The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle erratically jerked and the vehicle stalled. The contact noticed an abnormal whining sound. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with transmission failure. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that days later, while attempting to start the vehicle, the gear shifter was shifted into reverse and the engine seized. The contact stated that the vehicle was inoperable. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 163,000.

Transmission failed after used car purchase. Called regarding fluid on driveway and was told normal after oil change. Continued fluid leak past 30 day warranty. Tried to get Nissan dealer to look at it but was told must go back to used dealer (same company) next door as they sold it. Dozens of calls later, no return calls, wrong transfers, etc. then cancelled appts, got to shop and was told bad transmission. Called Nissan Corp. nothing. Back to dealer who has car that can’t be driven and told best can do is split cost of used or rebuilt $5300-6400. Online forums show there is definitely an issue with Nissan CVT transmissions. Nissan should extend warranty to used car purchasers for at least one year.

CVT Transmission -available upon request to inspect. Safety was at risk as I was in flow of traffic and suddenly lost power to the transmission slowing suddenly, Cars behind me had to swerve to keep from hitting my car. Car has not been inspected at this time, there were no warnings or symptoms prior to the failure. During normal operation at interstate speed Speed over 60 mph. The cvt transmission slips and experiences a sudden loss of power making it difficult to safely operate on the interstate. This condition also occurs when leaving a stop. the vehicle loses power and does not want to accelerate properly under normal operation. Causing cars behind me to have to slow down to prevent accidents.

There is a transmission issue with my vehicle. It has been present since I first obtained the vehicle. Generally, the gears tend to “slip” or stutter, creating a stalling motion upon accelerating. It has stayed the same relatively up until recently when it would not stay in gear or switch gears and I could not accelerate at all. This is very scary because it could lead to an accident, a crash, or not being able to move my vehicle to a safe place. Upon research, I have seen many other Nissan Sentra 2016 owners experience the same issue, and Nissan continues to do nothing about it. I had my personal mechanic look at it and he confirmed it was the transmission and it would need to be replaced. I spoke with Nissan and they said there is no active recall on my specific vehicle, even though the transmission is the original transmission. They quoted me at almost $9000.00 to get a replacement. There were no lights present in my vehicle indicating there was an issue, and as stated previously, I experienced the stuttering issue up until the transmission gave out completely. This has been occurring since I got the vehicle in 2021.

Transmission failed/malfunctioned. While driving the car it started to slow down and I couldn't accelerate any longer causing the car to come to a complete stop in the middle of the road. I had my two young children with me. If a car would have been too close behind me they could have rear ended me and caused harm to myself or my children. I have not taken the vehicle to the dealership since it is over 30 miles away and is undrivable and I am unable to afford a tow truck at this time. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than my husband. There were not warning messages prior and the only other issues I had with the car prior is problems with the air conditioner not work and making a vibrating sound.

While I was driving on [XXX] , a piece of ampact tap metal (the "C" piece) hit my front part of the car, it went on the lower rack of my car, and it got trapped in the car. This piece fell from a truck that was loaded, I got scared but kept driving, the car seems fine, but I couldn't see the truck information plaque. This was on [XXX] between [XXX]. close to Miller factory. The piece measure 5 x 3.5 inches and weights around 1-1.5 pounds. I would like to know if there is any recorded traffic tape on the [XXX] cameras. This will help me to hold accountable to the responsible vehicle. This car has the CVT, and it is worthless. I have a 2016 Nissan Sentra just hit over 100,000 miles, and I already had to replace the transmission in February 2024, and it just went again and needs replaced. That’s three months. it might have a warranty, but this is not worth my time. There is no way this should’ve went in three months and the first month, I did not drive because I had knee replacement. Nissan is not helpful at all about this issue and we have put over $4,000 Into this, and that does not count utilizing a car while the cars in the shop or anything else.

The check engine light keeps coming on and it gives the code for a mass airflow sensor. I went to the mechanic, had them clean it for $126 and one year later my check engine light is back on with the same code. Online there are many people with the same vehicle stating they have the part replaced, and the same thing happens again with a check engine, light coming on giving that code. It states online if the car is dangerous to drive with this code being the mass air flow sensor. This needs to be a recall because this part is very expensive with labor ($4-$600) for this problem to keep re-occurring. Nissan needs to do something about this issue!!!!!

I GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT GOING 55+ MPH ON THE FREEWAY AND GOT HIT BY A BIG RIG AND NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. PRIOR TO THIS I HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE FOR AN OIL CHANGE WHEN I WAS TOLD THE AIRBAGS WERE RECALLED SO THEY FIXED THEM. Transmission began slipping in summer of 2023. Recall was already open on car and current when taken to dealership. Dealership refused to service, closed recall as corrected without inspecting the vehicle correctly. Transmission has gotten worse.

The contact stated that a message indicating that the vehicle could not read the key fob was displayed; however, the key fob was in her pocket. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who informed the contact that the battery and the key fob battery were in good condition. The dealer replaced an unknown fuse, and the vehicle restarted; however, the failure recurred two weeks later. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where an unknown fuse was replaced; however, the failure recurred the following day. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that an unknown wiring harness had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. This 2016 Nissan Sentra has parasitic battery draining. There is a great safety issue in not having a ready vehicle for emergency situations. I am also not confident the vehicle will start when away from home. The highest grade AGM battery was purchased to replaced the original battery to no avail. The vehicle requires continuous jump starts. Alternator appears to be functioning according to testing.

It's been 6 months the car started to skeet transmission gear. When driving in highway at 65 to 70 mph the clock of idle start going from 1 up to 4 up and down. I took it to a auto repair and the mechanic stated is the transmission. I've done a research and other people have the same issue. I want to prevent a crash if the transmission goes down and car stop abruptly.

I WANT TO BE REIMBURSE FOR HAVING TO PAY TO HAVE MY TRANSMISSION REPLACED. I HAD TO PAY 3 THOUSAND + DOLLARS TO HAVE IT FIXED, WHICH I DIDN'T HAVE. I NEEDED TO GET A LOAN TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS ON A GARBAGE CAR THAT YOU ALL KNEW HAD TRANSMISSION ISSUES AND AGREED TO PAY FOR SOME TRANSMISSIONS BUT BECAUSE MINE WAS A FEW MILES OVER YOUR ALLOWED MILES, YOU DID NOT PAY WHEN YOUR THE MULTI MILLION DOLLAR COMPANY WHO MADE THESE CARS INCORRECTLY!! I purchased the car as a graduation present for my son in 2018. He was using it to get back and forth to work and school. Currently the car has less than 60,000 miles on it. So, it was not being excessively driven. In Dec her of 2023, He began having issues with the vehicle stalling and overheating. It began to jerk and would randomly lose power. While driving to work the car over heated and we got it to a mechanic on 1/7/24. The independent service center stated the engine needed to be replaced and he would also inspect the transmission due to the loss of power and slipping my son was describing. Once the engine was replaced the mechanic confirmed the transmission would also need to be replaced. My son spent all his savings on the engine so we took the car home to determine options. The quote for a new transmission is 3-4k plus labor. I am too scared to let my son drive the car so it has been parked in my drive way since we got the car back in February of 24. My son has been saving to try and get it fixed. His coworker told him about a class action that was filed against Nissan for the same issue for Sentras from 2013-2017. I was never contacted and never received any recall notice. There were no warning lamps or other symptoms when the issues began. I tried to add the receipt from the engine replacement but it will not upload

My 2016 Nissan Sentra malfunctioned while driving on the Highway three separate times. The car suddenly lost its ability to accelerate and seemed to power down while becoming more difficult to steer. It seemed to start shuddering and I thought it may have been a front end flat tire. After pulling off the road and putting the car in park, when I waited a minute or two, I placed the car in drive and there was no problem until a month later and it hppended again except on an interstate while driving over a long bridge. Two different Nissan dealers could not diagnose any issues and kind of threw up theirs hands with no suggestions except to bring it in again if it happens once more. The auto has become hazardous to drive for two seniors, and no one seems to be able to diagnose or fix the issues. I read online about Nissan CVT transmission recalls for these Sentras, but never received any recall notifications.

My Nissan Sentra 2016 lost power for the first time back in 2020 while driving and i was unable to accelerate properly. I was so concerned because i was driving while the incidents happened. The car was taken to the Nissan dealership for inspection and they said that the transmission was the problem. No repairs were performed. On November 2022 the car suddenly lost power for the second time and i was unable to properly accelerate while driving it on the highway. No warning lamps showed before it failed. They appear after the car losses power.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Brake Light Switch How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Per multiple reports this could cause the car not to start or to indicate to cars that the vehicle is slowing down and preparing to stop Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Back in 2019 I was having this issue and in 2020 took it to a Nissan dealership to have it looked into and repaired (Unknowingly that there was a recall for this specific issue) Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? After experiencing this years ago I knew what steps needed to be taken in order to have this resolved. This started to happen again on the night of 12/15/24

wE HAVE ALREADY PAID MONEY TO HAVE THE RECALL ISSUE FIXED WITH A DEALER. I AM NOT SURE IF IT WILL BE THE SAME FIX BUT WE WOULD REQUEST TO BE REFUNDED FOR THE PARTS AND LABOR WE HAD DONE ON THE CAR FOR THE SAME ISSUE.

The contact contacted an independent mechanic and informed them that the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 21v135000 ( exterior lights). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided a reference number. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

I AM HAVING ISSUES WITH MY CAR NOT STARTING. I SEE SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME SEVERAL TIMES WITHIN A MONTH AND A HALF. I GO OUTSIDE TO GET IN MY VAR AND IT WILL NOT START. I HAVE TO GET JUMPS AND AFTER SEVERAL TIMES IT WILL START. ALL OTHER LIGHTS BE ON THE CAR JUST WON'T START. GOT A NEW BATTERY FROM NISSAN ON THURSDAY OCT 8TH AND STILL HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AS WELL AS A WHINNING NOISE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD WHEN THE CAT HAS NOT EVEN BEEN DRIVEN. WE NEED SOME HELP. ON 11/02/17 BROUGHT THE CAR IN FOR THE BRAKES AND SERVICE SAID THEY COULDN'T GET IT TO SQUEAK WHILE IT WAS AT THE SHOP. WAS IN FOR 1 DAY FOR SERVICE. NOW ITS 1/16/18 BROUGHT THE CAR BACK IN AGAIN AND SERVICE CAN HEAR GRIND/SQUEAK SOUND MILEAGE UNDER 12,000 MILES AND SHOP WANTS TO SHAVE THE ROTORS ON MY CAR AND REPLACE BRAKE PADS. I DO NOT WANT MY ROTORS SHAVED AS THAT MAKES IT ONE LESS TIME I CAN DO THAT IN THE FUTURE. SO SERVICE REPLACES WITH NEW NISSAN ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS. CAR IN SHOP FOR 10 DAYS NOW ITS 8/16/18 CAR HAS LESS THEN 5,000 MILES ON NISSAN FACTORY PARTS AND BRAKES ARE MAKING NOISE AGAIN. WELL I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO KNOW THAT WHEN I WAS PURCHING THIS VECHILE. AS OF WRITING THIS LETTER THE BRAKES STARTED TO SQUEAK AGAIN. MODEL 2016 ALREADY NEEDS THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED. HAPPENS OFTEN - THE DEALERS EVEN STOCK IT. WILL ONLY GUARANTEE THE WORK FOR ONE YEAR, AS THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH SEVERAL CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS. CAR STALLS CONSTANTLY, HIGH AND LOW SPEEDS AND MUST BE PUSHED OFF THE ROAD. HAD TO TOW IT TO THE DEALER.

At least 7 times I have come across the same Safety issue, where I had to accelerate on to the highway and as I placed my foot o foot pedal. My vehicle wouldn't accelerate as if the engine and transmission were not communicating together. I had several vehicles follow very close to me from behind. I placed my hazard lights on. I even placed my foot all the way down to the floor panel and there was no reaction from the transmission again I had to place my hazard warning light on to inform the vehicles behind me that I was having trouble accelerating. I had to drive slow all the way home, this issue has been occurring for 1 week now.

I purchased this vehicle from Capital Auto Auction, and it was listed as having only a “minor engine stutter” and that it “runs and drives.” However, within 5 minutes of driving away from the auction, the vehicle became unsafe and experienced multiple immediate safety failures. The vehicle developed a loud whining noise, lost acceleration, and would not move even with the accelerator pressed. The check engine light and red battery light came on immediately even though these warnings were not disclosed at the auction listing. The car became unable to drive and created a hazardous situation in traffic. I had to call AAA roadside assistance, and the vehicle had to be towed. A Nissan dealership inspected the vehicle and documented that it has serious safety and drivability concerns, including likely transmission failure and possible electrical system tampering. When attempting to diagnose the vehicle, the OBD2 diagnostic port would not power on, which indicates a potential electrical wiring issue or fuse failure. I also discovered signs that the electrical system may have been tampered with prior to the sale, including a blown fuse and wiring abnormalities. The vehicle shows multiple unsafe conditions: * Loss of acceleration in traffic * Sudden transmission failure * Electrical malfunction * Dashboard warning lights not previously disclosed * Diagnostic port not functioning * Battery warning light activation * Car becoming undriveable within minutes of use These issues were not disclosed at the time of purchase and present clear safety hazards, as the vehicle could not accelerate or maintain speed in traffic. I am filing this complaint to report the unsafe condition of the vehicle and the immediate failure that occurred right after purchase. This poses a danger not only to the driver but to other motorists on the road.

2016 NISSAN SENTRA. When accelerating from red light on major multi lane highway, vehicle lost ability to accelerate and stalled in the middle of the road, brake pedal was difficult to press to stop vehicle rolling, and all vehicle dash lights illuminated. The vehicle was put into neutral and pushed across multiple lanes to the side of the highway. The vehicle was then towed to a Nissan dealership in the area. We were told that the fuel pump needed to be replaced at a cost of $1400. Mileage at time of failure was 51,573. Dealership said the fuel pump should last 100,000 miles.

When trying to accelerate, the car begin shudders and then couldn't jerks. The RPM fluctuates and jumps spastically and today, I couldn't accelerate at all and lost power completely after trying to accelerate at a green light. Car also slowed itself down on the interstate while traveling at 70 mph for a month straight and then would stall again about 15 minutes later going 15 mph in a parking lot. Checked the code the check engine light gave about an over retarded cam shaft sensor, replaced it, and am still having the same issue.

I have a 2016 Nissan Sentra SV with 103k miles on it. I was driving the car, and noticed at stop sign and red lights the car would strain and hesitate when the accelerator was pressed. It would jerk hard then drive normally. The car would also loose power while driving. It would drop from 65 mph to 20 mph. It has done this numerous of times, and I have to try and maneuver off to the side of the highway to avoid a crash. The check engine light illuminated.The car would sit for a few minutes, accelerate, and drive normal. A few minutes later, the cycle starts again. I would also smell as if something was burning. After taking it to the shop, it was determined it was the CVT which was recalled in 2018 for 2013-2017 Nissan Sentra due to faulty CVT's. However, it is based on your VIN number according to Nissan.I did speak to a representative from Nissan Consumer Affairs and she stated my VIN number should NO RECALLS!!!! I have this car that is doing everything that granted the recall, but because they did not put my VIN number on their list it doesn't qualify. Several transmission shop has told me they do not attempt to repair the CVT they buy a new transmission from Nissan dealership. The price starts at $5200. [XXX] please help!!! The CVT Transmission has a bad shudder while driving and shifting into gears. It jerks when trying to accelerate and is extremely slow trying to accelerate the vehicle. The safety of me and other vehicles were in danger because the vehicle failed to accelerate when going up an incline or just driving down an even lane road with no inclines or hills. The vehicle has been inspected by a certified auto repair shop and after inspection, I was told that the CVT Transmission needs to be replaced. The first instance of trouble happened on June 7th, 2023 while I was driving to work. The check engine light came on and the accelerator was hesitant. The car could barely maintain a safe speed. I was travelling on the highway when this occurred.

THE CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF FIRST GEAR AND ALMOST DIES IN THE MIDDLE OF INTERSECTION. The problem with the car is that after a stop sign, the car no longer moved forward, it stayed in the road, this was blocking traffic and it was dangerous to get out of the car, the tow truck arrived to move it from the road, several mechanics examined it and said that the transmission was damaged, the car has only traveled 78,140 miles.

I have been having this problem for years and no one has been able to tell me what is wrong or how I can fix it. My RPM’s will fluctuate rapidly and I am unable to accelerate and it feels jumpy. It stopped accelerating completely one time on the freeway. I was only able to get back up to 25mph, it was so scary. Luckily I was close to an exit and got off. Replaced mass air flow sensor and it started working normally for about a month. It has not completely stopped working since then but the RPM’s still fluctuate most days. I feel scared it will give out one day or cause me to crash. I have taken it to different mechanics as well as the Nissan dealership and they all say nothing seems wrong. They recommend a transmission drain and fill, which I have done. The problem still persists. I see this is a common issue with others as well. It needs to be addressed as it is extremely scary and puts peoples lives at risk.

I'VE SEEN THE SAME PROBLEM NOTED FOR NISSAN SENTRA AND OTHER MODELS, IT'S A SCARY THING FOR A VEHICLE TO COMPLETELY STOP ON A ROAD OR HIGHWAY, IF THE PARKING LOT WASN'T NEARBY, MY FAMILY AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN SITTING DUCKS TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC OR STRAINED ON A HIGHWAY. The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that the vehicle was difficult to start. The contact stated that the failure recurred after a Volkswagen dealer had completed the vehicle inspection. The dealer shifted to neutral(N) and pushed the vehicle into the garage. The dealer diagnosed that the brake light switch had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the part was previously replaced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V135000 (Exterior Lighting); however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to #1 Cochran Nissan West Hills (7900 University Blvd, Coraopolis, PA 15108), where the contact was informed that after a recall repair completion, the recall parts were only warrantied for 12,000 miles or 365 days, whichever occurred first. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle would be repaired at the contact's expense and provided an estimate for the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 111,626.

Transmission was failing without any check engine light on-> right passenger side tire would skid before transmission was replaced -> new transmission replaced still has issues shifting at times. Inspection was done by Nissan 104th in Northglenn.( sends out a threat to public by transmission not shifting gears properly to move or get out of way of other cars going faster speeds) Seat belt restraint system-> dashboard displays little person but when shifting from P to D and going above 40 the seatbelt icon doesn’t blink or make any sound just is stuck on until seatbelt is put in then it goes away( this displays a safety concern for self and others)

I read all of the 214 complaints by consumers who have had the same scary incident occur to them. I have completed all of my recalls and for the life of the vehicle I have had the maintenance plan. The car has been well taken car of. After reading the complaints, I also have had an incident where the vehicles RPM's increased for no reason almost causing me to hit another vehicle in front of me and I quickly swerved to miss the vehicle. Then as quick as this happened the car just slowed down to a complete stop. I tried putting my foot on the accelerator and the vehicle would not move. I then pressed the accelerator all the way down to the floor of the vehicle. Nothing. This halting stop almost caused several vehicles to get in an accident. This is a serious problem and Nissan needs to rectify this horrible safety issue and fix all of our cars. I am going to talk to a lawyer. This is going to kill someone or cause serious harm to others.

The contact rented a 2016 Nissan Sentra with Turo. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 mph, she heard an abnormal noise before the steering wheel and brakes seized. The contact stated the air bag warning light was illuminated before. The contact stated the vehicle steered independently out of control and drove through bushes and trees. The contact stated she ended up on the opposite side of the road and with the side air bags deployed but the driver's side air bag did not deploy. As my vehicle was exiting a major highway, the vehicle began to shake and putter. I was able to put my vehicle in park within 1 minute of this puttering. Once in park, the vehicle began to shake more rapidly and louder. I assumed something terrible was going to happen and shut the car off. After an hour and a half, I started the vehicle back up and not to my surprise experienced the puttering and shaking once again. I put the vehicle in drive and began to slowly step on the gas while turning into the road and the car shut completely off and slid back toward the curb with the engine light on and battery. I had to call AAA to have me towed home and on their arrival, they were able to back the vehicle up and forward as long as he pushed down full throttle. The AAA representative suggested through his knowledge of mechanics that it seems there is an issue with either the spark plugs or the fuel pump/filter combo. After changing the spark plugs and still having this issue tonight....we are leaning towards the pump as the issue. There were no lights or warnings prior to the shaking that began as stated in this entry.

THE CONTACT THEN STATED THAT UPON RETURN OF THE VEHICLE, THE POWER STEERING INTERMITTENTLY FAILED TO OPERATE AS NEEDED, WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE STEERING WHEEL WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. Consumer stated the following needs to be replaced wiring harness, steering wheel, door handles which are coming off, rear wheel hun, cabin air filter, lube oil and filter service, ABS actuator, front tire wear, key error light, at times vehicle will not start, seat belt light stays on, door rattles on driver's side, transmission replacement, air flow sensor lost calibration, and paint is flaking on rear bumpers.

THE MILEAGE WAS 108,000 WHEN IT WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER BECAUSE I DID NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT. DEALERSHIP CONFIRMED TRANSMISSION NEEDS REPLACED FOR JUST UNDER $4000. CALLED NISSAN CORP BACK WHO SENT THE INFO UP FOR REVIEW. ON 01-19-21 I RECEIVED A CALL FROM COLLEEN WHO STATED SHE IS THE DISTRICT MANAGER AND THE VEHICLE IS NO LONGER COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND THEY 'HAVE FULFILLED THEIR OBLIGATION'. EACH QUESTION WAS ANSWERED WITH THE SAME VERBATIM RESPONSE. I ASKED TO HAVE THE CASE BE ESCALATED ABOVE COLLEEN DUE TO THE FACT THE TRANSMISSION WENT BAD EARLY DUE TO THEIR FAULTY CVT SYSTEM THEY CONTINUE TO SELL AND HAVE NOT RECALLED. AFTER BEING TOLD SHE DOES NOT HAVE A BOSS, COLLEEN STATED THEY WILL GIVE ME THE SAME ANSWER AS SHE MAKES THE DECISION AND THEY HAVE MET THEIR OBLIGATION. I ASKED SHE ESCALATE IT ANYWAYS. CANDIDLY I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO CRASH THE VEHICLE AS I DID SWERVE AT ABOUT 45 MILES PER HOUR. KEEP IN MIND I WAS TRAVELING AT 65 MILE PER HOURS. IT PUNCHES WHEN YOU GO TO TAKE OFF, FEELS LIKE IT IS LOSING POWER WHEN DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, DIFFICULT ACCELERATING, JERKS WHILE DRIVING, SHIFTS ON ITS OWN FROM ABOUT 1.5 RPM UP TO 3 WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, AND NISSAN SAID IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY BECAUSE I AM OVER 60,000 MILES (MY MILEAGE IS AT ABOUT 64,000 MILES). 2016 NISSAN SENTRA SR (CURRENT MILEAGE EST. 60,000 MILES) THE IGNITION ISSUE ON MY VEHICLE HAS STARTED AROUND 20,000 MILES. NORMALLY, THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION ON A HIGHWAY DURING MY COMMUTE TO AND FROM WORK (WHICH IS 60 MILES A DAY), THE SLIP TRACTION LIGHT STAYS ON FOR DAYS REGARDLESS OF WEATHER CONDITIONS. DURING THIS TIME THE ACCELERATION OF MY VEHICLE IS STALLING. A JERKING MOTION AS I PRESS THE ACCELERATOR. A REPAIR WAS INITIATED BUT NO TO AVAIL, THE ACCELERATION IS STILL STALLING. THERE IS A FAULT IN THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY SYSTEM. WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY, THE BRAKE SWITCH ACTS UP AND THE CAR CAN'T TURN ON. THE BRAKE GETS STIFF AND I'M UNABLE TO TURN ON THE VEHICLE FOR 10 -30 MINUTES. PUSHING THE IGNITION BUTTON ALONE, THE CAR WILL LIGHT UP AND THE RADIO WILL TURN ON THEREFORE THERE IS NO ISSUE WITH THE BATTERY. THE BRAKE SWITCH HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE IN TWO CONSECUTIVE MONTHS. CURRENTLY THIS ISSUE IS OCCURRING WITH A NEW BRAKE SWITCH IN MY VEHICLE. I GOT INTO A MINOR FENDER BENDER. THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME ONLY HAD A SMALL SCRATCH. I WAS GOING AT LOW SPEEDS WHEN THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME STOPPED. UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS I HAD PLENTY OF ROOM TO STOP. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY ONLY DOWNLOADED CODES AND WHAT I WAS DESCRIBING WAS THE TRANSMISSION AND AFTER LOOKING INTO IT THEY DECIDED THEY WOULD REPLACE A VALVE IN THE TRANSMISSION UNDER WARRANTY. THEY SAID THAT A PART ALSO NEEDED REPLACING BECAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT. THEY SAID THE PART WAS ON BACKORDER. I ASKED FOR DOCUMENTATION OF WHAT THEY WERE GOING TO DO TO MY CAR AND THEY REFUSED AND SAID I WOULD GET IT AT THE END. NOW THE PART IS FURTHER BACKORDERED. WHEN I WENT TO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP THEY PULLED THE AUTOCHECK REPORT TO FIND THAT THE CAR HAD BEEN PURCHASED FROM AN AUCTION IN CA AND IS SHOWING A TITLE BRAND FOR FRAME OR STRUCTURAL DAMAGE RECORD AND A POSSIBLE ODOMETER ROLLBACK. THE TIRES ARE WEARING UNEVENLY AND ARE NOT SAFE AND I HAVE ALREADY REPLACED THE BRAKES OUT OF MY POCKET. I CAN'T TRADE THE CAR IN DUE TO THIS REPORT.
