I am writing to complain about this known recall as it has been unresolved for six months and is severe: Jun 26,2025 Manufacturer Recall NumberR25D1 NHTSA Recall Number25V-437 Recall StatusRecall Incomplete I have called several Nissan dealers and they are aware of issue but have no direction from manufacturer.

I was advised by the dealership that my EGR cooler needs replaced due to it failing. My car was acting like it was going to stall out on several different occasions and the malfunction warning light would also come on. The car would have no heat due to all the antifreeze leaking out. I have white smoke coming out of the tailpipe with a strong odor. I’ve had the car maybe 6 months! There are a lot of complaints regarding this issue that have been fixed under the latest engine recall but I’m being told I have to pay for it to be fixed. I find it odd there’s so many people with the same issue and is being rectified due to the engine recall

I am filing a complaint regarding my 2022 Nissan Rogue SV AWD, which has an active safety recall with no available remedy. I was unaware of this recall at the time of lease, as the dealer did not inform me. After confirming the recall, I also found that it cannot currently be repaired. When I notified the dealer about the recall, they dismissed my concerns and hung up the phone, when I was trying to address the issue, and come to find out, the sales man who sold me the vehicle doesn’t even work there anymore and I could t contact him at all.

Losing power with the vehicle, 6 weeks ago, and have been told that the turbo package has to be replaced. In checking with the part replacement, it’s on back order from the manufacturer and no firm date has been given by Dealership on when this will be resolved. This occurred with no check engine light or warning system alerting me. Was unable to drive faster than 40 mph, putting me and my family at risk of being involved in a serious accident for those able to drive faster than we were. There is a current recall on the engine with no remedy per the dealership and corporate representive but they consider the “turbo package” not part of the engine? Concerned with the turbo package on back order that there are more vehicles experiencing the same problem that I am having and that there maybe some “cover up” by the manufacturer and want to make sure that this is being investigated. Please advise next steps

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). However, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. No warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to move to the side of the road. The contact called Roadside Assistance, and the vehicle was jump-started. However, the failure persisted. The vehicle was towed to a shopping center, where an AutoZone was located. An employee from Auto Zone used a reader and retrieved DTC: P0012, P0196, C10511c, C108086, and C10B344. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the water control valve had failed, and the transmission mount needed to be replaced. The dealer replaced the transmission mount and the water control valve; however, the dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was still vibrating. The contact had safety concerns about driving the vehicle since the part was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.

See attached document for complaint. I have gotten all your notices about the recall, and we advised our dealer Courtesy Nissan now Cooley Nissan of Richardson, Texas and t hey said they will advise us when they are prepared to correct the faults. Unfortunately, everything you describe in the literature happened to the above car before we received your notices and I spent almost $15,000 correcting the problems. We were advised at the time that we did not put oil in the car causing all the warning lights to come on even though we regularly went to an oil change company to change the oil. I was told they could put a new engine in, and the cost would be about $10,000. I reluctantly agreed and realized the man that advised us to do this at Courtesy/Cooley, I believe, was fired the next day or in any event he was no longer there after that. Sometime after that all our warning lights came on again and we were back at Cooley, and they said the alternator needs changing so they changed that charged me around $2000 and were ready to return the car. That day before picking up the car I was in the sales department trying to trade the car for another car and they advised me they could not do the exchange because the red lights are still on! This is the day I am picking up the car from having the alternator changed and I would be penalized because of the mileage on the car also. I explained I have a new engine and should not be penalized for the old engine's mileage. I went back to the man who serviced the alternator change and he said don't worry about the light being on as they can fix that as they found t he motor mounts broken which were re placed when the new engine was put in. I then authorized them to fix the car so the lights would go off, and it was hit with another big bill. I still cannot believe the car was being returned to me with the warning lights on. I have heard Cooley has a very bad reputation in Dallas and if these are examples then I understand where those comments come from. I would like to be reimbursed for these overcharges resulting I believe comes from the recall problem at its origin.

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the vehicle was running abnormally rough. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to provide a specific diagnosis in relation to the MIL. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); the VIN was included, but parts were not yet available to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 51,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. While the contact's husband was driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact's husband noticed that the vehicle was idling rough. The vehicle accelerated abnormally rough while the accelerator pedal was depressed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was driven to the shoulder of the road and turned off. While the contact's husband stated was attempting to restart the vehicle, the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the dealer; however, the dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The dealer requested that a master technician inspect the vehicle. The master technician inspected the vehicle, and the vehicle was diagnosed with a coolant leakage into the cylinder; however, there was no evidence of a coolant leak coming from the coolant reservoir. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle had been with the dealer for a month. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the parts for the recall repair were not available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 84,000.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

My 2022 Nissan Rogue has a very strong smell of gas fumes in the cab. I have complained to the Nissan dealership where I purchased the vehicle numerus times yet no fix has been offered. I finally do have an appointment to have it looked at after enough complaints got through to them. I am hoping they have a fix for it. I am concerned about my health and that of my passengers. I am also concerned that this can become a fire risk. This smell started happening about six months into owning the vehicle and takes place in both cold and warm weather.

Have been smelling gasoline inside the vehicle. Everytime the heat is turned on it smells terribly like gas.
Dec 18, 2023
After owning the car for about four months, the car smells like gasoline. The smell of gasoline fills the cabin and if parked in the home, the whole house smells of gasoline. My children get sick if they have to be in the car for more than 45 minutes. Nissan of Boulder claims that the fuel system is working fine, but it is not. Other owners of 2022 Nissan Rogue are experiencing the same problem without any remedy or recall from Nissan corporation.
Jun 04, 2023
I am joining the many others in reporting a very strong fuel order (raw gasoline) that enters the cabin and when parked in the garage, spews tons of raw gasoline fume, which I believe could eventually cause fire/explosion. This makes the SUV very difficult to be inside and drive. We do have the 3cyl turbo engine. Current mileage is approximately 3200. Dealer reports unable to verify and cannot proceed due to the SUV being in "engineering status".
May 22, 2023
I have leased this vehicle since May 13, 2022. Soon after taking delivery, I started to notice a faint smell of gasoline every day when it is enclosed in my garage. The smell has been getting stronger and I am very concerned. There have been times when I can now smell the gasoline when I enter my car when it has been parked outside. I did take it back to my dealer and informed them of my concern. They told me there was no viable leaks and said Nissan is aware of the problem but there is no fix at this time. My dealership has tried to assure me that the vehicle is safe. I have gone on Nissan Rogue owner forums and many owners have the same complaint but no resolution. This morning the smell of gasoline in my garage was very strong. How can this be safe for my health and for the risk of fire?

There is a weird sound that comes on after a few minutes of starting the car that appears to come from under the hood on the right side. The touchscreen will go black and then just pop back up. Apple car play stopped working after the screen went black. The traction control light randomly pops up. There are times when the car is in motion and it feels like it wants to stall but just lags then resumes as normal. I took the car in for it's routine oil change and regular check up to the dealership where I purchased the car and was informed upon their completion that a oil pressure warning light came on. The mechanics informed me that I'll need to take it to the Nissan dealership to address this issue due to the warranty as well as the other engine recall. I contacted the dealership to get this scheduled. The Nissan dealership informed me that they will not be addressing the recall issue that I received in the mail. I then asked what happens if the car blows up then and was informed that, that shouldn't happen and if it does well then I guess you'll have a case. I informed him that it has been doing weird things and making a weird sound under the hood. He stated that he would call me back regarding my concerns but he didn't.

While driving on the interstate at normal highway speed, the sunroof of my 2022 Nissan Rogue SV AWD suddenly shattered and exploded without any warning or visible impact. The noise was extremely loud. The weather was clear, and there were no vehicles or objects nearby that could have caused the breakage. It was extremely scary. This was a completely spontaneous failure, and I am very concerned about the safety implications, especially if the interior sunroof cover had been open. I’m researching and found similar complaints about Nissan vehicles and sunroofs suddenly shattering for no reason. This incident needs to be investigated for possible defects in the sunroof glass or design. I have photo evidence and can provide additional details upon request. The vehicle has not yet been inspected.

I had been having issues with my vehicle randomly stalling out when I would start it and put it into reverse. It also was hesitating during acceleration at times. On 9/2/25 I took it to a Nissan dealership for these issues and was told they couldn’t find anything wrong. I specifically asked if it could be related to the recall I had just received notice about in the mail and was told ‘probably not’. The issues persisted off and on the next few weeks and I was about to call them to let them know things were still not working right and some things had gotten worst (like almost stalling out in the middle of the day at a light). On 10/21/25 (6 weeks after the dealership said there was nothing wrong with my car) I started having major problems driving home and the heat would not work. I barely got it home and by then it was running very rough. Husband looked and said there was almost no antifreeze and added some. He said I couldn’t drive it and we had to tow it in the morning. Tow truck driver nearly started it on fire because he couldn’t get it into service mode and it started smoking terribly for the 30 seconds it was on. Nissan Dealership (different one) said there were five 2022 Nissan Roque’s with the same problem ahead of me. After almost a week they called to tell me Nissan is replacing the ‘engine long block and turbo’. I’ve had to rent a car at $400/week and have no idea how long this is going to take. Thankful I wasn’t driving when things got really bad. Also - NO service lights have ever come on indicating anything was wrong at any point.

While driving and accelerating from 60 to 70mph the engine chugged, lost power. I was thankfully able to get to the side of the road safely and my child was not in the vehicle. As soon as I got it to the side of the road the engine emissions malfunction, the low oil pressure and both safe indicator lights for the rear and front crash came on. A message popped up stating: emissions malfunction power reduced service immediately. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership. As on currently, almost a week later, the dealership still does not know what happened.

Related to PE23-023. 2022 Nissan Rogue with 77,000 miles first lost heating ability and then would stall and not start. Problem was diagnosed by an ASE Certified shop/tech. Diagnostic inspection revealed 2 quarts of coolant missing and contamination in the cylinders. To start the recommendation was to replace the EGR Cooler and Turbo, after reviewing similar complaints, I have chosen not to do the repairs as it doesn't sounds like it will fix the root cause and I am not inclined to replace the motor, turbo, Egr etc only for this to occur again. I plan to trade out of this vehicle at a significant financial loss and replace it to ensure the safety of my family. I would like to be a part of the investigation, if in the future Nissan is held accountable for this engineering failure I may be able to recoup some of my financial hardship.

My 2022 Nissan Rouge S model began experiencing a strong gas smell inside the vehicle. Upon further inspection of the oil dipstick it smells heavily of gas. It has been to the dealership twice with absolutely no help or answers. It has also caused my engine oil levels to rise. I am concerned not only from a monetary stand point but more importantly from a safety standpoint i.e. engine stalls, fires etc.
Oct 15, 2024
I purchased a 2022 Nissan Rogue in October 2022. Almost immediately I started noticing a smell of gasoline not only while I was driving but more so after I pulled the car in the garage and turned it off. The smell was very strong. I called the dealership and made a service appointment (they should have the service records). They checked it out, said they couldn't find anything leaking, etc. but that it was a known issue, Nissan knew about it, but there wasn't a fix in place yet. I also received a recall notice to have a part on the fuel pump replaced and that was completed. It did not fix the problem. I still smell fuel when I park my car in the garage. I'm very worried about the fumes and the problem that's causing them. I am also very concerned about oil dilution and the damage that is doing to my car's engine and the cost of repairs I may have in the future. PLEASE help us with this. This is a huge problem and if you Google it, it's affecting so many people. PLEASE hold Nissan accountable and help us get resolution. As individuals we're getting no where and it's costing us as far as our health and those that ride in the car with us as well as costing us in repairs or replacement of engine systems due to oil dilution. PLEASE act quickly and help with this known problem. Car was purchased from and serviced by Marshall Motors in Salina, Kansas. Thank you!

My vehicle makes a rattling sound, especially when accelerating, and it seems to be coming from the engine compartment or front drive train. The recall (25V-437) has something to do with engine bearings. I'm afraid that the engine might shutdown, which is a possible risk cited by Nissan. The pending remedy is 4 months in the making, but still nothing as of this writing. What gives??

Originally I took my vehicle into Nissan of Gadsden due to issues with the EGR System Failure in April 2025. The egr system was already replaced once a year before, but due to past recalls they replaced the system without appropriate diagnosis/scanning dtc codes. They had the car for 2 weeks and after picking the vehicle up the motor shattered itself while traveling at interstate speeds almost causing accident due to rapid declaration. The motor was diagnosed as no reparable and gave no solutions. After 4 months of calling and making complaints, it was determined that the vehicle fell under the Recall 25V-437 / R25A8. It took them a month to get approved and install the new motor and turbo at Hallmark Nissan of Birmingham. I was called to pick the vehicle up 09/22/2025 after repair. Upon returning home, vehicle would not exceed 60mph from its own power, engine light and engine malfunction light came on, and vehicle would slow to unsafe speeds on the interstate when trying to overcome hills. I called the service department and notified them of this and they told me to drive the vehicle over 50 miles back to the dealership at speeds not safe for highway travel. They diagnosed that the turbo that they just installed went out again. I also received a letter that Hallmark Nissan would pay off the car note the day I picked up the vehicle. Upon retuning to the dealer and asking to accept the offer, they refused and stated it was just a marketing tactic. All of this has been documented by Audio and Video Recording.

Recall 25V-437 on my 2022 Nissan Rogue. On 07/16/2025 I brought the car to Greenacres Nissan for the recall service. The dealer told me it was fixed, but the NHTSA site still shows “Recall Incomplete.” I followed up several times, but the dealer only sends the same generic reply and won’t confirm if the repair was done. This makes me feel unsafe driving the vehicle, and I need to know if the recall was actually completed.
Sep 20, 2025
Regards to the recall-I have had this/ my rogue back and forth to Nissan 6-7 times with the same complaints of noise, shaking, power decrease on the highway to where I had to pull over, a few times, engine mounts were swapped and still have the same problems. I called about the recall and was told I had to wait until there’s a remedy and I advised them that I feel unsafe driving it, they then told me they could take the car until there’s a remedy but only give me a kicks, which under normal circumstances would be fine however, I recently had hip surgery and can’t be low to the ground or be at a 90 degree angle. I advised the dealership of that and they stated they can’t give me a different car. I find this unacceptable as it’s not my fault with the engine repair , I can’t drive it as it’s unsafe and driving the kicks could possibly damage my hip, it’s not safe for me either way. I had no choice but to take the kicks however, it’s painful for me to drive and if it damages my hip, I feel Nissan would have to be held liable as the choices I was given are dangerous for me either way. I can’t remember the date I started bringing it in for the same issues but will approximate it below, it’s been since I bought it. Now this recall makes sense to why the car is not running right and why the mounts being changed did nothing! Can you please give me a different car that would be ok to drive with my hip.

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds, there was a yellow box displayed, and the CVT warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The dealer informed the contact that there was no warranty coverage on the vehicle. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle with transmission failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, Suburban Nissan of Farmington Hills (37901 Grand River Ave., Farmington Hills, MI 48335) and it was determined that the vehicle was operating as designed. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle was smoking. The contact stated that the check engine and CVT warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, Nissan of Canton (42175 Michigan Ave., Canton Township, MI 48188) and was diagnosed and determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case and confirmed there was no warranty or recall coverage on the vehicle for the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 48.

The vehicle, a 2022 Nissan Rogue with the 1.5L VC-Turbo engine, suddenly entered severe limp mode: unable to exceed 35-40 mph on flat roads, barely 10 mph on hills, with high RPM and noise. The malfunction indicator light illuminated along with "engine malfunction service now" message and triangle warning light. These symptoms exactly match the early warning signs in safety recall 25V-437 for defective engine bearings that can cause progressive degradation, engine damage, or failure. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Nissan dealer, who performed the recall inspection (oil pan drop) but reportedly found no metal debris. The dealer then diagnosed separate issues—oil temperature sensor, coolant temperature sensor replacement, full oil pan replacement for minor seepage, and other warning lights—and quoted approximately $1,900 in customer-paid repairs, claiming they are unrelated to the recall or warranty despite the symptoms aligning precisely with the recall's description of bearing-related limp mode. This created a safety risk due to sudden loss of motive power while driving, increasing the potential for a crash. As a full-time cancer researcher and PhD student who depends on this vehicle for daily lab commuting and time-sensitive experiments, the breakdown and repair dispute have caused major hardship: over a week without transportation, extensive time coordinating tows, appointments, and escalations with Nissan Consumer Affairs, and disruption to critical research. The dealer confirmed the limp mode and warnings, and inspected the vehicle under the recall procedure. Warning lamps/messages appeared suddenly prior to towing; no unusual noises noted earlier. The affected components (engine controls/sensors potentially stressed by the bearing defect) remain at the dealer for inspection. The recall should provide free ECM reprogramming, oil change, and gasket replacement even without debris, yet the dealer is charging for diagnostics and repairs from the same defect.

While driving at highway speed, the vehicle suddenly lost all engine power without warning and rapidly decelerated in traffic. This created a severe safety risk, and the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The issue was later connected to open recall R25A8, involving engine bearing failure and sudden loss of power. The dealership confirmed that no inspection procedure or repair remedy exists and stated that they have no timeline for when Nissan will provide one. Despite this, the dealer returned the vehicle to me and claimed it was safe to drive, even though the problem remains unresolved. Nissan Consumer Affairs refuses to communicate in writing and only provides verbal phone calls. Each time they call, they state that they will “provide an update in three days,” but no real progress or written documentation has been provided. Meanwhile, I am left with a vehicle that experienced a complete loss of power on the freeway and remains unsafe to operate. Independent diagnostics showed multiple critical fault codes involving the engine, ECM, ABS pump motor, and brake control modules. Warning lights appeared only after the failure; there were no warnings prior to the incident. The safety defect is ongoing, unresolved, and there is currently no available remedy from the manufacturer, leaving the vehicle unsafe and posing continued riskI am requesting a full buyback of the vehicle with compensation for all related losses. I have already communicated this request to Nissan, and as mentioned above, they only call with delayed updates and do not resolve the issue.

When I first received the care it would either be sluggish or delay when accelerating. My CVT power reduced light started to come on at 44,000 miles. This happened for a total of 6 times before the dealership was able to diagnose it. The transmission was finally replaced at 55K miles. My car is now at 59,975 miles and not only has the CVT power reduced light come back on, but now the engine light has also appeared. I also having issues with the screen shutting down in the middle of driving. The dates of all these incidences have been ongoing from 6/2024 to 7/2025.

Bought a 2022 Nissan Rouge on 9/2024 from Car Dealer. In November 2024, the car would not start. Jump start worked so we thought it might be battery related so bought a New Battery. AND Took it back to the dealer in the same month November 2024 as i was worried about the car shutting down in the middle of the highway and can't restart. DANGEROUS. The Car Dealer did an inspection(or so they said) and said no problems with the car but they would not give me a printout to confirm. Said that their printer and email was not working. Fast forward, May 2025, while DRIVING the car on [XXX] , it started shaking and shut off. . This time, it would not RESTART. Had it jump started several times but NOTHING worked. SO I Had to tow the 2022 Nissan Rouge from there to the Nissan Dealer Servicing (Springfield, NJ) THEN I found out about the recalls and about the electrical problems and with THE ROUGE NOT STARTING. AND As per Nissan Servicing center in Springfield, NJ, The engine is completely shot and needs to be replaced. Total cost $14000. AND THEY REFUSED TO FIX IT so i had it towed back to my driveway where it has been sitting BECAUSE THE SUV IS NO LONGER FUNCTIONAL and i do not have $14000 to pay for a new engine. I bought the Nissan Rouge for $18000 only 8 months ago and have only added $5000 miles since and have a active car loan. ALSO THE VEHICLE DID NOT GIVE ANY TYPE OF WARNING SIGNAL/MESSAGES/NOTIFICATION BEFORE SHUTTING DOWN COMPLETELY before shutting off. I have INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that a few months after she purchased the vehicle, she noticed an abnormally strong gasoline odor inside and outside the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the vehicle was inspected, but no failure was found. The contact stated that the odor became extremely strong. The vehicle was taken to another dealer where the contact was informed that the manufacture was aware of the issue; however, there was no remedy, and that the cause of the odor was due to the winter gasoline blend. The contact stated that she was concerned that the fuel odor might cause a fire. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was provided a case number and advised to call the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while pulling out of the driveway, the check engine warning light illuminated. Additionally, the vehicle made an abnormal sound while pulling into the driveway later that day. The vehicle was taken to a local Pep Boys, where it was diagnosed that the failure was related to the emission and the fuel system. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump had failed and needed to be replaced; however, the dealer informed the contact that the parts were on back order. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,900.

I purchased my new 2022 Nissan Rogue a few months ago. I do not drive a whole lot seeing as I am working from home. Yet I have noticed on many occasions that after going out and running my errands, I come home and park in my garage and my garage smells of very strong gas fumes. Yesterday I brought my car in to the Nissan Dealership for its first oil change and the service attendant asked me how I was liking it. So, I brought it up to him about the strong gas smell in my garage after driving car. He informed me that this is not the first time that they have heard this. He said they are researching at this time but have not been able to locate the issue. He stated that they were thinking it was the winter gas and I said no way. If gas was the issue, why is it only the 2022 Nissan Rogue having an issue with the gas. Makes no sense. He stated there is no recall on it yet seeing as they cannot figure out the issue, but I will most likely be seeing a recall once they figure it out. They noted on receipt that "they were unable to duplicate concern, no fuel leak at fuel lines or tank. Nissan is aware of issue and seeking a remedy, customer will be notified." This is very scary to me, it is a strong smell, like there is raw gas leaking. I am afraid of it catching fire or just the fact of inhaling these fumes are not safe. This is a huge safety hazard and Nissan does not seem to care. Are they waiting for something horrible to happen before they take this seriously?

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that there was an abnormal clicking sound coming from the vehicle. While driving at 30 MPH, the vehicle stalled with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where the engine mounts were replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case, but declined the buyback request. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

The contact's girlfriend owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while his girlfriend was driving 65 MPH, the vehicle shuddered, went into LIMP Mode, and lost motive power. There was no warning light illuminated. The driver was able to veer to the side of the road. The vehicle failed to restart and was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the engine was blown and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: PE23023 (Engine and Engine Cooling, Engine). The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 72,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at 5 MPH, the front passenger’s wheel locked up, and the vehicle failed to steer as intended. The vehicle was steered to the side of the road and inspected. The contact became aware that the tie rod end had fractured. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the tie rod end needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 50,000.

Tie rod on passenger side of car broke after pulling out of driveway. dealership mechanic stated the rods were previously bent which caused it to break. I biggest issue about this, the car was at the dealership 6/23/25 because the car went into limp mode and abe lights were coming in. They did a final inspection and did not report the tie rod was bent.

buttons such as the selector wheel on the left side of the steering wheel stick and it keeps wanting to cycle through settings because of it. There is no way to pop it back out, and it remains stuck. From reading online many people have had this issue and the only thing Nissan will do is offer to supply you with a new steering wheel. One person has a 2023 and they are on their third or fourth steering wheel because of this issue and Nissan will do nothing to fix it. it is ridiculous that cars this now have this problem and people keep having to pay for out-of-pocket. We are shortly outside of our warranty and are stuck dealing with this now.

On [XXX] I was driving out of state on the highway and abruptly I received an engine warning on my dashboard, my car immediately went into "limp" mode. Pulled over on the highway as car was now un operable. The car received 2 diagnostic tests via the closest mechanic on 10/6 which stated my engine has gone. The car than was towed to Victory Nissan of Mechanicsville who completed the second diagnostic test on 10/13/2025 who stated my engine and transmission needs to be fixed corrected. There are no current remedies so I would have to pay for the cost and when a remedy is provided by Nissan, then I would be able to provide then the invoice for reimbursement. The car is currently still at Victory Nissan of Mechanicsville. They also had no loaners available so I have been carless thus far. Prior to the failure there were no other symptoms or warning lights before [XXX] on my vehicle. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I was driving in the fast lane on the highway, when the vehicle seemingly lost all power and the Instrument Cluster displayed a warning stating “Engine Malfunction, Power reduced, service now.” I was then only able to travel at about 35mph off of the highway to a safe location to pull over. This has happened twice within a week, the second time being on [XXX]. After the first time, Mossy Nissan of Kearney Mesa stated they fixed it (see attached text message). The second occurrence, it was identical circumstances and loss of power. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Our vehicle stalled once while idle at an ATM. Upon restart we brought it to our local mechanic for investigation, they diagnosed the issue as a Turbo Sensor problem costing about $700. They recommended bringing it to Nissan for further review rather than charge us for the repair. We picked up the vehicle the next day and brought it to our local Nissan dealership where they confirmed it was in face the turbo causing the issue. After discovering this and quoting us a repair of $7,200 they did a pressure test overnight only to discover there was coolant leaking into the engine and that a new block will now need to be installed for the vehicle to work. The new cost is $11,500 to repair. The vehicle is a 2022 Nissan Rogue that we are the only owners with regular maintenance. When we dropped off the vehicle at both locations there was no check engine light on and there were no signs of engine failure. The Sales Manager went to check the vehicle and confirmed the engine no longer works.

This vehicle was manufactured on 01/2022, I purchased it new in 05/2022, and it currently has 49,000 miles. Nissan Manufacturer Recall Number R25A8, NHTSA Recall Number 25V-437, and the recall is incomplete, as a remedy not yet available. The dealerships cannot tell me if my car may be affected by engine failure and Nissan extending warranties on the engine does not make me any safer from a potential engine failure that could result in an accident. Additionally, on 9/16/2025 my 30 cameras stopped working., I took it to the dealership for diagnosis and was told it needs an AVN Control Unit ($1500 for part and labor) and potentially a Main Harness ($4650 parts and labor). The AVN Control Unit is required for most of the safety features including: Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Lane Keeping Assistance. It seems unreasonable that a vehicle that is less than 4 years old with less than 50,000 miles would have an electronic failure already. Of course, the warranty was 3 years or 36,000 miles.

On 3/25/2023 with less than 800 miles on the vehicle, the throttle got stuck. The cruise control was on but NOT activated. After passing a vehicle on a 3 lane interstate, the vehicle accelerated on its own to over 100mph. I hit the cruise control button to turn it off, but the car continued to accelerate on its own. I hit the brake to slow down and try to get it to shut off (thinking if was a cruise control issue), but every time I lifted my foot off the brake pedal, it would accelerate to speeds of 90-110mph. I continued to brake about 7-8 times, then I heard a loud "kurplunk" in the engine, and it stopped. It continued to drive normally for the rest of the trip. The Rogue was taken to the dealership and checked out. I was told the "floor mats got stuck on the gas pedal and not to drive with both the carpeted mats and the rubber mats in the vehicle." I told the service manager this obviously was not the problem and there was a bigger issue, and that did not explain the loud sound coming from the engine. Upon leaving the dealership that same day on 3/30/2023, I accelerated to get on an onramp to Interstate I35, and the RPM stuck at 3200 and would not go down. The engine roared. It was in Sport Mode, so I switched the vehicle to Standard and the RPMs dropped to 2000-2100. I circled back around and went back to the dealership and had the female servie manager ride with me. The engine continued to roar at high RPMs, and the service manager said this was "normal." We returned to the dealership; nothing further was checked out on the vehicle. 7/28/2023 At 4442 miles, I accelerated to get on an onramp to I20 and the accelerataor got stuck again; I was riding the brakes in traffic on the onramp to get the vehicle to slow down. If i removed my foot from the brakes, it accelerated on its own. I kept my foot on the brake and kept pumping until I heard the loud "kurplunk" and it quit once again. This has happend two more times in December of 2023.

I purchased my 22 Rogue Feb 22 brand new. First Issue: January 2023(2600 miles), engine oil drain pan had to be replaced. Apparently, it broke during oil change at dealership. I've heard others complain about the same thing. Second issue, 6500 miles (June 2024): *suv begun driving weird. While driving the vehicle jerks, shudders, and acts like it is going to lose power. Losing power / shuddering while driving can be a danger to myself or others driving around me if suv unexpectedly reduces in speed. This happens during both high and low speeds. *Suv also stalls when trying to accelerate from a complete stop. Not sure if this was related to the software update (recall) I done at the dealership June 24, but issue 2 started immediately afterwards. Suv was taken to dealership when I started experiencing issue 2. Dealership had vehicle for 2 weeks, but return vehicle and said nothing was wrong. They said the Nissan Engineer that came out found no issues as well. They did mention the Turbo lagging, but sd that's normal. Fast forward, 6 weeks later (Aug 24), returned suv to dealership because performance is worse AND now engine light is on. Dealership advised light is bcz fuel pump needs to be replaced, but stated different than the current fuel pump recall on some 22 Rogues. How is this possible? Based on my mileage, my car is still nearly brand new. Vehicle is at dealership now pending repairs.

The problem started 3 months after purchase. It has a very loud noise that comes from the engine i think. It has been inspected by two different dealerships. Both insisted the noise was normal. After going more than 10 times to the dealership where i purchased my Rogue, i called nissan directly and open an investigation. Nissan sent an engineer and he said that the noise was weird but he didnt know what was going on. He also said that he was going to see if he could get me a discount for a new car. But nissan said no. I have a case number with nissan in case this is needed. This has been an issue that has been going on for two years now. Two years!! Then last month or so the check engine has been turning on and off. Today I went to make the inspection and the Rogue did not pass. And they told me the engine has fuel. After going to the inspection place the suv stopped working. It did not start. Had to call the dealership and I talked to person that has been checking the suv for the last two years and he said to take it to them. And I had to tow my Rogue to the dealership. It has been a very stressful experience and no one seems to care about this issue. My health and my safety is on the line. I don’t know what else to do or who to talk to. I hope you guys help. Thank you.

Gas fumes from engine compartment – after the car has been driven 20-30 mins enough to heat up the engine and then parked (turned off) for 10-15 minutes a strong smell of gasoline is detected, you can smell it either by sniffing in the front grill or if you start it and use the outdoor air circulation in the cabin it will come through the vents. There are enough fumes to fill a 1 car garage in 30 mins with a thick odor of gasoline. The fumes are nauseating and cause headaches. My salesman at Hawk Nissan suggested changing gas to a top tier brand so I starting using Mobile but no help with the fume issue. After speaking with a service manager at Woodfield Nissan, he said that he’s had a few cars come in recently with the same problem. Nothing is showing up mechanically so they chalked it up to a “break-in period” and/or possibly a coating used in manufacturing. Brought it back to Woodfield Nissan a couple weeks later stating the oil dipstick has a strong smell of gasoline same smell I get in the cabin and around the car. He found nothing unusual with the oil smell. I took it into Hawk Nissan Oct 2022 with 800 miles now with 2943 miles still having the issue. Not sure if this is affecting my MPG but I'm only getting 18-20 MPG mix of city & highway driving. Recently I'm seeing a lot of the same complaints with the 2023 models.

I am submitting this complaint regarding a persistent water intrusion defect in my 2022 Nissan Rogue Platinum that Nissan has not formally addressed through a recall, despite published Technical Service Bulletins acknowledging the issue. During periods of heavy rain and when using automated car washes, water enters the cabin from the sunroof area on both the passenger and driver sides. I discovered this only after observing blue soap residue running down the interior side panels, and upon further inspection have since noticed signs of mold growth inside the vehicle within the past month. After researching this problem, I learned that this issue is well documented and widespread among 2021–2023 Nissan Rogue vehicles. Nissan has issued multiple Technical Service Bulletins, including TSB BT21-020B, identifying defective sunroof drain clips and revised repairs. However, Nissan has not issued a recall or formal owner notification, despite the clear pattern of failure reported online across consumer forums, Reddit, and Nissan owner communities with hundreds, if not thousands, of similar complaints. I was forced to seek repair through a local Nissan dealership, which charged me $289.24 for the repair. This defect is not the result of wear and tear or misuse, but of an inherently defective design component that allows water intrusion into sealed vehicle compartments. This defect creates health risks from mold exposure, risks damage to interior components and electronics, and reduces vehicle resale value. I believe Nissan should have issued a safety recall rather than shifting financial responsibility to owners for correcting a known manufacturing defect. Continued water intrusion and mold formation represent a health and safety concern that warrants NHTSA review. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this matter and require Nissan to issue a recall or provide reimbursement coverage to affected owners. Thank you for your consideration.

I have had significant problems with this car. Within the first month, I had to replace the battery. In September 2024 the car went from 70 mph to 40 mph with no warning and then the engine malfunction lights came on. It was supposedly fixed by Jeff Wyler Nissan Colerain. In October of 2024 the exact same thing occurred. We went from 70 mph to 40 mph and were stranded for hours yet again. Jeff Wyler Nissan Eastgate supposedly fixed the problem this time with new electrical components. Most recently, in December of 2024, the exact thing occurred AGAIN. We went from 70 to 40 and had to have the car towed for the third time in three months and the fourth time in 2 years. It is currently at Jeff Wyler Eastgate again - supposedly waiting on a temperature component - which they think is the engine problem. All of these incidences occurred on a highway and could have had devastating consequences.

I live in Melbourne Florida, when going to pick up the wife I turn on the ADAS as I was leaving the house and I got this message. Also the sun also blocks the vision of the back-up camera Dealer said it was in the sun to long, but when I told him the collision icon was on he said to make an appointment to have it looked at. Appointment is August 10. Question: If these are safety devises shouldn't the work all the time.

3/21/2023 Rear crash warning went off and car would not move leaving me in the middle of the road blocking both lanes of traffic. Car eventually permitted me to go forward however crash warning continued to blink. It’s recorded on Video the flashing warnings. Had the car at dealer for recall of Head unit on 11/16 and has been back 3 times since and Has not been repaired. On Approx2/62024 I had a critical Error appear on my screen and the ABS took the car from 70 MPH to under 40 on the highway for no reason. On 2/7 I was called to Bring the car back to dealer and was given a rental car for over a month, there was a firewall repair and fuel line repair. Still no head unit with no ETA! From my understanding head unit will hopefully fix sensors from randomly going off. Dispite having video of it happening, Nissan can’t duplicate so warning issues are not repaired. The car is dangerous but have no other means of transportation and it can’t seem to get repaired because they don’t have the parts yet still have the parts to continue to produce them.

There is an ongoing problem with a fuel (gasoline) odor in the cabin. This most commonly occurs in a warm start situation, ie the car has sat for 15 minutes to an hour after driving. When the car starts there is a strong gas smell which does not dissipate for anywhere from 10 minutes up to 45 minutes. Strangely this seems worse when the vehicle has backed up prior to shutting down. This does not seem to be a problem when cold (sitting overnight or for 4 or more hours) at this point. I am concerned that this may result in a fire and the obvious issues regarding health concerns related to breathing gas vapor. The dealer says they are aware of the problem but they are unable to resolve it at this point.

On 6/27/22 we were driving roughly 35 mph and all of the sudden the warning light Engine Malfunction Power reduced Service now warning light came on and the car immediately slowed to 20 mph with no warning. It was a Sunday so we couldn’t take it to the dealership that day. We turned the car off and in about 20 minutes turned it back on and the warning light had cleared. We took it to the dealership the next day. Since the car only had 14,912 miles assumed the warranty would cover. They didn’t find anything but still charged us $168.53. Then on 8/30 it happened again while backing up. Called Nissan and they instructed me to turn it off and back on. I did but it still had the warning light and reduced speed. I was roughly 30 miles from the dealership and they wanted me to drive it in. I told them that wasn’t safe. They said at my expense have it towed. After the car was turned off awhile it cleared and went back to normal. I took the car in the next day. Again they said they couldn’t recreate the issue and had no solution. They indicated Nissan knew there was an issue but didn’t have a fix yet. They said it might mean a new engine. I filed a complaint with Nissan asking for them to buyback the car because I felt it wasn’t safe. They denied it. If at some point you are driving 70 mph on a 4 lane interstate in busy traffic and it happens and the speed reduces from 70 to 20 with no brake light coming on or warning to the driver. It could be catastrophic. On various complaint sites you can see that this is a large issue for Nissan.

While driving in traffic I proceeded to give the car gas to move 2 car lengths forward but the car jerked back and then accelerated on its own. I applied pressure to the brake and as the came up off it the car accelerated again. I swerved off the highway and once in park the car continued to have high rpm of 3.5 while in park. Keep in mind i had been driving the car for over an hour so it wasn’t cold. After the vehicle was towed to the dealer, the tow truck driver experienced the same thing with high RPM.

I HAVE EXPERIENCED UNUSUAL ENGINE NOISES, ROUGH ENGINE PERFORMANCE, ILLUMINATION OF THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT (MIL), AND WARNING MESSAGES DISPLAYED IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. THE ENGINE HAS FAILED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, RESULTING IN A LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER TWICE, ONCE ON THE HIGHWAY. I have been to the dealership mechanic 3 times with this issue, the first occurred prior to the recall coming out. The Last time I was told to pay for a diagnostic or they would not be able to help me; I paid and was told they could not find anything relevant to my issue. I was just told that there was no further information occurring from this recall. I feel as if the car is almost undrivable. It is definitely unsafe and unreliable. And a car constantly revs at 6000 RPM's prior to switching gears if it switches gears. At this point I don't know what to do and regret buying a Nissan as they won't even help.

While driving, multiple warning lights appeared on the dashboard, including the check engine light, malfunction indicator, and crash sensor warnings. A message then displayed: “ENGINE MALFUNCTION POWER REDUCED SERVICE NOW.” The engine began making loud knocking noises, lost power, and the vehicle entered reduced-power mode. The issue appears to be related to the ongoing engine bearing failure recall (R25A8 / 25V-437) affecting Nissan vehicles with VC-Turbo engines. Because of these symptoms and the risk of complete engine failure or loss of motive power, the vehicle became unsafe to drive and was parked. The problem poses a serious safety risk, as the loss of power occurred suddenly while the vehicle was in motion, which could cause an accident if it happens in traffic. The problem has not yet been repaired because the manufacturer has not released the full recall remedy. I called the Nissan Dealership in Greeneville TN, at 8:53 AM EST on 11/08/2025 the vehicle is currently parked at my residence. I was advised by the dealership to call back on Monday morning to schedule an inspection at a Nissan dealership. Warning lights and the “Engine Malfunction Power Reduced” message first appeared shortly before the loud knocking began and power loss occurred on the vehicle.

POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

The vehicle intermittently loses power and displayed “Engine Malfunction/ Service Now” warnings beginning several months ago. Diagnostic code U0652 (Lost Communication with EGR System) was recorded. This failure was later confirmed by a Nissan dealer, who identified a faulty EGR valve and differential-pressure sensor, with low coolant and internal coolant loss (no external leaks). During review with Nissan’s regional case manager, engine contamination was noted as a factor, yet this information was never disclosed to me by the dealership. The EGR valve, cooler, and sensors share coolant and exhaust pathways with the engine, meaning contamination within those circuits can block sensors and cause drivability loss or limp-mode events — exactly what occurred. Despite these findings, Nissan classified the issue as “unrelated” to Recall R25A8, which involves internal bearing debris and coolant contamination capable of circulating through those same systems. Nissan offered to cover only 50% of repair costs and refused to provide their decision in writing. Nissan’s recall inspection procedure requires removal of the oil pan and inspection for debris, which was never performed. I was provided an oil sample after diagnosis - proof that the pan was not dropped. This raises concerns that Nissan failed to follow the prescribed recall diagnostic process. Additionally, I have been forced to personally pay hundreds of dollars for a rental vehicle because Nissan stated rental reimbursement would not be provided until the repair is completed, despite the vehicle being undrivable due to the recall-related defect. I do not feel comfortable proceeding with the repair or continuing to drive the vehicle in its current condition, as the underlying recall issue has not been properly addressed or resolved. This defect poses a serious safety risk due to potential engine failure, sudden power loss, and internal coolant contamination that could lead to further mechanical damage or fire.

I took my Rogue to the dealership at City Limits Nissan on Monday 10/6/25 as it had power issues and the engine light came on stating 'Engine Malfunction Power reduce Service now' I then called NHTSA and filed a complaint about a recall for my Nissan Rogue that Nissan has yet to have a remedy. I got the car back on Tuesday afternoon 10/7/25 and they said it did not have to do with the recall. I drove the car straight home. I went to work the next morning and as I was pulling into a parking spot in parking garage, all of the sudden, I was crashed into the wall at a high rate of speed. I am extremely concerned that this may have been a malfunction with the Nissan Rogue as this occurred less then 24 hours after it was serviced. My car was totaled and the damage looks like it hit at 30 mph or more which is extremely alarming as I was slowing coming into the parking spot. I don't know exactly what happened however if there have been any issues with Nissans and sudden acceleration, I feel this needs to be investigated. My Rogue is a 2022 and had to have the engine replaced in early 2024. Nissan could not give any explanation as to why. My car has been taken to a salvage yard and I am concerned that if there was and issue, any evidence of an issued could be destroyed. Had there not been heavy duty cables, I could have gone further through the parking garage wall and fallen 3 stories.

My engine light came on and I almost immediately lost power. This car is only 3 years old with about 87k miles. I was on the highway going over 70mph when this happened. The dealer says the coolant system failed which allowed coolant to get into the engine. Either way...engine failure, which Nissan has not currently honoring their extended warranty offered on this model for the repair. There were no indicator lights, temp warnings, radiator overheating/low antifreeze, nothing. Not until the engine light came on and I immediately had to pull over. Usually I would get an email from Nissan if their systems picked up an issue, but I received nothing until my car was being towed.

The OK button on the steering wheel collapsed in causing the dash menus to choose random settings and turn them on or off. In the dash selection, controlled with this, is the crash detection on the vehicle, causing the menu to cycle through and turn off and on these settings also. There’s blind spot, alarms, lane departure, driver assistance, and backup sensors. There’s vehicle’s safety features are controlled in the dash menus. The cruise control button is also sticking resulting in the cars speed to change whenever. This is a known issue with Nissan but still refuse to do anything about it after the bumper to bumper warranty period is over, even though it includes safety features. They also want us to pay $170 dollars just for them to say “yes the bottons are broken.” Several forums have confirmed this is a problem that Nissan is well aware of. Someone mentioned their 2023 went through 3 steering wheels because of this issue and it was within the warranty period, so Nissan replaced the steering wheels (you can’t just replace the button modules).

3/25/2023 784 miles and 12 days after purchasing the vehicle The throttle got stuck, cruise was on but not activated, was going 100mgh, hit the brakes, slowed the speed, every time I took my foot off the brake, I was doing 90-100mph. I hit the brakes 5-7 times to try to cancel the cruise even though it was was set. It said "Activate" so it was not on. Then after hitting the brakes repeatedly, I heard a loud kerplunk (metal on metal) sound in the engine behind the brake pedal, and it shut off and drove normally afterwards. 3/30/2023 I accelerated to get on I35 and RPM stuck at 3200 and would not shift in sport mode; I changed to Standard mode and the RPMs dropped to 2000-2100; the engine revved up loud in sport mode. Female Service Manager from Burleson Nissan was in the car at the time of the event. This has happened 3 more times since owning this vehicle. At the advice of my lemon law attorney, I am reporting them separately.

Car engine light came on and the vehicle automatically slowed itself down to 20 mph as I was in a 45 mph zone, with multiple traffic behind me. No warning!! A hazard sign lit and the MIL lit up, saying there is an emissions control system malfunction and to immediately take the car to a repair station. NissanConnect also sent me a text at 5:12 Saturday night, all repair stations closed. This was very dangerous and the system should not have taken over complete control of the car at that very instant, leaving me completely unable to control the car. It was out of the blue, and I’m still shaking.

I had to have the bars on top of my vehicle replaced due to a flapping noise. The dealership told me that the bars were broken. After replacing the bars, the roof began to leak and now the liner on the a-pillar has a water stain on it. The radio has static and my phone has little to no service. Due to everything being wet. If the moisture gets on wires if could cause a fire. There’s also strong gas fumes that leak from the tank and inside the cabin smells terrible for several days. I have to ride with the windows down. My dealership knows of this, but tells me the warranty is up. I have 52,000 miles on my vehicle now.

I recently experienced “safe mode” in my 2022 Nissan Rogue while driving on the highway at 80mph. My car suddenly lost power and would not accelerate or brake. I had to have my vehicle towed off the side of the highway as it was not drivable. My car is currently under diagnostic at Nissan where they are unable to reproduce the error codes. They notified me of $4,000 in repairs that would be covered by Nissan but they are unsure that will fix the problem. My car is knocking while driving, vibrating upon attempt of acceleration and shuttering at idle.

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at 25 MPH, there was a popping sound detected. The vehicle veered to the left, lost control, and crashed into an unknown Jeep. The warning system failure message was displayed. The vehicle failed to shift out of gear. The contact noticed that the tire was detached from the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Action Number PE24020 (steering). The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, who determined that the failure was due to the crash and impact. The mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the front inner tie rod needed to be replaced. The mechanic informed him there was no warranty coverage. A police report was filed. There were no reported injuries, air bag deployment, or fire. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 36,500.

I first experienced an issue with my Rogue in late December 2023 with the heat going out and the fans were producing minimal air through the vents. I brought the car to the dealer January 2nd, 2024. It took a week for Nissan to diagnose the issue as engine related (engine knocking prior to total heat failure, and metal shavings in the oil pan) and another 3 weeks for them to order and install a brand new engine. In May I brought the car back to the dealer because the AC wasn’t working. They fixed that within a week. Didn’t seem to be engine related. Recently I experienced (Friday 6/14/2024) loss of power, whereby my vehicle stalled while driving at 55 mph. No warning lights came on, no alarm bells or signals popped up on my dashboard. As my vehicle began to decline in speed, a note displayed on my dash that stated the engine stalled and pull over safely. I was able to coast the car into a turn lane with my flashers on. The engine then died at full stop. I had to have it towed to the dealer as the vehicle bogged out once it started. Ultimately, it continued to stall out. The dealer notified me today that my engine failed again and that they would have to replace the engine again. I will hear from them again once they determine if they will replace the engine or if they may offer to buy back the car.

235/60R18 tire size I bought a new 2022 Rogue March 2022 which only now has 14,000 miles.During regular maintenance on 1/13/24 , I was told I needed new tires because of tread wear.Nissan said they do not give tire warranty and Hankook would be responsible. After looking at BBB reports, there are quite a few others with similar or same issues. Blow outs, knots or baldness on tires. If these tires don’t last even 2 years or past 14,000 miles,I consider them defective in some way and certainly a safety issue. If Nissan has complaints and still continues to use this tire they are to blame as well.

POWER TRAIN,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES

I was caught in a snowstorm, driving about 5 MPH. Suddenly, the vehicle swerved to the left and I lost complete control; the brakes locked up. The vehicle spun about 145° degrees before coming to a stop perpendicular to the road; subsequently rear-ended from behind. The moment was surreal; I’ve never felt closer to a life-threatening incident because I had ZERO CONTROL over the car: I was spared ONLY because there was no oncoming traffic. My biggest concern is why the safety systems failed to intervene. During the incident, the ABS did NOTHING. Traction Control, NOTHING. NO warning lights came on. It’s mind blowing that the car skidded about 145° degrees without any intervention from the ABS and Traction Control systems. With modern 4-channel ABS and advanced Traction Control (Vehicle Dynamic Control) safety systems, the car should have attempted to correct itself. Because I was at a standstill, I was braking the entire time; I didn’t jam the brakes or steer the vehicle. To make matters worse, the car was in Snow Mode AWD. One hypothesis is a glitch where Vehicle Dynamic Control won’t operate in snow mode to give maximum engine performance. But at the cost of reduced safety and traction. Or perhaps the safety systems are not working as intended. The emergency brake malfunction light occasionally comes on when idling and several malfunction messages once during a long trip. However, these were sporadic and did not appear before this incident. Moreover, the maintenance person at my apartment recently experienced the same issue. While on the road with his new 2021 Nissan Rogue, his car spun out of control FOUR TIMES. He's driven in the snow in other vehicles without a problem, and will NEVER drive the Rogue in snow again. Because this vehicle failed in a critical safety scenario, I’m requesting Nissan carefully inspect the safety systems, including the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Vehicle Dynamic Control free of charge. Will escalate this further if needed.

I have had my car in the service center 5 times for the same reason they tell me it is fixed but the problem keeps happening. I have tried to be cooperative . the car has been in the shop on and off since the 18 of July at one point they had it almost a month. This last time they gave it back to me said it was fixed. This is why i'm writing to you I had the car a week and I was driving on interstate 65 I was in the middle lane doing 70 MPH with a tractortrailer on each side of me starting up a long hill with another truck coming up behind me, when my car dropped down to 40 MPH since I knew what was happening I put on my emergency flashers, thank God the truck driver behind me was paying attention because he was coming up behind me pretty fast because of the hill He slowed down and moved over to block the slow lane so I could get over I had my 2 granddaughters in the car with me, and things could have been very bad if the trucker behind me had not been paying attention My Granddaughters and I could have been killed. Now I am afraid to drive the car the dealership told me to Call Nissan hot line and tell them what happened Nissan said they had something else to fix and my car would be fine, well now I'm afraid to drive the car and Nissan said they didn't have to do anything else to help me. I put 20,000.00 down on this car so I could keep my payments down. and now I'm stuck with a car I'm afraid to drive. am a [XXX] Grandmother trying to take care of my 3 Grandchildren on a fixed income I have 1 in collage 1 who works but doesn't drive and 1 in high school . I have to have a car I can depend on .I'm sorry to go on and on but please tell me if there is anything I can do. I purchased a 2022 Nissan Rogue Platinum brand new in March of 2022. On the drive home from the dealership, I noticed my driver's side rear view mirror was quite shaky. After speaking with my salesperson, I tried to fold the mirror in and back out again to see if that would help the situation. It did not. Whenever I drive at speeds as low as 20 mph, the mirror will shake and give a distorted view. I took the vehicle into a local dealership to have the mechanics look at it and possibly fix it. My car has less than 500 miles on it at this point. The technicians could not figure out how to fix the issue. The service manager drove my vehicle and confirmed the issue. Then, he drove another new Rogue on the lot. He found that Rogue to have the same issue. He contacted a Nissan field engineer who stated the issue is known and considered to be normal. I am unsure how it could be considered normal as the passenger mirror works as expected, but the driver's mirror shakes and vibrates.
