The muffler diffuser , a part of the exhaust system, suddenly and without warning failed as I was driving on the freeway. There were no warnings or indications of a problem until the passenger side joint failed as I was driving but the driver side joint was still attached and sticking out from the back of the car. This happened as I was driving on the freeway and when it happened I just heard a loud rattling sound. Since one side was still attached I was dragging/scraping the metal part on the freeway without realizing it, which could have caused a spark/ fire or if it had broken off completely an accident for myself or others. If it had continued to bend it could have gotten caught up in my wheels or worse. This is a hazard/danger in my opinion. The vehicle hasn’t been inspected by anyone other than my dad as of this moment. He was able to unscrew the diffuser so I could drive the car otherwise the car would have been a giant safety hazard and undriveable. The broken diffuser is still in my possession.

my Door Lock Actuator has failed on my passenger side front seat door. This poses a safety risk potentially trapping my family inside or allowing doors to swing open while driving. I could also think I locked my doors, however it did not lock and can lead to theft. In 2010, a different car I had was stolen and I still have anxiety about this, so this added level of potential theft has increased my anxiety when going places. My local Goodyear repair shop inspected the actuator and advised that it has failed. There were no warnings or messages that were presented when this started occurring. This started summer of 2025 and gets worse as time goes on.

AC HVAC driver side where the blend door slot for actuator is stripped. The AC is stuck at heater and with out any AC in this heat I almost pass out while driving and almost hit people in the side walk but since it has a curve it hit my right side bumper on a bushes.

Three times in recent months vehicle has responded sluggish after coming to a stop. Two of those times were extended periods in stop amd go traffic greater than 20 minutes. 8/10/2024 event inexplicable as had stopped briefly and only driving for 5-10 minutes. Gas pedal must be fully depressed to get vehicle to move. When it finally responds it barely moves, RPMs Rev to 3,000 and stay there. In most recent episode 9/12/2024 I realized gas pedal was responding sluggishly after stopping for a light, but seemd to get in gear as normal. At 8 miles vehicle would barely resume rolling after a stop, gas pedal had to be floored, engine revved to 3,000 RPMs and acted like stuck in wrong gear, same as other 2 events. Like other times, no warning lights or gauges before or during event. After turning off vehicle and back on it returned to normal function, no indication there had been a problem. Not sure if this is a transmission problem or a computer problem, but a search of the internet reveals this is a common problem for Nissan Rogue owners. Many accounts read similar to mine. Not sure I can trust this vehicle anymore.

The liftgate has been malfunctioning. It will go up, and out of now where completely falls. It has fell on me and my 1 year old when I was getting something in the trunk and had to quickly throw my 1 year old into the trunk so he did not get injured, but it fell on my back. My car was taken to the dealership on [XXX] to confirm there is something mechanically wrong with the liftgate. There were no warning signs of the trunk just dropping. The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to respond as intended, and the vehicle hesitated and stalled. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle independently stopped while depressing the accelerator pedal, and an independent mechanic was contacted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed and the contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the failure had occurred twice. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified on the failure and informed the contact to call Toyota for assistance. The contact called Toyota and was informed that the dealer where the vehicle was purchased was out of business and to call Nissan for assistance; however, the contact received no assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 133,000.

When car is at a stop I need to press the accelerator all the way down for the car to go. It goes very slow (almost slipping) and feels very dangerous (risk of being rear ended). This started 2/3 weeks ago. My mechanic replaced the transmission fluid after finding metal particles in it. Also mentioned over a quart of transmission fluid was missing. They advised me to get a whole new transmission. I contacted Nissan consumer affair since there is a class action law suit for my Nissan Rogue. Mileage as of today it 84,400 miles. Car is being inspected as we speak. They did not find any code and it passed everything so I have to pay $730 for further inspection.

This car only have mileages of 62014 and is maintained regularly on time. There is no any accident with this car. I drove this car in the past 3 months and have no any issue. However, when I reversed the car from my garage smoothly in the morning on July 15, 2025, the car couldn't move forward with Malfunction Indicator Light on. The diagnostic codes P0776 and P0965: Nissan CVT solenoid failure. The Nissan extended warranty is 84 months/84000 miles. The car was not drove too many in the past 3 years. So, the car is not eligible for the extended warranty by time (8 years instead of 7 years) but do be eligible by mileage (only 62014 miles) . The Nissan policy is to determine the eligibility by which criteria (time/mileage) come first. The CVT problem is really common to the Nissan Rogue. The Nissan should extend the warranty coverage on the mileages (84000 miles). Hope the Nissan could improve the quality on CVT and extend its warranty to 84000 miles only.

The contact stated that while her niece was driving at various speeds, the vehicle made an abnormal sound that increased significantly while exceeding 40 MPH. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the contact was informed that the abnormal sound was coming from the transmission. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 56,773.

My 2017 Nissan Rogue's CVT Transmission failed THREE TIMES in 36,321 miles. On 11/22/21 Walser Nissan replaced the transmission. Odometer read 62,735 miles, so at the time Nissan claimed the warrantee had expired (60,000 miles) so after fighting the situation, they agreed that their ‘Goodwill Program’ would waive the cost of the replacement. Then, in less than 2 months later, the CVT failed AGAIN. On 1/14/22 Walser Nissan replaced the transmission. The odometer read 64,378 miles & even though they again claimed the warrantee had expired, their ‘goodwill program’ would waive the cost of the replacement. Now the CVT failed AGAIN. On [XXX] the CVT transmission failed a THIRD time, only 36,321 miles since the last system failure, Nissan is saying they will only cover the cost of the parts but refuse to pay for the labor costs for the replacement. Text message from Walser Nissan on 5/13/25 at 2:27pm: "Andrew from Nissan here. I wanted to let you know that the tech found the transmission failed & needs to be replaced. The transmission is out of warranty for replacement and was submitted for goodwill. Nissan approved covering the cost of the parts for the repair. You would be responsible for the labor cost and rental charge. The labor is $2298.38 plus whatever the rental is at $50.00 per day, so that is what you would owe to get the Rogue fixed." Nissan North America, Inc. in the US Dist court for middle dist of Tennessee Nashville Div Case # [XXX] CLASS ACTION On [XXX]-The transmission starts slipping & RPM meter fluctuates while driving. At 7:06am on 5/8/25 I set an appointment with Walser Nissan. Then by [XXX] on [XXX] the car died while driving & dash message read 'SYSTEM MALFUNCTION'. I called Nissan & they would not pay for tow services or provide a loaner vehicle, so I brought the vehicle to Honest-1 Auto where diagnostics confirmed 'CVT Transmission Failure'. The passenger side air bag shows as off when someone is sitting in the seat. This was a recall issue on other model Rogues and this is a serious safety hazard. Nissan should be making this a recall for other model years!

Took car to local mechanic for airbag light. The passenger seat sensors register that someone is not sitting in the seat when someone is. The passenger seat OFF light is constantly on regardless of someone in the seat. Mechanic tried to reprogram and fix the car computer. That did not work so mechanic took the rogue to the local Nissan to have them reprogram the computer. The dealer could not reprogram it. The next solution was to replace the passenger seat sensors or the entire passenger seat and then reprogram the computer. Elected to not fix this as this was a similar from a recall of 2016 and earlier Nissan rogues.

My 16 year old son was driving the 2017 nissan rogue on [XXX] to our home around 7:30 pm. He veered and right front of vehicle struck a curb. Immediately the passenger side airbags exploded. The two airbag curtain side bags and the front passenger seat side airbag all 3 deployed. First, the airbags should not have deployed and secondly, if this had been a collision with another vehicle, the specific airbags that deployed wouldn't have prevented injury. If there had been a passenger in the front seat, they could have been severely injured by the deployment. The car was towed to a nissan dealership who ran a diagnostic for 200.00. They advised that the cost to replace would be 14K. Given the takata airbag recalls, I should have received a recall notice as I am the original owner of this vehicle. Luckily my son was not injured, but I need to report and hear back from this incident! I believe I should be reimbursed by nissan the replacement value of my vehicle. The vehicle has been inspected by a Nissan dealership, which confirmed the issue with the airbag system. My vehicle was in for recall R22A6 / 22V-549 for the brake booster power supply since the brakes felt spongy and there was a loud ringing sound so we look around a round out about the recall. After the recall repair, all brake codes cleared except C1111 – ABS Pump Motor Failure. The part is still on the vehicle and available for inspection. They told us it was not safe to drive because we have press hard on the brake for the vehicle to stop because the braking system may not function properly, especially during sudden braking or slippery conditions. Nissan has acknowledged the failure through the dealership’s diagnosis. Prior to the recall repair, multiple brake system warning lights were illuminated. Nissan already has an ABS actuator recall (NHTSA Recall 18V-601) on several models from the same years (Murano, Maxima, Pathfinder).

The car starts beeping and the Red brake warning comes on. The beeping is continuous and at that point the brakes get stuck and stop working. My safety was compromised in that my car brakes failed while I was in traffic and I almost hit the Fedex truck in front of me. I knew something was wrong because 2 days before I had just replaced brand new brakes in my car This problem first appeared on September 28th. My car was bought brand new and has never had a problem. Car was towed to Nissan, they inspected and said the problem is the Recall issue since the symptoms are the same and they could not do anything about it because recall repair has not been released by Nissan. I took my car home and drove it the next day and exactly the same problem happened again. The brakes failed right in the middle of traffic again. Warning brake sign comes on, warning car with spanner comes on and then car beeps continuously non-stop and the brakes stop working right in the middle of driving.

WHILE DRIVING THE CAR, THE EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM WAS ACTIVATED WHILE NOTHING WAS IN FRONT OF THE CAR. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT THIS IS HAPPENED TO ME, AND THE FIRST TIME THE PART WAS REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE DUE TO IT BEING UNDER MY WARRANTY. IN THIS SITUATION, THE PART IS NOT BEING REPLACED AND I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH NISSAN CORPORATE WHO REFUSED TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DEFECTIVE PART. THEY ALSO REFUSED TO REPLACE THE PART, STATING THAT IT IS OUTSIDE MY VEHICLES WARRANTY.

Automatic emergency braking is malfunctioning. It is available for inspection upon request. The car stops by itself while driving in traffic, putting myself and other drivers at risk. I have brought the vehicle to the dealership twice and they deny the problem. There is no warning leading up to the issue. It is a reoccurring random problem that happens while driving in stop-and-go traffic. When it occurs, the vehicle is paralyzed and I need to shut off the car and restart the car in the middle of traffic. The vehicle started malfunctioning like this approximately 3 years ago and it has become more frequent. It now occurs every time I commute in slow traffic. It is dangerous and there are reports online of many other drivers experiencing the same problem and local news reports.

Front collision sensor goes off every once in awhile it seeming that there's a person in front of the vehicle when there's no one on the street and also it goes off when it rains or snows or it's foggy out it doesn't work.

On many occasions, the AEB (FEB) engages on its own, when there is not vehicle or item in the car's path. This is a safety issue, as it can happen in traffic, which is likely to cause a collision. This week I took the vehicle to Regal Nissan in Roswell, GA and made them aware of the situation. I was told, "This is a technologically advanced vehicle. If dirt or debris is on the front of the vehicle, it can cause the AEB to engage." The dealership said there was a software update to the AEB that they would perform. They did not inspect the AEB system, but said if it happens again bring it back and they will look at it further. When I got in my care to leave, I found a photocopied page (page 5-85) of the owner's manual that they left for me. The highlighted a sections that said: The radar sensor may NOT detect a vehicle ahead in the following conditions: - Dirt, ice, snow or other material covering the radar sensor". Again - it's not that the system is not detecting something in the path of the car, it's that it is engaging on its own. Forward collision warning failed leading to accident. Automatic emergency braking didn’t engage leading to accident. I didn’t have ANY warning of impending collision. The car made no attempt to brake or alert. I heard a beeping sound on impact but nothing prior. No lights, no warnings, and all assistive safety features failed to activate prior to impact. My safety was put at risk when assistive features failed. The car hit was damaged and pedestrians were in danger from car impact and flying debris. The car was a total loss and my life was in danger. I was injured and taken by ambulance to ER with head injury, broken rib, severe bruising and torn rib cage. The car was inspected by police and insurance. Police report indicated No emergency braking.

They refuse to assist despite this being a known issue. They told me I should pay to take it to another Nissan dealership to pay for another diagnostic test. There’s a problem with the transmission. The car was not accelerating so my mechanic looked at it and determined it need a new transmission. The car only has 81,300 miles on it.

Radiator cooling fan defect that causes safety hazards and costly repairs. There's even an active class action claim filed against Nissan in Tennessee federal court Case No.[XXX]. My vehicle has been inspected by an independent service center who agreed and acknowledged the shop has experienced multiple customers who've had the same issue and repairs needed, with 2016-2020 Nissans especially. The dealership itself quoted $1800 for repairs! I'm a pretty proactive person, so caught the issue before my engine overheated and any warning lights turned on, but noticed when the radiator fan stopped turning once car was idled. My rear hatch door will not open manually or automatically due to torrential downpour that leaked into the rear hatch door while fully closed and locked. That rain water made its way into the electrical component causing the door to no longer operate or even open. The dealership is aware of the issue with several other vehicles of the same year make and model and have not put a recall out to fix the issue. So here I am, reporting the issue to you now in hopes to get a recall put out there so myself and other 2017 Nissan rogue owners can have the issue resolved. For the record, we have my car serviced every 5,000 miles so there were plenty of opportunities for the dealership to make us aware that there was the 1st issue on this car back in 2021, but they did not tell us or even ask if they could fix a known issue.

While my wife was driving down the road she turned on the radio at which time the radio volume went instantly to maximum full volume at it's lowest setting which was enhanced by a stock bose amplifier. My wife stated that she was extremely startled which could have caused an accident, she further suffered hearing loss as a result. This is extremely dangerous for all drivers of such a malfuntion as some by such shock could cause fatalities and or serious injury. The manufacturer at Grand Strand Nissan on route 501 in Conway SC, stated it was the Bose amp malfuntion which I swaped out with another Bose amp and the problem still exist. This is very serious.

The contact stated that the passenger’s side front and rear carpets were wet, and the driver's side carpet was wet occasionally. The contact stated that the water was causing a short circuit with several unknown warning lights to be illuminated. The contact was unable to move the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle was towed to a dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the ADAS control unit was corroded and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the water intrusion had occurred for several years prior to the failure. The contact stated that other repairs were completed due to water intrusion. The contact had researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V875000 (Electrical System); however, the vehicle was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.

I was drivin during the day with no one in front of me and all of a sudden the car was beeping, an alert flashed on the dash and my car skidded to a stop. The alert flashed so quickly I wasn’t able to see what it was and I had no control over my car. Fortunately no one was behind me.

I was driving home from work and my car braked really hard without me touching the brake. The dash board light flashed a warning that was red and white and an alarm went off. This is available upon request. My safety was put at risk because this happened as I was accelerating through a green traffic light. There were people behind me who could have slammed into me, endangering me and them. This happened one other time last week but for a short period of time and it barely braked. It has not yet been inspected, but I plan to call my local dealership.

The automatic emergency braking system activated when there was no hazard. it was a full on panic stop with ABS engaging. The event lasted about 2 seconds. There were no other cars near by so there was no incident. This is the first time this has happened and the Rogue was fine for the rest of that drive. the front sensor was free from obstruction when looked at about 10 mins later.

The automatic braking system engaged four times randomly on 4/4 and 4/5/23 while driving on us hwy 70 in Nashville TN. There were no obstructions nearby when this occurred. Two of the incidents occurred while traveling approximately 45 to 50 mph almost resulting in a rear end collision from the driver behind. The other two incidents occurred at slower speeds making the vehicle almost impossible to drive. This was a significant safety concern since it occurred without warning. The Rogue is currently at action nissan in Nashville for diagnosis.

Paint on the hood peeling significantly. No signs of chips or scratches near the peeling site. Paint is expected to last 10 to 15 years under normal driving conditions and mine has lasted only 7. Color is white. There is a current class action suit against nissan for paint issues, and I want my voice heard too.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was determined that water had leaked into the vehicle due to a clogged sunroof drain. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that the front driver's side floor was soaking wet, and there was water underneath the front driver's side seat. Nissan has Not properly sealed the exterior of this car exposes the customer to extensive weather damage to the motor, electrical and the cabin of the car. Owners of this car has already hhad safety issues because of the root problem the car is not weather protected from it's inception. I'm not the expert but you have to weather seal a house and you must weather seal your cars because they are in the elements reagularly. No customer at the point of sale and no salesman can assure that the car is properly protected from water getting inside the car! That is an issue that the manufacturer should ganuantee. Ive owned numerous cars and water leakage into the cabin or motor has never been a problem. This should be a national recall to address the water leakage problem. This water breach has also caused mole and mildew to grow on the inside of the car.

I was driving on highway at approximately 60 mph, when the hood opened spontaneously obstructing my view, and greatly increasing my likelihood of a catastrophic crash. I was able to see under raised hood, due to a built-in gap, and safely exit highway. When closing, damage sustained to body surrounding hood. There were no audio or visual arms that such an event would occur, nor that the hood may have been open. No police report was filed at the time, and a mechanic is evaluating now. (I was the driver, but am not the owner of the vehicle. Owner is dealing with mechanics at this time.)

Front passenger door handle not opening door. You have to try more than a few times before or actually opens. Very scary if we need to exit the vehicle in case of an emergency. I realized this about a week after I bought the vehicle.

The collision light came on and everywhere online says it’s a recall but Nissan doesn’t show it as a recall in their system. It states the the car will stop suddenly when light comes on thinking cars are around but nobody is around. It’s not safe. I’m getting it fixed right now but I’m having to pay money because my car isn’t listed as a recall for this.

While having my car on for an extended period of time, my car will randomly not accelerate when I push on the gas pedal. As soon as I turn the car off and turn it back on, my car will reset itself and will resume as normal, until it happens again sometimes just 30 minutes later. This issue has happened since I have purchased the car. This happens mostly when I am in stop and go traffic, when I need to accelerate at a stop light, or even just in a pick up line for my son’s school. I took my car into the Tim Dahle Nissan Dealership in South Jordan, UT and they claimed my transmission issue was not related to the issues mentioned in the complaints and that there are leaks causing it, however, everything lines up exactly with the issues as described and I have never heard of these leaks happening until the visit that I happened to ask for a warranty fix. The last time this complaint happened was back in 2021 where they updated the software on the transmission, they told me this would fix the issue and it did not resolve the issue at all, as if still continues to happen. I submitted a complaint to Nissan in February this year advising of the same issue happening and I received a letter in the mail stating that this was an issue that would be covered under the warranty. Please help me get this fixed!!!

The vehicle does not shift gears when attempting to accelerate. The RPMs increase but the speed is sluggish to accelerate. The struggle of the engine is audible from inside the car like the sound of revving of an engine. No warning signs or messages have been associated with the problem. The problem does not happen every time the car is used but has occurred on several different occasions. The car is available for inspection upon request. This problem is dangerous to the driver, passengers, and other drivers on the road as well, because it disrupts the flow of traffic when attempting to merge onto the highway. Many people are forced to slam on their breaks to avoid rear ending the vehicle when it does not accelerate.

My tranmission is not liable. My vehicle jerks, steering wheel vibrates when I hold it at a speed like 45. I have written you before. Nothing will be done. I waiting for it to just die and not move. I know a lot of Nissan Roque have Transmission problems and there is a recall out there. But since mine doesn't show any codes nothing will be done. I don't understand why wait before it does leave me stranded. Or maybe I have a lemon of a vehicle

Vehicle consistently loses power, very loud noise as it is revving up, no lights are on for warnings, sounds as if it is trying to change gears but will not. The a/c also quits working during small climbs or long trips or especially in hilly areas.

As we are on our way driving to work, there was weird sounds coming out of the engine, we had no check engine lights turn on an advance to give us a warning. After those weird noises , we pressed on the gas the car would not move, that’s when the engine light came on and the car turned off, there was smoke coming out of the front it smelt like something was burning, we moved out of the car fast. We tried turning the car back on but it would not turn on.

To whom it may concern, My 2017 Nissan Rogue's CVT transmission went out. I was driving home on March 11, 2022 and I turned right safely into an intersection when the oncoming traffic had a green light and my vehicle stopped accelerating. We could have been hit by incoming traffic because of this. It was not until this happened that I found out that there was a class action lawsuit against Nissan due to this CVT problem. My vehicle was not displaying any warning signs, it just stopped accelerating. Nissan failed to notify their consumers about the ongoing issue with the CVT transmission on their vehicles to have the vehicle inspected prior to warranty being expired. I am a single mother, full time employee, and full time student. I purchased this vehicle in hopes of it being reliable. Instead, this malfunction, I was almost hit by incoming traffic because of the lack of communication with their consumers. Letting consumers know this late is ridiculous, considering most of the affected models are close to the end of their 5-year warranty period. I demand an answer from Nissan, I will not accept that they are not doing anything to help me cover the costs which have been estimated to be closer to $10,000 by a Nissan certified service department. Nissan failed to communicate this problem, my daughter and I's safety was compromised when driving this vehicle, what if this would have occurred while we were driving on the highway. I could have been hurt and so would my daughter. I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs and they declined any sort of help.

Car stops accelerating when the engine get hot. It happens all the time. I was not made aware of any issues with the car when I purchase it . This apparently is a known issue and a teenager drives the car. Mechanic states the whole transmission needs to be replaced.

On multiple occasions this vehicle has lost power whilst driving on public roads including but not limited to interstate roadways. The vehicle will be operating normally at speeds of up to 75 miles per hour (depending on the posted speed limit) and will suddenly lose power and speed to such a degree that it is unsafe and the speed cannot be regained. Vehicle has been inspected and "fixed" on multiple occasions, in multiple states including but not limited to Missouri and South Carolina where the incidents have occurred, however the issue has continued to occur. The locations the vehicle has been inspected and "fixed" include both dealerships and independently owned garage repair shops. The Nissan dealership has advised this issue is not under warrantee and is not part of a recall. They have advised there is a recall of the engine of the 2017 Nissan Rogue Electric vehicle only for the same issue.

I HAVE COME SO CLOSE TO GETTING HIT THAT NOW I AM CONVINCED, IN A MATTER OF "WHEN", THAT I WILL BE HIT!! I am aware that You and Nissan are aware of the CVT being a problem that no one wants to take responsibility for. I'm keeping this report so "when I get hit" a lawsuit will be forthcoming. I drive a 2017 Nissan Rogue that has just under 65K miles on it as of today. Without a prior indication of a problem from the car's warning system, I suddenly began losing transmission power and experiencing significant engine hesitation while driving yesterday, August 23, 2021. Specifically, the car would hesitate at least 3 seconds and sometimes as long as 8 seconds before engaging, thus putting me in great danger in traffic and on public roads. Additionally, the engine would begin revving up from 1 to 4+ rpms while simply trying to maintain a speed of 40 mph. This caused me to constantly have to remove my foot entirely from the accelerator, further putting me in harm's way while in traffic on both residential and highway roads. I lost control of my vehicle. I immediately proceeded home as carefully as I could manage, stored the vehicle overnight in the garage, and took it to the dealership first thing in the morning. To my great surprise and disappointment, the Nissan adviser informed me that the diagnostic codes received were P0776 and P1715, both of which were addressed in previous Nissan Service Bulletins in both 2018 and 2021. Furthermore, these codes indicate specific issues with the CVT - something that has plagued Nissan for years and continues to be the center of many lawsuits and causes for extended warranty programs. In fact, I experienced CVT transmission failure in a 2015 Nissan Rogue that I owned previous to this one. My sister also experienced the same safety hazard in her Nissan Rogue. This is an ongoing and hugely unsafe problem. Currently, my vehicle is at the dealership, awaiting response from Nissan Corporation as to whether they will replace/fix at no cost, considering the blatant CVT issues and the fact that my powertrain warranty expired less than 5k miles ago and that several other models with the exact same issue have been granted extended warranties, etc. This should be at no expense to me. I had my car inspected last month by Nissan!

My 2017 Nissan Rogue has been jerking, lurching, and there are times when the accelerator is depressed but the car does not accelerate at all It is extremely dangerous. Nissan has confirmed that the CVT has failed. This seems to be an ongoing issue with many of their vehicles and it doesn’t not feel like adequate action is being taken to remedy this.

AT 11,500 THE CAR DECREASED IN BRAKING ABILITY. THE DEALER WAS GOING TO CHARGE AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT JUST TO LOOK AT THE BRAKES. TOOK THE CAR TO OUR RELIABLE MECHANIC TO RECEIVE THE TRUST AND NOT BE RIPPED OFF. THE ROTORS ARE GLAZED WHICH PREVENTS THE BRAKES TO STOP THE CAR QUICKLY. NISSAN REFUSED TO TAKE CARE OF THIS PROBLEM. IT IS DRIVABLE BECAUSE IT DOES STOP, JUST NOT QUICKLY. BUT AT INSPECTION TIME, IT PROBABLY WON'T PASS. AT 13,100, THE SERPENTINE BELT AND THE ALTERNATOR LET GO WHILE DRIVING. I believe the issue is with the transmission by online research. I have had the issue multiple times. The vehicle sometimes hesitates to go when pressing on the gas pedal after being stopped at stop lights. This is a problem mostly when it is very hot outside. I have had multiple close calls when trying to take a right at red lights. I will have plenty of time before another car is coming but I try to go and the car hesitates or barely moves before it actually goes almost causing accidents. I have not been able to get the car to the dealer to try and reproduce the issue and I feel it would be hard to reproduce unless the car was driven for a bit in the heat. There are no codes or warning lights populating.

On December 3, 2024, the transmission on my 2017 Nissan Rogue would not shift out of 2nd gear. I was driving home from work on a crowded freeway. When the traffic subsided, I could not make my vehicle drive faster than 20mph. I exited the freeway as soon as I could and pulled over to call the Auto Club for a tow. The tow truck driver said that this is a known condition with this model of transmission. My vehicle had 71,000 miles and had been properly serviced and I have the records to show it. The service at the dealerships were closed so I had it towed within the mileage range so it would not cost me anything through AAA. The mechanic kept my car for a week and replaced the transmission valve body which cost me $1871.68. I called Nissan HQ and spoke to a customer service rep, customer service supervisor, and the executive office for Nissan. All three company representatives would not reimburse me because I did not go to a dealer for repair. I explained that I was stranded, barely outside of warranty by time or miles (I had purchased an extended warranty which expired 5 months prior.) I feel the transmission failing with such a young vehicle is a safety issue and I need to be reimbursed. I used work at Toyota Motor Sales for 23 years and they would have reimbursed their customers for this vehicle failure. Please help. Thank you.

While taking off from a stoplight, the car did nothing when I pushed on the gas-then it jumped into gear & took off abruptly. This has happened multiple times. Just last week, I was driving & it started revving at higher rpm’s. I had to pull over and shut the car off and restart.

I have stayed up to date and proactive on maintenance. at 110000 miles my transmission has started to have gear slips, My RPMs increase and my car will randomly lose the ability to accelerate at random times leaving me vulnerable to an accident car crash.

My Nissan Rogue 2017 constantly stalls when I accelerate after having to stop on a hill. I live in Pennsylvania and there are a lot of hills. It mostly happens when I have my air conditioning on. I go to accelerate and the car lags. The worst occasion was on 8/20/2022. I was stopped at a light going up hill and pressed the gas pedal and it lagged for about 30 seconds. The RPM shot up and my car was only going like 30 in a 35 even with me accelerating. Once I was stopped at a light on a flat road, I turned my car off and it was fine. This consistently happens when I’m traveling up hills and I cannot always turn my car off. It’s terrifying when I’m trying to make a left turn off a hill near my house and I accelerate but don’t move fast enough. I’m always afraid I’ll get into an accident. If I had known about this CVT, I wouldn’t have bought this car.

THE REAR MIDDLE SEAT LAP BELT LOCKS WHILE THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY, TO DISENGAGE THE LOCKING OF THE BELT, IT HAS TO BE TOTALLY DISCONNECTED FROM THE LOCKING MECHANISM AND TOTALLY RELEASED BACK TO NO PASSENGER POSITION FOR THE LOCK TO DISENGAGE. INCIDENT. I HAD A CHILD IN THE MIDDLE SEAT WITH BOOSTER SEAT WITH THE SEAT BELT ENGAGED. WHEN I REACHED MY DESTINATION I COULD NOT GET THE CHILD OUT OF THE SEAT BELT BECAUSE IT WAS LOCKED AND THERE WAS NO WAY TO RELEASE THE BELT FROM THE BUCKLE BECAUSE IT WAS LOCKED AND THE CHILD ALMOST SUFFOCATED BECAUSE I COULD RELEASE THE BELT. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT AND NO REASON FOR THE BELT TO BECOME LOCKED. I HAD TO CUT THE SEAT BELT WITH A KNIFE TO RELEASE THE CHILD.

IF THERE WERE A COLLISION AND THE SEATS NEEDED TO BE EXTRACTED QUICKLY, I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT THEY WOULD NEED TO BE CUT OUT DUE TO THE LOWER ANCHOR POSITIONS AND ENCASEMENT. I'M A FAIRLY STRONG, GROWN WOMAN, AND I COULD BARELY FEEL THE LOWER ANCHORS, LET ALONE INSTALL THE CHILD SEAT. I HAVE QUICKLY INSTALLED CAR SEATS IN A TOYOTA PRIUS, NISSAN VERSA, HONDA ODYSSY, NISSAN MAXIMA, NISSAN ALTIMA, AND OTHER RENTED VEHICLES. THIS LATCH SYSTEM WAS BY FAR, THE MOST DIFFICULT AND INACCESSIBLE. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS VEHICLE AND IT'S LOWER ANCHORS. NOTE: OUR NISSAN VERSA IS CURRENTLY IN STORAGE AWAITING A TAKATA AIRBAG REPLACEMENT (THE SECOND ONE). WHILE WE WAIT, WE ARE PARTICIPATING IN NISSAN'S FREE VEHICLE LOANER PROGRAM, REQUIRING US TO CHANGE VEHICLES EVERY 2-3 MONTHS. AS A RESULT, WE ARE HAVING TO REINSTALL OUR CHILD SEATS EACH TIME. ON 9/30/2019 MY NISSAN ROGUE WAS MISSING AND STALLING SO I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC (ALPINE AUTOMOTIVE INC., 5495 W. MISSISSIPPI AVE. LAKEWOOD, CO 80226. A DIAGNOSTIC WAS RUN ON THIS VEHICLE PRODUCING CODE P1715 INPUT SPEED SENSOR PRIMARY SPEED PO776 OIL PRESS SOLENOID B. FOUND SERVICE BULLETIN NTB16-11OL THAT INDICATED THE VEHICLE NEEDS A VALVE BODY AND REPROGRAM. UNFORTUNATELY THIS MECHANIC DELETED THE CODES AND THIS HAS HINDERED GETTING MY TRANSMISSION FIXED UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE NISSAN WILL NOT WORK ON MY VEHICLE UNTIL THEY GET A CODE FROM THEIR DIAGNOSTICS. I first noticed my gas gauge was not moving after driving 75 miles. It was showing the tank was on full, ( this could not be so) In addition I begin to count the mileage I was driving and I noticed that my mileage gas gauge wasn’t working as well. For instants I drove 40 miles and only half of that subtracted from my mileage so neither the gas or mileage gauge is working and or reporting the correct gas amount in my tank. I looked up the issue on the Internet and found that many people with all different types of Nissan models and years are having this problem yet there isn’t a recall there’s only a technical bulletin out. I called Nissan in Crystal River Florida to ask them if they knew about the problem they said they did not and if I wanted to get it fixed to bring it in for a diagnosis of $189. I refused. So now this is a safety problem as I do not know how much gas is in my tank.

The defrost only blows out cold air, along with the drivers side heat. Heat comes out of the passenger side but the defrost and drivers side is always cold. The cold defrost makes for LESS visibility and freezes the windshield making it unsafe to drive in winter conditions or cold conditions. The actuator door has been replaced twice and did not fix the issue. The dealership has recommended the entire Heater / AC Unit Assembly being replaced for $3000. This is a common safety concern with the Nissan Rogue and should be recalled before further accidents/injuries/problems occur.

PREPARING FOR A ROAD TRIP, WE HAD THE CAR IN OUR GARAGE AND FILLED THE WASHER FLUID TANK (AFTER COMPLETELY EMPTYING IT) WITH FLUID THAT WILL NOT FREEZE UP TO -40F AND IT WAS WORKING FINE FOR A FEW HOURS WHILE DRIVING, HOWEVER LATER WHILE DRIVING NO FLUID WAS COMING OUT ON EITHER THE FRONT OR REAR WINDSHIELD. THE PUMP WAS WORKING, BUT THE TOP LINES AND NOZZLES WERE FROZEN SO NOTHING WAS COMING OUT. THIS WAS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. IT WAS MAYBE 10F OUTSIDE WITH SALTY AND WET ROADS DUE TO LIGHT FLURRIES AND WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DRIVING HOME ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS FOR 8 HOURS. WE LOST VISIBILITY MULTIPLE TIMES AND HAD TO KEEP PULLING OVER TO MANUALLY WIPE DOWN THE WINDSHIELDS AND EVENTUALLY WERE UNABLE TO MAKE OUR TRIP AS PLANNED BECAUSE OF HOW IMPOSSIBLE AND UNSAFE IT WAS TO USE THE CAR. THE NOZZLES AND LINES ARE SIMPLY TOO SMALL AND IT'S NOT A PROBLEM WITH OUR FLUID AS IT WAS COMPLETELY LIQUID. WE COULD FEEL HOW TIGHT THE TUBES WERE AND HOW IT WAS UNABLE TO GET THE FLUID THROUGH. YOU DO NOT REALIZE HOW NECESSARY WINDSHIELD FLUID IS UNTIL YOUR CAR GETS COVERED IN SALT BEHIND A TRUCK ON THE INTERSTATE AND YOU INSTANTLY CANNOT SEE ANYTHING. ​I WAS DRIVING MY 2017 NISSAN ROGUE ON A ROUTINE TRIP FROM MY HOME TO MY OFFICE. I WAS TURNING THROUGH A RESIDENTIAL INTERSECTION WHEN MY CAR SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING MID-ACCELERATION. I WOULD ESTIMATE I WAS GOING NO MORE THAN 5-7MPH AS I ACCELERATED FROM THE STOP SIGN INTO 25 MPH. BECAUSE I WAS GOING UP A SLIGHT INCLINE, I WAS ABLE TO PUT IT INTO NEUTRAL AND COAST BACKWARDS OUT OF THE INTERSECTION. I CONTACTED AAA AND WAITED FOR THEM TO RUN THEIR BATTERY TESTS. AFTER RULING OUT BATTERY ISSUES, I HAD IT TOWED TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO ENCOURAGED ME TO TAKE IT TO NISSAN DUE TO A COMPUTER MALFUNCTION. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THAT WHAT HAPPENED SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. NISSAN PUT IT THROUGH THEIR OWN TESTS TO DETERMINE WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED WITH THE COMPUTER. THEY LATER FOUND THAT A ​​WIRE HAD BEEN RUBBING AGAINST A BOLT. THE WIRE WAS THE WIRE THAT CONNECTS THE COMPUTER TO THE ENGINE. AS EXPLAINED TO ME: THE WIRES OF THE CAR ARE ALL BUNDLED TOGETHER AND INSIDE OF A "PROTECTIVE" TUBE. NISSAN STATED THAT THE CAR STARTED FINE FOR THEM AND TEST DROVE IT. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IT NOT ON. EXTREMELY CONCERNED AS THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. WHAT IF I WAS ON THE FREEWAY OR MAJOR HWY AND THE ENGINE WOULD JUST TURN OFF? I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING MY BRAND NEW CAR THAT I'VE ONLY OWNED FOR ONE MONTH. The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the carpet on the front driver’s and passenger’s side was wet. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer and the contact was informed that the source the leak was not found. The failure persisted and the rear carpet also became wet. The vehicle was taken to another dealer and the contact was informed that the source of the leak was coming from the sunroof. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V875000 (Electrical System). The contact stated that the work performed in the recall repair had led to the moisture inside the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 46,807.

The trunk lift gate opens then closes. The safety feature in which it will open if it is close to coming into contact with an object does not work. Sometimes the malfunction is delayed and if an individual is reaching into the trunk , it will come down on their head and possibly close them between the liftgate and the trunk. The trunk was inspected by a Nissan service parts place and they said it coded for needing new spindles which is a $1300 part that is on national back order without an eta. This presents safety issue because it can cause head injury and possible body injury if a smaller sized individual gets closed between the liftgate and the trunk.

Have had this car for over a year and have been dealing with it constantly going into limp mode randomly throughout the day, usually when driving in stop and go traffic. Prior to going into limp mode (won't shift out of first gear), it lags for about 5 seconds while pressing the acceleration pedal and does not move. It's a huge safety issue when having to turn with oncoming traffic. I've taken the car to the dealer multiple times and Nissan refuses to acknowledge that there is any issue. When scanning with an OBD2 scanner, there are no codes associated with transmission issues. Transmission fluid has been flushed and replaced more then once since owning the car. On bad days, my car has gone into limp mode up to 6 times in one day. I've read this is a common problem with this year and model of car yet there is no recall for the CVT or cooling system for the transmission fluid. Mechanics can't seem to figure out a solution and I'm stuck with a car that has almost caused me to be in multiple accidents due to the hesitation/lag randomly when accelerating. I fear my transmission is going to go out every day I drive this car and it is my only car sadly.

As I was driving, steadily pressing on my gas, and I felt the car stopping. The car sounded like it was in neutral and I was pressing on the gas but it didn’t make a difference. I pulled over put it in park, then drive again. The problem persisted. I turned off the car and then it drove regularly. This has occurred 2 times already. I use premium gasoline and get oil changes regularly. This seems like a transmission problem. I’m very scared this might happen when I’m on a highway.

I was informed by a Nissan dealership over 3 years ago that both inner tie rods on my 2017 Nissan Rogue have play in them. The vehicle had less then 30,000 miles on it and was never in an accident nor was it ever driven off roads. They told me it would cost over $2,000.00 to make the repair because the tie rods were part of the power steering rack. In other words to replace the inner tie rods they had to replace the power steering rack as well. The vehicle was manufactured in Korea. I complained that this failure in the tie rods had to be a manufacturing defect but Nissan refused to cover the repair because my three year new car warranty expired. I just recently read that the NHTSA in August 5th of 2024 began an investigation on this matter with the 2021 model year Nissan Rogue SUV. I believe this matter is just not for the 2021 model year but at least model year 2017.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the lower control arm bushings and the front driver's side shocks were faulty. The lower control arm bushings and the front driver's side shocks needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the VIN was not included in any recalls and that the suspension was not under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.

My car is a 2017 Nissan Rogue hybrid. It jerks a lot when moving, when it starts moving, I feel that the electric engine does not provide power and it switches to a gasoline engine, while the car jerks strongly and can jerk sharply when I release the gas pedal. When moving backwards, it also jerks strongly; when moving uphill, you have to press the gas pedal hard to climb the hill. I found out that this car model often had problems with the brakes and the Nissan company repaired these cars and recalled them. 2022-2024 Nissan CVT Transmission Settlement Update (Rogue ... Nissan agreed to pay over $277 million as part of the settlement to resolve certain defective transmissions claims. The following Nissan models are included in the 2022 Nissan CVT settlement: 2014 – 2018 Nissan Rogue. 2015 – 2018 Nissan Pathfinder. One of the auto mechanics reported that when you press the gas pedal a little, the electric motor does not push the car, does not move the car forward, there is no force in it. But already when driving, it is triggered, since the car is on the move and moves by inertia. This auto mechanic reported that the problem is with this electric motor and it is attached to the transmission, and to replace it, you need to completely change the transmission with this electric motor. I ask you to please help me in solving this problem, because of this I am very worried and worried, it is difficult to communicate with Nissan representatives.

Liftgate malfunction. Liftgate of vehicle was found open when entering our garage despite previous night it being utilized and closed. I pressed the button on the liftgate to close the liftgate and both my husband and I witnessed it closing and heard the usual "click" sound that liftgate had closed completely. We entered the vehicle, and my husband started the vehicle. As he was slowly moving forward out of the garage, we suddenly heard beeping and the liftgate was opening without warning, hitting the top of the garage, causing the rear glass in the liftgate to shatter and damage to the rear wiper and liftgate paint. The plastic inner cover came off also. My husband moved the car to the street to clean out the class from the back, closed the liftgate and a few minutes later it rose again automatically without warning. When we brought the vehicle in for repair we mentioned what had occurred and asked that it be checked for accurate operation.

WHEN THE TEMPERATURE DROPS BELOW 35 DEGREES, THE YELLOW LIGHT INDICATING THAT IMMEDIATE BRAKING IS REQUIRED, IS ENGAGED AND BLINKING WHEN VEHICLE IS TURNED ON.(WHILE PARKED OR DRIVING) LIGHT STAYS ON, WHILE DRIVING, EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE NO OBSTRUCTIONS IN THE ROAD OR VEHICLES' CAMERAS.IT GOES OFF, AFTER DRIVING FOR APPROX 5-10 MINUTES. WHEN THE TEMPERATURE IS ABOVE FREEZING (WARMER MONTHS) A HARD BRAKE WILL CAUSE THE CENTER CONSOLE DISPLAY AND THE FUNCTIONALITY OF HANDS-FREE CELL USE, TO TURN OFF. AFTER A FEW SECONDS, THE DISPLAY RESETS AND TURNS ON (REBOOTS) ON IT'S OWN. IF SPEAKING TO SOMEONE VIA HANDS FREE, WHEN TURNOFF OCCURS, IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY RECONNECT CALL, AFTER REBOOT. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY THE POWER DROPPED TO THE CAR. THE RPMS DROPPED DOWN TO ALMOST ZERO, THE POWER TO THE RADIO AND FAN MOTOR STOPPED AS WELL. I WENT FROM 65 MILES PER HOUR TO 35 MILES PER HOUR IN A MATTER OF SECONDS. THANKFULLY I WAS NOT HIT BY ANOTHER CAR. THE SECOND ISSUE IS THAT THE ENGINE FEELS LIKE IT MIGHT STALL UPON START AFTER SITTING ALL DAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE THIRD ISSUE IS THAT THE BLUETOOTH RADIO SYSTEM HAS A WHISTLING SOUND WHEN TRYING TO USE THIS AND BE SAFE WHILE DRIVING. THE FOURTH ISSUE IS THAT THE INTERIOR BACK DOOR PULLS TO CLOSE THE DOOR BOTH POP OUT AND CANNOT BE PUSHED BACK INTO PLACE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN AWAY FROM ME FOR A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF TIME SO NISSAN CAN TRY AND MAKE REPAIRS. CONSUMER AFFAIRS TOLD US THAT SIMPLY THERE WAS NO FIX FOR THE BLUETOOTH ISSUE AND THAT THE BACK DOOR PULLS WAS A DESIGN FLAW FROM THE MANUFACTURER.

A RED KEY APPEARED IN THE DASHBOARD FLASHING. IT TOOK SEVERAL MINUTES BEFORE THE KEY EVENTUALLY TURNED. THIS ONLY LASTED A DAY. FAST FORWARD TO NOW MY CAR KEEPS STALLING. I TOOK IT BY AN AUTO ZONE, I WAS TOLD IT WAS MY ALTERNATOR. WELL I JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR NEW LAST YEAR. IT'S ONLY A YEAR OLD. THIS MORNING, IT GAVE ME THE SAME ISSUE. I GO TO TURN THE CAR ON DRIVE OUT THE LOT AND IT KEEPS STALLING. NO INDICATORS IN THE DASHBOARD ARE INDICATING ANYTHING IS WRONG. ON AUGUST 16, 2019, WHILE DRIVING UNDER A TOLL BOTH ON A TURNPIKE, THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BREAKING SYSTEM ENGAGED (FLASHING LIGHTS, WARNING BEEPS AND A GRINDING NOISE) WHILE I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 30 TO 40 MPH, CAUSING THE CAR TO STALL AND FORCIBLY JERK. THIS ALMOST CAUSED ME TO COLLIDE AGAINST THE TOLL BOOTH. THERE WAS NO OBSTRUCTION AHEAD. THIS HAD ALREADY HAPPENED 2 OTHER TIMES AND THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. I TOOK IT IMMEDIATELY AFTER IT HAPPENED THE THIRD TIME AND THE DEALERSHIP ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THEY HAD A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN (TSB) AND REPROGRAMMED THE SENSORS. ON THEIR NOTES, THEY WROTE "REPROGRAM ICC AND ADAS CONTROL UNITS (WARRANTY) (APPLICABLE TSB)". I HAVE DRIVEN UNDER A TOLL BOOTH AFTER AND HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED ANYTHING SIMILAR, HOWEVER, THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL AS THIS ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. THE FIRST TIME THE VEHICLE MALFUNCTIONED, I WAS DRIVING IN A GROCERY STORE PARKING LOT WITH A PERSONAL FRIEND AND SUDDENLY THE CAR'S EMERGENCY BRAKE PROTECTION ACTIVATED JOLTING THE CAR TO A STOP. THE SECOND OCCURRENCE WAS IN A PARKING DECK (DIFFERENT FROM THE FIRST LOCATION) AND THE CAR AGAIN ACTIVATED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE PROTECTION SYSTEM JOLTING THE CAR TO A STOP. I THEN FELT THIS WAS A SAFETY ISSUE AND BROUGHT THIS INTO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP. THEY CHECKED THE CAR AND CALLED REPORTING THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR AND I SHOULD PICK IT UP. I PICKED THE CAR UP AND CONTINUED TO DRIVE IT UNTIL I SWITCHED CARS WITH A PERSONAL FRIEND WHO USED THE CAR TO DRIVE ONE MILE BACK TO HOME DOWN A 4 LANE ROAD. UPON COMING TO AN INTERSECTION, SHE REPORTS SHE BEGAN SLOWING DOWN AND GOT IN A TURN LANE TO MAKE A LEFT ONTO OUR NEIGHBORHOOD ROAD AND AS SHE WAS APPROACHING THE LIGHT, THE CAR ACTIVATED THE EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM, AGAIN JOLTING THE CAR TO A STOP. SHE STATES DURING AND AFTER THE CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP, SHE KEPT HER FOOT ON THE BREAK THE ENTIRE TIME AND WHILE DECOMPRESSING THE BRAKE, THE CAR THEN JOLTED FORWARD CRASHING INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF HER. I HAD THE CAR TOWED IN TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND HAD CORPORATE NISSAN STEP IN TO INVESTIGATE THE CAR. 6 WEEKS LATER THEY INVESTIGATED THE CAR REPORTING THAT NO ERROR WAS FOUND WITH THE CAR AND AGAIN I SHOULD PICK MY VEHICLE UP. I REQUESTED SPECIFIC TESTS AND ASKED THE TESTING PROCESS FOR THE CAR AND WAS ADVISED BY THE INVESTIGATION DEPARTMENT THAT THEY COULD NOT DISCLOSE THAT INFORMATION AND THAT THE TESTING AND RESULTS WERE "PROPERTY OF NISSAN" AND THAT THEY WERE NOT OFFERING ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE.

WHILE TRAVELING THROUGH SNOW AND ICE THE FRONT GRILL OF THE VEHICLE BECAME COVERED WITH A COATING OF ICE. THIS BLOCKED THE FRONT RADAR DEVICE FROM WORKING. THEREFORE SHUTTING DOWN THE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM AND THE AUTOMATIC COLLISION DETECTION SYSTEM WHICH BRAKES THE VEHICLE WHEN GETTING TO CLOSE TO A VEHICLE IN FRONT. THIS CONDITION PERSISTED EVEN AFTER PASSING THROUGH THE STORM BECAUSE THE TEMPERATURE WAS AT FREEZING OR BELOW. THIS OCCURRED WHILE TRAVELING ON A HIGHWAY. THE ICE ON THE GRILL ONLY MELTED AFTER STOPPING, AND THE CRUISE CONTROL AND AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM RETURN TO NORMAL. MY HOME CAUGHT FIRE MARCH 24, ORIGINATING AT THE CAR PORT WHERE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. NEIGHBOR WITNESSED BRIGHT WHITE EXPLOSIONS TAKING PLACE AT THE CORNER OF THE CAR PORT WHERE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. MY WIFE WOKE TO THE SMOKE ALARM, AND HOUSE WAS FILLED WITH TOXIC SMOKE. AS I ROSE AND INVESTIGATED, I WITNESSED THE INTERIOR SIDE DOOR TO THE CAR PORT ABLAZE ABOVE THE DOOR FRAME. I bought Nissan Rogue 2017 in 2021, but I have been having issues with tires, even though i had pump it and went to repair the tire many times, I received a notice for key recall in 2023, I went for to Evan Mills Nissan dealer in March 2023, They just straighten the key, that I should not bend the key, and I have been having issues with car engine light, ABS and Malfunction's, I have, this car had shut off four times while driving. brakes & engine shut off while driving On [XXX]. I was driving in Chicopee MA, the moment I inserted the key, while driving, the car suddenly accelerated, could not control the brakes, jack up and suddenly turned off, while driving with my kids in it, the speed sensor decrease and not accelerated at all, I took it to scanning at emission test, I changed part as requested, but yet the engine light and ABS is still on, I went to the dealer on 11/26/2024 but they told that i have to pay $200 to diagnose this car before anything can be done, I have been having issues this car since they one, because the dealer sold this car for me with bad tires and also fogged the price from $17,000 to $23,000, I traded Hyundai sonata 2017 and i did not get anything back, I am [XXX], please I need help with my car. -engine light was on and nissan ran a diagnostic and found the code number p0603 and needs a new ECM -this could cause an accident as the driver can loose control of vehicle at any moment causing the driver and others at high risk -the problem was confirmed by the dealer service center -the engine light was the only indicator and other private car auto body stated the battery needed replacement but nissan ran a diagnostic to find it was the ECM.

Car was missing when driving and completely lost transmission. Car woudnt move when out in gear. THE TRANSMISSION IS FAULTY AND WHEN DRIVING IN THE FREEWAY OR EVEN THE STREETS I WOULD NOTICE THAT THE CAR STARTS TO JERK BACK AND FORTH. SECONDLY I BELIEVE IT UNSAFE WHENEVER TURNING AT HIGH SPEEDS THE CAR FEELS AS IF IT CAN TIP OVER. WITHIN MY FIRST MONTH OF PURCHASING THE CAR THERE WAS TONS OF ENGINE PROBLEMS.

I am the owner of a 2017 Nissan Rogue SV FWD. Bought the vehicle back in October 2022 with a clear history with no prior accidents reported on the vehicle. Recently while driving to work, my brakes on my 2017 Nissan Rogue suddenly braked or locked up without me pressing the brake pedal. There was no vehicles in ahead of me nor in back of me yet still the brakes engaged. This has caused my 2017 Nissan Rogue to lose traction and hydroplane across the lanes on the freeway and in doing so sending me crashing into the concrete barrier in the medium. It has been raining that day and while it was raining at the time of the incident, me hydroplaning unexpectedly was inevitable. The impact with the concrete barrier send me careening backward to now face the oncoming traffic that were behind me more than two hundred feet away. I look to the dash and discovered the "automatic braking" light on. Not wanting to get struck by oncoming drivers, I managed to move my vehicle to a safe location and turn the engine off. I like to also add that the driver side airbag on the 2017 Nissan Rogue DID NOT deploy from the impact. No drivers or other vehicles were struck damaged or impact from the incident. I have started a claim on the night of the incident and my vehicle is currently being inspected by my insurance agent.

MY DAUGHTER WAS AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT BEHIND A JEEP. THE CARS BEGAN TO DRIVE FORWARD AFTER THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN. AS THEY WERE SPEEDING UP, THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HER SLAMMED ON HIS BRAKES AND THE ROGUE DID NOT STOP AND RAN INTO THE JEEP.I LEASED THIS CAR FOR SAFETY FEATURES THAT DID NOT DO WHAT THEY ARE ADVERTISED TO TO DO. FORWARD EMERGENCY BRAKING DID NOT ACTIVATE, NO AUDIBLE ALERTS, AND AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. MY DAUGHTER HIT A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HER AND CAUSED ABOUT $8,000 IN DAMAGE.

This has happened multiple times on Interstate 20. I will merge onto the interstate and my Rogue will lose power completely. I can have the gas pedal almost at the ground and there is no acceleration. The RPM will go up to 4 but literally no acceleration is happening. I can feel the car get to 60 and then it won’t go any faster. At times when idle at a red light or in a parking spot so many warning lights will come on about pedestrian crossing and some other odd ones. If I turn the car off for 30+ seconds the car resets back to normal until the next time it does it. I don’t know if these two issues are related but both are impacting the trust I have in this vehicle to get me where I need to go and arrive alive. I have cell records and photos from some of the times the lack of acceleration situation happened because I was so frightened I called my spouse or son to ask what was happening. The incidents on I20 my children were also in the car and could feel that we were not going fast enough to keep up with traffic and could no accelerate or increase speed with the gas pedal going down, down

There is a severe acceleration issue happening with this vehicle. When ibling for to long or stop/go traffic, the acceleration of the vehicle disappears and seems to ride with little mobility. The rpms will sky rocket, yet the car will not move fast at all. It's gotten quite scary crossing two lanes of traffic from a stoplight. There is an attached doc from the manufacturer communications section stating just this issue on Jan 2018.

The automatic emergency brake will activate when it's not supposed to. Then it will take several seconds for me to be able to drive again. This has caused me to almost be rear ended several times. I can turn the auto brake system off but it will come back on, on it's own.

Right rear wheel bearing was bad. I was told at 66,000 miles, this was premature. This started approximately 3 weeks ago and was corrected today. I had to take it to two places before a diagnosis was made for loud driving noise and slight vibration. The wheel bearing could have locked up and caused a severe incident.

I AM LEASING A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE WITH 13,000 MILES ON MY BRAND-NEW CAR. BACK ON MARCH 8, 2019 MY FIRST TIRE BLEW SO I REPLACED IT. ON JULY 9, 2019 MY SECOND TIRE BLEW OUT WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. WHEN I BROUGHT MY TIRE IN TO BE LOOKED AT I WAS TOLD IT WAS A TIRE MALFUNCTION SO FALKEN TIRE ENDED UP REIMBURSING ME FOR THE NEW TIRE I HAD BOUGHT. ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2019 I BROUGHT MY CAR INTO MY NISSAN DEALERSHIP BECAUSE MY TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WAS ON. I WAS TOLD THAT MY TWO FACTORY TIRES ON MY CAR WERE LEAKING AROUND THE SEAMS. SEEING THAT THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION, I CONTACTED FALKEN TIRE TO LET THEM KNOW THE SITUATION. MY FIRST CALL TO THEM CONCLUDED THAT THEY WOULD COVER ALL CHARGES RELATED TO THE TIRE; THE NEW TIRE AND LABOR COST. WHEN I TOOK MY CAR IN TO GET THOSE TWO TIRES CHANGED, THE GUY HELPING ME CALLED FALKEN TIRE TO MAKE SURE THEY WOULD BE PICKING UP THE BILL AND THEY CLAIMED THEY HAD NOTHING ON FILE REGARDING MY SITUATION. AFTER MULTIPLE CALLS TO FALKEN TIRE I WAS TOLD THAT THEY CANNOT CHANGE OUT MY TIRES BECAUSE THERE IS NO PROOF IN FRONT OF THEM THAT THESE TIRES ARE FAULTY. AFTER 2 BLOWN TIRES AND 2 TIRES LEAKING, THEY SAID THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO HELP ME UNTIL AN ACTUAL PROBLEM OCCURS. While I am driving my car will beep and say malfunctioning and drop the please power as I push on the peddle, and it's hard for me to gain more speed as the speed limit increases. If I am to slow down or stop at a red light then start to go again my car takes a few minutes to get to the speed limit it's like the car has bo power going it is. Today I pulled into fhe road after leaving a store and was only going 3 miles an hour my car did not want to go this is berry dangerous to be driving this way. The part is on back order and can't get it to fix the problem, my mechanic said if it's not fixed it could cause other problems like cause my Cadillac converter to go. This should be recalled if it's in such high demand and this should be on Nissan if I can't buy the part to fix my car it's verry unsafe and needs to be fixed

My cars intake runner control valve needs to be replaced when I am driving my car will beep and say malfunctioning on the dash the power to my car lessons I can push the pedal of my car to the floor and only be going 30 to 40 miles an hour, I tried getting the part from a couple garage is it is on back order a long list of people are waiting for this part Nissan said they don't know when I will be able to get it when it will be back in stock this is a non-safe to be driving a car like this. The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that upon driving from a complete stop, the accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to respond and the transmission slipped. The contact continued to depress the accelerator pedal and the vehicle responded by jolting inadvertently thirty minutes later. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring increasingly and the check engine light would illuminate intermittently. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Additionally, the contact stated while driving at 30 MPH and approaching another vehicle, the brake pedal was depressed but failed to respond, causing the vehicle to crash into the rear end of the occupied vehicle. The airs bags failed to deploy and the seat belt failed to engage, causing the contact to hit her head against the windshield and hit her chest against the steering wheel. The contact sustain head injuries, memory loss, bruises on the chest, and whiplash. The contact did not seek medical assistance. The contact was unsure whether the other driver sustained injuries. A police report was filed. The contact was able to drive the vehicle to her mother-in-law's residence which was 2 to 3 blocks away. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 142,000.

NIGHT TIME DRIVING IS VERY DIFFICULT WITH JUST THE LOW BEAMS ON. IF THE WEATHER IS BAD, CLOUDY, OR ALLMOST NO MOON LIGHT, IT IS MOST NOTICEABLEWHEN MAKING LEFT HAND TURNS. THE ROAD CAN APPEAR PITCH BLACK AND I WAS UNABLE TO SEE THE DOUBLE YELLOW LINES. IN ADDITION A SLIGHT UPWARD GRADE ADDS TO THE PROBLEM. I'M NOT AWARE OF THIS BEING A PROBLEM WHILE THE HIGH BEAMS ARE ON HOWEVER I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TEST THEM IN THE MOST TROUBLING AREA THAT I FREQUENTLY DRIVE DUE TO ON COMING TRAFFIC. HIGH BEAMS HAVE HELPED IN MANY AREAS THAT ARE DIFFICULT TO SEE LANE MARKERS WITH JUST LOW BEAMS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE IN A PARKING LOT WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL SLIGHTLY DEPRESSED, THE CONTACT SHIFTED THE VEHICLE INTO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT WARNING, DROVE OVER AN EMBANKMENT, AND STRUCK A TREE. THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE, DOOR, AND REAR PASSENGER DOOR WERE DAMAGED. PREVIOUSLY, WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS STIFF AND THE CONTACT HAD DIFFICULTY STEERING THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE PULLED IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF THE STEERING. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, the airbag warning light illuminated. I took the vehicle to a Nissan dealership in Texas for diagnosis. The technician confirmed that the airbag fault was present before the vehicle was sold to me. According to the diagnostic records, the selling dealer (Kelly Nissan in Oak Lawn, Illinois) had previously scanned the airbag system, identified an airbag fault code, cleared the code without performing the repair, and then proceeded to sell the vehicle. This means the airbag defect existed at the time of sale and was intentionally or negligently undisclosed. The system continues to show a malfunction indicator, and the Clay Cooley Nissan dealership in Richardson, Texas identified the issue as an electrical airbag system failure requiring a repair estimated at $2,304.15. This defect affects the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), which may result in: Airbags failing to deploy during a crash Improper deployment Increased risk of injury or death The vehicle is unsafe to drive in its current condition. The selling dealer refuses to authorize repair outside Illinois, leaving me with an unsafe vehicle that cannot be feasibly transported. Nissan Corporate states this is the dealer's responsibility and will not intervene. Given that this defect relates directly to the federally regulated airbag safety system, I am requesting NHTSA’s investigation into whether this represents a broader issue of airbag system defects or improper clearing of airbag fault codes prior to sale by the dealer.

I purchased a 2017 Nissan Rogue used from a Nissan dealership with 58,617 miles. At around 99,000 miles, the vehicle began experiencing dangerous hesitation and shuddering. A certified Nissan dealer diagnosed a failure of the CVT transmission, specifically citing Code P17F2 (Judder Condition). I was quoted over $6,000 for the repair. This issue matches known Nissan CVT defects that have been subject to multiple lawsuits and technical service bulletins, but my VIN was not included in prior coverage extensions. Nissan denied my request for Goodwill Repair Assistance despite having documentation from their own dealer. This failure poses a safety concern and appears to be the result of a widespread manufacturer defect that has not yet been formally recalled for all affected VINs. I am submitting this to request investigation and accountability.

Car had scheduled routine maintenance done on February 15, 2025 where tires were rotated and balanced. About a month later, the rear differential failed. Car only has 87,000 miles on it and was not driven in any excessive manner. Wheel bearings made noise for two days and then the differential failed before car was able to be seen by the repair shop. This is an example of a critical flaw in the differential and is extremely dangerous because it could have seized up while I was driving my daughter to preschool. Vehicle has inspection report from two different repair shops (one being the dealer) confirming failure of rear differential. No warning lamps, messages, or othe symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, only two days of noisy wheel bearings indicating they needed replacement. Nissan issued service bulletin NTB10-0291 regarding this problem but no recall has been ordered. When can I expect a recall?

The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at 30 MPH just after a snowstorm, approaching an intersection, and attempting to slow the vehicle, the ABS failed to prevent the brakes from locking, causing the vehicle to skid. As a result, the driver briefly lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and only came to a complete stop after colliding with a snowbank approximately 200 yards from the roadway. The contact also stated that at that same moment, his wife became aware that the electronic power steering was not functioning properly, requiring increased effort in her attempt to regain control of the vehicle. The side curtain air bags were deployed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who had yet to provide a diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The contact stated that he and his wife both sustained various injuries as a result of the failure: scratches, bruises, and burns possibly caused by the curtain airbag deployment. However, they did not immediately seek medical treatment but planned to at a later date. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 109,000.

The car is slow to accelerate when stopped and after a few seconds will kick in and "peel out". It shutters, stalls, and goes fast. I was turning left on a yellow light and the car just stopped. The oncoming traffic had to slam on brakes, swerve to miss me and the car peeled out suddenly. I was nearly T-boned with my kids in car, then nearly hit other cars when accelerated extremely fast. The dealer did recreate the issue and says it needs a new CVT transmission for $7,500. No warning of this problem. I thought it was the fuel injector or bad gas at first and had the fuel injector cleaned. I was never told that Nissan is known for this problem. Once I took back to dealer at 101K miles, that's when I was told it needed replaced. Conveniently after the warranty expired. This was bought for Nissan Dealer as a "certified used car" but it is a very dangerous car to drive period.

The heat in my vehicle only works on the passenger side. It does not blow out warm or hot on the driver's side. This is due to a stripped actuator in the blend door. Yes, it is available for inspection upon request. I live in Colorado where it gets very cold. Because the heat doesn't work on the driver's side, the windshield doesn't defrost well. This is a hazard because I cannot see through my windshield when I'm driving and it's cold out. Yes, this problem was inspected and confirmed by a local Nissan Dealer in Lakewood, Colorado. August 2022 Passenger Vehicle Seat Belt system light came on, concern was if the seat belt would work when occupied. Vehicle was taken to Baytown Nissan for Passenger seat belt light malfunction, was advised to replace the Occupant Control Unit and Occupant Pressure Sensor with Callibration 3.0. The light eventually corrected itself. August 2023 The Passenger Airbag Light stayed on and says the Airbag is turned off when someone is seated in the vehicle, concern is occupant safety. Took vehicle to Baytown Nissan for diagnostic, code is b00a0 module malfunction, again advised to replace OCS Control and Callibrate. I have seen previous recalls on air bag malfunctions and would like to know why this is not a safety recall. This is my fourth Nissan vehicle and never had this problem and the other vehicles were older.

Check engine light P0776 Pressure control sol B. Recommend replace CVT unit due to internal failure. Mileage: 109,422 This vehicle was covered by the extended warranty to 84 months or 84,000 miles. It failed at 109.422 miles. This is shocking and unacceptable and expensive! Approximately $6,000 to repair/replace transmission which made the vehicle more costly than its trade in value. Repair estimate performed by South Austin Nissan. Contacted manufacturer and was referred to the Kbb class action website for information.

Occasionally, when attempting to start driving from a complete stop (from a stop sign, traffic light, etc.) the Rogue will delay to accelerate and not move more than a few miles per hour for a few seconds before fully engaging. This is a safety issue when attempting to turn left at a green light, or crossing streets from a stop sign because there is no way to tell if the Rogue will delay in accelerating until you press the gas pedal. I have found that this is more likely to start happening after driving in stop and go traffic or on a route that has frequent stops. Also, occasionally after driving in stop and go traffic, the Rogue will begin to rev high and not accelerate. In both cases, if the Rogue is turned off and restarted, the problem stops and the Rogue accelerates normally again.

While driving in the rain on July 11, 2023 and for the first time I encountered rain dropping into the inside of my vehicle from several different places in the front windshield of my vehicle. The rain was falling profusely onto the gearshift area which caused me to multitask and try to cover the area to prevent any damage. I was able to get off the expressway and make it to the gas station where I took several pictures and videos. There were no warning lights or signs on my vehicle. There was an additional issue earlier this year when my car would not accelerate over 35-40 mph and when it did the car would shake badly. The car would just randomn make loud sounds and force a hard push before the accelerations. I took it to a Nissan dealership to find out the transmission had to be replaced. While driving the vehicle it steers toward the right. I also have noise from the bottom of the car and it appears there is something loose or dragging which causes making a left or right turn hard.

On 4-27-2023 With no warning light's or any symptoms of problems, I made a left turn at a busy intersection and upon acceleration of the gas the car felt as if wanted to stall. I had a brief decline in power with a bit of locking of the steering wheel then it jolted forward and ran normal. I'm glad I was only a half mile from home to park it safely. On 4-28-2023 I was able to drive it a mile from home without incident to have the oil changed, as well as fuel injectors cleaned and radiator serviced, in hope that it would help with the issue, but it did not. I was able to get it home and as i was about to parallel park I put it in reverse and turned my wheels and it began locking of the wheels on and off. I am blessed to have made it home and not be on the road with my family.

I've ask dealership several times and last time they finally checked and said that something to do wiring and that if I had a crash that either airbags will deploy. I was driving along East Passaic Bloomfield, New Jersey it’s a double Saul line two-lane roadway with four major exits into it Garden State Parkway etc. the person in front of me turn left over the Saul lines into a driveway, then put the car in reverse to back out of the driveway, straight across the double Saul lines to his house on the same side as he was going south right in front of my car this roadway is like a highway. The car went into a skid which it shouldn’t have. right in front of my car this roadway is like a highway. The car went into a skid which it should know with the antilock brake system, and upon contact the airbags did that a ploy deploy And upon contact airbags, didn’t deploy my wife, and I have to – my knees hit the dashboard. The person that caused the accident his company with State Farm and they put me at 15% liability which is totally wrong. I was sick at the time when they were going over the money they took thousands of dollars from me now my car is destroyed. They paid me to fix it, which doesn’t even cover the cost of the repairs. The car would have not gotten into the accident if it didn’t skid I would have been able to stop. I need Nissan to do something either replace this car or repair it because the accident should not have occurred. Airbags did not deploy and we got hurt. I’m not looking a lawsuit nothing like that. I want my car just fixed or replaced and the car does have recalls for electrical and other problems

My wife and I were driving down the street 2017 Nissan rogue. Number two driver illegally backed across double solid yellow line to go into his driveway. I hit the brakes the car started to skid at 30 miles an hour with antilock brake system should’ve kicked in upon the crash. The airbags did not deploy and airbags. Come out anywhere from 8 miles an hour on I was a mechanic for a long time my wife banged up her shoulder and her back and I’m disabled as it is and I hurt my legs really bad, banging against the dashboard, the driver from the other car insurance paid us some money but it was even close to what it be for the repairs and I do not let them know about the airbags or the antilock brake system. This was very bad if we were at high speed we would have been killed. I did not document this anywhere. I did not put it on social media. I’m keeping it to myself for now , I have films in pictures of how the action occurred and the gentleman is still backing into the driveway. State farm blame me 15%. They scammed me I’ve been very sick I was in essential worker under the governor of New Jersey or Hackensack Meridian, Genewiz labs and Terry’s pharmacy that I made sure people got their medication‘s where others would not deliver or bring to them. I actually became very ill and now I walk with a walker . I’m a disabled man with a wrecked car. I have a very high car payment that I can afford and I need help with this. Tires---Kumho Solus KL 21 225/65R17 Bought 2 on 1/11/21--mileage on vehicle at time was 46798 Bought 2 on 4/12/21--mileage on vehicle at time was 51487 In January 2023 the vehicle began having noticeable vibration and "road" noise. Took it to the business where tires were purchased and had them rotate the tires. Over the course of 2 weeks the vibration and "road" noise became more prominent. I then took it to another business and asked them to take a close look at the tires and check balance on each. They found 2 that had large bulges in the tread area and 2 that had smaller bulges in the tread. I have turned the tires in to business where they were purchased to be returned to manufacturer for inpection.

Recall for water potentially leaking into drivers side dash harness connector…which could cause battery discharge and thermal damage to connector (along with other possible problems). About two weeks prior to receiving the recall letter…my Rogue started having major battery issues - such as, thick blue corrosion on and around both terminals, all down the cables/wiring, and circuit board attached. Got the alternator checked, bought a new battery, and still…same problems. It hasn’t been reliable enough to drive. The day I call to make an appointment at the Nissan Dealership, I received the letter of the recall (1/23/23). The letter states to call and make an appointment to get it fixed ASAP. After finally talking to someone who had little knowledge on the recall AND couldn’t even tell me what the part is or where it was. I was then informed that they do not have the parts to fix it because Nissan doesn’t have them available yet….and to call back in a couple weeks cause they had no knowledge when parts would even be available! After telling him my issues, he informs me that Nissan recommends not to drive it whatsoever and to unhook my battery completely…due to major fire potential. I live 25 minutes from town, out in the country with my 84 year old grandmother…with NO other vehicle options available. The dealership doesn’t offer any sort of rental car service and didn’t seem to care or even offer any other options. I have a job and a grandmother I look after. I’m not one to complain, but this is absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention the fact, the problems my car is experiencing, fall under this recall is VERY nerve racking to know I was at risk of my car catching on fire while driving it or even having my battery hooked up while it’s parked!

The contact owned a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the driver seat failed to move forward or backward. In order to adjust the driver seat excessive force was required and was able to be adjusted after several attempts. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the unknown repair was performed however the driver seat was still not able to be adjusted up or down. The contact then stated that while their husband was driving approximately 60 - 70 mph, the instrument panel suddenly glitched and the vehicle failed to accelerate. It seemed like the vehicle was coasting only. The center computer began turning off and on. The vehicle self-corrected. Next, the front passenger side window failed to move up and down till the driver side window had been moved first. Later that same day, while their husband was driving (mileage unknown) the vehicle suddenly shut completely off. The driver waited a few minutes and was able to drive the vehicle back home where they parked the vehicle. After being parked for approximately an hour the contact was informed by the police that the vehicle had caught on fire and was extinguished by the fire department. A police report was filed. My 2017 Nissan Rogue is accelerating and lunging on its own. My sister and her fiance were almost involved in two separate accidents due to this safety concern. My sister said as she was coming up to a stop light, the vehicle suddenly accelerated forward, causing her to have to swerve into the next lane to avoid the accident. She said the vehicle then acted like it did not have enough power to accelerate forward again once it had stopped, however, my sister stated as she was attempting to get home after this incident; the vehicle accelerated/lunged forward again resulting in her having to swerve into the parking lot of a store to avoid another accident. My sister also stated that the traction control light flashed she the vehicle's RPMs got really high while she was driving it. This light did not stay on, but the check engine light has. My sister stated that once she got the vehicle home, she placed the vehicle in park and suddenly the RPMs on the Rogue maxed out, almost like you are pushing the pedal all the way to the floor while the vehicle is in Park or Neutral. My sister stated that once the RPMs went back down, the vehicle then stalled and has not started since.

The car even after reprogramming ICC/ ADAS radar is still having similar problems over again. The car when driving on an open road suddenly stops and stalls with a malfunction sign and a crash signal in the middle of highway. The car then does not starts and the above message prevents the RPM from increasing. It drives at idle speed with no acceleration. The car fixes back itself some times and restarts driving fine and after few miles, again in the middle of road, same incident happened when it stalled again and same malfunction message appeared. There is an open investigation by NHSTA currently about this incident as reported in majority of 2017 Nissan Rogue. It is a huge safety concern with increased risk of injury or death to self, passengers, and others. Nissan is not taking accountability for this.

The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, the vehicle had unintendedly accelerated and then inadvertently decelerated. The vehicle was taken to three independent mechanics and diagnosed with mass air flow sensor failure. The mass air flow sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer. The dealer performed an oil change, a brake fluid change, and cleaned the throttle body. The dealer informed the contact to add a fuel injector cleaner to the vehicle twice a year. However, the failure recurred. The contact took the vehicle to Cherry Hill Nissan (2325 NJ-38, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002) and had another oil change and windshield wiper replacement. Cherry Hill Nissan informed the contact that the failure was related to a towel the contact had placed near the driver's side floor mat, which jammed the accelerator pedal. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

OVER THE LAST MONTH, I CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE THE FRONT END COLLISION CRASH SENSOR ERRONEOUSLY ENGAGING, ALMOST DAILY. I ALSO GET A FRONT END SENSOR MALFUNCTION WARNING. THE SENSOR WAS SUPPOSEDLY REPLACED TWICE BY THE DEALERSHIP WHILE UNDER WARRANTY, HOWEVER, I STILL CONTINUE TO HAVE THESE ERRORS POP UP. I ALSO HEAR, WHEN BACKING UP, A RUBBING SOUND LIKE THE SUSPENSION IS BAD ON THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. I NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP, BUT THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NO ISSUE FOUND. THE DRIVER'S SEAT CONSTANTLY SQUEAKS, LIKE SOMETHING IS LOSE UNDERNEATH (LIKE THE BOLTS ATTACHING IT TO THE FRAME). THERE IS ALSO A SQUEAKING NOISE THAT COMES FROM THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THE SOUND WAS COMING FROM THE PANARAMIC SUNROOF, AND THEY TIGHTENED THE BOLTS, HOWEVER, THE NOISE REMAINS. FREQUENTLY WATER BECOMES TRAPPED IN THE REAR TAIL LIGHTS AFTER GETTING A CAR WASH. THE LIGHTS ARE STILL FUNCTIONAL, FOR THE TIME BEING.

ON MARCH 16TH I HAD A ACCIDENT THAT WAS A RESULT OF A KNOWN ISSUE THAT NISSAN IS NOT ADDRESSING (MORE IF I AT WWW.NISSANPROBLEMS.COM/AEB ). BASICALLY, WHEN LEAVING A PARKING GARAGE MY CAR SUDDENLY MADE BEEP BEEP BEEP SOUNDS AND STOPPED ON ITS OWN AND THE CAR BEHIND ME HIT MY CAR. I HAVE ALREADY REACHED TO THE INSURANCE WHERE I WOULD JUST NEED TO PAY $500 DEDUCTIBLE FOR THE FIX HOWEVER THE FIX WOULD ONLY HANDLE THE BUMPER FIXING AND NOT THE FACT THAT THE CAR IS DEFECTIVE. I'D OBVIOUSLY DON'T WANT TO KEEP THIS CAR. IN THIS CASE I'D BE LOOKING FOR ASSISTANCE WITH NISSAN, WITH LEASE TERMINATION AND WITH BODY INJURIES. NISSAN REQUIRES THE CAR TO BE UNTOUCHED FOR THEIR 'INVESTIGATION' IN A CERTIFIED LOCATION (THEY CLAIM MY CURRENT SHOP IS NOT CERTIFIED EVEN THOUGH IT IS LISTED IN THEIR SITE IT IS) WHERE THE ENTIRE PROCESS WOULD TAKE BETWEEN 4-12 WEEKS. DURING THIS TIME THE CAR CAN'T BE TOUCHED AND OF COURSE NOT DRIVEN. NO RESOLUTION OFFERED TO MEANTIME TRANSPORTATION AND EXPENSE COVERAGE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED TO PAY 50 PERCENT OF THE REPAIR COSTS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SAFETY ISSUE WAS NOT ADDRESSED. DUPLICATED AND FOUND CAUSE ENGINE MOUNTS MISALIGNED AND VACUUM HOSE WAS RATTLING. ALSO HAD TO ADJUST THE BASE IDLE. BRAKE DUST AGAIN. CUP HOLDER DISASSEMBLED FROM THE ARMREST. COLLISION SENSOR WARNING LIGHT MALFUNCTION CAME ON WITHOUT JUSTIFIABLE CAUSE. MANUFACTURER DEFECT WITH THE FRONT GRILL (WARPED) DUPLICATED. THE ENTIRE GRILL WAS REPLACED. CHIRPING IN THE WINDOW. DUPLICATED AND THE SURFACE AREA WAS CLEANED WHICH OCCURRED AGAIN. DETECTED IT WAS THE SEATBELT HARNESS. THE CAR HAD A POPPING NOISE WHEN TURNING AND IN REVERSE. DUPLICATED COMING FROM THE MOUNT. INSTALLED NEW COIL, MOUNT BOOT, AND DAMPENER. SEVERAL ISSUES HAVE OCCURRED AND THERE'S MORE. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE NEITHER RELIABLE. NISSAN HAS A TSB OUT FOR AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM THAT HAS THEM RESET THE COMPUTER BUT IT DOES NOT FIX ANY ISSUES. NISSAN TOLD ME TO GET THE PROBLEMS TO STOP I NEED TO CYCLE THE KEY. THE REAR STOP LIGHTS DID NOT COME ON WHEN THE POWER WENT DOWN. I WAS ON A 5 LANE HWY AND COULD HAVE BEEN HIT FROM BEHIND.
