The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power and failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that similar model year vehicles were recalled for the transmission failure; however, the VIN was not included in a powertrain recall. The failure was a recurring failure. The contact stated that the vehicle had been parked in the backyard for over a year and was no longer driven due to safety concerns. The failure mileage was not provided.

The CVT transmission has a serious problem it does this jerking movement and could lead to an accident or serious bodily injury to occupants in the vehicle I am filing a complaint regarding the CVT transmission failure in my 2013 Nissan Sentra (VIN: [XXX] ). The vehicle began showing symptoms such as jerking, hesitation, and loss of power while driving. These are serious safety concerns, especially when merging or accelerating. After researching the issue, I discovered this is a well-documented and widespread defect in Nissan CVT-equipped vehicles from this generation. Many other owners have experienced premature transmission failure, and Nissan has issued extended warranties in the past on certain models. However, despite clear signs of defective transmission design, my vehicle has not been covered under any warranty or recall. I believe this defect poses a serious safety hazard and should be addressed by Nissan through a recall or formal investigation. Transmission failure while driving could easily lead to a crash. I urge the NHTSA to open an investigation and compel Nissan to take accountability for this widespread transmission failure. Transmission has failed. The car will not change speed when pressing on gas. Causing danger on the road when driven. The issue has been confirmed by an independent auto service. No warning lamps or identifiers has been present with this issue. The vehicle itself has only 97000 miles. This transmission issue with this vehicle is a known problem and many owners of this vehicle has reported this exact issue.

The car was stalled and wouldn’t go without warning and no indication issues were present. When it stalled driver put at risk of being hit and caused multiple cars to swerve to miss the car. Thankfully able to get the car off the road and toed. Transmission completely failed.

WHEN DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30MPH, I PUSHED MY BRAKE PEDAL TO SLOW FOR MY NEXT TURN. THE PEDAL WAS SLIGHTLY INEFFECTIVE, MEANING THE PRESSURE IN THE PEDAL WAS RELEASED AND THE BRAKE DID NOT HALT MY CAR IN A SAFE TIMEFRAME. I HAD TO RELEASE AND PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL AGAIN TO FEEL PRESSURE IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM, AND WAS ABLE TO SLOW JUST IN TIME TO MAKE MY NEXT TURN. THIS WAS DEFINITELY SCARY AS I'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED BRAKE FAILURE BEFORE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN SENTRA. THE STATED THAT WHEN DRIVING AT 25 TO 30 MPH WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS ENGAGED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO COME TO A STOP AND CAUSED THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT POLICE DEPARTMENT PROVIDED CASE NUMBER 020-9-018-0182. THE STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC FOR INSPECTION AND THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,400.

WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET, BRAKE PEDAL SUDDENLY WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND CONTINUED TO MALFUNCTION UNTIL VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO A STOP. INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND NISSAN DEALERSHIP BOTH DETERMINED THE CAUSE WAS THE MAIN CYLINDER. MILEAGE ON CAR WAS 39,000. THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF ANY BRAKE ISSUES BEFORE MALFUNCTION (NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS, NO NOISES FROM BRAKES, ETC.).

AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, I PRESSED ON THE BRAKES TO STOP AND I HAD TO PRESS THE PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR TO ACTIVATE THE BREAKS. THIS CAUSED ME TO ALMOST HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL MORE TIMES ON MY WAY HOME. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND THEY EVENTUALLY DIAGNOSED THE CAR WITH A CRACKED MASTER CYLINDER. THE CAR IS ROUGHLY 5 YEARS OLD AND THIS IS THE SECOND MAJOR PROBLEM THAT IT HAS HAD WITHIN THE MONTH - 1ST THE TRANSMISSION AND THEN 2ND THE BREAKS. THESE ARE 2 OF THE 3 MOST FREQUENTLY REPORTED PROBLEMS WITH THIS MAKE/MODEL. THE CAR IS UNDER 60K MILES. ACCORDING TO MOST SOURCES, THE MASTER CYLINDER IS SUPPOSED TO LAST THE LIFE OF THE CAR. NISSAN REPORTS THAT NO RECALL/CUSTOMER EDUCATION HAS BEEN DONE FOR EITHER OF THOSE THINGS FOR THAT MAKE/MODEL. IT SEEMS IRRESPONSIBLE OF THEM.

The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds with the passenger’s side front seat occupied, the “Air Bag Off” warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where DTC code: B00A0 was retrieved. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The local dealer was contacted, and the contact was informed that a software update was needed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 23,000.

I went to get my car inspected and they noticed that my airbag light was on, and that even with a passenger in the seat, the airbag sensor wouldn’t work. I came across an article saying there was a recall for 2013 Nissan’s with airbag sensor problems, but when I went to go see if my car qualified, they said no.

Slid on black ice (luckily only going about 40mph) car hit a cement guard rail head on severally damaging the entire front of the car (waiting on if it's totaled) no injuries but air bags did not deploy. Well it wasn't super fast that hard of a head on hit they should have deployed.

The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the passenger’s side air bag warning light was flashing. Additionally, the warning light remained off with an occupant seated in the passenger’s seat. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer on two separate occasions for diagnostic testing and was informed that the issue was related to the seat wiring. The contact then took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who notified her of NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V681000 (Air Bags) however, the dealer informed her that her vehicle was not included in the recall. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.

While driving, the start/stop button was pressed and the vehicle turned off while in motion. WHILE IN D, THE VEHICLE TURNED OFF WHILE IN TRAFFIC, IN MOTION, DUE TO THE STOP/START BUTTON BEING PRESSED. It should not be able to shut off while in drive. The safety feature should not allow that.

2013 Nissan Sentra that I bought brand new in 2014 with only about 15 miles on it. December 2024 In the middle of traffic the vehicle would not accelerate forward, even when almost flooring the gas pedal. This would only Rev up the engine as if I was in park. I was able to drive in reverse to a park in a lot next to where the vehicle stalled. There were not any warning lights at anytime prior to the incident. The mechanic did take a look at it and believed it was a transmission issue. The first time this happened was about 2018 with the same type of scenario. The transmission was replaced $4000+ later by Nissan but when they gave the car back the AC did not work and I had to replace the compressor. They denied any wrong doing at the Nissan dealership but it was fine before I dropped it off except the transmission.

My car has has to repair its air conditioner on 3 Ocasion because it stopped cooling. On November 2023 the transition failed sending a code of: SECOND CLOTCH MODE. I TOOK IT TO 3 mechanics and all said it was the transmition and that all CVT cars have the same defect. My car is well care taken but right now it’s not functioning because of this issue. All cars I have seen NISSAN SENTRA fail for thr same …transmition. At this moment I don’t have any other car to solve my situation and don’t have $6,000.00 to buy a transmition. Please review people who have these cars .

My car just started messing up and I took it to my nearest Nissan dealership and I was advised it was the transmission but before that day I was looking up information on what the car issue could be and it came out to be that there was a transmission CVT recall for my car 2013 Nissan Sentra. I moved from Chicago to Arizona in June of 2020 and I was never informed either via phone or email. I do not thin that it is fair that I should have to pay for this issue at all if it is a manufacturer recall and I was never informed of the recall.

My 2013 Nissan Sentra transmission had to be replaced. I wanted to report this problem because Nissan in my experience have had transmission problems with some of their vehicles causing consumers to pay out of pocket for expensive repairs. My daughter has a 2015 Nissan Maxima whose transmission blew also. Also, I received a notice that my 2018 Nissan Pathfinder may have future transmission problems. Fortunately I traded this vehicle for a Toyota so I wouldn’t have this problem in the future. This is very concerning that all of these cars have the same transmission problem. Is there anything that could be done for Nissan owners?

transmission problems that don't show up on diagnostic.. it shows up as air sensor problem. That could cost a lot of money if you listen to it...by keep trying to fix the air sensor that has no problem so you will go to auto machines and dealership and they don't know why and keep tell you to fix this or that. The real problem is the transmission. the system fails by not tell you the real problem and have a malfunctioned transmission with the the wiring inside.

PURCHASED OUR 2013 NISSAN SENTRA SV IN MAY, 2016. IT CAME WITH A 7 YEAR CPO, EXPIRATION MAY 30, 2020. WITHIN 3 MONTHS OF PURCHASE I HAD WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A SHIFTING/TRANSMISSION RELATED ISSUE. WHEN GOING FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR THE CAR TACHOMETER WOULD REV TO 4500 RPM BUT NUT GO ANY FASTER, THEN SHAKE/THUNK, AND GO INTO 2ND GEAR. FROM THAT TIME UNTIL APRIL, 2020, I WENT IN TO 4 SEPARATE NISSAN DEALERSHIPS IN 2 STATES WITH THIS PROBLEM. EACH ONE SAID THEY WOULD NOT LOOK AT THE VEHICLE BECAUSE NISSAN SAID THEY WOULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEM UNTIL THE TRANSMISSION STOPS WORKING. IN APRIL, 2020, MY LAST VISIT, I EXPLAINED A NEW PROBLEM OCCURRED. THE CAR COULD NOT MAINTAIN 65 MILES PER HOUR WITHOUT GOING INTO OVERDRIVE OR A HIGHER GEAR, AND WAS SHIFTING MULTIPLE TIMES INTO MULTIPLE GEARS. BUT STILL NOTHING WOULD BE DONE BY NISSAN AS THE TRANSMISSION DID NOT FAIL. THEN, ON JULY 22, 2020, THE TRANSMISSION STUCK IN 2ND TWICE. I CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND EXPLAINED MY SITUATION. A CASE SHEET WAS DEVELOPED AND I SENT IN INFORMATION TO THEM. 8 DAYS LATER THEY CALLED ME BACK AND SAID MY CPO WARRANTY ENDED END OF MAY, 2020, SO THERE WAS NOTHING THEY WOULD DO. BY THE WAY, MY CASE SHEET NUMBER WAS 40830236. TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED THIS WEEK COSTING US OVER $4000. VERY, VERY FRUSTRATED. I KNOW OUR CPO ENDED END OF MAY, 2020. BUT NISSAN REFUSED TO LOOK AT TRANSMISSION UNTIL TOTAL FAILURE. I BOUGHT THIS CAR AT 120,000 MILES AND HAVE DRIVEN IT TO 139,000. I STARTED NOTICING MY TRANSMISSION STALLING AND I REVIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL A COUPLE TIMES REGARDING MY TRANSMISSION BEING RECALLED. I UNFORTUNATELY DON'T HAVE THE LETTER ANYMORE REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION.

MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON SO I TOOK MY 2013 NISSAN SENTRA (54,000 MILES) TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT IT NEW FOR DIAGNOSIS. WAS ADVISED FUEL LEVEL SENSOR CODE NOT BEING READ CORRECTLY SO FUEL PUMP NEEDS REPLACED. ESTIMATE $671 AND MY DIAGNOSIS WAS $145. I CALLED NISSAN BECAUSE THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL, BUT NOT FOR MY VIN. THE FUEL PUMP SHOULD LAST 125,000 MILES! VERY DISSAPPOINTED WITH NISSAN, THEY SAID SINCE IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY THEY COULD NOT OFFER ANYTHING. NOW I'M JUST WAITING FOR THE WELL-DOCUMENTED TRANSMISSION FAILURE TO HAPPEN. THIS WAS MY FIRST NEW CAR EVER, AND I CAREFULLY RESEARCHED IT BEFORE PURCHASE. THEY CERTAINLY AREN'T MAKING THIS CUSTOMER FEEL TAKEN CARE OF BY NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR REPLACING THE FAULTY FUEL PUMP.

VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON AND THE FUEL GAUGE ON DASHBOARD STARTED TO ACTING OUT; I THOUGHT MY CAR WAS LEAKING GAS, BUT I COULD NOT SMELL IT. I THOUGHT THE PROBLEM WAS ELECTRIC. I CALLED NISSAN OF HUNTINGTON TO REPORT THE PROBLEM AND MAKING AN APPOINTMENT, BUT IT WAS TOO LATE (3:45PM), SO I HAD TO BRING MY CAR TO CENTERPORT AUTOMOTIVE. THEY SCANNED MY CAR'S COMPUTER SYSTEM AND: "CODE PO 463 FUEL PUMP SENDING UNIT MALFUNCTION CODE". AS A RESULT, THEY REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP AND SENDING UNIT ASSEMBLY IN FUEL TANK. MY CAR WAS 35472 MILES AT THE TIME THIS WORK WAS DONE. HAD TO PAY 681.37 DOLLARS + NYS SALE TAXES. I WOULD LOVE TO BE REIMBURSED SINCE A FUEL PUMP LASTS MORE THAN 125,000 MILES. THOUSANDS OF 2013 NISSAN SENTRA CARS HAVE A FUEL SYSTEM RECALL, BUT NOT THIS PARTICULAR VIN NUMBER.

The shift started locking, followed by consistent tugging while driving above 20 mph. It stutters and pulls when driving down hill which has caused me to pull over and restart the car in heavy traffic on the freeway. Now the car pulls so much it is not safe to drive above 20 mph. I have taken it to two service centers and both have confirmed the CVT transmission is faulty. No lamps or messages prior to the failure showed up. This started before the car hit 80,000 miles.

I have repaired the mass airflow sensor 3x’s by the dealership who sold me the car the last 2 times they didn’t make me pay for it.and I’m still having the same issue. My car will jerk and idle and I was driving and all of a sudden I loss speed and I was accelerating but the car was only moving about 5 miles per hr the cars behind me almost hit me in the rear end. The longer I drive the car the worst it gets. Then if u pull to the side and cut the car off and back on again it would run hard but it would get speed. Until I try to accelerate then it will stall again. This is a safety hazard especially on the interstate.

I WAS MERGING ONTO THE INTERSTATE WHEN THE TRANSMISSION STOP PULLING RIGHT WHEN I GOT INTO TRAFFIC. THE CAR BEGAN TO JERK AND WOULD NOT MOVE ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HAVE A ACCIDENT BECAUSE I WAS NOT ABLE TO GET ANY SPEED AFTER MERGING INTO TRAFFIC. I WAS ABLE TO PUT MY BLINKER ON AN MERGE TO THE SHOULDER AND HAD TO RENT A UHAUL TRAILER TO PULL THE CAR HOME. MY CAR ONLY HAVE 132,000 MILES.

CVT TRANSMISSION FAILED WITH NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR WARNINGS. AFTER 30 MINUTE DRIVE ON FREEWAY CAME TO A STOP AT A TURN OFF. WENT TO CROSS ONCOMING TRAFFIC WITH PLENTY OF SPACE AND TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT CATCH AND MOVED EXTREMELY SLOW. CARS CAME AT SPEED AND HAD TO SLAM ON BRAKES TO AVOID COLLISION. TRANSMISSION NEEDED REPLACEMENT AND WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY OF ANY SORT.

CAR WOULDNT START BUT PANEL LIGHTS CAME ON. JUMPED STARTED CAR AND IT WORKED FINE FOR A WHILE THEN SAME ISSUE DAYS LATER, NISSAN REPLACED THE BATTERY AND WORKED FINE FOR A FEW MONTHS THEN SAME ISSUE BOUGHT ANOTHER BATTERY AND NEXT TIME CAR WOULDNT START IT MADE THE CLICK SOUND LIKE THE ALTERNATOR WAS BAD BUT ITS TESTED FINE.IM TIRED OF HAVING TO CHARGE THE BATTERY JUST SO I WONT GET STRANDED. NISSAN DEALER CLAIMS CAR HAS TO BE DRIVEN AT LEAST 20 MILES PER DAY TO KEEP BATTERY CHARGED. NEVER HAD THAT ISSUE WITH MY 1989 SENTRA BUT IT HAD OTHER ELECTRICAL ISSUES

I ALMOST DIED TODAY ON A BUSY FAST STREET MY CAR TURNED OFF WHILE IT WAS ON AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO PRESS THE BRAKES AND MY STEERING WHEEL WAS LOCKED IF IT WASN'T FOR MY EMERGENCY BRAKE WORKING AND THEY'RE BEING A PART OF THE LANE THAT WAS VACANT AT THAT SECOND I WOULD HAVE BEEN DEAD THERE WERE CARS FLYING THROUGH THAT STREET. THIS IS A COMPLETE HAZARD TO MY LIFE AND TO MY FAMILY'S LIFE AND TO THE LIVES OF OTHER CIVILIANS DRIVING. NISSAN WILL HAVE A SERIOUS LAWSUIT ON YOUR HANDS IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO ME AND MY FAMILY BECOMES AWARE THAT IT WAS AN ELECTRIC ISSUE. THE CONTACT FELT THIS WAS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,686.

UPON DRIVING MY CAR DURING A TRIP HOME FROM WORK THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I HAD THE GAS PEDAL PUSHED TO THE FLOOR AND IT WOULD NOT GO OVER 20 MPH AND THE RPM'S WOULD NOT MOVE. ONCE I GOT ON THE FREEWAY, THE CAR WOULD HARDLY ACCELERATE AND WHEN IT FINALLY DID DECIDE TO AFTER 10 MINUTES OF DRIVING THE RPM'S WENT ALL THE WAY UP AND THE SPEED ODOMETER HARDLY MOVED. THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE. I ALMOST GOT HIT IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC BECAUSE THE CAR COULD NOT SPEED UP.

WHILE DRIVING THE CAR WOULD LOSE ACCELERATION. THE FIRST TIME IT HAD HAPPEN IT WAS AROUND APRIL 2017 ON A HOT DAY. I THOUGHT MAYBE ME TURNING THE AIR ON PLUS WITH THE HEAT THAT IT WAS THE REASON FOR THE MALFUCTION, BUT THEN IT DID IT AGAIN A FEW DAYS LATER WHILE I WAS TURNING ONTO A BUSY INTERSECTION. I TOOK IT TO A CLOSE FRIEND OF MINE TO ASK IF HE HAD ANY KNOWN SOLUTIONS TO WHY I AM LOSING ACCELERATION WHILE DRIVING. BUT HE DIDN'T KNOW OF ANY. SO FOR A WHILE IT WAS DRIVING NORMAL...AT LEAST I THOUGHT. THE CODE AT NISSAN ALSO SAID IT'S A FAULTY CVT TRANSMISSION, WHICH THEY KNOW ABOUT. THERE IS EXTENDED WARRANTY TO 120,000 FOR SOME VEHICLES, BUT THEY CONVENIENTLY SAID OUR VIN IS NOT COVERED. WE ARE AT 119,000, SO THAT'S CONVENIENT FOR NISSAN. WE THEN WERE REFERRED TO NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY SAID THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO. Code P0101 came on, service Bulletin from NHTSA.gov was done. Car came back worst. Engine stalled in the middle of the street. It wouldn’t turn on, we had to push it to get it out of the street. Car will accelerate on its own when turn on. Sometimes car will accelerate when put on Reverse on its own….. RPMs will be at 7 and 8 when going 45MPH. I notice this has been an issue for Nissan Sentras 2013-2015 based on research all over the internet. People have replaced Thottle body, air mass flow sensor, break sensors, fuel intake, fuses. Vehicle isn’t safe to be driving in street, may caused an accident, even mechanic said I shouldn’t be driving the car because it isn’t safe. We already made a complaint with NHTSA, DMV for financial Help and nothing. Help is really needed.

I bought the car in May 2019. The dealership I bought it from said they worked with a Nissan dealership and replaced the transmission just before I purchased the car. Shortly after I got the car I noticed problems. I had my mechanic tell me it was the transmission slipping. In August I took it back to where I bought it and they sent it back to the Nissan dealership to check. The Nissan dealership said there was nothing wrong with it. They said it showed no codes. It continued to be a problem. I eventually took it to another mechanic and a transmission shop. Both confirmed a transition problem. I then took it to a different Nissan dealership. Lamb Nissan. They looked at it and said the program that will show error codes was not up to date and the original Nissan dealership should have updated and it was not updated. They said there is a problem but the program needed to be updated for them to know more. They updated it and I have been driving it with continued problems. I will be taking it back to Lamb Nissan in a couple weeks to have them check it out again. The problems have been after stopping at a stop sign on an incline, when I accelerate it gives a rurring sound as if it is going fast, but it barely moves. Then it will finally kick in and drive a normal speed. It also jerks. Especially when I take my foot off the brake. I have occasionally smelled a burning smell. Not sure if it is related. Answering the questions: 1) transmission - I can arrange for it to be available for inspection. 2) my safety is in question because I don’t know the exact problem and when/if it will just shut down and possibly cause an accident. 3) the problem has been confirmed by 4 places as described above. 4) it has not been inspected other than above as far as I know. 5) no warning lights have come on.

While driving my car will act like it's running out of gas, then it will kill, sometimes it starts right back up other times it won't, I have had the feul pump replaced and it's still doing it now have not had any codes till yesterday now it is saying my camshaft sensor is malfunctioning, it has killed in the middle of an intersection and almost killed on the highway, it acts like it can't switch gears but it is a cvt transmission, it cant seem to accelerate to well and has a hard time getting up to 60 mph and going up hills.

The wiring that connects to the throttle sensor is fraying and causes the car to stall unexpectedly when driving. If the car stalls unexpectedly it increases the chances of a fatal accident. There are no warnings, all the warnings appear when the car stalls. My safety is at risk because it stalls when driving unexpectedly and another car can hit me from behind causing an accident without warning.

This vehicle will not go forward or move backward. We were on the freeway ... luckily we were able to get car to drive forward before oncoming traffic hit us We were scared for our lives. We have reached out to Nissan of North America SEVERAL times about this and correcting the issue. We were just made aware recently by an attorney to try reaching out to you. They are refusing to fix issue or a recall vehicles. It is a CTC transmission issue according to mechanics. I was told that a consumer filed a suit against them for this COMMON safety issue but Nissan corporation of North America are refusing to do a recall. They are putting consumers through a lot of red tape so that they can save money while risking human lives. I’m scared that someone will be hit bad or killed because Nissan North America will not do a recall for consumers. I reported to Attorney General in Tennessee, the Home State of their Corporation but they are doing nothing seemingly regarding Nissans’s North America lack of concern for their drivers and consumers.

ON JANUARY 21, 2018, AS I WAS MERGING ON TO THE HIGHWAY TRYING TO ACCELERATE, MY SPEED WOULD NOT INCREASE INITIALLY AND MY RPMS WERE PAST 5. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND CONCERNING AS I WAS TOLD BY NISSAN THAT MY TRANSMISSION IS IN PROPER WORKING ORDER AFTER HAVING BEEN REPLACED ONCE ALREADY. MY CAR DOESN'T FUNCTION PROPERLY AND I WENT TO A TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST WHO ALSO SAID THAT MY TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING. BRAKES FAILED TO FUNCTION WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STOP WHILE GOING 35 MPH ON A DRY, STRAIGHT ROADWAY. THE PEDAL HAD SOME TENSION BEHIND IT BUT DIDN'T FEEL RIGHT, KIND OF SPONGY AND IT WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. Feb 26th, 2024 i drove my car for the first time since having surgery on Jan. 11, 2024. I was going about 35 mph when extremely fast the car radio turned off it felt as if the engine was also turned off but within a blink of your eye the car was turned back on , all by itself, a tiny jerk, nothing major. I instantly looked at the temp gauge, made sure the key was in ignition correctly. There was nothing to signal a problem. The next day i didnt leave my home. On Feb. 28, 2024 i drove the car about 7 miles and it did this same glitch twice .Again all gauges read normal, i got out of the car this time popped the hood. No smoke , no burning smell or any smell at all. I checked the fluids, the belt, the battery connections everything was fine. Later that night a family member had someone try breaking into their home. Very upset i decided to leave my home and drive over to be if some comfort. I drove a total of 21 miles, as i was turning into the driveway the car fid it again however this time i had to get it in park and restart my car. Again no over heating no smoke no burning or fuel smells. I parked the car went inside. About 7 minutes later , definitely no more than 10 minutes, i heared a loud bang. I look outside and my entire motor was on fire and the tire had already blown!! In under ten minutes!! I tried putting the fire out with the water hose but 911 dispatch heard the second tire blow and repeatedly asked me to stop and go inside the home that fire fighters were on their way . I had let my insurance go since i had emergency surgery and was unable to drive or work and pay for it. I bought this car in aug. 2020 and had to replace the cvt transmission nov. 2022. And now no car. This could have been a tragedy if anyone had small children and had ran back inside because they forgot a coat or a book bag, please look into this for other customers safety. Firefighters said it was so burnt they couldn't begin to tell how or where the fire started.

I was driving down the road and all of a sudden the car started to sputter and I couldn't accelerate. Whenever I came to a stop it jerked after a minute of the RPM just revving, it finally shifted and lunged forward. I think the transmission went bad. Made it home parked it and I've been too concerned to drive it since.

THIS HAPPENS FREQUENTLY WHEN DRIVING, AT ALL SPEEDS FROM A STANDING STOP TO HIGHWAY SPEED. THIS ISSUE SOUNDS VERY SIMILAR TO THE RECALL FOR 908,000 NISSAN VEHICLES FOR ACCELERATOR PEDAL PROBLEMS IN EARLY 2013. I THINK THAT RECALL NEEDS TO BE EXPANDED TO NISSAN MODELS SOLD IN THE USA. The contact's girlfriend owns a 2013 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while she was driving, there was an abnormal grinding sound. There was a vibration coming from the steering wheel. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the vibration was from the front lower control arm. The contact was informed that the ball joints were the cause of the abnormal clunking sound. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was approximately 104,567.

When I reversed in a parking lot, the tire arm on my front passenger tire broke, causing my car to lean on the tire. I found oil on the ground after my car moved. It had to get towed to the NISSAN dealership in Lincoln, NE. Before I got towed, I talked to the police because the damage was so significant. The dealership said that the ball joint came off because of a missing screw. I had no warning from my car or the dealership that there was a prior issue, only a loud noise and the oil on the ground.

During the failure, the check engine and air bags warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who diagnosed that the transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. It was 108 degree outside at 4:30 pm in the zip code of 89052. At a sloped intersection on a major street I stopped for the light. When the light turned green I tried to accelerate the car, it failed to accelerate, the break did not function, and the steering was difficult. The car stalled. The car started rolling downhill. I was able to turn the car to the next street ~20 yards down the intersection. The street had no slope and no other cars at the time. The car eventually stopped. But that was a dangerous incident and it could be much worse.

THERE IS NO WAY A CAR UNDER 100K MILES SHOULD HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION I BOUGHT THIS CAR @ 26K IN 2016. NOW IS COSTING ME OVER 3,000.00 TO FIX MY CAR . NISSAN IS WELL AWARE OF THE TRANSMISSION ISSUE ON THESE CARS AND INSTEAD OF RECALLING THEM THEY CONTINUE TO ALLOW THESE CARS TO BE SOLD OVER & OVER AGAIN AGAIN. I WANT A COMPLETE INVESTIGATION INTO THE ON GOING PROBLEMS WITH THE 2013 NISSAN SENTRA'S. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN SENTRA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE STEERING COLUMN BECAME DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE, FELL INTO THE CONTACT'S LAP, AND NEARLY CAUSED A CRASH. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND STOP THE VEHICLE. ONE DAY PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS ABLE TO BE TURNED, THE VEHICLE WOULD START WITHOUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION, THE DOORS LOCKED AND UNLOCKED WITHOUT WARNING, AND ALL OF THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WOULD FLASH OFF AND ON. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SPIRAL CABLE WAS FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKE PEDAL DECELERATING THE CAR, THE CAR SUDDENLY HAD A VERY LOUD GRINDING NOISE ON THE REAR PASSENGER WHEEL, LIKE THE BRAKE ROTOR GRINDING AGAINST SOME METAL PARTS THAT BROKE LOOSE INSIDE. AFTER STOPPING THE CAR INSPECTING PASSENGER REAR WHEEL AND FOUND NOTHING, I GOT BACK TO THE CAR SLOWLY ACCELERATING IT. THE LOUD GRINDING NOISE GOT WORSE AND I FELT THE BRAKE PEDAL KINDA LIGHT (LIKE NOT ALL 4 BRAKES ARE BEING APPLIED). I SUSPECT THE BRAKE SHOES OR COMPONENTS BROKE APART INSIDE THE BRAKE DRUM OF THE REAR WHEEL (PASSENGER SIDE). FORTUNATELY, I WAS AT SLOW SPEED (20-30MPH) AND ONLY ONE BLOCK AWAY FROM HOME. WILL HAVE IT TOWED TO THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT AS I ONLY HAD THIS CAR FOR ABOUT 7-8 MONTH FROM BRAND NEW. SINCE THIS IS AN ALL-NEW DESIGN 2013 SENTRA, I AM CONCERN THIS IS A FLAW ON THE BRAKE DESIGN THAT COULD CAUSE EXTREME DANGEROUS HAZARDS ON THE ROAD. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF MY VEHICLE DUE TO THE WAY IT WAS DESIGNED. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP THE FRONT WINDSHIELD FROM FOGGING UP OR ICING UP WHILE DRIVING IN INCLEMENT WEATHER. THE DEFROSTER DOES NOT ALLOW ENOUGH HEAT TO BLOW ON THE WINDSHIELD TO KEEP IT CLEAR DURING DRIVING, CAUSING THE DRIVER'S VISIBILITY TO BE OBSTRUCTED AND MAKING IT A SAFETY HAZARD. DUE TO THE FACT THERE IS NOT ENOUGH HEATED AIR BLOWING ON THE WINDSHIELD, A LARGE SECTION OF THE CORNERS (ESPECIALLY THE PASSENGER SIDE) BECOMES COATED WITH FOG OR ICE, OBSCURING VISION. THE RIGHT WINDSHIELD WIPER EVEN BECOMES COATED WITH A LARGE CHUNK OF ICE ON THE TIP, CAUSING IT TO STOP WIPING THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FRONT WINDSHIELD. ON A LONG TRIP, THE DRIVER HAS TO STOP THE VEHICLE TO MANUALLY CLEAN THE WIPER AND WINDSHIELD ON THE RIGHT SIDE OR CONTINUE DRIVING WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO SEE CLEARLY. THIS IS NOT ALWAYS AN OPTION, ESPECIALLY IF DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE WHERE THERE IS NO SAFE PLACE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE IS NOT DESIGNED TO BE DRIVEN IN A COLD CLIMATE (LIKE WINTERTIME IN THE USA). ANOTHER SAFETY RISK I HAVE RUN INTO WITH THIS VEHICLE IS THE PLACEMENT OF THE GAS TANK RELEASE BUTTON. IN ORDER TO REACH THE BUTTON, ONE HAS TO OPEN THE DRIVER DOOR AND REACH DOWN UNDER THE FRONT DASHBOARD TO POP THE GAS TANK. RATHER, THE FLUID SPRAYS THE BASE OF WINDSHIELD WIPER AND TRAPS THE LIQUID BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE BLADE AND INTO THE WIPER WELL. PINHEAD SIZED DOTS OF FLUID MAKE IT HALFWAY UP THE WINDSHIELD OFFERING NO FLUID FOR THE WIPERS TO USE TO CLEAN THE WINDOW. AFTER 4 GOOD PULLS, EXCESS WASHER FLUID DRAINED FROM THE WIPER WELL AND RAN DOWN THE SIDE OF THE CAR EXITING FROM THE DRIVER WHEEL WELL. THE WIPERS DO NOT "GRAB" AND CARRY UP ONTO THE WINDSHIELD THE EXCESS FLUID AS IT DRAINS BACK INTO THE WIPER WELL AS THE FLUID IS SPRAYED AT THE BASE OF THE WIPERS OUT OF REACH OF THE BLADE. I HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM TAKING MY CAR TO SID DILLON NISSAN IN LINCOLN, NEBRASKA, AND WAS TOLD IF THEY ADJUSTED THE SPRAYER IT WOULD SPRAY THE INSIDE OF THE HOOD AND THEY MUST LEAVE THE NOZZLES WHERE THEY ARE. I SHOULD NOTE THE NOZZLES ARE ANCHORED TO THE HOOD AND RAISE UP AND AWAY FROM THE ENGINE (NO FLUID LINES ATTACHED WHEN HOOD IS OPEN) WHEN THE HOOD IS RAISED THIS IS DANGEROUS...I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CLEAN MY WINDSHIELD (WHICH IS THE PURPOSE OF THE FLUID SPRAYER) WHEN ENCOUNTERING POST-STORM HIGHWAY SLUDGE, MELTING AND DIRTY SNOW ARE THROWN ONTO THE WINDSHIELD OF MY CAR BY OTHER VEHICLES. I DO NOT KNOW IF THE NOZZLES ARE DEFECTIVE AND THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS RELUCTANT TO REPLACE THEM OR IF THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW. Mass air flow sensor. The check engine light comes on. It’s a safety hazard because the car does not have the power to accelerate so very dangerous when trying to cross intersection driving on The road is dangerous. This mass air flow sensor part is not a maintenance/ regular service. This is the second time I’m having this issue within 14 months. I had it replaced Aug 2022 and now dealership is say I need a new one AGAIN

I called my home Nissan yesterday to get the information about my recalls on my car that I was not aware of after the State Troopers helped me get my cat to a safe location. I was told that there are recalls on the car (and was never notified) I called where it was originally bought from a Nissan Dealership and they gave me several recall codes as I was stranded in the freezing cold with my babies in the car. There are several recalls on my car (P1-1,P1-2, and P1-5,2, P1-8.) The car went from 1RPM and shot up to 8, and down to 0 and the car would not drive after that unless it was less than 15MPH. Anything over 15-20 the car would go from 1RPM back to 8, and shoot down to 0 and jerk the car forward and backwards. I was told it was only an 02 reprogramming recall from the location it was towed to, to a different Nissan dealership. However, I was given several codes of recall from the Nissan Dealership that I purchased it from.

I purchased my vehicle in July of 2017 from Ron Craft Chevrolet; the transmission became inoperable and failed in Nov2019; I had my vehicle shake and immediately the power stop on the highway, almost causing an accident. Due to pandemic; OEM parts were on hold due to processing. In September of 2021 and after a thorough review of the vehicle the purchased of the OEM directly from Nissan was validated and installed by an authorized Nissan dealer. Now been only 13months the OEM Transmission installation. There was once again a transmission failure on the highway going 60; with my children and partner. the vehicle shake and the vehicle immediately pulled back causing a powerful pull and immediately lost power and control over the steering; Almost Causing an accident on the Houston toll highway.

My complaint is that Clear Lake Nissan failed to properly repair a recall on my 2013 Sentra. The recall is located at: https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2013/NISSAN/SENTRA/4%252520DR/FWD#recalls. The Recall Campaign Bulletin # NTB13-032b / Campaign ID#: PC213 / NTSA#: 13V-069. It is located at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2013/RCRIT-13V069-4312.pdf. The date of initial issue was 8/5/2022. Associate at Clear Lake Nissan committed to run repairs on CVT reprograming & repair of OCS recall to include sensor and seatbelt repair, parts, and labor. Clear Lake Nissan has not attempted to resolve the issue; instead told me they will have to charge me a diagnostic fee of $181 and then parts and labor to do the repair. I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager and was told they will reach out to me via a phone call, but I have yet to receive a call from either a supervisor nor a manager. I purchased this car in 2018 with 30k miles. In 2020 I had to replace the transmission. Now 2022 and I have to replace the transmission again. The car is decelerating and sputtering at times. But it’s not covered? How does a car have three transmissions within such a short time under 120k miles?

The left headlight went our or so I thought until I tried to change it then it worked until I put the cover back on. Also the car beeps a warning but I never know what the warning is for. The mass airflow system sensor has been replaced 5 times as of today since 5-2021. It stalled and died leaving me scared as I tried to enter the road luckily o wasn't injured.inhave no info as far as mileage, fuel usage etc..

The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated while driving at 45 mph when the air bag warning light illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer who inspected the vehicle and found no issue and could turn off the warning light, however, after a few days, the warning light illuminated again. While driving at undisclosed speed, the contact was hit head-on by another vehicle causing damage to the front driver side of the vehicle. The air bag did not deploy. There was medical treatment at the scene. There was no one injured, however, the contact was unconscious for a minute and had some pain in their back but did not go to the hospital. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent body shop who did some repairs to the front driver side of the vehicle, and also inspected the vehicle and found issues with air bags and oil leakage to the engine but was not able to repair those issues. The vehicle was not fully repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage approximate was 210,000.

I PURCHASED FOUR SUMI TOUR PLUS LSW TIRES IN OCTOBER 2016. IN OCTOBER 2018, A BULGE WAS DISCOVERED IN ONE OF THE SIDEWALLS. TOLD ME TO CALL NISSAN USA, SO I DID. THEY GAVE A CASE NUMBER AND THEY COMMUNICATED WITH THE DEALER TO CONFIRM THE TRANSMISSION HAD FAILED. NISSAN AGREED TO PAY PART OF THE COST TO REPAIR TRANSMISSION EVEN THOUGH I TOLD THEM THAT IT WAS TOO SOON FOR THE TRANSMISSION TO FAIL. NISSAN IS CHARGING ME 2000 TO FIX IT. THE CAR THEN BRAKES AND SLOWS DOWN. I ATTEMPTED TO TRY AND TURN OFF THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT BUT THEN A SECOND LIGHT APPEARS ON THE DASH BOARD. IN ADDITION YOU ALSO LOSE ACCELERATION WHEN THIS HAPPENS.THE MECHANIC,SHOP FOREMAN,AND SERVICE ADVISERS CAME TO CONCLUSION THAT THIS IS DUE TO EXCESSIVE MOISTURE IN THE TAILLIGHT WHICH CAUSES THE CAR TO AUTOMATICALLY BRAKE WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSES A SHORTAGE IN ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. I WAS ADVISED THAT THE TAIL LIGHT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SEALED AT THE FACTORY. NISSAN WANTS ME TO PAY $491 WHICH I DONT HAVE. THEY THEN SAID I WOULD ONLY HAVE TO PAY A $100 OF WHICH I DONT HAVE. SINCE I HAVE HAD THIS NISSIAN SENTRA I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS IN WHAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A BRAND NEW CAR.THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM AND COULD CAUSE A BAD ACCIDENT WITH THIS CAR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SHORTING OUT. THAT PERSON NOTIFIED ME THAT THE TRANSMISSION (POWERTRAIN) IS DAMAGED AND HAVE TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $ 4000. THIS TRANSMISSION WAS DAMAGES BECAUSE PROPER MAINTENANCE WAS NOT PERFORMED, AS REPORTED BY THE MECHANIC. NOW, AS CAN THIS BE POSSIBLE? , IF THE CAR CONSTANTLY CARRY TO SERVICE ACCORDING TO THE WARRANTY AND MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS UPON MILES. AND IN THE SERVICE RECORD, YOU CAN SEE THAT THERE IS NO SERVICE FOR THIS PART. NISSAN SHOULD STAND BEHIND THEIR TRANSMISSION PRODUCT, REPUTATION AND DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR ALL CONSUMERS WHO EXPERIENCE A TRAUMATIC AND COSTLY SITUATION DUE TO THE POOR QUALITY AND FAILED TRANSMISSION. NISSAN DECLINE TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN APRIL. TWO MONTHS LATER I REALIZED THAT WHEN IN DRIVE WHEN I SET MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE I WOULD HEAR A GRINDING NOISE IN THE BACK OF THE CAR. WHEN I WOULD PUT IT IN REVERSE THE NOISE WOULD NOT OCCUR. IT WAS ALWAYS WHEN I WOULD HIT THE BREAKS UNTIL THE CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. IT WOULD NOT MAKE THE NOISE WHEN I HIT THE BREAKS SUDDENLY. WHEN I CALLED NISSAN AND BROUGHT IT IN FOR THEM I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A FLUID PROBLEM. AFTER 2 WEEKS THE NOISE BEGAN AGAIN, NOW IT HAS STOPPED AND GOES ON AND OFF. ALSO I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE INDICATOR FOR THE PASSENGER AIR BAG WILL BE OFF AT TIMES WHEN THERE IS AN ADULT SITTING IN THE SEAT. THIS ALSO HAPPENS ON AND OFF. I HAVE HAD IT THOUGH, WHERE THE INDICATOR HAS COME ON SAYING THE AIR BAG IS OFF FOR 3 DAYS IN A ROW, HAVING SOMEONE SITTING IN IT. THE THIRD PROBLEM IS THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID DOES NOT SPRAY CORRECTLY. IT POOLS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD AND SO IT DOES NOT CLEAN IT CORRECTLY. FINALLY THE LAST PROBLEM IS THAT I HAVE NOTICED WHEN I FILL UP THE GAS TANK THE AMOUNT OF MILES I GET ARE DIFFERENT EVERY TIME. I HAVE A PARTICULAR ROUTINE EVERYDAY AND EVERY WEEKEND. AT TIMES IT SEEMS I HAVE MORE GAS THAN WHEN I HAVE FILLED IT UP BEFORE. WHEN I HAVE USED THE ECO BUTTON AT TIMES, IT SEEMS THAT ONCE IN A WHILE IT WILL WORK THE WAY IT IS SUPPOSED TOO. I GOT SIDE-SWIPED ON MONDAY, AND ON WED A SECOND PERSON WAS IN MY BLIND SPOT WHILE I WAS TRYING TO MERGE TO THE RIGHT. I HAD MY SIGNAL LIGHTS ON, I LOOKED SEVERAL TIMES EACH TIME. THE ONLY REASON WHY I WAS ABLE TO AVOID THE 2ND ACCIDENT WAS BECAUSE I HEARD THE PERSON'S BRAKES SCREECH. THERE IS NO VISIBILITY OUT THE BACK REAR PASSENGER WINDOW. THE DOOR COMES UP SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER (MAYBE 4-5 INCHES) THAN IN THE OLDER SENTRA'S. THE MIRROR DOES NOT ROTATE FAR ENOUGH TO THE RIGHT IN ORDER TO SEE IN TO THE BLIND SPOT. NO ONE RIDING IN MY BLIND SPOT CAN SEE MY BLINKING SIGNAL LIGHT. OVERALL THIS CAR IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. GETTING HIT ONCE AND ALMOST A SECOND TIME WAS SCARY. THIS HAPPENED ON A VERY BUSY HIGHWAY (495). THIS CAR NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. THE FLAWS ARE INHERENT TO THE POOR DESIGN OF THE VEHICLE. THE DOOR AND MIRRORS ARE DEFECTIVE. THESE ARE DESIGN FLAWS WHICH THE CONSUMER CAN'T FIX OR MAYBE UNAWARE OF DURING A SIMPLE TEST DRIVE. THIS CAR SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN ON A HIGHWAY. *TR

1ST INCIDENT WITH OUR NEW 2013 NISSAN SENTRA OCCURRED @ 247 MI., IN OUR POSSESSION LESS THAN 1 WEEK, GOING 50MPH (2 CHILDREN IN CAR WITH ME), CAR JUST SHUT OFF. DEALER RESET COMPUTER SYSTEM. IT HAS BEEN DOWN HILL SINCE, I TOOK IT IN TODAY FOR THE 5TH TIME SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED 3.5 MONTHS AGO (IT NOW HAS 3700MI). REPEATED ISSUES WITH RPM'S RUNNING HIGH ANYWHERE BETWEEN 2,000 & 4,000 OR AT AN ALL MOST STOP WILL FLUTTER DOWN TO 0 LIKE IT'S GOING TO STALL. CRACKLING/RATTLING NOISES FROM THE DRIVERSIDE DASHBOARD. NOW ALSO COMING FROM THE A-PILLAR (?). ISSUES WITH SPEAKERS (STATIC/CRACKLING NOISES) HAD THE SAME BREAK AND AIRBAG LIGHT ISSUES. THERE IS NOW GROWLING NOISES COMING FROM FRONT, CAR SEEMS TO "BUCK" AROUND 2-4K RPM'S. OH YEAH MY DRIVER DOOR HANDLE IS NOW FALLING APART. DID I COVER ALL THE PROBLEMS I HAVE HAD WITH A $20+ BRAND NEW CAR???? I THINK SO, BUT THEN AGAIN WE HAVEN'T OWNED IT ALL THAT LONG! I DID OPEN A CLAIM WITH NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS WHEN IT WAS IN ON IT'S 3RD VISIT, I WAS DENIED A REPURCHASE, BUT REST ASSURED A NISSAN CERTIFIED REPAIR SHOP WILL FIX ANY PROBLEMS. I WAS TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE ON 4/6 HEADED TO SC AT 5 AM WHEN THE CAR STARTED TO DECELERATE BY ITSELF. WITH THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR THE CAR WOULD NOT GO PAST 45. THEN SUDDENLY IT WILL TAKE OFF. THE CAR DOES THIS AT RANDOM AND IT CANNOT BE DETECTED ON THE COMPUTER ACCORDING TO NISSAN. FRIDAY NIGHT THE CAR DID THE SAME THING. THIS TIME WAS WORST AND I WAS IN TRAFFIC WITH PEOPLE BEHIND ME. AS I STARTED TO PULL OFF FROM THE LIGHT THE CAR WOULD NOT GO PAST 25. I IMMEDIATELY PUT THE FLASHERS ON PRAYED THAT I DID NOT GET HIT FROM BEHIND. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR AND I AM CURRENTLY PAYING FOR A RENTAL BECAUSE NISSAN LITHIA SPRINGS REFUSED TO GIVE ME A RENTAL OR LOANER. I AM VERY DISTRESSED ABOUT THIS CAR. NISSAN LITHIA SPRINGS SAID THEY WOULD TRADE ME OUT THE CAR BUT WANTED TO TREAT IT AS A TRADE. WHY WOULD I PAY FOR TWO CARS WHEN MY SENTRA IS OBVIOUSLY A LEMON. I AM OTALLY FRUSTRATED I HAVE A BRAND NEW CAR THAT I CANNOT DRIVE AND KNOW ONE SEEMS TO CARE. THE CAR WAS PURCHASED ON 3/18. WENT TO SERVICE 4/8 PICKED UP 4/9 THEY SAID THAT IT WAS A IDLE PROGRAM. RETURNED TO SERVICE 4/11 AND WAS PICKED UP 4/24. I TOOK THE CAR BACK ON 4/26 AND IT IS STILL THERE. I HAVE TRIED CONTACTING NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY DON'T RETURN PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS.
