I had to replace my cooling system (fan, radiator, hoses, coolant) on this car after driving it only 30K miles. This led to over heating the car engine and stopped working because of that.. I was told by Nissan dealer it stopped working and they are seeing many of those issues related to the same car that I have. It costs me $1500 to replace it.

The electric fan motor on the radiator failed. This caused the vehicle to overheat. The cap on the coolant reservoir did not actuate and the coolant reservoir exploded. The mechanical failure of the fan lead to a catastrophic failure of the coolant reservoir. If someone, a service tech or customer was under the hood when this happened they would most likely have died due to the extreme force and heated liquid coming out of the exploded reservior tank.

The contact stated that the accelerator pedal failed to respond while depressed. The Forward Collision Avoidance warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the cause of the failure was not determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 62,000.

My automatic braking system malfunctioned twice within a year. It stopped and started right up again even though there was no car close in front of me or beside me. The first time it happened on Interstate 95. The second time I was driving on a road going approximately 45 miles per hour. Thankfully, on both occasions, there was no car close behind me. I took it a Nissan dealership. They test drove it and did a diagnostic test. The problem could be diagnosed or duplicated. Since this last occurrence 2 weeks, I now manually disable the ABS every time I get in my car.

The vehicle then stopped for a brief moment. The contact was able to continue driving. The failure occurred twice. Additionally, whenever reversing, the Collision Avoidance system would be activated without any vehicle nearby. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer however, the mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the Forward Collision-Avoidance Emergency Automatic braking system activated inadvertently and the vehicle stopped without another vehicle nearby. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a local dealer nor an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact deactivated the system however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,023.

I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM THE STORE ON BRAGG BLVD AND I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 45 MILES PER HOUR AND OUT OF THE BLUE AN ALARM WENT OFF AND LIGHT ON THE DASH STARTED FLASHING AND THE AUTO BREAKING STARTED TO STOP MY 2020 NISSAN ROGUE SPORT FOR NO REASON NO ONE WAS IN FRONT OF ME OR BEHIND ME AND I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH THE ROUGE WHY WAS IT TRYING TO STOP ON THE HIGHWAY AT 45 MILES PER HOUR, JUST TRIED TO STOP FOR NO REASON.

Heading home while raining the Automatic Emergency Break engaged while driving and nothing was present to make it engage. This time my husband was driving and it made us run off the road. This also engaged while backing out of my garage and nothing was present to make it engage. Nissan does not seem like they want to fix the issue.

MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING HER NEW 2020 NISSAN ROGUE SPORT DURING THE DAY. HER BRAKES ENGAGED AT FULL STRENGTH AND THE CAR CAME TO A JOLTING STOP. THERE WAS NOTHING IN FRONT OF HER AND LUCKILY NOTHING BEHIND HER. THIS IS A SEVERE SAFETY ISSUE THAT DESERVES A RECALL! I HAVE READ THAT AT LEAST 1400 OTHER ROGUE OWNERS HAVE REPORTED THIS PROBLEM. WHY NO RECALL?!

WITHIN TWO MONTHS OF PURCHASING A BRAND NEW VEHICLE THE CAR STARTED BREAKING AND CAME TO A FULL STOP WITHOUT ANY REASON. BOTH INCIDENTS HAPPENED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT WITH NO HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS ON THE ROAD.

The radio will cut off screen for the radio goes out and when I was backing up the screen went black. The radio went out more then 3 times this has happen multiple times. The first time I can remember was September 30, 2021 and latest was like June 2022 can’t remember the time in between

While my wife was travelling onto a service ramp to enter Hwy 820 west, she didn't see any vehicles on the service road. When she looked forward, she saw a car stopped, without tale lights on. As she got closer, she noticed the car was not moving. She was slowing down, but when noticing the car not moving, she pressed harder on the brakes. The roads were wet, and she slide into the car. While the seat belts held, none of the air bags deployed. No police report provided. She called them, but since nobody needed an ambulance, they indicated nobody was hurt. She did tell them she and her mom were in pain.

Radiator fan issue. Dealership told me it is a common problem with this car. Cost is crazy expensive to fix . And if I fix it with Nissan part will this happen again because they are making bad parts.

The repair for the key recall is just wrong. Whoever thought to lock the key open took the easy way out. The key and key fob will break and is 4 1/2 inches long and difficult to carry. I know this is not life threatening but horrible fix to a problem.

Fan Assembly - Nissan (21481-6MA0B) failed at 68,000 miles. Can can overheat and car will fail. This fan helps cool the AC and radiator.

My car just made 50k miles and the cooling fan has gone out. A google search for a more reasonable replacement option (I was quoted almost $1100 for parts and labor) led me to a message board of other owners with the same issue and a class action lawsuit against Nissan. If this is indeed a widespread and known issue, Nissan needs to own up to it and make it right.

My acceleration hasn’t been working properly. I had my car inspected by a third-party and they said my transmission is slipping. The mechanic said this is a defect he is seeing in my type of car. He said bring it to Nissan so I did. Because there is no light or code popping up yet in my car, they refuse to do anything. They told me to keep driving my car unless a warning light comes on, despite me informing that I almost crashed several times due to the lack of acceleration.

The contact placed the vehicle in the park position, exited the vehicle, and locked it. After twenty minutes, the vehicle rolled away across a highway and crashed into a house. The contact was able to chase the vehicle, but the doors were locked. There were no reported injuries, air bag deployment, or fire. A police report was filed. While driving, an unknown malfunction light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a body shop. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport S AWD - The entire car unexpectedly shut down (I.E.: Exactly as if the car was completely off) while driving on two separate occasions, almost causing massive accidents and potential severe injury and/or death for everyone affected. Fortunately, I immediately reacted to get on a shoulder lane and allow the car to slow down, even though the car had no power steering, breaks that malfunctioned, and an electrical system/lights that completely went dead. This is all due to the JackKnife Key recall, which was not properly disclosed by the dealership, and which Nissan refuses to properly address and fix the matter even while acknowledging that an accident could have caused severe bodily injury and/or death. Also, the recall permanent fix is negligent due to the fact that the key fob would have a plastic spacer that would require key fob to have the key out in the open position at all times. The issue is that the key fob was never engineered to be in an open position at all times, so it would most likely break fast. This would require the consumer to now pay thousands of dollars to have a a new key fob made and to replace the affected areas of the key slot. Nissan should be responsible for finding a permanent fix , which should be to replace all affected parts with new ones, instead of inserting a cheap plastic spacer in the key fob which would require it to stay erect 24/7 all in the name of profits. The lives of our family members, kids, loved ones, and anyone affected are more important than Nissan's cheap fix (a cheap plastic spacer that probably costs less than $0.99 to produce, all in the name of increased profits and decreased costs by finding the most unsafest and cheapest solution possible. What if the spacer breaks, since the key will get destroyed being erect 24/7 in someone's pocket all day, and this happens again! Nissan should be mandated to either replace all affected parts with completely new parts or buy the car back above value.

Vehicle has 61k miles and the a/c began blowing cold and hot intermittently as the car was idle but no engine lights were coming on. 5 days later a mechanic was able to look at vehicle and discovered the one fan responsible for entire car wasn’t not coming on and it was only the air being pushed into the front of vehicle by having it in motion that was turning the fan thus making the vehicle blow cold air when in motion and keeping the engine cooled. No warning lights were coming on and staying on

The fuel gauge has failed. The ac unit has been finicky since I purchased the vehicle and has already received one repair. Fuel gauge has been reading incorrectly for 2 weeks now. Read that it is a common issue for the nissan rogue sports. A few days ago my forward collision warning came on and said system error. There were no objects in front of me or stuck to the vehicle.

Engine shut off while waiting at a red light when pressing the gas pedal, everything else working find gear shit moving but car like disconnected,then 1 week later shuts off again at a drive through while pressing the brakes , remote start has never worked in the vehicle which is equipped with one, sometimes the screens shuts off while driving having to turn on and off the car multiple times until it works

I was driving home when I heard a bump sound and the malfunction came up on the control panel, the steering wheel would not stay straight and I had to put it a little to the left to drive straight . I proceeded to go forward through the stop sign and turned left to get to the house and when I went to turn l=right to get in the driveway it felt like I had a flat tire all of a sudden. I put it in park and got out and the front right tire on the passenger side was facing out away from the car! I immediately called aaa to bring it to the dealership.

On Saturday [XXX] while driving on [XXX] while in cruise control mode and set approx. 71 mph I know that my right knee made minimal contact with keyfob and the engine seemed to shut down and the vehicle decelerated immediately, I had no desire to brake due to my seeing my speed was near 30 mph. Traffic was not directly behind and all I was trying to locate was the 4 way hazard to engage which having only recently purchasing [XXX] and I had driven maybe 60 miles I located but with seeing a couple of vehicles approaching and being in the #2 lane my steering was stiff with little chance to get over safely to the #1 lane or to the further left HOV lane, I reached down w/ right hand and made very minimal contact with ignition/ keyfob area and the vehicle had power and was able to regain speed. I absolutely did not attempt to turn the key that was still fully in place. I can not say that other than making contact with no aggressive action or intent was I to believe the vehicle would again be running as it had prior and I proceeded the remainder of my trip (approx. 15-18 miles) with no further issues and without a clue other than I had been made aware of the recall prior to purchase and told it was not anything to be concerned with that the jackknife keyfob seemed to lock in the open position fine, and to just leave it in that position, which I did not agree with that opinion as I read about this safety issue and have brought up on at least 4 occasions prior to and after the sale. We were actually informed by the finance mgr. upon signing there were NO RECALLS on this vehicle, which we made him aware of and he commented that it would be nice if somebody would let him know that! And I informed sales person on two separate occasions as well asking that it receive the final Nissan remedy yet never being taken very seriously and now unhappy with this event when I that my knee making such slight contact is disturbing! My car stopped in the middle of AN EXTREMELY busy road with no warning lights or signs that my engine was over heating due to a faulty fan Giving more research into it there are thousands of people with Nissan rogue’s experiencing the same exact issue and Nissan has not tried to fix the problem They are installing faulty cooling fans in peoples cars and putting them in dangerous situations when their cars overheat in heavy traffic They are going to cause the death of someone when their car stalls on a busy street with no warning or sign I was almost hit by several other cars

There was about a handful of incidents in the almost 3 years that ive had this car where i am driving and suddenly the vehicle stops accelerating . the RPM shoots up and the speed stayed at 20mph. I took it to the Nissan dealership service center for a diagnostic and was told that there are no problems with my car.

ABOUT 50 MILES IN DURING A ROAD TRIP, CVT TRANSMISSION FAILED. SLUGGISH WHEN ACCELERATING, WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PAST 40 MPH. GEAR WOULD NOT RELEASE TO REVERSE OR PUT INTO PARK TO SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF. HAD TO FIND AN OPEN FIELD IN ORDER TO TURN AROUND AND DRIVE BACK HOME DUE TO NOT BEING ABLE TO REVERSE. PROCEEDED BACK WITH FLASHERS ON AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED. WHEN I REACHED HOME, I PUSHED THE BUTTON TO POWER OFF THE VEHICLE, IT GAVE A WARNING THAT IT MUST BE IN PARK FIRST BUT I WAS ABLE TO PUT THE GEAR IN PARK AT THIS POINT. DURING THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT AND RETURNING HOME, THERE WAS NO WARNINGS PRESENT ON THE DASH. IF I HAD BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY AT 75 MPH DURING THIS INCIDENT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC! I CALLED THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN ON MONDAY. IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY AND JUST HIT 50,000 MILES. UPON RESEARCHING, THIS SEEMS TO BE A KNOWN ISSUE WITH ROGUES OF CERTAIN YEARS, MINE INCLUDED IN 2020, WITH NISSAN.

Bought new in 2020, then after 24k miles, had rough idle, uneven acceleration, occasional lurching while decelerating. Check engine indicator, code p0301. Dealership diagnosed faulty transmission, said needed replacement, then took about 90 days to finish repairing the vehicle. Now, as I expected, 25k miles later, exactly the same situation, except so far the check engine light has not come on and diagnostic code was only obtained by checking OBDII data after noticing the return of symptoms. I have no reason to believe if the vehicle is turned in that it will be completed in a reasonable time frame. Also it's clear that even after replacement, the new component is only likely to run for an additional 20k-25k miles.

My 2020 Nissan Sport braked while I was driving and then lost power completely and would not accelerate no matter how much or how long I pressed the gas pedal. This occurred for no reason and there was no obstacle in front of the vehicle. This is a very serious problem and could cause a serious accident. A message appeared in the instrumental panel saying “Warning Malfunction” and the symbol of two cars colliding appeared.
