The vehicle was then taken to a transmission specialist, where an estimated fee for the repair was provided, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The CVT malfunctions after about an hour of driving. There is a failure of power transfer to the drive wheels. The engine rpms increase but there is no forward motion resulting in the vehicle being stranded in traffic. I spoke to the nearest Nissan dealer which is one hour from my home in Mountain Home, AR and was told that this is a known problem and is an indication of imminent CVT failure.

It has been going on for years, when I am outside the car - the open drivers side door closes by itself and locks by itself. It does t matter where I am parked. Even on level surfaces the door does this. This can be problematic if the driver is locked out as a result of this. Hot weather is here We don’t want someone locked out or a child locked in. As I say, this has been going on for years. The latest incident was last night. I have formed the habit of holding my key ring in my hand when I exit my car. Again, this habit saved me last night.

I’ve taken my car for inspection and was told to NOT drive my car. The “trailing/trilling Arms” have failed and my rear end is about to fall off. I just replaced the transmission last year and this. I’m [XXX] and can not afford these charges ($1300)for a 10 year old car, that’s garage kept. What is going on with this year/model? I will never trust a Nissan again. Power shifter locks in park when trying to change it to drive or reverse . I found a recall campaign bulletin for shift selector knob for January 2, 2016 . I took my vehicle to a Nissan dealer and I was told they could not honor it . I would have to pay . Reference for recall is NTB16-004 .

My Car's Driver side air bag sign is on and took it to the Nissan dealer for diagnostic and was told the car seatback needs to be replaced as the airbag is not working. the technician was surprised that this part of the car needed replacement. this car has clean title no accidents and one owner. contacted nissan consumer affairs but they would not help in this issue. the component was never inspected just a diagnostic was done.

Airbag warning lights consistently flashing on and off. I was told it was a seat belt sensor or issue. Safety related. I know you have other rogues are on the recall list fir this same year however mine does not come up. This us so frustrating as to the rates your dealerships charge. Please advise on the highly safety issue. I want to feel safe in my suv again

The dealer sold me a car with tampered mileage (106056 miles). When I found out, he took away the title document and refused to return the money. He implied me to sign the sales slip or I would lose both the money and the car. After I signed, he was worried that I would report him, so he took away the REG262 document with his signature and false mileage. He also took advantage of the opportunity that I left the car in his shop to change the tampered mileage back to the original real 225438 miles.and On October 23,2024, I asked him to refund me, he replied "Hey asshole no one can play with odometer " On November 20,2024, when he got the summons,he replied "Thats not true You try to change the mileage I will sue you " But in the court, he said the mileage 106056 was taken on 10/19/2024 of the dashboard is trip mileage. So I can't register it and can't use the vehicle at all

Our car has experienced multiple incidents of the interior becoming drenched with water. From thew sunroof, the sides of the vehicle, the floorboards, back AND front. We bring it in to be repaired but then another leak occurs. I am worried about water coming into contact with the many electrical parts of the car that help it operate especially since so much wetness occurs near the front half of the vehicle, near the controls. This last incident, we reached out to Nissan's corporate office and they would not cover the cost of repairs. We are nervous about what might happen and ethically don't feel we can sell the car in this condition.

The Electronic A/C system for no reason will when I have the blower selected to defrost or head and feet it changes the blower things that control air flow to someplace in between. Nothing blows out if vents but fan is running. Kind of dangerous when you can’t defrost windows. I brought it yo dealer twice and of course it decided to start working again. I noticed that when it does that if i shut car off completely and wait a minute or so it works properly again. It has done this about a dozen times. Its like the airflow for blower heat/defrost goes into a halfway position and then i don’t get any airflow. This first happened in 2015 and is intermittent.

My key fob barely works,the red key indicator comes on every few streets. I went for oil change & tune up,they informed me back brake light,passenger side didn't work. Got recall inspection/ repair & wasn't informed of anything wrong. Not to mention I've topped of ac charge twice in one month. There's clearly an issue of fire hazard with the Rogues.I make too many on time payments to be played for an idiot. Also,I shouldn't have to pay a new car price for repairs.

There is water leak on Driver side floor and is covered under Nissan Service Bulletin NTB14-105a. The carpet is wet on the driver and/or front passenger floor and the source of the wetness is not caused by the air conditioning system.

Additionally, the liftgate failed to remain opened while in use, and would forcefully close independently when unattended. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer where she was informed that there were no recalls on her vehicle. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure, and the contact was given a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

My vehicle has a sun/moon roof. There are 2 drains that go down the side. The problem is there is a white piece of plastic that has plastic in the center at the bottom of the drain. If this gets clogged it causes the moon roof to leak water all over the interior. When this happened to me I was driving water and fell into my face and eyes. This was very unsafe. To fix the issue I used pliers to remove the inner plastic from the white plastic at the bottom of the drain. This should be recalled because there is no benefit to this center plastic. After water leaves the drain it goes out a 3 inch by 3 inch hole cut into the metal, then falls to the ground. There is no benefit restricting water out these drains. This will cause the sunroof to clog over and over again. This white piece of plastic should be replaced with a part that has no restrictions. This is poor design on Nissan's part. A clogged sun roof can cause water to fall into the drivers face, and it could ruin the interior.

The transmission gave out while in the middle of driving on I-4. The safety of the driver and everyone in the highway was put at risk since the car stopped running out of nowhere in a high traffic area. The vehicle has been inspected by a mechanic. A warning symbol popped up as soon as it happened. It says chassis control system error.

I own a 2015 Nissan Rogue Select S. I purchased the vehicle with 35,000 miles on it in 2016, a year and 1 month after it was first manufactured. From the day I drove it off the lot, I noticed an issue, where if my car was in gear, and stopped in traffic or at a light, with the A/C running, the RPMs would drop significantly and cause a judder, then the RPMs would return. After a few months of this, I took it back to the dealership I purchased the vehicle from, and was advised that they could not replicate what I was talking about and there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. It's been 7 years since then. While stopped at a light at the bottom of an offramp after driving down the freeway, with my 2 VERY young children in their car seats, vehicle failed to accelerate with the equivalent pressure placed on the accelerator. This caused the vehicle to "roll" through the intersection and having the green light change while I was still halfway through the intersection. When the oncoming traffic got their green a few were not paying close attention and I was nearly t-boned. This happened twice in the span of maybe a month and a half. No indication of failure. No lights on the dashboard, indicating an issue. Took it to a different Nissan dealership and had a diagnostic run, was advised it needs a new transmission and the code that came up was P1740. Vehicle has less than 81,000 miles on it. Unfortunately, per Nissan Consumer Affairs, my vehicle is "out of warranty" even with the extension that was just granted in June of 2022, my vehicles extended warranty under the class action was extended to Jan of 2022, but I was never made aware of the class action, nor given the opportunity to opt out of said action. Vehicle is still not repaired. Myself and kids are safe, but they both have a bit of PTSD from both incidents occurring. I'm lucky I can even get them to voluntarily get back into a car. let alone my car. I wish I never purchased it. It could have killed us more than once.

OUR 2015 NISSAN ROGUE HAD TO HAVE AN INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY BASICALLY THE TOP OF THE ENGINE DUE TO THE INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY IS MADE OF PLASTIC!!! WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD PUT PLASTIC PARTS ON THE TOP OF AN ENGINE??? ALSO, THE BLIND SPOT DETECTION CAMERA WHICH IS PLACED IN THE FRONT OF THE CAR BY THE NISSAN SYMBOL WHERE IT CAN BE HIT BY A ROCK OR A BUG AS I WAS TOLD. WHY WOULD THIS CAMERA NOT BE PROTECTED FROM THIS BEING DAMAGED SO EASILY. THE INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY COST $1,071.48 TO REPAIR. IT WAS GOING TO COST $1,200.00 TO REPAIR THE BLIND SPOT DETECTION CAMERA. WE KNEW THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE ENGINE DUE TO THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I HAVE INVOICES TO SHOW THE COST OF THE REPLACEMENT OF THE INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY. WE DID NOT ELECT TO HAVE THE BLIND SPOT DETECTION CAMERA FIXED SINCE IT IS IN A NON-PROTECTED AREA.

When the contact accelerated the vehicle would not accelerate and suddenly the vehicle accelerated at high speed. The contact desperately pressed on the brake pedal, but the vehicle would not stop, causing the contact to strike a crane that was in front, causing front damage to the vehicle but no damage to the crane. No one was injured. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was contacted, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was unknown.

My wife told me her brake pedal is going to the floor. I test drove it and sure enough brakes go soft and spongy sometimes you can pump the pedal and they will work for a little while. Car has 53883 miles on it and is available for inspection. Will contact dealer in a few days see what they say. No warning lights on. Having worked on cars my whole life makes me think master cylinder is failing but with all the electronic controls don't know. Now parked in garage afraid to drive it.

On September 18, 2022 our front passenger seatbelt stopped working. Nothing happened to cause it to break, but it locked up and is unable to be used. The earliest I could get an appointment to have it looked at was September 28, 2022. I brought it in that day and was told that the part was being ordered and would arrive within 2-3 days. A week later, after still not hearing from Nissan, I called and was told that the part had been shipped but that there was no delivery information. Another week went by and this time when I called I was told the part was on backorder. I've spoken with Nissan's Consumer Affairs and was told that this would be escalated but it still hasn't been fixed. A broken seatbelt puts anyone in that seat at risk.

The passenger front seatbelt is locked and cannot be used. Was working fine day before then went to use it and it was locked. My mechanic checked it out and stated that I needed a new retractor. I think this should be covered by the Nissan manufacuture, as it is a safety issue. My car is seven years old and only has 54,000 miles. I have had two other new cars, which both have lasted me for 16 years each and I have never had any problems with the seats belts at all. I would appreciate your assistance to have them repair this issue ASAP., as it is a safety issure that should not have occured. Thank you Toni Smiles

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A CRASH AND THE ENTIRE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WAS DAMAGED. THE CONTACT WAS INJURED AND WAS RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL FOR MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME AND THEN TOWED BILLY NAVARRE NISSAN (1700 SIEBARTH DR, LAKE CHARLES, LA 70615, (337) 439-9955) WHERE IT WAS REPAIRED THREE MONTHS LATER. SINCE THE CRASH, THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN BACK TO THE DEALER AT LEAST TEN TIMES. THE TCM IN THE ENGINE, AN ETRC SENSOR IN THE ENGINE, THE BELT PULLEY, THE TRANSMISSION, THE BODY CONTROL MODULE, AND THE TPMF WERE REPLACED. ALL OF THE FAILURES ORIGINATED FROM THE ENGINE. THE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED AND RECALIBRATED, THERE WAS A LOOSE PIN IN THE POWER RELAY BOX, AND TWO SENSORS HAD TO BE CHANGED, INCLUDING THE 02 SENSOR. IN ADDITION, THE GEARS DID NOT SHIFT FLUIDLY AND THE TRANSBODY SENSOR NEEDED TO BE CHANGED. THE MOST RECENT FAILURE WAS THE VEHICLE SPUTTERING AND THE TRANSMISSION STRAINING TO CHANGE GEARS. BY THE TIME THE CONTACT PULLED INTO HER NEIGHBORHOOD, THE VEHICLE HAD NO ACCELERATION AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PLANNED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN DRIVING CONDITION SINCE THE CRASH. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000.

The heat in my 2015 Nissan Rogue stopped working last winter. This prevented me from being able to defrost the windshield while driving in the middle of winter! The problem is a faulty blend door on the HVAC box. The actuator motor is made of hard plastic, but the blend door is made from soft plastic. This causes the spline in the blend door to strip out and crack and no longer actuate to allow hot air to enter the cabin. I have pictures of the stripped out spline. The problem has not been reproduced by a dealer or independent service center, but my research online has shown that there are many other Nissan rogue owners who have experienced similar issue, at very low mileages. There were no warning lamps or messages of the problem before it began. There was one symptom, the car had problems heating before it stopped operating completely. The soft plastic spline is probably a $5 part, but it is part of the HVAC box, which is a $2700 part (and probably a 10+ hour labor job as the whole dash has to come out.) This is very poor design. I am unsure what they thought would happen when hard plastic is applying torsional force to soft plastic.

As I was driving yesterday (1/12/24) on a busy highway and my sunroof shattered suddenly. It startled me and I had no idea what occurred. I heard a very loud pop and what sounded like rocks hitting my vehicle. I inspected my car and couldn’t find the source thinking it may have been a tire etc but no lights came on. Everytime I drove I heard “pebbles” move but could not find the source. This morning I noticed a piece of glass on my windshield which caused me to inspect my vehicle and to my surprise the sunroof had a hole in it! I’ve reported my sunroof leaking since I purchased the truck in 2018. The dealership claimed to fix the sunroof but would not replace it. The leaking stopped for around 2-3 months and began again. I was told this was not covered under warranty and that I’d have to pay out of pocket for it. I did not think this was fair because I purchased the vehicle when the issue was present. I was subsequently never made aware that there were any defects or complaints about sunroof problems or the occurrences of exploding sunroofs in the make and model I have.

Something to do with Heat - the drivers side heat does not work but the passenger does. This affects the defrosting of the windshield - cannot defrost with cold air in the winter. I have found several discussion boards detailing the same issues with cost to fix is over $3K.

After taking my car in for the latest maintenance at the dealership, not even a week later my heater/ac stopped working properly. When the air conditioner is on, it blows out hot air... when the heater is on, it blows out cold air! This is very frustrating and only occurs on the drivers side vents for some reason. The remaining vents blow out the correct temperatures. I took the vehicle to a local shop and paid $100 just to have the car diagnosed and they let me know that the heater core needs to be replaced and that it would cost me about $3,000 to repair. I called the dealership to get a second opinion and was informed it would cost me $175 just to look into the issue! I let them know what the local shop said and was told that this was an unlikely issue (which is not what the majority of the internet is saying). The dealer informed me if this was the case it would be upward of $4,000 to replace and that the labor alone is $1,000! This is a frustrating situation because as the weather gets colder, it gets very difficult to defrost my windshield as the heater does not work as needed. Considering many people have complained about this same issue, Nissan should have recalled this a long time ago.

MY CAR WINDSHIELD NO LONGER DEFROSTS MAKING VISIBILITY VERY POOR. HEAT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 5-10 MPH on a flat road surface, the contact noticed an abnormal shift in the rear suspension. The contact parked the vehicle. Upon inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the passenger's side rear wheel had shifted inward. The contact turned on the hazard lights and drove to the nearest dealer at slow speeds. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the passenger's side rear lower control arm was severely rusted and bent, causing the rear passenger's side wheel to shift inward. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 84,000.

On Wednesday June 21st, I was driving home when a warning light came up on my vehicle. It said: Warning Chassis Control Error see owner's manual. I continued to drive until I reached my house. I wasn't hearing any noises or seeing any fluids, so I decided to look at the manual when I reached the house. I pulled into the driveway and my husband asked what was wrong with my back tire. He could see the tire on the driver side. It was leaning almost sideways. He looked under the car and said it had rusted off. It was completely broken off of the axle. I called AAA to have them tow it to a dealership to make the repairs. The tow driver looked under the car and stated that the passenger wheel was doing the same thing. My car has just a little over 100,000 miles on it. Everyone tells me that this should not happen, and it may be a defect issue. Now over a month later my car is still at the dealership because Nissan has no ETA on when, if ever they will have a right control arm, part # 555014BAOA. If they ever make one, I am still responsible for 5000.00 on repairs. I am out of a vehicle; it has no trade in value. I work every day. I need a vehicle and I am stuck because Nissan won't supply a part. I truly hope someone will investigate this issue. If it happened to me, I'm sure it must have happened to other Nissan owners as well. If they're using defective metal parts, they should be held accountable. I was fortunate enough to make it home without and accident. If those wheels would have come off as I was driving, I could have been injured or killed, and other vehicles and their passengers could have met the same fate. I beg of you to please investigate this further. The consumer stated that the manufacturer has now provided an ETA on the arrival of the replacement part. The consumer will have to pay out of pocket for the repairs.

I had been complaining about a knocking noise ever since I purchased my 2015 Nissan Rogue in March 2022. Even prior to officially purchasing this vehicle, I even paid Texas Nissan to fully inspect it due to the knocking. Except for some minor wear and tear items discovered, Texas Nissan gave the vehicle a good bill of health. So, I went ahead and purchased the vehicle from Gtubbs Infiniti. However the knocking got louder and more consistent. In March 2023, February 2025 and May 2025, I returned the vehicle to Texan Nissan to complain about the noise. On the later date, Texas Nissan finally informs me of a sway bar being broken, contol arm bushing being torn, and they also "FOUND EXCESSIVE PLAY ON FRONT DRIVER SIDE SEAT FRAME." I have never notice this kind of vibration in the seat before. However, when I mentioned that the seat frame is under recall, Sean Burreal at Texas Nissan, responded that my VIN did not qualify for the recall. I don't understand why the recall wouldnt apply to my vehicle since its affirmative that the defect exists on my vehicle per Texas Nissan. (I have a video of the defect). This all seems so suspicious.

DRIVER'S SEAT SHIFT BACKWARDS AND FORWARDS DURING HARD ACCELERATION OR DECELERATION. DEALER SAYS THAT THEY NOTICE IT BUT CAN'T DO ANYTHING EXCEPT TIGHTEN THE BOLTS, WHICH DOESN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IT SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM, AND IT WOULD BE VERY DISTRACTING IN A REAL EMERGENCY.

THEY DID A JOB THAT REQUIRES TAKING OUT THE BATTERY, I GOT THE VEHICLE THE SEAT BELT REMINDER CHIME IS NO LONGER WORKING. I was traveling east bound and trash collection truck was parked on the shoulder facing east. I could not see the truck because of the position of the sun, and when I did see the parked trash truck, I swerved to miss it but struck the left rear of the parked trash truck with the right front of my vehicle going 35mph. Air bags did not deploy nor did the seat belt lock. I was tranferred to the hospital and sustained 4 broken ribs and an abrasion on my right elbow. Police department and EMS did see that air bags did not deploy. Police report shows code for the air bag and seat belt malfunctions. No warning messages etc of any kind showed up.

I own a 2015 Nissan Rogue with 70,000 miles.Pulling into driveway at 2mph, car suddenly accelerated by itself , leaving me with no control over the car and unable to make it stop before hitting a truck in the rear and pushing the truck sideways. The truck had been parked in driveway. Brakes did not stop the acceleration. Skid marks noted for a couple of feet. Had my 3 year old grandson in the back seat in his car seat. Person's truck I hit, saw the whole event happen. Engine rev'd up and jerked forward. No one was hurt but I was hysterical having my grandson in the car with me. Car had to be towed and still needing to be taken to repair shop. Awaiting to hear from insurance agent on which autobody shop it should be taken to. Truck that I hit had a lot of rear damage.

2015 NISSAN ROGUE, BROUGHT BRAND NEW, HAS 63,000 MILES. HAVING TRANSMISSION ISSUES FOR >9 MONTHS. I HAVE HAD NO PREVIOUS ISSUES UNTIL THEN. I CANNOT DRIVE FOR MORE THAN 30+ MIN BEFORE MY VEHICLE STARTS STALLING AT STOPLIGHTS/STOP SIGNS. WHEN I GO TO ACCELERATE AFTER BRIEFLY STOPPING, THE CAR STUTTERS AND BUCKS UNTIL I PRESS HARDER ON THE ACCELERATION. THE STUTTERING GETS WORSE THE LONGER YOU DRIVE IT. THE SAFETY ISSUE WITH A CAR NOT PROPERLY ACCELERATING WHEN YOU NEED IT TO, IS CONCERNING. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES AND THEY CLAIM THEY CANNOT "DUPLICATE" THE ISSUE, WHILE THE TECHNICIAN ADMITTED TO EXPERIENCING MY COMPLAINT WHILE HE DROVE IT A FEW TIMES. No heating on drivers side. During winter cannot clear windshield for driving. Consider this a safety hazard as we cannot see clearly enough when driving vehicle in inclement or cold weather. Took to mechanic who advised it was a “bend door actuator” that needed replacement. Once he got involved, it turns out to be a stripped plastic gear in the heater box. To replace the heater box, the entire dashboard has to be removed which is unheard of on a 2015 car that has not hit 60k in miles. Bought this new, and car has been garaged and properly maintained since purchase.

NISSAN ROGUE 2015 - SUNROOF/MOONROOF SHATTERED SUDDENLY. WE WERE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY WITH CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 65MPH; THE WEATHER WAS SUNNY, APPROX. LOW 80'S. NOTHING WAS IRREGULAR ABOUT THE FEEL OF THE CAR, WE WERE NOT DRIVING UNDER AN OVERPASS, OTHER VEHICLES ON THE ROAD WERE NOT ULTRA-CLOSE TO US, AND WE DIDN'T DRIVE OVER ANY OBJECTS, THEN SUDDENLY, WE HEARD A LOUD BANG OUT OF NOWHERE WHICH HARSHLY STARTLED US AND GOT OUR HEARTS POUNDING. AFTER REALIZING THE CAR WAS STILL OPERATING NORMALLY (IE: NO FLAT TIRE, NO STEAM FROM THE ENGINE, NO WARNING LIGHTS ETC.) WHEN WE STOPPED TO LOOK OVER THE CAR FOR ANY SIGN OF DAMAGE, WE FINALLY DISCOVERED CRACKED AND LIFTED GLASS ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE PANORAMIC MOONROOF. LOOKING CLOSER WE FOUND NUMEROUS MORE LONG CRACKS SO WE OPENED THE INTERIOR SUNSHADE TO LOOK UP AT THE GLASS FROM THE INSIDE OF THE CAR, AND WERE ASTONISHED TO DISCOVER THE ENTIRE REAR PORTION OF THE SUNROOF WAS SHATTERED INTO LITTLE TEMPERED PIECES. WE WERE LUCKY I DIDN'T SWERVE AND POTENTIALLY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AFTER THE THUNDEROUS BANG AND/OR THAT THE GLASS DIDN'T DANGEROUSLY CASCADE ON TOP OF US WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS A MAJOR MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY ISSUE AND DEFECT. AFTER RESEARCHING WHAT COULD HAVE CAUSED A SUNROOF TO RANDOMLY SHATTER, I'M APPALLED TO LEARN THAT THIS HAS BEEN A RECURRING ISSUE ON NISSAN VEHICLES FOR YEARS! I NOTICED RECENTLY THAT MY VEHICLE'S HEATER IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, WHEN I TURN ON THE DEFOGGER/ HEATER, THE PASSENGER SIDE WORKS FINE, BUT THE DRIVER'S SIDE ONLY BLOWS COLD AIR, WHICH, WHEN LIVING IN THE NORTH EAST IS A PROBLEM ON COLD DAYS AS THE WINDOW WILL FOG UP WHILE DRIVING. ALSO, THIS CAUSES ME (THE DRIVER) TO HAVE TO RESORT TO WEARING A SCARF AND GLOVES WHILE DRIVING AS IT'S MY SIDE THAT IS FREEZING. ON MULTIPLE OCCURRANCES BEGINNING 5/28/20 WHEN DRIVING OR IDLING ON A HOT DAY WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING OPERATING IN EXCESS OF 40 MINUTES, THE BLOWER REMAINS OPERATIONAL BUT THE AIR FLOW TO THE CABIN SLOWLY REDUCES AND THE TEMPERATURE INCREASES TO A POINT AT WHICH IT EXCEEDS THE EXTERIOR AIR IN BOTH TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY. THIS IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO BREATHE FOR ALL OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE. IT ALSO SOMETIMES CAUSES A FILM OF CONDENSATION TO APPEAR ON THE INTERIOR SURFACE OF THE WINDOWS MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SAFELY NAVIGATE. THIS FILM CANNOT BE REMOVED WITH THE WIPERS BECAUSE IT IS NOT EXTERIOR. THIS HAS OCCURRED MOSTLY DURING THE DAYTIME BUT OCCASSIONALLY AT NIGHT, MOSTLY WHILE MOVING BUT OCCASIONALLY WHILE PARKED. THE DEALERSHIP AND INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE (LIKELY DUE TO INSUFFICIENT DRIVE TIME). THE ISSUE APPEARS TO RESOLVE AFTER THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF FOR SEVERAL (NO LESS THAN 30) MINUTES. THE CABIN AIR FILTER HAS BEEN REPLACED AND THE AREA CLEANED OF DEBRIS WITH NO APPRECIABLE CHANGE IN THE ISSUE.

IN TRYING COMBINATIONS OF AIR-FLOWS AS INSTRUCTED BY MY DEALER, I HAD TO LOOK DOWN TO MAKE SURE I WAS PUSHING THE RIGHT BUTTONS. TALK ABOUT DISTRACTED DRIVING. WHEN I LOOKED BACK UP, I HAD JUST ENOUGH TIME TO SLAM ON MY BRAKES SO THAT I WOULD NOT REAR END A LOGGING TRUCK (THAT WAS ABOUT A 1/2 TO FULL BLOCK AWAY WHEN I FIRST LOOKED DOWN) DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE IN MY MIND. MORE IMPORTANTLY: LAST NIGHT I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM A NIGHT CLASS (ABOUT 7 MILES). WEATHER CONDITIONS WERE LIGHT SNOW AND LIGHT FREEZING MIST. HAD MY TEMP. SET AT 90 DEGREES AND CONTROLS AT FULL DEFROST AND FULL FAN BLOWER. MY WINDSHIELD CONTINUED TO ICE UP BECAUSE OF LACK OF HEAT TO MELT THE FREEZING MIST. VISIBILITY GOT SO POOR I DIFFICULTY SEEING THROUGH MY WINDSHIELD. TRIED TO CONTROL THE VISION BY SPRAYING WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID USING WIPER CONTROLS. THIS HELPED. I CANNOT BELIEVE THERE HAS NOT YET BEEN RECALL FOR THIS HEATING PROBLEM. ESPECIALLY SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER DRIVERS THAT I HAVE READ ABOUT ON THE INTERNET THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEMS OF LACK OF HEAT. This vehicle will fail to accelerate after stopping at stop sign/ red light or in stop/ go traffic. if i hit the gas pedal it won't actually move for seconds and then it will jolt forward. This becomes very dangerous and scary when pulling out onto busy roads. My car vibrates while idling when either air conditioner or heat is on (but only when the car is idling; waiting for light to change and not when moving. When my car was under warranty I reported this to my Nissan service repair mechanic when car was under warranty and was told that was normal. I purchased a car in 2016 and now in 2022 it is still happening. Just need to make sure I’m safe and that car won’t blow up or something. Thank you .

I was driving on the highway with my one year old child and with no warning lights my transmission stopped working the rpms were going out of control and I couldn't drive the car. We were lucky to get out of that situation safely. I contacted Nissan about the transmission codes recall and asked if it would be covered they said yes. I went in with the vehicle and they told.me the transmission would need to be replaced. The car is in perfect condition and shouldn't have these issues. Specially with NO warning. Nissan has tip toed around this issue with me. I did my research and posted to social media to find out SO many more have had this exact issue in older and newer models and Nissan has refused to take responsibility for there faulty CVT transmission. They are still putting them in vehicles leaving it to the consumer to fix. These transmissions need to be recalled before more families are effected by this. I have been back and forth with corporate Nissan for a week now and they are telling me in order to SEE if I qualify for financial assistance Nissan will need to diagnose and fix the car and It is not guaranteed they will help with costs. Instead of fixing the problem they are making me jump through hoops. They KNOW about this issue as the complaints on the BBB are constant and consistent with my situation. Please take my incident into consideration and stop Nissan from producing death trap family vehicles.

I WAS ACCELERATING ONTO THE HIGHWAY ON RT 2, NEAR EXIT 59 IN MASSACHUSETTS ON TUESDAY 3/20, AND THE ENGINE IN THE CAR TURNED OFF WHILE ACCELERATING, GOING ABOUT 55 MPH. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOULDER SAFELY. I TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES TO RESTART THE CAR, BUT THE ENGINE WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO MARLBORO NISSAN, WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR. THEY CONFIRMED THAT THE CAR STILL WOULD NOT START WHEN IT ARRIVED AT THE DEALERSHIP. THE NEXT DAY, IT STARTED AND THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE. THEY WANT ME TO TAKE THE CAR HOME WITH NO EXPLANATION AND NO FIX. I FEEL COMPLETELY UNSAFE GETTING BACK BEHIND THE WHEEL OF A CAR WHERE AN ENGINE JUST TURNS OFF FOR NO REASON. THERE WERE NO VEHICLES AROUND US ON THE ROAD, SO WE WERE ALL EXTREMELY TERRIFIED. THE CAR HAD BECOME VERY LOUD AT THAT POINT, AND WE IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER TO SIDE OF THE ROAD. WE FOUND THAT THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF HAD COMBUSTED, LITERALLY SPONTANEOUSLY. IT WAS COMPLETELY WRECKED AND FOR NO REASON AT ALL. WE TOOK IT TO A SMALL SERVICE STATION AS SOON AS WE COULD, BUT WE WERE IN THE MIDDLE OF SMALL TOWNS WHEN THIS HAPPENED. ALL THEY WERE ABLE TO DO WAS ALLOW US TO VACUUM UP THE GLASS. A FEW OF US HAD CUTS ON OUR BODIES, SO WE BANDAGED THOSE UP WHILE THERE AS WELL. WE CALLED INSURANCE, THERE WERE NO OTHER CARS INVOLVED FORTUNATELY, AS THERE WERE NO OTHER VEHICLES CLOSELY AROUND US WHEN IT EXPLODED. THE INSURANCE COMPANY SAID WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY A $1,000 DEDUCTIBLE FOR THE INCIDENT TO BE REPAIRED. OBVIOUSLY, THIS WAS CONCERNING BECAUSE THIS WAS NOTHING OF OUR DOING. THIS WAS SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THE POOR DESIGN OF THE SUNROOF, AND HAS HAPPENED TO OTHERS AS WELL. NISSAN SHOULD PAY FOR THE DAMAGE, AND IN FACT, SHOULD RE-CALL ALL VEHICLES WITH SUNROOFS TO INSTALL A BETTER DESIGNED SUNROOF WITH APPROPRIATE GLASS. HAD WE HAD OUR SOFT TOP INSIDE OPEN, THERE IS NO TELLING WHAT WOULD OR COULD HAVE HAPPENED AS WE WERE DRIVING AT AN INTERSTATE SPEED. The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and occasionally while the vehicle was idling, the door locks would lock and unlock independently. The contact stated that all four doors were making a vibrating sound while driving. While driving at approximately 50 MPH, the driver’s side rear door was able to be opened while the door was locked. The contact had to pull over to close the door. The message indicating that the trunk was ajar was displayed even though the trunk was closed and securely locked. The dealer had been informed of the failure. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 117,456.

The transfer case system failed, and it is available for inspection upon request. My safety and others safety was put at risk because my vehicle malfunctioned. It is difficult to go uphill and it has turned off on multiple occasions. The car is making a rattle/grinding sound. The vehicle has less than 35,000 miles. The problem has been confirmed by mossy Nissan. The vehicle has been inspected by Nissan. The only warning was having to replace my battery twice while i have owned the vehicle, and the rattling noises/difficulty to accelerate. No lamps or messages illuminated. I UNLOCKED MY CAR TO GET IN AND THEN WHEN I TRIED TO START IT, IT MADE THIS CLICKING SOUND. THE BATTERY TURNED ON SO I KEPT TRYING TO PUSH ON THE BRAKES AND THEN PRESS THE START BUTTON AND IT STILL WOULDN'T WORK. I DID THIS ABOUT 6-9 TIMES AND THEN FINALLY THE CAR TURNED ON. AFTER A FEW SECOND THE A/C TURNED OFF AND THEN TURNED BACK ON. ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS IT DOESN'T DETECT THE KEY IN THE FOB. I HAVE CHANGED OUT THE BATTERY IN MY KEY FOB, I HAD IT LOOKED OVER BY 2 MECHANICS AND MY BATTERY AND START AND ENGINE LOOK GOOD AND ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. I was driving at approximately 25mph in a subdivision and my car turned off. I pulled over immediately to try to crank it but it would not crank. I noticed smoke coming from the engine so I exited the vehicle with my child. The smoke got way worse within a few minutes and then the front engine was engulfed in flames.

THE CAR HAS A KEYLESS OPERATION. AFTER SERVICE AN REPROGRAMMING FOR A CVT ISSUE, THE ENGINE FAILED TO START AFTER SITTING IN THE GARAGE OVERNIGHT. IN ORDER TO START, THE BRAKE MUST BE ENGAGED BEFORE PUSHING THE START BUTTON. THIS DID NOT WORK AND THE START ENGINE LIGHT DID NOT COME ON. PUSHING THE START BUTTON RESULTED IN CLICKING NOISE BUT THE SOLENOID (IF THIS CAR HAS ONE) DID NOT ENGAGE. AFTER TRYING SEVERAL TIMES AND TURNING LIGHTS ON AND OFF, THE CAR STARTS. The contact later noticed that the carpet was soaked and that the water stains had extended from the headliner to the interior door liner. The contact stated that while driving in the rain, water was leaking from the ceiling onto the front driver's and passenger's seats, the front driver's door, and the front passenger's door. October 2021 while driving at a 55 mph my stirring wheel felt hard to maneuver and a chasis control light/check engine light came on. I felt a resistance to steer and speed was reducing. I manage to pull over right away and turn off car it would not turn off until I continuously press my start button. After my car got towed it would not jump star no power at all A mechanics saw and diagnostic as an electrical issue possibly harness with a code U0100. I decided to take to Nissan dealer they diagnosed an IPM issue replaced for $1300. Took car drove fine for two months two months later while driving my chasis control light came up again my steering to the right was too hard so I pull to the left manage to park. Car turn off at first press on start button but it wouldn’t jump start again. Replace the ipm Nissan said harness that holds has to be replace want to do it for $5k and not sure if it will fix issue. My car had no signs of issues ever before very scare to fix and drive now since it just suddenly doesn’t let me control steering and dies right away with no warnings. Very dangerous for all road drivers. No current recall resolution till next month however I need a vehicle very inconvenient and dangerous for me.

SHE THOUGHT I PROBABLY HAD PLASTIC HEADLIGHT COVERS THAT HAD DISCOLORED TOOK CAR TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND ESTABLISHED THAT WAS THE PROBLEM BUT THEY COULD NOT JUST REMOVE "GLAZE" FROM OUTSIDE SINCE GLAZE WAS INSIDE THE HEADLIGHT. QUOTED $1,000 TO REPAIR. There is standing water on the driver’s side floorboard and a sloshing noise can be heard while driving. This appears to match conditions described in a Technical Service Bulletin (reference: NTB14-105a). The issue is especially bad in rainy conditions and the accumulation of moisture causes condensation on the inside of the windshield and windows making it difficult to clear off to see while driving. Additionally due to the large amount of water, mold is starting to grow on the interior upholstery. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealer who confirmed the issue although they declined to cover the cost of the repair as there are currently no active recalls related to this issue. They further claim that NTB14-105a does not apply to this vehicle.

Hood was inadvertently released by driver due to hood latch release's location next to the fuel door release. Driver then pulled out of gas station onto street. While traveling under 15 miles per hour and within a block, the hood flew upward, obscuring the driver's view, causing damage to the hood, fenders, and cowl filler pieces. Damage has been inspected by the insurance appraiser/body shop manager, who confirmed the hood release safety latch was "frozen" and only became operative after manually manipulating it several times. The same individual mentioned this was the second Rogue in less than a year where he had noted hood damage, again without affecting the windshield or the roof. Cause of damage in that case was only learned after the appraiser had questioned the driver and the driver mentioned that the hood had flown up in a prior unrelated incident.

My wife and I were returning from a Thanksgiving trip to relatives in Virginia southbound on I 95 She was driving and we both felt the car shudder as we began to lose speed. There was no acceleration even though the Tachometer was in a high range. We limped into a Rest Area ,shut down the car and called a tow service. We were towed to Deacon Jones Nissan in Golsboro, N.C. where we were told we needed a new transmission. The Service Manager told us this CVT transmission is supposed to be serviced every 30 K miles .We were at 87734. There was never a dashboard warning light to that effect nor any notice from Nissan. Our expenses were: Transmission=$6619.34; Towing=$155; 2 nights at hotel=$201.38

Nissan has a flaw in their door blend actuators in which over time the actuator motor that turns the HVAC flap gets worn out by the turning of the actuator. Overtime the hole in which the actuator goes into gets worn out, which disables the flap to work properly. This is an issue because in my case, I cannot utilize my defroster or even see under cold conditions if the flap cannot distribute cold air. I am forced to pay 5 grande to fix something that is a necessity. I need to see when driving down the road. Nissan should do something to fix this issue on rouge models of 2015 to current ones.

The passenger airbag is faulty, the airbag will now not deploy in the case of a collision. Initially before the airbag light was on, the sensor would classify the seat as empty when it wasn't, similar to one of the existing recalls Nissan has on Rogues, that this VIN is not included in. Now it has progressed where the SRS air bag light flickers on regardless of resetting it. This is a safety hazard for my dogs and spouse that go on the passenger front seat.

The airbag light turns on despite not having a passenger seated or anything on the seat. I’ve never gotten into a crash either and when I took my car to Jiffy Lube to run a diagnostic the code B0020 past came up. From what I read online this is a common sensor issue. Nissan should do a recall and fix this.

Car seat was removed from car to be cleaned and set in ground. The base of car seat fell off and springs and buttons popped out. The springs and buttons are those used to adjust recline of seat. Upon further inspection and comparison to identical seat purchased at same time, but different color, the broken seat had no screws holding in base of seat. The intact seat I compared it to had 8 star head screws in the base holding it onto the frame. I have never seen any screws on the actual seat of my car, I was unable to locate any screws on the ground where I set the car seat down to clean it.

Seat removed from car for cleaning and set on ground gently (as always) and the bottom of the seat just fell off. When the bottom fell off, springs popped out and the buttons to adjust the seats recline came out of place. The seat was inspected and compared to our other seat of the same make/model (different padding colors) bought on the same day in September of 2021. When We compared the seats we noticed there are 8 Star shaped screws holding on the bottom piece of the car seat. There were no screws seen on the ground or in the car. The screw holes on the car seat the bottom popped off of do not appear to be damaged. I have never found screws in my car or on the ground on the maybe 5 times thr car seat has been taken out of my car for cleaning or needed for space to haul something in my vehicle. The car seat has never been traveled with on airplane or removed/moved without me being the one to do it. The only conclusion I can come to about this is that the screws were never in place to begin with. There is just no other explanation. The car seats have never been moved without me being the one to do it and at no time have I found random screws laying around that could have come from the seat. The consumer had to purchase a new car seat. They have also been in communication with a representative from Britax.

NOW THAT THE WEATHER IS HOT AND I NEED THE COOL AIR IT HAS NOT BEEN WORKING I TOOK IT IN AND FOUND THAT THE A/C O RINGS AT EVAP WERE LEAKING AND HAD IT REPLACED AND RECHARGED. Issue occurs when driving around a 30 minute plus commute. When driving at an incline the vehicle fails to accelerate and reduces speeds rapidly changing from 65 mph to 40 mph. Rather scary to have cars flying by with lost of acceleration. There has been 3 incidents of this occurring.No accident occurred was able to pull over each time due to driving in the slow lane.

Check engine light came on. Took to dealership. They performed diagnostics. Told me the transmission was failing and needed to be replaced. Also said that the catalytic converter was failing too and needed to be replaced also. Didn't have issues with the car up to this point. Researched and saw that Nissan had issues with their CVT transmissions including the Rogue model and year I had. This was the second time a transmission failed on a Nissan Rogue that I owned. If there is an issue with the transmission why are they allowed to still sell it? A bad transmission can cause an accident when driving or in reverse. Needless to say I was pretty much forced to sell this on a trade in for a new vehicle. It's thousands of dollars to repair/replace and no guarantee that the transmission they put in will work properly either. Your agency really dropped the ball on this. This issue has been going on for 2 decades already. I would like to be reimbursed for it. I know that's not your agency's job but you should be much more diligent on these issues. Consumer lives are at risk not to mention the huge cost of repairing/replacing a transmission. Nissan is getting a free pass on selling defective vehicles to the public.

I TOOK IT IN AGAIN AT 80K MILES AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I WAS ON THE WAY TO NEEDING A NEW TRANSMISSION AT 80K! AND THEY HAD SEEN LOTS OF OTHER CARS LIKE MINE BUT THE WARRANTY JUST LAPSED. NOW AT 98K MILES MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I HAD THE CODE RAN TO FIND OUT IT IS THE TRANSMISSION. ANOTHER SIDE EFFECT IS MY GAS MILEAGE HAS DROPPED TO ABOUT 20 MILES TO THE GALLON HIGHWAY .

2015 NISSAN ROGUE COMPLETELY LOST POWER ON A PARKWAY ON OCTOBER 26TH AROUND 7PM DURING A RAIN STORM. LUCKILY THERE WAS LOW TRAFFIC AND WAS ABLE TO COAST OFF A NEARBY RAMP HOWEVER WINDOW-SHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING AND BARELY ABLE TO SEE. AFTER COMING TO A STOP THE CAR WAS CUT OFF AND RESTARTED. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR OTHER WARNINGS APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD. AFTER A FEW DAYS THE CAR HAD NO ISSUES AND THEN IT CUT OFF AGAIN ON OCTOBER 4TH WHILE AT A STOPLIGHT LATE AT NIGHT. I NOTIFIED NISSAN OF AMERICA OF THE ISSUE ON SEPTEMBER 27TH AND THEY MENTIONED THERE ARE NO RECALLS OR CAMPAIGNS HOWEVER I SEE SEVERAL REPORTS OF THE SAME POWER FAILURE ISSUE ONLINE. LOCAL NISSAN DEALER HAS HAD THE CAR SINCE OCTOBER 5TH AND CANNOT DUPLICATE ISSUE OR FIND CODES INDICATING WHAT COULD CAUSE THE POWER FAILURE. THIS IS A VEY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND NISSAN SHOULD KNOW WHAT COULD CAUSE THE CAR TO COMPLETELY POWER OFF AND ALL CONTROL IS LOSS BRIEFLY WHILE DRIVING. CAR HAS APPROXIMATELY 103,000 TO 106,000 MILES AND ALL MAINTENANCE HAS BEEN DONE ALONG WITH NO PREVIOUS SERIOUS ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION ISSUES.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER A THIRD TIME AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN THE THROTTLE BODY AND ECM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED BECAUSE THE DEALER COULD NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE FAILURE WOULD NOT RECUR. A FEW MONTHS LATER, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO COULD NOT DIAGNOSE A FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.

BECAUSE THIS SEEMED ODD, I CALLED BRIDGESTONE AND THE TIRES ARE NOT UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE THEY ARE MADE SPECIFICALLY FOR NISSAN. NISSAN DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE TIRES. I BOUGHT THIS 2015 NISSAN ROGUE SL BRAND NEW, WITH THE PLASTIC STILL ON IT. SINCE I'VE OWNED IT I HAVE HAD NOTHING EXCEPT PROBLEMS WITH THE DRIVERS SEAT. NAMELY THE FRAME OF THE SEAT HAS BEEN REPLACED 2 TIMES. THE PLASTIC COVERING ON THE SIDE OF THE SEAT WITH THE POWER SEAT CONTROLS HAS BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES. THE LATEST THIS PAST WEEK. THEN THE CHROME MOLDING ON TOP OF THE DRIVERS DOOR KEEPS COMING OFF AND HAS BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES. THEN BACK TO THE SEAT ISSUE. I MIGHT ADD THAT THE PLASTIC PART OF AT THE BOTTON OF THE PASSENGER SEAT ON THE SIDE IS NOW NEEDING REPLACED. AS FAR AS THE DRIVERS SEAT GOES, WHEN ACCELERATING OR STOPPING, IT CLICKS. SO I EXPECT THAT THE FRAME WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED AGAIN SOON. THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH THIS IS THAT THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CAR WAS BOUGHT IS GETTING TIRED OF FIXING THIS STUFF. It started when I purchased it in February 2025 Mileage was 99200 I noticed the seatbelt warning signs didn’t ding if I didn’t have my seatbelt on. And the sunroof not only was leaking but it is coming apart where it is held in place I’m afraid it will suddenly come down and strike me without notice while driving. Theee days ago I noticed the airbag light came on while I had the driver assist engaged so I stopped and turned the driver assistance light on and then off which caused the airbag light to turn off . But today with 1100 miles on the vehicle I was driving and the light. Came on as I was driving again. I tried turning off the drivers assistance button but the light stays on!!! I’m concerned about the safety while driving with the airbag light, the seatbelt not signaling when the seatbelt is not on it ding to remind me that someone doesn’t have their seat belt on. At lastly , I believe that I am going to be injured by the sunroof motor fulling down while I am driving causing a car wreck and or injuring me or a passenger. The OCS system in the 2015 model needs to be fixed before serious injury occurs.

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while stopped at a traffic light, the vehicle shook momentarily and then stalled. Additionally, the contact stated that two messages were displayed “Warning – Malfunction” and a “Warning - Chassis System Control Error”. The vehicle was able to restart after several attempts and depressing the accelerator pedal. Additionally, after restarting the vehicle and driving below 20 MPH, the vehicle began shaking and lost motive power. The vehicle was taken to the residence. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the mass air flow sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the same parts needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the ABS, wheel bearing, mass air flow sensor, and sway bar links needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

I have 2015 Nissan Rouge Select for almost 9 year and I haven’t get in any accident with this car . But my air bag light keep turn off twice within a year . Last year it happened on driver side , I replaced it at dealership and the same issue happened just 10 months later . The passenger air bag is off this time . But the dealership said the reason that I can’t accept it. First the mechanic guy told me that the car is old and the way how we drive with the shaking on the road affect airbag wire and sensor . That’s unacceptable because we have an older car than this 2015 Nissan but it never have air bag problem . While we talk with their supervisor to see if there is any recall we miss and what cause the airbag keep going off , he said one thing made me could not believe that the manufacturer would not test the air bag before selling . Is it mean that i bought this Nissan car and I put my self and my family safety under risk while we are on the road ? …...and recently the car transmission failed….

The harness that controls the lift gate is malfunctioning. It’s an issue from the previous recall that has reproduced results. The only way to fix it is to disconnect and connect the safety pins by the foot panel on the drivers side door. Over time it has progressively gotten worse to the point that anytime it opens, it’ll need to be disconnected and then connected before the next time you use it. Also one time it stopped working when the lift gate was open and would not let you close the lift gate.

I was driving in 90°F weather for over an hour on the freeway, and it felt like my car's power cut out. This caused my vehicle to decelerate to 40mph while on a busy freeway, leading me to fear for my and others' safety. I turned the car off, waited for 15 minutes at the exit, and began moving again, only for the same issue to occur again. This time I stayed longer and decided not to push the car past 3k RPM, and made it home. The issue occurred once several months ago, and now it has happened twice on the same trip. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms before the power was cut off. I took the car to an independent service center, and they could not diagnose the problem.

Air bag light will not go out. Had it “repaired” twice by Nissan dealership in past 2 years. Light again on and will not go out. I saw a couple of recalls pertaining to air bag sensors (16V911000, 16V244000, 22V024000) but was told these do not apply to my VIN. Also, since August 1, 2023, the rear hatch back door will not stay up and came down unexpectedly on my head. I saw there was a recall for my year car for the hatch issue (recall #16V219000) and notified Nissan on 8/8 but I was told my VIN is not part of that recall either. This hatch is a very real hazard as it will not stay up for loading and unloading items. I feel both of the air bag light and the hatch pose ongoing hazards if not remedied. Having these two items addressed and repaired at Nissan’s expense is desirable since my vehicle is within the recall years and is exhibiting the issues noted in the recalls. Your helping in getting this to Nissan’s attention would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I first started noticing this transmission acceleration problem about a year ago when my vehicle has been in stop-and-go traffic for at least 30 minutes or more, the transmission feels like it is going to stall. Pressing on the gas won’t accelerate the vehicle or it is very slow to start moving no matter how hard the gas pedal is pressed. The rpm speeds to 4-5 x1000 but the transmission gear feels stuck at 40mph max. Usually I have noticed that if I am able to pull over and stop the car for a few minutes, I can restart the car engine and didn’t’t see signs of the problem again. My husband believes it’s a transmission and gear shift problem that once the Rogue has been in stop-and-go traffic the system isn’t shifting gears correctly. It put myself and my husband at risk since we took the vehicle on a road trip, my husband finally witnessed this happening. It usually only happened to me when I’m coming home sitting in traffic. When I got off the freeway to surface streets, being stuck at stoplights or stop signs had this issue occur a couple of times. I took my vehicle to my local Nissan dealer for inspection but the tech. said they couldn’t mimic/reproduce the problem/issue I was reporting. No other inspection has been made. And no warning lights came on during the problem the few times it has happened. The engine was really loud this most recent time because I was unable to stop and pullover right away. I am open to having my vehicle inspected further for this issue.

The heat does not work. I live in Illinois and the heater/defrost is essential for safely operating the vehicle. With no defrost, my visibility is impaired and it is not safe to drive. When we had our first cold snap a few weeks ago (Nov 2022) I turned on the heater but only cold air blew out. If I had needed to defrost the windows it would not have worked and I would not have felt safe driving. The Nissan service department said it is the heater core case/HVAC and needs to be completely replaced. This is a factory defect and Nissan should issue a recall. There have been several complaints about this problem.

The contact stated that the driver's and passenger's side doors would not unlock automatically with the unlock door switch from the driver's side front door. Additionally, the driver's and passenger's side windows failed to roll up or down as needed. The dealer was made aware of the failure but confirmed that parts were not yet available. I pressed the gas pedal to accelerate, but the car wouldn't go past 65mph. Over a period of time, I began to hear a strange high pitch whining sound. Later, the speed had dropped as low as 40 mph, I switched lanes, and stopped on the shoulder of the highway. As I parked my car, I smelled the odor of the transmission fluid. As I parked, I began to read up about the transmission issue on the owner's manual as well as online. I later found out that the transmission, CVT transmission, had entered a mode called, "limp-mode" wherein the car limits the speed to a safe driving speed (this case it was 65mph) in order to prevent a transmission overheat. Not to mention, I noticed that my Rogue dashboard shows an air bag light flashing, something that happened recently. My family and I almost got into an accident with the transmission on limp mode. A recent bulletin from Nissan stated the issue with the CVT transmission. We had gone to Valvoline and they said that the transmission needed a tune-up. No lamps or indicators showed that the transmission was in limp-mode. The only lamp that was flashing was for the air bag ( there was a recall about that.)

My fuel gauge does not regard fuel consumption nor measure fuel at all. I do not have any idea if I am on empty or half fuel. Fuel indicators just quit functioning and will cost me over $1,100 to fix. The car is 6 years old and only has 50,639 miles.

HI, I BOUGHT THE PARTS FROM ROCKAUTO.COM ON 04/02/2019 AND THEY ARRIVED FEW DAYS LATER AND WERE INSTALLED BY A PROFESSIONAL MECHANIC ON THE DAY OF THE DELIVERY. THE PART NUMBER ARE AS FOLLOW MONROE 272898, AND MONROE 272897. THE PARTS WERE INSTALLED ON RIDE SHARING SUV WHICH IS DRIVEN ALMOST CLOSE TO 1000 MILES A WEEK. THE FIRST QUICK STRUT THAT FAILED AND GOT BROKEN WHILE DRIVING WAS ON 05/20/2019 AND IT WAS THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AND THE SECOND FRONT PASSENGER SIDE QUICK STRUT FAILED AND GOT BROKEN WHILE DRIVING WAS ON 05/25/2019. THE DRIVER SIDE QUICK STRUT FAILURE ALSO CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE DRIVER SIDE AXLE AS WELL. SO BOTH THE MONROE QUICK STRUTS WERE REPLACED BY ORIGINAL USED NISSAN STRUTS ON THE VEHICLE AS WELL THE LEFT AXLE WAS REPLACED BY THE AFTERMARKET COMPANY AXLE. ROCKAUTO.COM WILL ONLY REPLACE THE PARTS WITH ANOTHER SETS OF MONROE QUICK STRUTS AND THEY WILL NOT ISSUE ANY REFUND. I COULD UNDERSTAND IF ONE OF THE STRUT IS DEFECTIVE BUT BOTH OF THEM IS A WHOLE ANOTHER ISSUE. BY VISUALLY I COMPARED BOTH USED NISSAN COMPLETE STRUT ASSEMBLY WITH BRAND NEW MONROE QUICK STRUT AND MONROE QUICK STRUT HAS BEEN MADE POORLY AS THE BUILT QUALITY IS UTTERLY DISAPPOINTING AND CANT HANDLE EVERYDAY USE OF THE SUV. THE ISSUE IS THAT A FULL-SIZE ADULT (150 AND 240 POUNDS) CAN BE IN THE SEAT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG INDICATOR INDICATES THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG IS OFF. THERE IS NO AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASH. I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES AND THE COMPUTER AND AIRBAG SYSTEM HAS BEEN FLASHED, BUT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. SINCE THEN THE DEALSHIP HAS PUSHED ME OFF, EVEN WITH PHOTOS AND EVIDENCE OF THIS HAPPENING. REPORTED 3 DIFFERENT TIMES DEC 2015, FEB 2016, AND MAR 2016. IT WOULD GET SO LOUD AT TIMES SPECIALLY AFTER HAVING CAR OUT IN RAIN. CONTACTED NISSAN CORPORATE 6/13/2016 AND REP SAID GO TO ANOTHER DEALER SHIP FOR SECOND OPINION. WENT TO ANOTHER DEALER SHIP 7/2016 GRUBBS NISSAN DEALER SHIP AND JULY 2017 BRAKE BOOSTER WAS FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE. ON DECEMBER 10, 2016 MAY SON AND I WENT TO SUPERCUTS NEAR LOUIS HENNA BLVD AND IH35 NORTH AROUND 11:00 AM, WHEN I WENT TO PULL INTO A PARKING SPACES, I SLOWED DOWN FROM DRIVING ABOUT 10 MILES AN HOUR, TOOK MY FOOT OFF OF THE ACCELERATOR, APPLIED THE BRAKES TO PARK AND THE 2015 NISSAN ROGUE I WAS DRIVING DID NOT SLOW DOWN, IN FACT IT ACCELERATED AND THREW VEHICLE UP AGAINST A BRICK AND MORTER PILLAR. MEANWHILE I AM STILL TRYING TO STOP THE VEHICLE BY BRAKING AND VEHICLE IS IN PARK. VEHICLE AFTER ABOUT 2 MINUTES STOPS ACCELERATION AND I CANNOT GET VEHICLE OUT OF PARK, I KEPT TRYING TO GET VEHICLE OUT OF PARK TO REVERSE IT OFF OF THE CURB. FINALLY AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, I MOVE INTO REVERSE TO GET CAR OFF OF CURB. THE WHOLE FRONT END OF MY VEHICLE IS CRASHED. THERE ARE PIECES OF MY VEHICLE ON THE SIDEWALK IN FRONT OF ASIAN RESTAURANT. RESTAURANT EMPLOYEE WITNESSED THE WHOLE THING AND HE COMES OUT TO SEE IF WE ARE OKAY.I CHECKED TO SEE IF MY SON WICHAR CLEVELAND IS OKAY. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I CONTACTED ELEPHANT INSURANCE. I DON'T SEE ANY FLUIDS SO I DRIVE VEHICLE TO SERVICE KING, VERY SLOWLY, A FEW BLOCKS AWAY. I CALLED NISSAN ON MONDAY, THEY TOOK MY INFO SAID SOMEONE WOULD CONTACT ME. DEHENRY CALLED NEXT DAY, SAID NISSAN IS NOT LIABLE. I REQUESTED THEY LET ME TRADE VEHICLE FOR A NEW ONE, I DON'T WANT TO DRIVE THAT VEHICLE NOR SHOULD ANYONE ELSE DRIVE IT. I ALSO ASKED THEY PAY FOR CAR RENTAL, DEDUCTIBLES, TOWING OR ANY OF MY EXPENSES. NISSAN INFORMED ME THEY COULD NOT SEND AN INVESTIGATOR TO LOOK AT VEHICLE UNTIL JANUARY 5, 2017 WITH NO GUARANTEES THAT NISSAN WOULD BE LIABLE.I RESEARCHED THE VEHICLE ONLINE AND THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE TO SOMEONE ELSE YET NISSAN HAS NOT DONE A RECALL. TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF HAVING THE CAR. THEY ALSO ADJUST IDLE SPEED WITHIN A MONTH OF HAVING THE CAR AND ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH POWER SOCKETS. CAR MAKES RATTLE NOISE WHEN ACCELERATING AND MAKE LESS GAS MILAGE THAN AVERAGE . THEY HAD REPROGRAMMED THE TCM ALREADY. THEY ALSO CHANGED THE SHIFTER . THEY HAD ADJUST BOTH FRONT BRAKE BACKING PLATES. I WON'T RECOGNIZE THE SMART KEY SOMETIMES. THEY REPLACED ONE HEADLIGHT ALREADY. IT HAS SEVERAL RECALLS.

ALMOST 3 MONTHS INTO CAR WHILE DRIVING SPEED WAS LIKE WHEN THE CAR IS IN NEUTRAL(BUT ON DRIVE) & IF I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL NOTHING HAPPENED THEN IT TURNED OFF. I THOUGHT IT WAS A 1 TIME THING, THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN ALMOST 2 MONTHS AFTER, DEALER SAID WE CANT FIND THE PROBLEM. IT HAPPENED 2 MORE TIMES THEY COULD NEVER FIND THE ISSUE. THEN IT WOULDNT EVEN TURN ON MAKING A LOUD NOISE THEN SAYING KEY NOT DETECTED. THEN AFTER THIS TOWING COMPANY JUMP STARTED CAR, & AT THE DEALER IT HAPPENED TO THEM ONCE. THEY SAID THEY TESTED EVERYTHING BUT CAR WOULD SAY KEY NOT DETECTED. THEN AFTER WE TOLD THEM WE SUBMITTED EVERYTHING TO CORP[ORATE OFFICE THEY SAID IT WAS JUST THE BATTERY & IT DIDN'T HAPPEN AGAIN. SERVICE MANAGER SAID THAT THE JUICE IN THE BATTERY WAS ALL DRAINED & SOMETHING ELSE HAD TO CAUSE THAT ESPECIALLY WHEN IT SAYS KEY NOT DETECTED. THAT THEY DON'T FEEL SAFE US TAKING CAR BACK UNTIL THEY CAN FIND ISSUE BUT LUIS AT NISSAN NORTH AMERICA SAID THAT IS NOT WHAT SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD THEM. THAT THEY CAN'T HELP US DOING A BUY OUT FOR THIS DEFECTIVE CAR BECAUSE TO THEM NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT. THIS IS A VERY HAZARDOUS AND UNSAFE MATTER AND THE LAST TIME IT TURNED OFF ON ME I WAS IN THE HIGHWAY I45 HAD TO SLOWLY LET IT GO TO THE SIDE ROAD UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO TURN BACK ON. I WAS DRIVING UP HILL AND PRESSED THE BRAKES TO TURN RIGHT, AND THE BRAKES DIDN'T CAME UP, THE CAR CAME TO HALT AND THEN STARTED ROLLING BACK WARDS. NOW I TRIED TO PUT THE BRAKES BUT ITS STUCKED, I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR IT DIDN'T RESPONDED. SOON WITHING 4-5 SEC THE CAR PICKS UP SPEED, I CHANGED THE MODE TO PARKING, NOTHING HAPPENED. IT ROLLED DOWN AND FELL INTO A DITCH. NOTHING SERIOUSLY DAMAGED. BUT I AM SCARED TO DRIVE THAT CAR AGAIN. WHEN THE CAR WAS PULLED FROM THE DITCH THE BRAKES WERE STILL ON. TEERING WHEEL VIBRATES AT SPEEDS 25-55 MPH. MOST OF THE VIBRATION WILL STOP IF I DRIVE IN THE SPORT MODE. HAVE BACK TO DEALER THREE TIMES, BUT NO LUCK. THEY SAID OTHER 2015 ROGUE SHOW THE SAME PROBLEM, THERE IS NO TBS ISSUED YET, SO THEY BASICALLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. TWO DIFFERENT DEALERS FELT THE VIBRATIONS. YOU CAN ALMOST HEAR A LIKE A HARMONIC NOISE WHEN THIS HAPPENS. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN AND AM WAITING FOR A RESOLUTION OR SOMETHING. I ASKED NISSAN TO FIND A ROGUE THAT DOESN'T VIBRATE OR GET OUT OF MY LEASE WITH MY MONEY BACK.

I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ONE EVENING, AND SINCE THE OTHER VEHICLES WERE PASSING ME ON THE FREEWAY. I DECIDED TO CHANGE FROM "ECO" MODE TO "SPORT" MODE BECAUSE THE ACCELERATION IS MORE RESPONSIVE AND SMOOTH. WHEN I DID THIS I HIT 3 RPM'S AND TRAFFIC WAS SLOWING DOWN SO I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE NEEDLE JUST STEADILY SHOOK AT 3 RPM'S AND I COULD HEAR THE ENGINE REVVING AND ACCELERATING AS I WAS PUSHING THE BREAKS. SO JUST TO MAKE SURE I KNEW WHAT I EXPERIENCED WAS TRUE I MOVED ALL THE WAY TO THE LEFT LANE. THEN PROCEEDED TO ACCELERATE UP TO 3 RPM'S AND SURE ENOUGH WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES IT CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. I REPEATED THIS 4 MORE TIMES. THEN THE RPM FINALLY CAME BACK DOWN. WHAT I TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS YES "SPORT" MODE DOES KEEP RPM'S HIGH I LIKE THAT THAT'S THE REASON WHY I DRIVE IN THAT MODE ON THE FREEWAY. THE ISSUE IS THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO COME DOWN AND NOT REV WHENEVER I PUSH THE BRAKES. I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS EXCLUSIVE TO MY VEHICLE OR NOT. I JUST DON'T WANT TO BE IN AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THE FACT OF A DETERIORATED FAULTY SYSTEM IN THE VEHICLE.

ALSO FOR AUTO TO BE A 4-CYLINDER IT BURNS GAS QUICKLY. BECAUSE THE CENTER GEAR DOES NOT LOCK, IT'S TOO EASY TO MISTAKENLY KNOCK GEAR OUT OF MODE WHILE DRIVING I.E. GOES FROM DRIVE TO LOW OR NEUTRAL WITHOUT EFFORT. ALSO JUST GOT AN OIL CHANGE AT 10,000 MILES, CAR HAS ABOUT 11,000 MILES AND COMPUTER ALERTING ME THAT NEED OIL CHANGE. I WILL BE BRINGING VEHICLE TO NISSAN OF GARDEN CITY SERVICE DEPT ON WED 8/26/15 AND WILL REQUEST A COMPLETE THOROUGH DIAGNOSTIC OF VEHICLE AND WILL BE PREPARED TO LEAVE VEHICLE UNTIL EVERY THING IS CORRECTED IN EXCHANGE FOR A LOANER VEHICLE.

THERE IS AN ODOR COMING FROM THIS CAR. LEASED IT IN NOVEMBER 2014. BRAND NEW. IT IS NOW MAY AND THE SMELL IS STILL PRESENT IN THE VEHICLE. IT SMELLS LIKE A PLASTIC BURNING. IT MAKES ME NAUSEOUS AND OTHER PASSENGERS ARE ALSO NAUSEOUS. THE WINDOWS HAVE TO BE OPEN ALL THE TIME. IT GETS STUCK TO YOUR TONGUE AND YOU TASTE IT. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED.
