While driving on the interstate and exiting at normal speed, my 2014 Nissan Rogue suddenly lost all propulsion. The engine continued to rev, but the transmission stopped delivering power to the wheels. This happened in active traffic and created an immediate safety hazard, as vehicles behind me had no warning that my car would lose power. After stopping and restarting the engine, the vehicle regained limited movement, but the power no longer matched the RPMs. This indicates internal CVT slip and loss of hydraulic pressure. Shortly after, the check engine light appeared. A diagnostic scan showed a CVT stepper motor fault, a critical component that controls pulley ratio and belt pressure. When this part or the related hydraulic system fails, the transmission cannot maintain pressure, causing slipping, overheating, loss of acceleration, and potential total failure. Many 2014–2016 Rogue owners report the same symptoms: sudden loss of power, delayed engagement, high RPM with no acceleration, and overheating. Transmission specialists consistently point to recurring internal CVT defects, including stepper motor failure, valve body wear, pressure control solenoid issues, and breakdown of the hydraulic system that maintains belt tension. These are not normal wear items but indicators of a systemic design flaw. Nissan has long been aware of widespread CVT problems. Earlier models using the same CVT design received warranty extensions due to high failure rates. Numerous Technical Service Bulletins address CVT slip, judder, overheating, and stepper motor issues. Despite this, Nissan denies responsibility for the 2014 Rogue. My dealer stated the only fix is complete transmission replacement costing thousands of dollars, with no goodwill assistance offered. This failure presents a serious safety risk. Losing propulsion without warning on a highway or while merging can easily lead to a collision. This is part of a repeat pattern of CVT failures, and I request NHTSA investigation.

The vehicle enters 'limp mode' without any warning indicators (dash lights or chimes) and it's not immediately clear why the vehicle does so or that the vehicle is, in fact, in limp mode. This has happened several times with the most recent case (October 18th) being extremely dangerous. I was highway driving in the Colorado mountains with limited exits available and speed limits that far exceeded my maximum 'limp mode' speed while traveling up hill. In addition to all the trucking traffic and hills, this created an extremely dangerous scenario. I read online that the poor design/manufacture of these Rogues caused them to be potentially prone to overheating, but that poor design shouldn't have precluded warning indicators (at the very least) and potentially a recall. The ambient temps on that Saturday were in the 40-50 degree range. Hardly highway driving conditions that you'd even guess an overheat would happen to 'highway-worthy' vehicle. I felt unsafe between the much faster traveling and accelerating traffic and had to exit the highway as soon as practical for my safety and the safety of other motorists. I have reported this to Boulder Nissan & Nissan Corporate and they speciously/dubiously told me that I need a new transmission (which effectively totals this vehicle).

While driving down the interstate, as I exited my vehicle lost power. It would rev up but no movement. I turned the car off and restarted, now the car will drive but the power output to the wheels does not match rpm's. Check engine light came on, went to AutoZone and ran diagnostics and the code says stepper motor on cvt transmission. Started checking it out, the dealer says only transmission replacement will fix it.

The vehicle was experiencing judder on two recent occasions. The vehicle was just over 90K miles and due for a CVT fluid inspection. After experiencing brief but violent jerks/judders while operating between 1,500 and 2,000 rpms, I took the vehicle into the Nissan dealership for said fluid inspection/change. The dealership declined to perform the requested service that day and instead recommended I 'Replace transmission and install transmission cooler' due to a "P0744" code read from the vehicle's ODB. The vehicle's tachometer would bounce when the vehicle was experiencing the issue. What's particularly concerning is that the vehicle has received the regularly suggested maintenance and shows no warning lights on the dash. I researched the P0744 code for the 2014 Rogue and found the NHTSA published service bulletin related to this problem. I'm quite concerned that the dealership didn't offer this investigation as a primary option. The steps detailed in this bulletin: [XXX] are surely less expensive than the transmission replacement recommended. It concerns me that Nissan is skipping prudent and more cost-effective diagnostic steps seemingly due to their tacit acknowledgement that these CVTs were poorly built- hence the extended powertrain warranty that was offered to settle the class action lawsuit. It appears that poor/self-serving advice continues to be given to Nissan customers rather than acknowledge the design flaws of the 2014-18 Nissan Rogue CVTs. There has been an issue with CVT on this transmission for many years. My vehicle has had this happen 3 times now. When I’ve contacted my dealership they always tell me there’s no recall etc! When traveling on a highway in warm weather….the rpm goes way up and you can not accelerate. When you pull off and shut the vehicle off and start it again. It will work fine. I just read that Nissan had put a “governor “ on the transmission as a safety feature. And this was the suggestion to pull off and shut vehicle down for 10 minutes as this “resets” it! I was not made aware of this malfunction! When I called Nissan today the agent told me there was an extended warranty on my vehicle but it expired January 2022! There is ABSOLUTELY no warning this will happen. I was ahead of a truck in I-88 when all of a sudden my vehicle was slowing down and I was not able to accelerate and had to pull off on a unsafe part of the highway!

The airbag light has been illuminated. Checked the wiring under the seats & is not loose. This issue has been recalled for other VINs but Nissan is neglecting to expand to all cars with the problem! This is a huge safety risk & needs to be recalled!

The contact owned a 2014 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at 20 MPH he rear-ended the vehicle in front of him and was constantly accelerating and braking. The front passenger side air bags did not deployed. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact and the front passenger were transported to the hospital by ambulance. The contact stated that his neck and back were sore and that he had emotional distress. The front passenger suffered from a broken wrist, upper chest pain, and lower back pain as well as seat belt bruising. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the impound lot. The insurance company then towed the vehicle and deemed it totaled. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.

WHEN I DRIVE LONGER THAN 30 MINS MY VEHICLE WILL START LOSING POWER. WHEN I STOP AT A REDLIGHT OR INTERSECTION AND BEGAN TO ACCELERATE AGAIN IT WILL NOT GO. IT WILL SLOWLY START ROLLING AND THEN IT WILL JERK AND THE RPMS START JUMPING AND THEN IT WILL JUST TAKE OFF. I HAVE BEEN ALMOST HIT NUMEROUS TIMES, BUT YESTERDAY I WAS ALMOST T BONED WITH MY DAUGHTER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T ACCELERATE AT A REDLIGHT AND THE LIGHT CHANGED A CAR CAME THRU AND THANK GOD THEY GOT STOPPED BEFORE THEY HIT US!!!

SO IN BOTH OF THESE INSTANCES I WAS DRIVING ON A FULL TANK OF GAS AND GOING THE SPEED LIMIT. THE FIRST TIME I NOTICED THAT MY CAR WAS NOT ACCELERATING WAS WHEN I WENT OUT OF TOWN TWO MONTHS AGO. I WAS DRIVING THROUGH BUDA,TX FROM DALLAS ON THE HWY WHEN I NOTICED MY CAR WAS SLOWING DOWN IN SPEED AND DID NOT WANT TO ACCELERATE PASS 60MPH. LUCKILY, I WAS IN THE SLOW LANE AND WAS ABLE TO EXIT AND PARK MY CAR. I WAITED A FEW MINUTES BEFORE TAKING OFF AGAIN.IT TOOK A WHILE FOR THE CAR TO ACCELERATE AND PICK UP SPEED AGAIN ONCE I GOT BACK ON THE HWY (5 MINS). ON MY WAY BACK HOME FROM THAT SAME TRIP IT DID FINE. ANOTHER TIME IT HAPPENED AGAIN WAS THIS PAST WEEKEND WHEN I WAS ON MY WAY TO CANTON, TX. I HAD BEEN DRIVING A GOOD 45 MINS SOING 75 ON THE HWY. AS I APPROACHED THE STOP SIGN MY ROGUE DROVE FINE UNTIL I TURNED LEFT ON THE INTERSECTION AND MY CAR STARTED TO SLOW DOWN AND DID NOT WANT TO ACCELERATE PASS 10 MPH WHICH SCARED ME SINCE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. I HIT THE GAS PEDAL TWICE AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE OVER THE BRIDGE. DURING BOTH OF THESE INSTANCES I DID NOT GET A WARNING ON MY DASHBOARD OR ANY OTHER SIGNS OF INDICATION. NOW IM AFRAID TO DEIVE MY CAR WHILE I HAVE MY BABIES WITH ME AFRAID THAT IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN WHILE THEY ARE WITH ME.

CAR STALLS AS IF THE CAR IS NOT GETTING GAS. CONSTANT PRESSURE ON THE GAS PEDAL IS NEEDED TO PREVENT FROM STALLING AT STOPS. MANY TIMES THERE IS HESITATION WHEN DRIVING AS IF THE CAR IN NOT RECEIVING FUEL. HAD THE DEALER LOOK INTO ONCE AND THEY HAD NO IDEA THE CAUSE AND NOW IT IS HAPPENING AGAIN.

Driver Side door does not unlock.

The Drivetrain has had multiple issues since purchasing this vehicle. I have had to have the axle boot covers replaced multiple times - without any reason to cause the boots to tear or mess up. In addition the axle has had to be replaced multiple times. This is a very costly repair and doesn't last very long before it has to be replaced again. We are safe drivers and have no logical reason for this to occur on it's own. There have been multiple problems with the transmission during this same time. I feel that a recall should be issued for this vehicle and would appreciate any help with this vehicle problem.

I went to open the driver's side door after unlocking the car and the door handle came off in my hand. As a disabled veteran, I need to have constant access to opening my driver's side door without having to maneuver over the passenger seat or recline the seat back to try and open the door from the driver's side passenger door. My wife saw that other 2014 Nissan Rogues had a recall for the same reason. When I reached out to the dealer I purchased the car from, they said my car wasn't on the recall list and I would have to pay $300 for the part and $180 / hr. for labor to get it fixed. We have been in a heatwave this summer but when this happened, I was parked in the shade of a parking garage. There was no visible tampering around the handle indicating that someone was trying to break in. In addition to the driver's side door handle coming off, my wife noticed another recall related to 2014 Nissan Rogues that has happened with out car. The latch holding the hatch door on the rear of the vehicle has become loose and is easily moved. Though it has not separated from the base, there is the possibility of the latch coming undone and groceries or other items in the trunk area to fly out and cause accidents by drivers dodging items (groceries. school supplies, etc.) that tumble out of the car.

During heavy rain storms the internal gutter under the sunroof fills with rainwater and fails to drain out through the weep-hole drain tubes located in the corners. This backed up rainwater then spills into the vehicle, onto the visors and even onto the driver and front seat passnger's heads. It distracts the driver, runs down and soaks the headliner and posts, and it will sooner or later penetrate the dashboard electrical systems causing all kinds of short circuits and danger. In my case, the dealer, several years ago, cleared out the internal weep-hole drain tubes using compressed air. But it now continues to flood, especially during a sudden heavy rainstorm. (The drain tubes need to be enlarged, and the seal around the sunroof-glass need to be improved).

1.What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request?- battery terminals started leaking battery acids and bits of corrosive residues on electrical pigtails leading to other components. Ac compression / motor quit working. Yes is available forn inspection. 2.How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? - I'm not sure if battery acids are considered to be airborne toxins but you could smell aulfer almost like rotten eggs everytime I turned on the ac and then it stopped working. 3.Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? - I could not say for sure if it has or has not been. 4.Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? - currently not yet just bought the vehicle. Have so save more money to be able to afford a diagnostic/inspection of the issue. 5.Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? - no their was not other then the smell started around June 8th 2025 and component quit working June 10th 2025.

Sun visor mirror plastic retaining clips broke causing mirrors to dangle from wires. One of the wires broke and made contact with the other lead. This caused a short that melted the wires in the head liner and started a fire. The short did not trip a fuse and the only way to stop the short in the wire and resulting fire was to disconnect the car battery.

The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, there was an abnormal burning odor coming from underneath the driver's side of the vehicle. The battery was immediately replaced. The contact stated that while making a right turn, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was restarted and driven to the residence. On another occasion, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds with the accelerator pedal depressed, the vehicle started to lose motive power and failed to accelerate as intended. The air bags, brake, battery, and check engine warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and the contact was informed that the battery and starter relay needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 126,000.

Brought my car in awhile ago for a recall, water getting in wheel well, it was fixed. One week ago my power steering started to be unassisted and hard to drive. Made appointment with Nissan in Milford Ct. and it cost me 1200.00 to fix electrical from leak from sunroof that hasn’t worked for a great while, just wanted to know if it was solely my responsibility for electrical short causing my power steering to become unassisted.

The dealer was notified of the failure and provided an estimate for a diagnostic test. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not yet repaired. There is mold and water leak in the sunroof and the roof next to the windows. When it rains There is water leak in my car from where you put your sun glass. It drips on my gear sticks. My car was completely wet and its smell and molding in the sun rooftop. The water stains and mold has been there for quite some time and this morning I literally got into the car and water was dripping in the car, my seat was wet and other places we wet.

The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that there was mold and water damage odor inside the vehicle. The contact discovered that the front driver's side floorboard was significantly soaked. The contact stated that she placed towels on the floorboard to prevent water damage. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the driver's side floorboard was removed and replaced. The dealer advised the contact to purchase door seals for the front driver's side door to prevent water from leaking inside the vehicle. The contact installed the seals on the driver's side door; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 91,000.

Water is entering the vehicle thru a body seam that is causing the wire harness to corrode. These vehicles have had this problem since they rolled off the assembly line and Nissan knows this. On November 14, 2014 Nissan put out this service bulletin detailing how to diagnose and fix the Rogue that was brought in for service due to the carpet being wet on the driver and/or front passenger floor. It seems that when the vehicle was assembled, some body seams were not sealed correctly or not at all. In my opinion this is why the wire harness is getting wet causing it to corrode. Instead of recalling the vehicle for the real issue of water getting into the vehicle and fixing that problem, they are recalling the vehicle for the problem the water is causing. In my opinion the water entering the vehicle is the cause of the recall and should be addressed appropiately and not just by inspecting the wire harness for corrosion and applying their bandaid to the solution. The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while he had the rear liftgate open, the liftgate independently closed and struck him on the head. The contact stated he did not seek medical attention. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing an unknown component on the liftgate to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired but was pending repairs. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V219000 (Structure) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.

THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL AND THE CONTACT COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. NO WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT FIRE WAS COMING FROM THE FRONT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE UNDERNEATH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THE VEHICLE HAD LOST POWER BEFORE AND WAS TAKEN TO WOODMEN NISSAN, 6840 VINCENT DR, COLORADO SPRINGS, CO 80918, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED BECAUSE THE DEALER COULD NOT FIND A FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000.

MY 2014 NISSAN ROGUE SUDDENLY DECELERATES WHEN I'M DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. IT GOES FROM 60 OR 70 MPH TO 20 OR SO IN SECONDS. IT IS TERRIFYING. MY DEALER REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP A YEAR AND A HALF AGO, AND IT WAS BETTER. BUT IT IS NOW HAPPENING AGAIN. THE DEALER SAYS THERE IS NO RECORD OF A PROBLEM ON THE CAR'S COMPUTER AND WILL NOT DO ANYTHING. I NOW SEE THAT MANY NISSANS HAVE A SERIOUS TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AND SUSPECT THAT IS WHAT IS CAUSING THIS.

SEVERAL TIMES I HAVE HAD AN ISSUE WITH MY ROGUE NOT ACCELERATING AFTER I GET OFF THE HIGHWAY. EACH TIME I AM GETTING OFF THE HIGHWAY THAT HAS SPEEDS SET AT 75 MPH AND I AM STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AND NEED TO EITHER TURN LEFT OR GO STRAIGHT. TODAY I HAD SEVERAL CARS BEHIND ME AND THE TRUCK BEHIND ME ASSUMED I WAS ACCELERATING AND ALMOST HIT MY REAR END WHEN HE NOTICED MY CAR WAS NOT ACCELERATING. THERE IS NO WARNING AND NO TIME TO THINK ABOUT TURNING ON HAZARDS TO LET OTHERS KNOW MY CAR IS LIMPING ALONG. THEN ABOUT 30 SECONDS LATER IT GOES BACK TO NORMAL AND STARTS DRIVING. I AM LEFT SHAKING BECAUSE I ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT WITH THE NON ACCELERATION.

MY CAR WILL OFTEN STALL AFTER PRESSING THE BRAKE. I WILL LOSE CONTROL OVER MY SPEED, MEANING IT WILL ACCELERATE NO MATTER HOW HARD I PRESS ON THE GAS. My transmission failed. There was a recall on the transmission, that I am not sure I received. Nissan Consumer Affairs opened a case but will not assist me with the cost of the transmission. I have to pay 5621.00 to have a new transmission installed. Nissan admitted had a faulty part in the 2014-2017 Rogues - the CVT. The transmission was slipping and it could have led to an accident, but did not. The vehicle was inspected by the Nissan dealership and they are installing a new transmission. Is there anything you can do to assist me. Thanks

I took my Nissan rouge in September 2021 to a mechanic to check my car. I explained I was driving to From Tampa to Orlando in the i-4 and I could. Or accelerate, the car speed stayed at 40 mph speed , and not going more than that. I had to pull over because my car was almost wanting to shut off. Very scary situation. After my mechanic checked my vehicle, he advised me that my transmission was faulty and that I should not drive it far distance as I did. The worst part is that my Nissan never gave me any warning of the issue. My mechanic gave me a price of over $3000,which I could not afford. Now I have a car that has a bad transmission and no money to fix it.

Hi, I have issue reported from Nissan dealer for my Nissan Rogue 2014 model -first owner. It just did 56487 miles and I have done regular servicing maintenance for oil changes as per standards. Despite all this ,on (13th Aug 2022) the issue started I noticed lurching,jerk and stalls whenever I stop at intersection or comes to sudden halt with warning in dashboard. I have to put the gear to Park mode and switch on the car again and it starts with slight jerk and able to drive . as such there are no warning lights when car is started. Just happened 2-3 times and I had to let it at dealer for diagnostics on (15th Aug 2022) the dealer said my transmission is defective and has issues and out of warranty since they consider only 1st 7 yrs and I am at a loss to replace transmission and problem was reported for one more timing solenoid problem .i was told one of the 3 solenoid is also having problem. it happened even while i come at slow speeds and merge at Highway too. This is dangerous to drive when such things happen . I am not happy with the car hardly 7 yrs and coming to halt to give a big expense for such a brand car and puts safety of passengers on risk in just around 50K mileage range.

WHEN I GOT OFF AT THE NEXT EXIT THE CAR WOULD BARELY MOVE AFTER STOPPING AT THE STOP. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME MULTIPLE TIMES SINCE THEN. IT NOW HAPPENS IF I DRIVE THE CAR FOR LONGER THAN 25 MINUTES, LESS TIME IF I'M USING THE AC OR HEAT. When my daughter was driving down the interstate, with a 65 mph speed limit, the car started slowing down. It would not allow her to go any faster than 40 mph. She pulled over to let the engine cool some and continued to have the problem. When we consulted the Nissan dealer, they said it was a “safety mechanism” to keep the car from overheating. I certainly don’t see how it is safe to be forced to drive a speed limit too slow for the interstate. Why is this not recalled? I see there are many more complaints with the same issue.

I was driving on the highway on my way to work when the check engine light came on in my car. I was pressing my foot on the pedal and trying to accelerate but my car wasn't gaining any speed. It got to the point where I started to lose speed and had to pull over on the side of the highway. When i was pressing on the pedal i heard a pumping like sound but the rpms were not going up at all and the car wasn't moving. Going in reverse did not work either. I waited around 20 minutes for the car to cool down and I was then able to drive at low speed to work. No one but me has looked at the car so far.

The contact's deceased mother owned a 2014 Nissan Rogue that was inherited by his son. The contact stated that the vehicle had been parked in his son's driveway in the rain. The contact stated that his son later noticed that the driver's side floorboard was filled with water. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V024000 (Electrical System); however, the failure reoccurred while the vehicle was parked in the rain. The contact became aware of Nissan Technical Service Bulletin Number: NTB14-105A. The contact provided the TSB document to the dealer, who then repaired the vehicle based on the TSB instructions. The dealer discovered that the body sealing along the fire wall, below the driver's side windshield and behind the fender liners was not sealed, allowing water to leak onto the driver's side floorboard. The dealer resealed the body seal; however, upon picking up the vehicle from the dealer's parking lot, the contact noticed that the failure had reoccurred. The dealer removed the driver's seat and carpet and verified that there was no other potential water leak source. The dealer then reinstalled the seat and carpet after they had dried; however, the failure persisted. The dealer then informed the contact that they could not repair the vehicle as they did not have a master technician. The vehicle was taken back to the residence. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,500.

HAD MY MECHANIC REPLACE FRONT END SUSPENSION OUT OF MY POCKET WHEN NISSAN IS WELL AWARE OF THIS ISSUE WITH THIS YEAR VEHICLE.

TAIL LIGHTS ON DRIVERS SIDE STOPPED WORKING. LIGHT BULBS WERE REPLACED BUT THIS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. SIGNAL LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT CONTINUE TO WORK BUT NO TAIL LIGHTS. NISSAN DEALERSHIP IS CURRENTLY TRYING TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM BUT ARE HAVING TROUBLE LOCATING THE CAUSE. THEY TELL ME THEY ARE IN CONTACT WITH NISSAN TECHNICIANS VIA E-MAIL AND EXPECT THAT THEY WILL HAVE TO REPLACE THE WIRING HARNESS. THE CAR IS 3 1/2 YEARS OLD AND HAS JUST UNDER 42000 MILES. THE CAR HAS BEEN TO THE NISSAN SERVICE CENTER NUMEROUS TIMES TO ADJUST OTHER RECALL ISSUES AND FOUR TIMES TO FIX THE AIR CONDITIONER. I CAN ONLY ASSUME THAT ANY ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS THE CAR HAS COULD ONLY COME FROM DEFECT OR FROM PREVIOUS REPAIRS DONE BY THE SERVICE DEPT. I BELIEVE I HAVE A REASONABLE EXPECTATION THAT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IN ANY NEW CAR SHOULD CERTAINLY LAST LONGER THAN 3 1/2 YEARS.

There is a water leak on the driver side floor and the body shop can figure out where it's coming from. My vehicle also had issues with the latch due to corrosion. The body shop was able to fix that issue. My navigation system and dash turns off and on as I am driving. The bodyshop can't find any issues with that either. Clear something is wrong with it.

THE FACTORY-INSTALLED NAVIGATION SYSTEM HAS SEVERAL ISSUES THAT MAKE IT UNUSABLE. THESE ISSUES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: THE ENTIRE NAVIGATION SYSTEM WILL RANDOMLY RESTART SEVERAL TIMES WHILE USING IT, ERASING ALL TRIP DATA; THE SCREEN WILL FREEZE WHEN TRYING TO USE IT, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE VOLUME, TURN OFF THE UNIT, OR DO ANYTHING. BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND THEY DENIED THAT THE UNIT HAD ANY ISSUES. WHAT'S WORSE IS THAT THERE ARE NO AVAILABLE NAVIGATION OR SOFTWARE UPDATES FOR THE 2014 NISSAN ROUGE, AND NISSAN HAS NO INTENTIONS ON UPGRADING ANYTHING. THE NAVIGATION UPDATE SITE SAYS THERE ARE NO UPDATES AVAILABLE FOR THE 2014-15 NISSAN ROGUES, BUT THERE ARE SEVERAL UPDATES AVAILABLE FOR 2016 AND NEWER MODELS. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE, AND HAS CAUSED SEVERAL DISTRACTING ISSUES WHILE DRIVING OR TRYING TO NAVIGATE USING THE BUILT-IN NAVIGATION THAT I PAID A PREMIUM FOR. I HAVE QTY 2, 2014 NISSAN ROGUES, BOTH HAVE THE $1420 NAVIGATION SYSTEM AND NEITHER OF THEM WORK. THE DIRECTIONS ARE NOT ACCURATE AND CAN BE OFF BY MILES, OR JUST OUT OF THE AREA ALTOGETHER. IT WILL NOT DISPLAY SUB STREETS AND JUST TELLS YOU TO GET TO A MAIN ROAD. THE NAV, RADIO AND CONTROL MODULE REBOOTS OFTEN. I HAVE HAD THE DEALER LOOK AT IT AND IN ONE OF THEM THEY UPGRADED THE MAPS DATA FILE, THIS DID NOT HELP. I DO NOT USE THE NAVIGATION AT ALL AND HAVE RESORTED TO MY OLD GARMIN, WINDSHIELD MOUNT, WHICH WORKS PERFECTLY. NISSAN SHOULD HAVE JUST EMBEDDED A GARMIN IN THEIR DASH. The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 80 mph, the vehicle started stalling with the accelerator pedal depressed. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled over and restarted the vehicle however, the vehicle failed to accelerate above 40 mph. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer and was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and agreed to pay half of the cost for a new transmission. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.

TOOK MY 2014 NISSAN ROGUE TO NISSAN DEALER, BECAUSE THE CAR WAS SLIPPING AND LOSING RPMS. DEALER TOLD ME THAT THE RADIATOR HAD FAILED INTERNALLY CAUSING TRANSMISSION ISSUE. THEY ARE SAYING THAT I NEED TO REPLACE THE RADIATOR, HOSES SOME OTHER STUFF AND THE TRANSMISSION. THEY ESTIMATED IT AT THIS TIME AT $6000. I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK 40 MINUTES FROM MY HOUSE AND HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE CAR ONLY HAS 75,000 MILES ON IT.

This vehicle when driven in traffic or at a stop and go area will not accelerate at normal speed. The RPM goes up and the vehicle will not go. However when we’ve taken it to a mechanic or Nissan there is no issue with the transmission and when we turn the car off and the turn it back on the vehicle continues to work perfectly fine. No codes come up on the mechanic reading device and nothing shows as being wrong with the vehicle which leads me to believe it may be a recall. This is not only happening with my Nissan Rogue however it is happened in all Nissan Vehicles in general. I ask that you please look into this issue and figure out if it is a manufacturer malfunction.

WHILE DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AT A GREEN LIGHT MY VEHICLE SHUT DOWN ... IN DRIVE. I PLACED MY FOOT ON THE BREAK TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK NO HAZARD LIGHTS CAME ON. I TURNED THE CAR OFF COMPLETELY PLACED MY FOOT ON THE BREAK AND STARTED THE CAR UP AND PROCEEDED TO PLACE THE CAR IN DRIVE ONCE IN DRIVE THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN LEAVING ALL LIGHTS ON WITH NO HAZARD LIGHTS. I STARTED THE CAR UP AGAIN PLACED THE CAR IN REVERSE THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN ONCE AGAIN IN REVERSE I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BREAK TO SHIFT BACK INTO PARK. I CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT NO MATTER WHAT GEAR I SHIFT TO THE VEHICLE SHUTS DOWN IN GEAR NOT MOVING

SINCE THANKSGIVING DAY, 2017, MY CAR HAS HAD 8 INSTANCES WHERE IS WILL NOT ON THE FIRST TRY. IT TAKES APPROXIMATELY 8 - 10 TRIES TO GET IT STARTED AND THEN IT DRIVES FINE. THE BRAKE PEDAL ALSO DOES NOT LIKE TO PRESS DOWN WHEN I AM PUSHING THE "START" BUTTON. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO COON RAPIDS NISSAN AND KLINE NISSAN IN MINNESOTA AND BOTH COMPANIES TELL ME THAT IF THEY CAN'T REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM THEY CAN'T INVESTIGATE AND FIX IT. I AM TOLD TO BRING THE CAR IN WHEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN SO THEY CAN HOOK IT UP TO DIAGNOSTICS. I DID THAT THE TWO OIL CHANGES AGO AND NOTHING CAME UP ON DIAGNOSTICS. THIS IS EITHER AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM OR A FUEL PROBLEM. THIS ISSUE IS NOT CAUSED BY WEATHER. IT HAS HAPPENED DURING WARM, SUNNY DAYS; COLD SNOWY AND WET AND RAINY DAYS. THE CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN FOR A PERIOD OF TIME, IT'S PARKED FOR A FEW HOURS, AND THEN IT JUST WON'T START. THE MECHANICS FOR STARTING THE CARE ARE VERY LOUD, THE BRAKE PEDAL WON'T PUSH DOWN AND IT JUST WON'T TURN OVER AND START. SO FAR IT HAS STARTED AFTER 8 - 10 ATTEMPTS.

The first recall that my VIN number was excluded from was the Clock Spring . The second recall is the OCS (Occupant Classified System). Both have issues pertaining to airbag safety.

THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WOULD NOT RECLINE, AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP I WAS TOLD THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT HAD DISTORTED BOLTS AND THE WIRES THAT WERE UNDER THE FRONT EAT WERE NOT PLACED CORRECTLY. THESE WIRES WERE FOR THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG THEREFORE; THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG WOULD NOT WORK IF AN ACCIDENT HAS OCCURRED.

JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR 10/19/2017. WHILE DRIVING THE SIDE MIRRORS ' BLOCKS VISIBILITY OF ONOMING CARS ON DRIVER SIDE AND VIEW OF ROAD ON PASSENGER SIDE. WHEN LEAVING MY APARTMENT COMPLEX, I CONTINUOSLY RUN UP ON THE CURB ON THE DRIVER SIDE OR ONTO THE SIDEWALK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, DUE TO INABILITY TO SEE PAST THE MIRROR. THIS INABILITY TO SEE CAUSES ME TO MAKE RIGHT TURNS TOO WIDE AND A NEAR ACCIDENT DUE TO INABILITY TO SEE ONCOMING CAR AT A CERTTAIN ANGLE. ON OCTOBER 29TH MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND MY VEHICLE HAS QUICKLY BEGAN TO BUCK AND FEEL LIKE IT IS GOING TO STALL. SO I PUT MY HAZARDS ON, TOOK THE CLOSEST EXIT, AND LET MY CAR REST FOR ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES. I GOT BACK ON THE FREEWAY AFTER RESTING AND NOT A MINUTE OR TWO LATER AND THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED. I PUT MY HAZARDS BACK ON AND JUST PULLED OFF ON THE SHOULDER, LETTING MY CAR REST AGAIN FOR ANOTHER 5-10 MINUTES. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON ANDI HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE AND TURN OFF MY CAR. I CALLED FOR A TOW TRUCK USING MY INSURANCE COMPANY., BUT AFTER TURNING OFF THE CAR FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES, IT WAS DRIVEABLE AGAIN. WHEN I MAKE A RIGHT TURN I CANNOT SEE THE FRONT RIGHT CORNER, BECAUSE OF THE RIGHT SIDE MIRROR COMPLETELY BLOCKING THE VIEW OF RIGHT CORNER OBJECT. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE PEDESTRIANS ON THE SIDE. MOST OF THE VEHICLES HAVE A SMALL GLASS WINDOW BY THE MIRROR OR THERE IS A GAP BETWEEN THE VEHICLE'S BODY AND THE MIRROR. 2014 Nissan Rogue 103,600 miles, was running errands on my lunch break, made first stop and as I was pulling forward to a stop sign, vehicle lurched forward, hard jerk like motion, felt as if I was rear ended. Drove vehicle a mile further, stopped the vehicle turned off the engine went into a store, upon return vehicle started immediately, however upon putting the vehicle in drive or reverse, vehicle immediately stalled. Attempted same action a few times, same result. Check engine light would illuminate when vehicle would stall. No prior warnings, no prior issues. Vehicle towed to dealer, dealer advises torque converter issue, and a new transmission will be needed. Thank you Nissan, after years of battery drain issues and replacing the battery several times in few years & no resolve to that, this is what I get, can't say I'm surprised. Lets not forget the 2016 recall for the fuel pump issue that left me in my vehicle stalled out several times in rush hour traffic, unable to move the vehicle, & that was after the recall was "taken care of". Have read many horror stories now, and I'm convinced Nissan is selling junk to everyone, and they know it. The class actions are doing nothing to keep them from selling faulty vehicles. They were forced to stand behind their product for up to 120K miles up to year 2013 but after 2013 they're forced into a not so generous 84K miles extension. They claim their vehicles last up to 180K miles, but won't stand behind that claim. BOGUS! Will never buy another Nissan again!

Please note that I attempted to report this to Nissan today, but the first call I was hung up on after describing why I was calling and the second call went unanswered. At some point between 01/27/2022 and 01/31/2022, it was reported to me that my vehicle was destroyed by fire. My VIN was verified to be a part of the recent recall regarding salt water entering the driver side floor panel and causing electrical corrosion that could potentially result in fire. I did experience my driver floor board becoming wet, intermittently, after driving in rainy or wet road conditions as was described in the recent recall. The car has been completely destroyed by fire. THE MANUAL ALSO STATED THAT IT WAS OKAY TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AT 45 MPH, WHEN I STARTED THE VEHICLE AGAIN, ANOTHER ERROR MESSAGE CAME ON WHEN I TRIED TO GO, IT STATED "CHASSIS SYSTEM ERROR". SINCE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE IN THE SUMMER OF 2016, I HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUES. THE VEHICLE, AFTER DRIVING IT FOR VARIOUS LENGTHS OF TIME, SLOWS AND APPEARS TO LOSE POWER. WHEN THE ACCELERATOR IS PRESSED, THE VEHICLE DOES NOTHING. IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO COAST BUT WILL NOT INCREASE IN SPEED. IT HAS SLOWED DOWN TO 45 MPH ON A BUSY INTERSTATE (WITH A SPEED LIMIT OF 75 MPH) BEFORE AND WILL ONLY INCREASE IN SPEED AFTER A DECLINE IN ELEVATION (PROBABLY DUE TO MOMENTUM). THE CAR WILL NOT INCREASE SPEED EVEN IF THE OVERDRIVE IS TURNED OFF. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WILL BE PRESSED TO THE MAXIMUM AND THE CAR WILL NOT INCREASE IN SPEED. THE REVOLUTIONS PER MINUTE (RPMS), WILL NOT INCREASE EITHER WHEN THE ACCELERATOR IS PRESSED. ALL THIS HAS OCCURRED ON HIGHWAYS WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT IS INCREASED AND AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR ABOUT AN HOUR (SOMETIMES AFTER LONGER). WHEN I TAKE THE CAR OFF A HIGHWAY AND COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, THERE IS A DELAY ONCE I TRY TO ACCELERATE AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WILL MOVE SLOWLY AFTER A FEW SECONDS OF PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR AND THEN INCREASES SPEED VERY QUICKLY. WHEN DRIVING ON A BUSY INTERSTATE, THIS BECOMES A SAFETY CONCERN. FUEL PUMP FAILED LEADING TO STALL ON BUSY INTERSTATE, CREATING A SAFETY RISK FOR 3 PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE. NISSAN FAILED TO NOTIFY ME AHEAD OF TIME THAT THE FUEL PUMP FAILURE WAS UNDER ACTIVE RECALL - I COULD HAVE HAD IT REPAIRED AHEAD OF TIME. AS IT TURNED OUT, THE STALL OCCURRED OVER 375 MILES FROM MY HOME, AND FORCED ME TO OVERNIGHT IN MONROE LA, INCLUDING HOTEL AND RENTAL CAR COSTS - AS I HAD TO ABANDON MY CAR THERE WHILE THEY WAITED TO OBTAIN A REPLACEMENT FUEL PUMP. NISSAN COULD HAVE ALERT ME AND I COULD HAVE PROACTIVELY REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP, BUT THEY DID NOT DESPITE MY USING THE NISSAN DEALER FOR ROUTINE OIL CHANGES. In the past, I complained many times that the car was flooded and the driver's seat was shaking. After multiple inspections at the maintenance department of Nissan dealers, the cause of the problem is not uniform, and the service quality is extremely poor. It has not been solved until now, because water often enters the car and the glass produces fog that affects the vision. I am facing danger every day when I drive. This issue is with my 2014 Nissan Rogue that fell under the manufacturer issued recall R21B9 (NHTSA Recall 22V-024). I understand that Nissan has now claimed that this recall has been resolved, but their resolution has NOT fixed the damage done to my car due to the recall. The R21B9 recall states ... "In affected vehicles, if water and salt collect in the driver's side foot well, it may wick up the dash side harness tape and enter the connector. If this occurs, the dash side harness connector may corrode. If the connector becomes corroded, electrical current may continue to flow between the connector terminals, potentially causing issues such as driver's power window or power seat inoperative, All-Wheel Drive (AWD) warning light ON, battery discharge, and/or thermal damage to the connector. In rare cases, the corrosion could potentially lead to a fire, which may increase risk of injury." I brought my 2014 Nissan Rogue to a Nissan service center in April of '22 when I started smelling natural gas coming from my car. The service center diagnosed and confirmed that this natural gas smell was due to recall R21B9. The Nissan service center returned my car to me in October of '22 after the recall resolution was completed, however, my car is still smelling of natural gas, and I cannot continue to drive this car with my family breathing in this toxic odor smell. The Nissan service center returned my car and said the issue was "fixed" and there was nothing else they could do to my car to help with the smell. They did confirm that my car still smelled of natural gas. I opened a case through Nissan corporate and they referred me back to the Nissan service center. I got the car interior detailed and the engine cleaned; but it is still has a toxic odor smell. Nissan may have fixed the mechanical issue related to the recall, but the natural gas / toxic odor smell remains, and this is a health risk to me and my family. Again, Nissan confirmed this issue came from their recall.

I'm reaching out in hopes of getting an answer on when the remedy for the recall number R21B9 for 2014 Nissan rogue. My car has been at the Nissan dealership for many days with every issue this recall represents. Water wicking up in the harness and connectors, it's eroded multiple electrical parts. Power steering, airbag connectors have been negatively affected etc. I'm being quoted an outrageous amount. Since I'm in need of a car, I told them to start with the repairs, although I don't have any confirmation of what Nissan will do to compensate me or when... I can provide you with the documents and proof that my car is dangerous and malfunctioning due to this recall, directly from the Nissan dealer. Please respond with how to proceed.

The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated the vehicle was taken to a local Pep Boys for oil and oil filter change. The contact stated upon picking up the vehicle and driving 40 MPH, the vehicle decelerated inadvertently and stalled. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and continued driving however, the failure reoccurred increasingly while driving. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled and failed to restart after several attempts. The vehicle was towed to another local Pep Boys where it was diagnosed that there was corrosion around the battery and the uncleaned engine oil caused the mechanical failure. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.

air bag horn cruise control-no major accident...got air condition fixed and shortly after my horn stopped working but it works if my panic button is pushed. Horn Doesn't work when I lock the car. The cruise control and bluetooth stopped working and airbag light is on one after the other. I was told it was a clockspring and it's 1000 dollars to replace and is a 2.00 part . Vehicle isn't worth anything with an airbag light on. Then the bushings are shot and control arm cost 2500 to replace. I thought nissans were good cars use to have a 1989 nissan truck and had four maxima's, ran forever. The dealer offered me 4000 for it(not knowing the airbag light is on and bushings are bad) but blue book value is like 6-8000 and if you try to buy one it's 15000 for used one. Only has 130000 miles on it should last longer especially the control arm. Not to mention i would need an alignment after bushings are done getting close to 4000 in repairs. Why isn't my model included in the airbag repair? Why does nissan put cheap bushings on their cars? Why don't they sell just the bushings ? Rip off should last another 100000 at least. Never buying another Nissan... Sad part is the car runs great except suspension, not worth repairing for 4000.

Vehicle while on expressway would loose power on and off. This cause for serious accident conditions. Transmission yellow warning light appeared on next day. Had vehicle towed to dealership and they confirmed there was an issue found extreme hesitstion entering gear or changing gear. From multiple codes P0841 fluided press sen/sw A. P17F0 CVT Judder. Also, found front sway bar link loose and replaced. And, Tie rods had to be replaced also because of being loose. Previously I also had to have the control arms replace twice. This is unacceptable. Beside that my vehicle was in shop from 8/9/2021 thru 8/26/202. without even to have rental car provided. except for 2 days.

TRANSMISSION COOLER WAS REPLACED THE WEEK 6/05/2017 BY CARRIAGE NISSAN OF GAINESVILLE, GA AND ON 6/16/2017 THE NISSAN ROGUE WAS LOSING POWER ON THE DRIVE BACK FROM ATLANTA(APPROX.. 3 HOUR DRIVE). ROGUE WAS TAKEN TO FENTON NISSAN IN KNOXVILLE, TN AND NISSAN AGREED TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION BUT WOULD NOT PAY FOR THE TRANSMISSION COOLER. ROGUE WAS PICKED UP FROM FENTON NISSAN ON 7/3/2017 AND ON 7/5/2017 THE ROGUE LOST POWER AND THE TRANSMISSION STOPPED WORKING AND MY WIFE WAS STRANDED 40 MILES FROM HOME. ROGUE WAS TOWED TO FENTON NISSAN AND UPON INVESTIGATION FOUND THAT AN UNAUTHORIZED PART WAS USED IN THE TRANSMISSION COOLER BY CARRIAGE NISSAN AND ALL THE TRANSMISSION FLUID HAD LEAKED OUT. A NEW TRANSMISSION COOLER WAS INSTALLED FREE OF CHARGE.(WE PAID $680 FOR THE FIRST DEFECTIVE COOLER) DURING THE TIME THAT THE ROGUE WAS AT FENTON NISSAN COMPUTER DIAGNOSTICS TEST WAS PERFORMED PRIOR TO RELEASING THE ROGUE TO US AND NO CODES SHOWED UP. LESS THAN A WEEK LATER THE ROGUE STARTING ACTING UP AND ONCE AGAIN TOOK IT BACK TO FENTON NISSAN AND WAS INFORMED IT WOULD COST $3000+ TO REPLACE THE ELECTRICAL HARNESS, NISSAN HAS AGREED TO PAY 50% OF THE COST. I FEEL THAT UNAUTHORIZED PART CAUSED UNDUE STRESS NOT ONLY ON THE TRANSMISSION COOLER, TRANSMISSION, AND ENGINE BUT ALSO THE ELECTRICAL HARNESS AS A RESULT OF ALL THE POWER SURGES. THERE HAVE BEEN OVER 468,000 RECALLS FOR NISSAN FOR ELECTRICAL HARNESS FAILURE FROM 2008-2013 AND ALSO SOME 2014 NISSAN ROGUES. MY ROGUE VIN NUMBER DOESN'T SHOW UP ON THE RECALL LIST BUT IT SAFE TO ASSUME THAT SINCE THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FROM 2008-2013 AND SOME OF 2014 THEN WHY COULDN'T EFFECT MY VEHICLE.

WELL FIRST OFF THE VIN # ON MY ROGUE IS FOR AN AWD AND MINE IS A FWD?? THE SEAT BELTS IN THE BACK SEAT LOCK AND ARE HARD TO RELEASE WHEN TRYING TO BUCKLE. WORRIES ME THAT THEY AREN'T GOING TO DO WHAT THEY NEED TO IN AN ACCIDENT. THE STEERING WHEEL POPS WHEN TURNING RIGHT OR LEFT. I HAVE ALREADY PAID $100 FOR THEM TO LUBE AND CLEAN THE SEAL GOING INTO THE FIREWALL. THIS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM AND IT'S GETTING WORSE. HAD TO HAVE 2 ALIGNMENTS WITHIN 4 MONTHS. NO ROUGH ROADS AMD SERVICE DEPT COULD NOT EXPLAIN WHY. BRAKES AND ROTORS WEAR QUICKLY. TRANSMISSION WHINES WHEN GOING DOWN OR UP A HILL. I LOVE MY VEHICLE BUT THE ISSUES I HAVE MAKE ME RETHINK EVER BUYING ANOTHER NISSAN. IF THERE ARE ISSUES THEY NEED TO BE ADDRESSED.

PASSENGER AIR BAG IS NOT READING ADULTS. DEALERSHIP HAS FIXED ONCE, WAS INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT, DID ENOUGH DAMAGE TO DAMAGE RADIATOR, AND AIRBAGS DID NOT GO OFF. I HAD A 14 YEAR OLD IN THE FRONT SEAT. MY PASSENGER AIR BAG IS ONCE AGAIN NOT READING. THIS WAS MY MOST RECENT INCIDENT WITH MY VEHICLE. I WAS MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN, WHEN ACCELERATING MY VEHICLE SEEMED HESITANT AND MOMENTARILY STALLED WITHING MY TURN. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES, WHILE TRYING TO ACCELERATE. MY CAR HAD BEEN WARM DURING EACH TIME. MY TRANSMISSION HAS ALREADY STARTED SLIPPING, I WAS NOTIFIED THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE FOR THE TRANSMISSION. MY BACK SEATS SEEM TO VIBRATE. THEY VIBRATE SO MUCH, THEY MOVE SIDE TO SIDE AT HIGH SPEEDS ON THE HIGHWAY. (70 MPH) THIS IS THE LEGAL SPEED IN MY AREA. 2014 NISSAN ROGUE SV 61,868 MILES WITH RECURRING ACCELERATION ISSUES. STARTED ABOUT ONE YEAR AGO WIFE CALLED AND SAID THAT VEHICLE WAS MAKING LOUD REVVING SOUND BUT NOT MOVING OR BARELY MOVING WHILE STEPPING ON GAS. SHE STATED CAR WAS STALLING OUT AT INTERSECTION OR WHILE IN MOVING TRAFFIC. NOT TURNING OFF BUT NOT MOVING WHILE STEPPING ON GAS. SHE PARK CAR AT WORK AND DROVE HOME WITH NO PROBLEM. SEVERAL MONTHS AGO SAME THING NO OR POOR ACCELERATION WHILE STEPPING ON GAS WHILE AT INTERSECTIONS OR IN MOVING TRAFFIC. I PICKED IT UP FROM WORK AND DRIVE HOME WITH NO PROBLEM. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON SEVERAL ADDITION DAYS BUT NOT HAS BAD. VEHICLE SHAKES AND MAKES REVVING NOISES WHILE DRIVING. FAST FORWARD TO TODAY WIFE CALLS SAYS SHE IS STUCK ON HIGHWAY. STATED THAT VEHICLE HAD NO ACCELERATION AND SHE WAS BARLEY ABLE TO GET IT INTO EMERGENCY LANE BEFORE IT WOULDN'T MOVE AT ALL. CHASSIS CONTROL SYSTEM ERROR MESSAGE APPEARED ON DASH DISPLAY ALONG WITH OTHER LIGHTS LIKE ENGINE LIGHT. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO NISSAN DEALER FOR INSPECTION. BEGINNING TO THINK I PURCHASED A PIECE OF JUNK. AFTER READING SEVERAL POST REGARDING SIMILAR ISSUE AND NO RESOLVE FROM NISSAN I AM A LITTLE WORRIED. NOT ONLY IS THIS A DANGEROUS SAFETY ISSUE BUT WILL PROBABLY BE A HUGE EXPENSE TO CORRECT IF NISSAN DOES NOT HELP OUT. VEHICLE IS JUST ABOVE 60,000 POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. I PREVIOUSLY PUT A COMPLAINT IN, NO ONE CONTACTED ME. I WAS TOLD BY NISSAN REPRESENTATIVE THEY WILL NOT COVER THE PROBLEM (06/04/2016). I'VE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO TWO OTHER NISSAN DEALERS AND THEY STATED THERE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THE CAR, BUT, WERE I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE AT TOLD ME I WAS HEAVY ON THE GAS, THAT IF THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY CAR PARTS, THE NUMBER STAMPED TO THAT PART, WOULD OF FLAGGED MY CAR. WHAT NONSENSE. WELL, HERE'S THE PICTURES THAT I'M UPLOADING. THE FUEL TANK DIDN'T EVEN COME ON EVEN AT 1 MILE LEFT TO GAS STATION. LIKE I SAID I BOUGHT MY VEHICLE IN CONCORD, NC. PURCHASED 2014 ROGUE SELECT IN CONCORD, NC, JULY 2014. VEHICLE WOULDN'T START, ABOUT 4 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASED, USED JUMPERS TO GET STARTED AT HOME. THEN ANOTHER TIME I HAD TO USE JUMPER CABLE TO GET IT STARTED, AFTER I LEFT WALMART. HAD WALMART CAR DEPT. TO CHECK MY VEHICLE. I HAD A NEIGHBOR LOOK AT IT, PROBLEM WAS PROBABLY FUEL LINE. I FILL TANK UP, AND WILL ONLY DISPLAY BETWEEN 100-180 MILES, BEFORE HAVING TO REFUEL. BUT, SHOWS THAT THE TANK IS FILLED. NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER, REGARDLESS THAT I MOVED. SAD THAT I NEVER RECEIVED A NOTICE REGARDLESS THAT I MOVED, NO EXCUSE. AT ALL. IF THEY CAN SEND ME EMAILS A LOT, THEN I EXPECT I NOTICE. COME ON NISSAN, DO YOUR PART AND ACKNOWLEDGE OUR VEHICLES. I PURCHASED MY 2014 ROGUE FROM BATES NISSAN IN KILLEEN, TX ON 9/4/14 AND FROM THE START ON THE FULL TANK OF GAS GIVEN TO ME WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, THE ENGINE WOULD STALL AT STOP LIGHTS/STOP SIGNS AND GOING AROUND CORNERS. WHEN I CALLED THE BATES NISSAN SERVICE DEPARTMENT, THEY TOLD ME THAT I WAS USING THE WRONG TYPE OF GAS, THAT I NEEDED TO USE PREMIUM. WE THEN STARTED BRINGING IT TO THE NEXT CLOSEST DEALERSHIP, GARLYN SHELTON NISSAN IN TEMPLE, TX. WE HAVE BROUGHT IT THERE A TOTAL OF FIVE TIMES NOW, EVEN LEAVING IT OVERNIGHT SEVERAL TIMES. THEY SAY THAT THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE THE VEHICLE STALLING WHILE IT IS THERE AND THEREFORE CAN DO NOTHING. I PROVIDED THEM WITH CODES THAT I HAD MY STEPFATHER PULL OFF THE VEHICLE AFTER IT STALLED IN MY PARENTS DRIVEWAY, BUT NISSAN SAID THAT THEY CANNOT USE THOSE. THE ONLY OPTION THAT THEY GIVE ME IS TO LEAVE THE VEHICLE WHERE IT IS WHEN IT STALLS AND HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WITHOUT RESTARTING IT SO THEY CAN READ THE CODES THAT WAY. THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE IT IS UNSAFE FOR ME TO LEAVE MY VEHICLE IN THE MIDDLE OF VERY BUSY CITY STREETS UNTIL A TOW TRUCK CAN COME. IT NEVER STALLS JUST SITTING SOMEWHERE CONVENIENT. NISSAN DID ALLOW SOME TESTING TO BE DONE THIS TIME, BUT GAVE ME THE VEHICLE BACK SAYING THAT EVERYTHING WAS FINE.

I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT 45 MPH, WHEN THE STIRRING WHEEL AND BREAKS LOCKED AND THE VEHICLE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF RUSH DURING LARGE AMOUNTS OF TRAFFIC. WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE IN THE MORNING, THERE WAS A CHASSIS CONTROL SYSTEM ERROR. WHEN TRYING TO DRIVE, THE ACCELERATOR IS NOT VERY RESPONSIVE AND IT IS LIKE THE ENGINE IS BEING HELD BACK. ONCE DRIVEN A BIT, THEN OTHER ERRORS BEGIN TO COME UP REGARDING AWD MALFUNCTION, AND ALL THE COLLISION AND BLIND SPOT DISPLAYS ARE ILLUMINATED IN ERROR. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER ONCE AND THEY RESET THE COMPUTER AND REPLACED A GROUND WIRE. A FEW DAYS LATER IT HAPPENED AGAIN. TOOK VEHICLE BACK TO DEALER AND THEY KEPT IT FOR OVER TWO WEEKS AND REPLACED THE ABS MODULE. HAD THE VEHICLE BACK ABOUT A WEEK AND IT IS NOW DOING IT AGAIN. VEHICLE IS OVER 36K MILES AND WAS WHEN DEALERSHIP FIRST WORKED ON IT. NOW THAT IS HAS HAPPENED A THIRD TIME, THE DEALERSHIP IS SAYING IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. THIS ERROR AFFECTS BEING ABLE TO DRIVE THIS CAR SAFELY AND NISSAN NEEDS TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS GOING ON.

I HAD A SEVERE ACCIDENT WITH MY 2014 NISSAN ROGUE AWD WHICH ALMOST KILLED ME AND MY ENTIRE FAMILY. IT WAS A MIRACLE THAT WE ARE ALIVE. HOWEVER MY WIFE HAS SOME INJURY ON THE NECK....UPDATED 10/20/14 *BF ON 9/28 EARLY MORNING, WE WERE DRIVING (IN MIDDLE LANE) ON FREEWAY (I-5 - SOUTHBOUND) AT A NORMAL SPEED AND ALL OF SUDDEN I HEARD A BIG SOUND IN THE FRONT OF THE CAR. I WAS ALERT BUT BEFORE I COULD REACT, THE NEXT MOMENT MY CAR ROLLED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND THEN UPSIDE DOWN (ON THE FRONT HOOD AND FRONT PART OF THE ROOF) AND GOT DRAGGED AND AT THE SAME TIME TURNED. FINALLY THE BACK OF MY CAR HIT THE CURB WITH FULL FORCE AND THEN IT RESTED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE (BETWEEN EXIT 109 AND 108) BUT NOW IT WAS FACING NORTHBOUND. I BROKE THE WINDSHIELD TO COME OUT AND WITH THE HELP FROM PASSERSBY; I COULD SAFELY BRING MY WIFE AND 3 YEAR OLD OUT OF THE CAR. ALL THESE HAPPENED SO QUICKLY BUT I REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED AS I DID NOT BLACKOUT. NEITHER MY CAR HIT ANY OTHER CAR NOR DID ANYTHING HIT MY CAR. AND LUCKILY THERE WAS NO TRUCK OR CAR FOLLOWING US. IT'S A BRAND NEW 2014 NISSAN ROGUE WHICH I BOUGHT IN JAN 2014. I STILL CANNOT UNDERSTAND HOW COME SUCH A SERIOUS FAILURE COULD OCCUR. THE VEHICLE IS NOW TOTALED AND I HAVE LOGGED A COMPLAINT WITH NISSAN BUT I AM STILL WAITING FOR A REPLY. OPERATOR ENGAGED IN LOW SPEED PARKING MANEUVER. CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED, JUMPED CURB AND STRUCK TREE. DRIVER SLIGHTLY INJURED LEFT WRIST REQUIRING X-RAYS. NO BONES FRACTURED. I ORDERED READING OF EDR DATA. WAS FIRST TOLD BY DEALERSHIP THAT NO EDR WAS INSTALLED IN MY VEHICLE EVEN THOUGH THE MANUAL ISSUED WITH THE VEHICLE CLEARLY STATED THERE WAS. NISSAN NORTH AMERICA SENT TECHNICIAN TO EXTRACT DATA. BY THE TIME IT WAS DONE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL HARNESS HAD BEEN REMOVED AND REPLACED. REPRESENTATIVE OF NISSAN NORTH AMERICA CLAIMED DATA WAS EXTRACTED AND THAT THEIR INTERPRETATION OF THE DATA INDICATED NO CULPABILITY ON THEIR PART FOR ACCIDENT. REFUSED TO SHARE ACTUAL DATA WITH ME SINCE FLORIDA HAS NO LEGISLATION DEALING WITH OWNERSHIP OF SUCH DATA. I CONSIDER THEIR INTERPRETATION TO BE INCONCLUSIVE SINCE I HAVE WAY OF KNOWING THE ALL OF THE ELEMENTS REQUIRED BY NHTSA FOR INTERPRETATION WAS ACTUALLY EXTRACTED. *TR
