM PART MANUFACTURED TO NISSAN SPECS.AFTER CONDUCTING AN INTERNET SEARCH THERE ARE MANY MENTIONS OF NISSAN QUEST TIRES WEARING EARLY.MY BELIEF IS THAT THE TOYO TIRE DOES NOT MATCH THE VEHICLE WEIGHT, OR THE TIRE IS DEFECTIVE. THE RAPID WEAR EXPERIENCED WITH THESE TIRES TIRES CAN JEOPARDIZE THE SAFETY OF THE PASSENGERS&MOTORISTS. AN ADDITIONAL COMPLAINT TO NISSAN IS BEING FILED STATING THAT THE TIRE IS NOT ROBUST ENOUGH FOR THE VEHICLE WEIGHT IT IS HANDLING. MY WIFE HAS EXPERIENCED DIFFICULTY IN WET CONDITIONS WHEN HANDLING THE VEHICLE, I BELIEVE THIS IS DUE TO THE ABNORMAL TREAD WEAR. TOYO HAS OFFERED A 35% WEAR WARRANTY ON THE TIRES. NISSAN HAS DENIED ANY WARRANTY CLAIM OR ASSISTANCE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE TIRES. THIS SITUATION REMINDS BE OF THE TIRE RECALLS SURROUNDING THE FORD EXPLORER IN 2000. 3 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING A BRAND NEW 2012 NISSAN QUEST (PURCHASED VEHICLE ON 04/15/2012), I WAS DRIVING DOWN A HILL AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED WHEN THE ENGINE SHUT OFF AND THE CAR STATED THERE WAS NO MORE GAS, EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A QUARTER TANK. CARS BEHIND ME SLAMMED ON THEIR BRAKES AND LUCKILY WE WERE NOT HIT. I PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND AFTER COASTING DOWN THE HILL AND REACHING A LEVEL PART OF THE ROAD, MY CAR STARTED AGAIN AND TOLD ME THAT I HAD A QUARTER TANK. AFTER TAKING THE CAR TO THE DEALER, I LEARNED THERE WAS AN OPEN RECALL CAMPAIGN (NHTSA RECALL 12V076) ON THE 2012 QUEST AND THE REMEDY WAS NOT PERFORMED PRIOR TO ME PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, WHICH IS AGAINST REGULATIONS AS THE RECALL CAMPAIGN WAS STARTED BY NISSAN BEFORE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. ON 06/20/2012 (1 DAY AFTER THE INCIDENT) I TOOK THE CAR TO A NISSAN DEALER TO BE REPAIRED AND THE PROBLEM WAS SUPPOSEDLY FIXED AT TOWN CENTER NISSAN UNDER R/O NUMBER 6012078/1. ON SEPTEMBER 26TH I STARTED TO TURN INTO AN INTERSECTION ON A GREEN ARROW WHEN MY CAR SHUT OFF AND SAID I WAS OUT OF GAS, (A MINUTE PRIOR TO THAT THE CAR SAID I HAD 37 MILES AND A QUARTER TANK LEFT). I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED (THE CAR HAD TO SWERVE INTO ANOTHER LANE) AND GOOD SAMARITANS PUSHED ME INTO A PARKING LOT CLOSE BY. I REALIZE THAT NHTSA HAS ALREADY ACTED ON THE PROBLEM MY CAR EXPERIENCED, BUT I FEEL SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE WITH REGARDS TO THE DEALER "GWINNETT PLACE NISSAN" WHO SOLD ME THE CAR WITHOUT FIRST FIXING THE PROBLEM (SINCE IT WAS A BRAND NEW CAR).
