The morning after I bought this certified pre-owned 2024 Nissan Rogue from a local Nissan dealer, I went to get into the car, and after sitting down and closing the door, I heard a crash. When I looked back, I noticed that my rear window had fully collapsed. I got out of the car, and saw that the entire window was cracked and had imploded.

The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving approximately 27 MPH, the vehicle shuddered and stalled. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated, and the "Engine Malfunction" message was displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was towed to a dealer to be diagnosed; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.

The message "Engine Power Reduced Now" was displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer and remained with the dealer for additional tests. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

After shopping, I attempted to start my car and received the "ENGINE MALFUNCTION Reduced Power, Service Now" warning. Thankfully, I was not driving when this happened, as the car had no power to move! It is currently in the dealership, where they state it is an EGR valve -- on a vehicle with less than 11,000 miles on it. Had I been on the highway and this happened - no power -- I only hope I could have coasted to the roadside without being hit!

On 12/16/25 at approximately 6:30am central time, the rear back glass spontaneously shattered while driving to work. The outside temperature was below 30 degrees causing some frost build up. I turned on the rear defrost, and within a few minutes, I heard a loud pop and then a cracking, crumbling like noise and looked back to see the glass was completely shattered.

Rear windshield/window spontaneously shattered and then fell apart after remote-starting in freezing (below 32⁰F) temperatures. I have photos. Nissan says there's nothing they can do (even with the expensive bumper to bumper warranty we paid for). If this had happened while we were driving my family could've been hurt by flying glass.

rear tailgate window exploded for no reason. i work for a fleet company and we have had this happen on at least 8 nissan rogues some in winter some in summer. Glass being blown out is extremely frightening while driving and could increase the risk of a crash. its also a safety issue with glass entering the passenger compartment. This has been reproduced 100s of times. there's plenty of online forums where other rogue owners have experienced the same issue.

I have a 2024 Nissan Rogue Platinum with a faulty infotainment system. The screen has not worked since the day I took delivery of the car, the dealership assured me only a simple update would be needed to fix the issue. However, several months and only 3k miles later, I've had the screen replaced on the car. Unfortunately, this has not fixed the issue, it still malfunctions. (Photo attached is a month after the replacement) From small pixel, to green lines, and even completely blacking out. The volume stops working, the backup camera done engage, and the touchscreen becomes unresponsive. I have been to the dealership over 5 times for this issues and have contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs multiple times, and yet I still have a faulty infotainment system. I am not sure why this is happening but I know I am not the only one. I was actually referred to fill out this for by someone else also having this issue. I purchased a new car for safety and reliability which have yet to see from this vehicle. Nissan keeps dismissing my concerns, they essentially told me the car is perfectly fine and functioning to standard. But, how can this be safe? I would be safer in a car from the 90's. I feel cheated, lied to, and taken advantage of. And I KNOW I am not the only one, and now just in the USA, but worldwide.

Since I drove it off the lot, the display screen intermittently and frequently blacks out leaving me with no music, no GPS, no cameras, no hands free phone. Dealership says they can’t fix it, Nissan North America says they can”t fix it. So I just spent over $49,000 for a brand new vehicle under warranty that no one can fix and I can’t rely on. Without cameras, I am not comfortable driving this defective vehicle. The other display doesn’t work accurately either. Outside temperature shows 75 degrees when in reality it’s 91 degrees and it also shows I got 68.6 miles per gallon (ha, ha). So I keep wondering what’s next?

Car was purchased band new on June 11, 2024. The day after purchase, the screen went blank and there is no backup camera, and has occurred every day. This is a safety issue for me. Had the car in to the service department twice. Nissan approved replacing the screen unit, however; the part is back ordered and it could take months for it to come in. In the meantime, I have a brand new defective car with no backup camera. Dealership said backup camera is not required on cars, hence they do not deem this as a safety issue.

Liftgate closes while people are still behind the car. When loading/unloading items from the back of the car, the liftgate will close on you while you are still behind the car. The gate pins you between it and the rear bumper. This issue is predictable and repeatable. The dealership/Nissan has not yet confirmed this is an issue and my personal vehicle has not been inspected for this particular issue. There are no warnings of any kind prior to, during, or after this issue occurs. I bought the car brand new and the issue presented itself the very first day I owned it.

Infotainment system malfunctions, screen freezes or goes black when trying to use back up camera. CarPlay malfunctions regularly, Bluetooth fails to connect phone. Car changes temperature to Celsius frequently even changes back after reverting to Fahrenheit. Transmission has a juddering (skipping) feel when trying to maintain speed.

Nissan Consumer Affairs & Antwerpen Nissan Clarksville have refused to fix the manufacturing recalled defected engine & honor the extended 120,000 mile engine Block warranty on the 2024 nissan rogue vc turbo engine. That was in result of nissan manufacturing defect that caused a full engine failure. Nissan North America & Antwerpen Nissan Clarksville have refused to slove thos serious Danagers engine defect from nissan manufacturer. Putting the lifes of owners of nissan rogue in danger. This is negligence in nissan to fix a serious safety manufacturer issue on the defective vc turbo engine.

As I was driving yesterday car jump down to 5 mph. Message came on engine malfunction power reduced service now. Thank god no cars was behind me. I pulled over turned the car off then put it back on. It did run but engine was loud. Today on my way to work car engine is loud and car feels heavy.

Left side IVI system intermittent, yes. Unable to communicate handsfree or if in an emergency situation contact onboard 911 systems. Yes, the problem has been recreated twice with dealership and four videos of outages were submitted to dealership. Yes, the manufacturer inspected and called it needing a software push from Nissan. No software update is not available couldn’t be determined when fix was available. No, warnings were available before outage occurred. The vehicle only has 6600 miles and is a year and 3 months old. I am the first owner, the first appearance occurred after the software update of the recall on backup cameras by NHTSA.

The contact stated that the warning light remained illuminated for several weeks. The contact stated when her husband went to have to tires rotated and an oil change performed, the technician informed him that the sensor needed to be replaced and to contact the Insurance provider for assistance with the cost of the repair. The contact also stated that the vehicle had several electrical failures. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the Forward Collision Avoidance sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and closed a case that was opened on the vehicle. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 12,000.

Good day! This is a report about a product/manufacturer safety issue! We recently purchased a 2024 Nissan Rogue AWD vehicle. Shortly after the purchase, we were driving here in Tennessee on a divided highway with left and right turn lanes. In this scenario, we were driving around a right hand curve in the road at 55 mph behind another vehicle in cruise control. The sensor was set at the lowest level of distance between the vehicle in front and our vehicle, which is still pretty far back. But as we were going into the right hand curve, there was also a left turn lane that another car was entering. This car in the turn lane was going significantly much slower as it was preparing to turn left, but the problem started at this point of the scenario. As the car in front of me cleared the sensor in the right hand curve curved away from the front of my vehicle, the sensor apparently picked up the car in the turn lane, which became the car directly in front of me, and an immediately sensed obstacle, going at a significantly slower rate speed and cause our car to automatically, rapidly, and startlingly apply the brakes to our vehicle, though we were still at a safe distance behind the car going around the curve in front of us. This not only caused a significant risk to us as we were trying figure out what was going on in a split second while trying to get to the side of the road thinking something was failing in our vehicle and was quickly becoming unsafe, but for the safety of the vehicle behind us who may have been surprised by the immediate and significant braking our vehicle was undertaking by the computer in the car, placing a higher risk for a rear ending when there was no risk in front of our vehicle. Add to that, if there were several vehicles behind us the potential for a domino effect crash.

The contact stated that while entering the driveway and the vehicle was in park (P), the vehicle hesitated and jerked then suddenly the front passenger side spun around independently. No warning lights illuminated. As a result, the vehicle crashed into another parked vehicle, then crashed into the rod iron fence, and from the impact into the contact's home where it came to a stop. The driver’s and passenger’s side air bags did not deploy. The contact's daughter-in-law took her to the hospital. The contact sustained a concussion and injuries to the back. A police report was not filed. The vehicle remained at the residence. The insurance company was not contacted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Forward collision system turns off while driving causing vehicle to randomly jerk an slow down in traffic. Taken the vehicle in 4 times to have them look at and service center refuses to help me an give me any information on when there will be an update. Received an email for a recall made an appointment for said recall arrived at shop and my service was refused. Asked for documentation on service being refused an got told they could not give me that. After an hour of debating finally receive paper. Leaving store once again my cruise control turned off an vehicle jerks. All this has taken place at Billion Nissian in Sioux Falls. They are unwilling to assist me in anything for my vehicle. Have documented proof of all occasions and I am still refused service from the shop.

When adaptive cruise control is in use at set speed of 75MPH, suddenly vehicle breaks to slow down to the speed of 55-60 MPH and within seconds accelerates again to the set cruising speed. This happened at least three time in the last three days with no other vehicle ahead of me.

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act broken by Nissan North America. My 2024 nissan rogue has a failed vc turbo engine while I was driving with my family engine shut off while driving no warning just a blink of a eye. Nissan consumer affairs refused to fix this serious safety issue & Nissan North America have multiple times covered up the known manufacturing defect on the vc turbo engine. After independent investigation. Found metal bearings on the vc turbo engine. Nissan consumer affairs have refused to slove this and are still selling Manufacturing defective 2023 - 2025 Nissan rogue with vc turbo engine. When the car shut off suddenly. My fingers got hit hard the steering wheel wheel when it locked & my son felt pain on his right side of the neck in the front seat. As the seat belt did not protect to keep save. The vc turbo engine failed in 1 year, with no warning & no explanation from nissan consumer affairs on why it happened & they have refused to fix this dangerous safety issue. After independent investigation metal fragments in the oil pain from recall engine bearings were found as the cause of the failure that casued the vc turbo engine to fail on my 2024 nissan rogue. Nissan consumer affairs & Antwerpen Nissan Clarksville have refused to fix the recall warranty repair & have refused to allow me to speak with supervisors or even admit about the one going big recalls on the serious dangerous manufacturing defect on the vc turbo engine on my 2024 nissan rogue sv. There were 2 children & 2 adults while driving the car & Nissan negligence to fix this serious safety issue could of cost us our lives. Nissan consumer affairs refused to cover / fix manufacturing defect that caused full engine failure on my 2024 nissan rogue sv in 1 year. My vehicle is a lemon & a manufacturing defect. I have asked nissan consumer affairs for Buyback / replacement as my car has not been fixed for more then 40 days at repair shop. Serious safety issue from nissan!

Car was driving rough, with hesitation with acceleration and MIL lamp was flashing. Car with only 25,924 miles ( bought with 24,641miles). Dealership said 3 plugs have melted which is not normal wear and tear. Nissan still trying to figure out if it's under warranty and said it is not part of recall. It's possible that this car has the recalled vct transmission and recall should be expanded because this is a serious safety issue.

The contact was informed that the turbocharger needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 60,000.

On oct 17,2025. While driving 35 mph on my to drop off my niece to her doctor appointment. My new 2024 Nissan rogue started to shake and engine light started to blank and cut off power and stopped on the road. Putting our lives at risk for accident on the road. Error Code : P2563 and P2565. I took it to the Dealership Antwerpen Nissan in clarksville, MD. Were I purchased the car brand new in 2024. The system check showed that Nissan Turbo had failed a defective safety recall and I need a New engine for my car after less then 1 year. The dealership would not honor this dangerous safety recall issue from Nissan has on the Turbo engine as there is a active recall on 2022 - 2024 Nissan rogue on the VC- Turbo Engine. Nissan and Antwerpen Nissan have not given me any help to fix this defective turbo engine that is putting a lot of drivers like myself at safety risk for a accident on the road. I would like to file a complaint in this matter to get it resolved and fixed on my 2024 Nissan rogue SV with a new Turbo . To fix the defective recall VC- Turbo from Nissan. There’s an open recall for my year and engine but have not received a recall letter and zero recalls show open. My car as a grinding noise when accelerating slowly and the engine power is very low when accelerating fast and almost red lines at 30 miles per hour but eventually catches up and goes to normal. Also while driving it feels the car is sucking fumes at times with a full tank of fuel.

Engine started smoking, burning smell, exhaust smoking, stopped working, won't drive anymore, won't start , if do get it started it idles high then crashes. No warning lights. Coolant isn't leaking but it's using all reserve coolant. No longer drivable.

The Body Control Module System goes to sleep intermittently. Nissan reports that it is a manufacturer error but Nissan has 0 fixes or recommendations. They refuse to buy the car back. The BCM system is a safety hazard as my lights don't always come on and it is interconnected with other systems including the air bag system and safety restraint system. This is a huge concern to me as I don't want to have to worry if my restraints or air bags will work when needed. Also, I have had other issues related to infotainment system. It is a brand new vehicle and should not have all these issues causing me to question if I'll be safe. I have video proof of all issues.

When recently driving my 2024 Nissan Rogue on(7/4), I noticed and felt knocking and it seemed as something was loose in the wheel suspension on the front passenger side. I also experienced vibration in the steering wheel. It felt as if the suspension was coming apart. I pulled over to see if something was under the car, but there was nothing. After driving a couple of miles, it decreased but it still happens every now and then. I took it to the Nissan dealership for an evaluation. They checked it out but could only reproduce the knocking noise once, and it wasn't that severe so there wasn't anything that they could do. They checked the suspension and everything checked out okay. So I'm still driving my vehicle, but I don't feel 100% safe, because I don't want to be on the highway and this happens again. I feel that there is something wrong,but I guess it won't get fixed until it actually breaks. I wanted to report this issue in case any other Rogue owners experienced the same problem.

*All dash screens have gone totally black with no info being displayed while driving at interstate highway speeds. Displays stayed totally black for about 10 minutes and the came back on. *Steering assist activated without any warning without cruise being turned on causing me problems when trying to change lanes. *With the cruise control not being selected, the vehicle suddenly started to accelerate until I applied the brakes and slowed the vehicle. *GPS not reliable. On a recent return trip, the system had us locked on a location we were at possibly 8 hours earlier. The GPS never updated as we came home driving thru West Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, & finally New Jersey. *Radio constantly displays a message that no receivable stations are available when we select the AM or FM bands, but Satelite radion is available. Although the radio problems are not a safety issue, they are a nuisance when traveling and trying to listen to local stations for road and weather reports. *Recently occurring problem with the cargo door suddenly closing while we are loading/unloading the cargo area. *We have had the vehicle back to the dealership many times for these problems with no resolutions to these recurring problems. We had opened a case#[XXX] with Nissan North America, but it was closed back in mid March2025 when we thought the problems were resolved. The re-occurring problems caused us to open a new case#[XXX] with Nissan North America. We want Nissan to buy back or replace this vehicle since they cannot resolve the stated problems. I was sold dry rotted tires (235/60/R18/103H), on Sunday, March 23, 2025. I noticed hazardous condition while driving on Freeway under the speed limit where tires were making very loud grinding/riveting sound and I couldn't drive a normal freeway speed, on March 25, 2025. The front driver tire was sold to me damaged where it doesn't properly hold the required air to operate my vehicle safely at 16 psi. I proceeded to get tires inspected at Walmart where I was alerted that it wasn't safe to drive the vehicle due to the conditions of the tires. I contacted business and asked to speak with manager at the location wo didn't offer any solution to rectify this selling of dry rotted hazardous tires. I was simply told to provide a copy of inspection report and my receipt with no resolution to this date where my vehicle hasn't been moved due to the hazardous condition of the tires that affect my safety.; and is a deceptive business practice.

The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the infotainment system failed to display an image while shifted into reverse. Additionally, the instrument cluster was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the technician needed to see the failure before the vehicle could be repaired. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that a diagnostic test was needed and would be an out-of-pocket expense. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V748000 (BACK OVER PREVENTION, EQUIPMENT); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 1,474.

Upon starting the vehicle, there is a distinct gas smell that fills the cabin. It goes away after awhile driving, but happens again when the car has been turned off and started again. This comes through the air vents in the cabin. The outside of the car, from under the hood, also smells of gas when parked. The car cannot be parked inside a garage, or the entire garage smells of gas.

Forward collision sensor comes on and deactivates the cruise control and all safety features, sometimes breaking and quickly deceleration the car in traffic, dealer and Nissan refuse to address the issue telling me it's working as intended, feels like the car intends to kill me when this occurs in traffic.

Pulling out of a dollar general store was hit by a truck causing sever vehicle damage. Air bags and collision avoidance did not work. Engine did not shut down was still running after collision, no warning lights came on. I had to shut the car off. Could not move the car frame was broken. Called nissain a couple of times was told a rep would look at it but it could take up to 6 weeks never got a follow up call. Hit my head on the steering wheel.Have not contacted a lawyer as of yet

The monitor and camera system does not always come on. The gps doesn’t work and if you try to backup there is no indication someone is behind you because the cameras are inoperable. This is definitely a safety issue. I have taken the vehicle to 2 service centers and it is still not fixed. As a matter of fact the issue happened before we drove it off the lot and we were told there was nothing wrong with the system

The Infotainment system goes black intermittently & frequently- When this occurs, there is no access to any cameras and if it occurs while backing out, the mirrors self-adjust down (for the camera?) and therefore, you are unable to even user your sideview mirrors. I have contacted Nissan Corporate-they deny any issues but the local dealership told me there is a software problem similar to the 2022 issue (recall) but there is no solution because this is a new problem with 2024.
