Transmission actively failing. Transmission flush was done at dealership and car began jerking when accelerating and shifting gears. When the transmission flush was done, they did a multipoint inspection and said everything was clear. No lights have come on.

My car only goes into reverse. It is right under 100 k miles. i have been told it needs a new cvt transmissions and it cost more to replace than what my car is worth. There were no warning lights. It is a 2019 Nissan Sentra.

The drivers side door lock is defective. The automatic locking does not work. This is unsafe since the doors need to be locked manually which puts people at right of opening the door while driving. There are currently no recalls or warnings in regards to this malfunction. Also, the electrical and sound in the front radio screen is also defective. I did take it to Nissan and they said it would need to be completely replaced. This service would cost $400. Because of this defect, you cannot talk to emergency services if needed.

Car is constantly turning on inside even if the car is turned off, the radio will play all night. Sometimes in comes on and then it turns off. When car is turned on and I am driving all of a sudden screen and dashboard will go out all black and then all of a sudden turns on. This has been happening since I purchased the vehicle which was about 2 years ago, I did take back to question it and it was stated to me that sometimes vehicles do that because the vehicle has just been turned off. Now to add to that I am getting a key system error on dashboard when driving the car and electrically speaking the doors are now not locking but everything mechanically is intact and working.

Bought a used car from a dealership, in April 2023. Battery is being drained when parked. I have been stranded several times, due to the battery failure. First time happened 6 months after purchase. Now battery needs to be replaced frequently, about every 2 months

The radio system of car the Nissan connect turns on and off when the car is parked and off it does drain my car battery to the point I have to replace it all the time this issues happened the camera works off and on the CarPlay and android auto sometimes work but it doesn’t which is a safety concern when trying to answer calls through the car and messages but it won’t let me do that due to those issues

Sporadic loss of throttle response while driving. This has happened twice, incidents occurring about 2 weeks apart. The first incident occurred while driving. I went to accelerate and had no throttle response. The situation corrected itself in under 20 seconds. I believe it was in wet weather conditions. The second event occurred yesterday 03/15/24 in wet conditions pulling out of a parking lot. Loss of all throttle response. Let vehicle coast to a safe spot and pulled over. Turned engine off and restarted vehicle. Normal throttle response after that.

Intermittently unable to start (start button flickers quickly sometimes). Dealer checked out common start issues like battery and alternator for free and charged for start lamp switch but still intermittently cannot start car. Based on internet research, not just me and possible needs to be recall on start lamp or corroding brake/cruise switches immediately above brake. Stranded several times. When won't start also won't use lights, door locks, etc.

The Automatic Emergency Braking does not operate as it was designed to. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request. My and my families safety was put at risk because the AEB failed to engage as it should have. We didn't have an accident, but came very close to it. This has happened before, and every time the vehicle fails to automatically brake. I have complained about and had the vehicle inspected for this issue several times by the dealer, during AND after the manufacturers warranty expired. Every time I'm told it's operating as expected....it is not! I hear warning beeps, often when someone is turning in front of me and I'm not even close to them, but it never attempts to brake. I never heard it beep when getting close enough to a vehicle directly in front of me to make it activate, until recently. After the last time I complained to the dealer about it, it's now acting different. It now beeps when I'm coming up to a vehicle that's directly in front of me, but it still fails to activate the brakes as I believe it should. I've driven other vehicles with this system and the brakes activate well before there's a chance of collision. This issue appeared within the first few months we owned the vehicle, which I purchased brand new from the dealer.

As I was driving, my car randomly came to a quick, abrupt and forceful break. It began making a beeping noise and something quickly flashed on my dashboard. It disappeared before I had a chance to read it but I remember it flashing “red”. The break lasted for maybe a second but it was extremely alarming and could have caused a severe accident if the surrounding cars were close to me. This is my second time experiencing this issue. Since it hadn’t happened in such a long time since the first time I figured the car would be okay. The first time it happened was around September 2022. And it just occurred again yesterday, on August 4,2023. Given how long I went without experiencing the problem again I did not report this specific issue to the manufacturer. However, I did experience a different problem in the past with my automatic breaking system that I did report to the manufacturer. My dashboard would randomly display a yellow picture of two cars crashing. Following the dashboard light coming on my car would randomly accelerate without me applying added pressure to the gas and it would gradually break on its own while my foot was still on the gas, but it wasn’t an abrupt break like I recently experienced. Between 2019 and 2020 I took my vehicle to Passport Nissan in Maryland three times for issues surrounding my breaking system. They said it was an issue with my front radar. They ordered a part and had it recalibrated. I continued to experience the same issue until I finally took it to Sheehy Nissan of Waldorf, where I actually purchased my car. After Sheehy looked into my car I had no further issues with my car accelerating or gradually breaking. However, the issue I’m experiencing now is dangerous and can lead to car accidents, especially for the cars that drive behind me. My car is available upon request with advance notice. Please note there were no warning lamps and or messages prior to this incident.

Forward collision warning light came on as I was driving w/ no cars in front of me. The car jerked as if i slammed on my brakes. As I was pulling into my driveway, Malfunction See owners manual showed along w/ AEB warning light. I waited a while then came back outside to start car and the brakes were stiff and it wouldn't start. Malfunction see owners manual showed again along w/ AEB warning light and Engine light blinking. Then it started to make a constant, solid beeping type noise and shut off. I literally just found about the recall as I never received any type of notice. It took Google to tell me this which brought me here.

When i bought the car, it started making a grunting sound every time I would accelerate the car and start driving. Now the car stalls while I'm on drive. It had turned off on me a few times while driving and quickly turn back on, and other times it would turn off when I would make a turn I took my car to my mechanic and they weren't sure what is wrong with it. They say it might be an electrical issue or the transmission, they also said that my axles are bad on my car. I only have a year with the car which I bought from enterprise car sales and it had 115k miles. Still too little for it to have that many problems.

THE DISPLAY SCREEN FOR HEAT/AIR CONDITIONING AND AIRFLOW CONTROLS WILL RANDOMLY SHUT OFF. THE TEMPERATURE AND AIRFLOW CONTROLS WILL STILL WORK EVEN WHEN THE SCREEN IS OFF. I WILL HAVE THE HEAT SET TO 70 BUT IT FEELS LIKE I PRESSED THE AIR CONDITIONING BUTTON ( IHAVE NOT AND CHECKED BY PRESSING THE AIR CONDITIONING BUTTON). WHILE OTHER TIMES, I WILL HAVE THE AIR TEMPERATURE SET TO 62 AND IT FEELS LIKE I'VE TURNED IT UP TO 85 DEGREES.

THE RADIO WILL RANDOMLY COME ON FOR A SECOND WHEN THE CAR IS OFF. I HAVE WENT OUT TO GET SOMETHING OUT OF THE TRUNK & THIS HAS HAPPENED & I HAVE ALSO WENT OUT TO LEAVE & WHEN I WALK OUTSIDE THE RADIO IN THE CAR IS PLAYING WHEN THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN SINCE THE PRIOR DAY. THE RADIO TURNS OFF AND ON BY ITSELF WITHOUT THE CAR BEING ON. I HAVE WALKED UP TO THE CAR TO HEAR IT PLAYING MUSIC. IT HAPPENS RANDOMLY DRIVING, NOT DRIVING, AND WITH NO POWER TO CAR. I AM WORRIED ABOUT MY BATTERY DRAINING. ALSO, THE AIR CONDITIONER DISPLAY IS BLANK FROM TIME TO TIME. ONLY THE ORANGE LIGHTS ON THE BUTTONS ARE LIT UP. SOMETIME IF I RESTART THE CAR, IT WILL COME BACK ON AS IF IT IS RESET, OTHER TIMES IT DOES NOT HELP. THE DISPLAY SCREEN ABOVE THE AC CONTROL PANEL FREEZES ALONG WITH THE DISPLAY IN BETWEEN THE SPEEDOMETER FROM TIME TO TIME. IT SEEMS AS IF THE COMPUTER SYSTEM DOES WHAT IT WANTS TO AND WHEN IT WANTS. I HAVE NOT HAD THE CAR FOR 6 MONTHS AND IT'S ALREADY GIVING ME PROBLEMS. IT WAS PURCHASED AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER 2019 FROM A NISSAN DEALERSHIP, BRAND NEW WITH 4 MILES ON IT.

Having issues with my brake switch. I’ll press on the brakes but it won’t appear as if i’m pressing it which makes it hard for me to start my car. I have to wiggle the brake and press it numerous times for the brake lights to engage.

On 05/03/24; my CVT failed in my 2019 Nissan Sentra. From 05/03-06/07 Manchester City Nissan had my vehicle. As there were issues fixing my CVT that was blamed on paperwork. Upon picking up my vehicle I noticed there was a brake issue. As the brakes don't push back when needing to use them. No lights on. Replaced tires, brakes and rotors. Still an issue. Shop believes it is my ABS that is faulty/failed. If I encounter the need to brake quickly; this can result in a serious collision.

I was driving my vehicle to pick my kids up when I heard a strange “pop” noise. I thought maybe a rock from the road had dinged my car. When I approached a red light the passenger side car door airbag cover swung off, exposing the airbags. There have been no hits to the car nor anyone sitting in the front seat of the car.

I keep having issues with AEB system. The emergency braking system that is supposed to sense cars in front of you and brake for you if you don’t brake yourself. I was doing about 70 mph no one else on road sunny day and my car starts beeping loudly and my brakes lock up for no reason. 3 times just today this happened. Oh and you can’t turn the system off so I just keep praying it doesn’t kill me one of these days on the interstate. Can’t believe this isn’t a recall probably won’t be until someone is seriously injured. My neck hurts from whiplash but can’t go to the hospital for that with the price of my insurance copay. Don’t buy a Nissan if you read this never buy a Nissan.

My vehicle is unsafe to drive as now its alerting me of Malfunction EBS. The alert is a constant beep and the EBS will start to activate when no vehicles are present to avoid a collision.

Driving 20 mph at night on a road that was recently torn up for road resurfacing. Manhole covers were raised but not contacting the underside of the car. I was attempting to drive so that I did not have to run over the manhole covers and the automatic braking system beeped twice, flashed an advisory on the dash, and engaged full anti-skid brakes to bring the car to a complete stop. Thankfully, there was not a vehicle behind me, or my pregnant wife & I would have definitely been rear ended. I suspect the radar system, mounted on the lower left of the front bumper, picked up the manhole covers and mistook them as another car. There is a way to turn off this system, but it resets each time you restart the car. I am looking to permanently disable this system, either by a fuse or by physically disconnecting the radar from the car.

MY CARS AEB SYSTEM ENGAGES FOR NO REASON. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IT HAS DONE THIS AND NOW THE MALFUNCTION LIGHT AND ALARM STAYS ON CONTINUOUSLY. MY WARNING LIGHT SAYING UNAVAILABLE FRONT RADAR HAS BEEN ON SINCE THIRD MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT IT.. I'M SCARED TO PUT MY CHILDREN IN CAR DUE TO THE FEAR OF IT BRAKING SUDDENLY FOR NO REASON AND BRINGING MY CAR TO A COMPLETE STOP.

I purchased a 2019 Nissan Sentra SR (VIN: [XXX] ) as a certified pre-owned vehicle from Star Nissan in Bayside, NY on [XXX]. Since the day of purchase, I have experienced repeated failures when trying to start the vehicle using the push-button ignition. Specifically, when pressing the brake pedal to start the car, nothing happens — the brake does not register, and the engine will not start. This issue directly matches the symptoms outlined in NHTSA Recall 21V135 (Nissan Campaign PM971), which addresses a known brake lamp switch defect in 2016–2019 Nissan Sentra models. I was not the original owner and was never notified of this recall. The selling dealership, who had custody of the car when the recall was issued, did not confirm or perform the required repair before reselling the vehicle to me. Nissan Consumer Affairs now claims there are “no open recalls” on my VIN, but the part in question — the brake switch — has never been replaced, and my Nissan service history confirms that it was not repaired. Instead, unrelated components like the brake booster were replaced multiple times, which did not resolve the issue. This defect has created multiple unsafe situations where I was stranded with my child in unsafe areas due to the car failing to start. The car’s brake system is critical to safe operation and starting function, and failure of this component puts both myself and my child at risk. I believe the recall was never performed and was falsely marked as completed or was never properly associated with my VIN. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate why this VIN is not being flagged for an active recall, despite clear matching symptoms and lack of documented repair. The battery light comes on every time I break...I have had the brake ignition replaced twice...the battery has been replaced but the issue continues..I have had to have the car jumped several times. The brake ignition was under recall and was replaced twice but it is still giving me issues. The radio works when it wants too.

TRAVELING IN TRAFFIC ABOUT 35 MPH ALL OF A SUDDEN TRAFFIC CAME TO STOP. I APPLIED MY BRAKES AND DID NOT GRAB RIGHT AWAY I TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL TO AVOID HITTING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. I HIT MY FRONT LEFT CORNER IN THE BACK RIGHT CORNER OF THE OTHER VEHICLE. MY AIR BAGS DID NOT DISCHARGED,MY FRONTAL BRAKE SENSOR GAVE NO WARNINGS . I JUST HAD MY VEHICLE INSPECTED LAST WEEK. I am writing to formally report a safety-related defect in my 2019 Nissan Sentra and to request reimbursement for repair costs associated with this issue. My vehicle experienced a failure of the brake light switch, which prevented the car from starting and disabled the brake lights—posing a serious safety hazard. Although I have been informed that my vehicle is not currently included in Recall Campaign PM971, the symptoms and defective part match the recall description precisely. I have verified my VIN through the NHTSA recall lookup tool, and I am concerned that the recall scope may be too narrow, excluding vehicles that are clearly affected. This defect required immediate repair to restore basic vehicle functionality and ensure safety. I have attached documentation of the repair, including the invoice and diagnostic notes, for your review. I respectfully request the following: Reimbursement for the cost of the brake light switch repair. A formal review of my vehicle’s eligibility for Recall PM971. Consideration for expanding the recall to include additional affected vehicles, including mine. To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report an ongoing and serious issue regarding the transmission in my Nissan vehicle and to request assistance from Nissan North America. This is my third Nissan Sentra Sport, and unfortunately, I have experienced the same transmission failure in all three vehicles, each occurring before the vehicle reached 100,000 miles. In the two previous vehicles, I replaced the transmission, only to have the same problem occur again. At this time, I am having the same transmission issue with my current vehicle, which I purchased in 2022. I recently took the car to an authorized Nissan dealer for routine maintenance. However, the mechanic informed me that they were unable to flush the transmission and advised against it, stating that they could not guarantee the transmission would continue to function afterward. The vehicle currently has approximately 88,000 miles, and the transmission is already failing. This is extremely concerning, especially because: The car is still under 100,000 miles, I have maintained the vehicle properly, I have not yet finished paying off the loan, and This has happened repeatedly with the same Nissan model. Below are the details of my current vehicle: Model: Nissan Sentra Sport Year Purchased: 2022 Mileage: Approximately 88,000 miles VIN: [XXX] As a loyal Nissan customer, I am requesting that Nissan Manufacturing provide explanation, resolution, and assistance regarding this repeated defect. I got this car from Rocky Mount dealership in 2020, I mentioned less than 30 days it drove funny, then less than 6 months the car had recall, which with everything going on in the pandemic it took a while to get the piece for the recall…again which i reported that the car drove funny less than 5 days of my purchase. Nothing… When the car was service for the recall, i mentioned it drove funny but no lights were on and nothing could be determined due to the recall fixed. Fast forward to now 4 years later the car shakes, jerks, slow to accelerate and the RPM is jumpy. As well as when you switch gears as I’m looking at 3-5k to get this fixed.

•My 2019 Nissan Sentra is seeming to have transmission issues that must be a result of a defect given the year that the vehicle was manufactured. When inspected by FIRESTONE they explained that the vehicle was having issues shifting into 3rd gear. This can be further inspected. • I have been experiencing sudden spurts of malfunction during regular drives for the previous 2 weeks where the vehicle suddenly felt as it was at a loss of acceleration power, the final straw was when driving up on a slight incline, my vehicle suddenly stopped accelerating and proceeded to roll backwards down the hill when I desperately pressed the brakes to stop the vehicle from rolling back on to another vehicle. • This issue has not been acknowledged by my dealer, however I received a Legal Notice from Nissan CVT Litigation Settlement Administrator (NAM) regarding lawsuit against Nissan for defective transmissions equipped to 2018-2019 Nissan Sentra. •Vehicle was inspected by FIRESTONE. •I received warning lamps or indications of issues.

Unbeknownst to me, the stop lamp switch recall also effects the vehicle starting. I learned that they were related after I reached out to Nissan regarding my vehicle not starting, it first happened on New Years Eve. This has now happened 2-3X a week. In addition to this issue, I’ve experienced issues with the CVT, and possibly the engine. One evening I was heading home after work, I got onto the on ramp, and attempted to accelerate to merge onto I-84. The vehicle would not accelerate beyond 45, the engine would rev extremely high, and not go any faster. I pulled onto the shoulder as best and quickly as I could. I turned the car off then back on, attempted to merge onto I-84, and had to get onto the shoulder again because I wasn’t able to go faster than 45MPH. Both times I was almost sideswiped by an 18 wheeler on the driver side, had that happened I’d have lost my life. I sat there very frustrated, and in shock. After a few minutes of having no traffic, I drove home at 45MPH. I’ve reached out to Nissan regarding the aforementioned issues, asking if they’d buy the vehicle back for what I owe on it. I received a letter from Nissan Consumer Affairs basically refusing to buy the car back. It’s exasperating owning a 2019 with 15,100 miles, and experiencing these issues. I’m by no means the type of person that feels a brand new vehicle is more reliable than an older one. I’m the type of person that likes knowing I can rely on my car. My mothers’ 2003 Outback with over 230K has been far more reliable than my Sentra. Knowing that there’s no remedy to repair the stop lamp recall is frustrating, that means that each time I go to start my car it may not start, on days that it hasn’t, I’ve spent 10 minutes trying trying to get it to start. These issues are exasperating, and Nissan basically saying I’m SOL, isn’t acceptable.

Just had transmission fluid changed, now car is jerking and has no response to acceleration pedal. With car in park and gas pedal pushed down the RPM's don't move. Losing power going up a small incline RPM's drop to 500 and speed drops from 55 to 30mph. No codes from scanning but check engine light is on. Nissan has no idea what is going on.

My RPMs do not catch up with my speed. While I'm driving rpms randomly fluctuate. The transmission doesn't engage quickly enough. Now my car can barely even stop quickly enough. it gets stuck in a high gear and when I try to accelerate it jerks. I can barely stop my car I have stop so far in advance and even than it will barely stop. THIS A HUGE SAFETY RISK for myself and others. This car still fairly new should not have these issues. I also did not any warning signs or check engine light nothing. I take care of my car. This car could potentially take the lives of others it needs to be recalled immediately.

When I try to get a quick acceleration it doesn't want to move it has trouble climbing hills like I had to put it to the floor to make him go anywhere and sometimes when I'm driving to RPMs goes up in the middle of driving without me hitting the gas I also noticed sometimes the buttons on the steering wheel don't always work I have to turn off the car and turn it back on kind of worried about the transmission I have a 2009 Nissan Altima transmission it's going bad on it before it's time so I'm hoping this car is not having the same thing

While driving at night, going to the movies, it was a windy night, some obstruction, something small, nicked the front plastic bumper. there was no warning from the AEB. After that happen, the alert AEB light popped up and it's still on. Nothing was broken on the veh. As a matter of fact, there is no damage or nothing to the veh. Just that nick. Bought the car brand new with about 20 miles on it. This happen about two months after. Took it to the dealer where I bought it and told me they don't cover it. It would cost me $1200 dollars out of my pocket to fix it. Also, there was no other vehicles involved for that matter. So, what is the use of buying the extended warranty if when the time comes to use it, it's not covered?

AS SHE WAS DRIVING ON THE 405 N AND HAD TO BRAKE ON THE FREEWAY DURING HIGH TRAFFIC TIME, THE WARNING MALFUNCTION LIGHT COMES ON AND 3 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER LIGHT COMES ON: AEB, FRONT COLLISION, AND WARNING LIGHT. TOOK IT TO NISSAN, THEY DIAGNOSE 2 CODES THAT COMES UP IN THE TSB, DTC C1A16 (RADAR BLOCKED) AND DTC C1A12 (LASER BEAM OFF-CENTER) STATING THAT IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE BUT I STILL HAD TO PAY DIAGNOSIS AND THE PART AND LABOR TO FIX IT.

My car just started to have transmission problems. It started to forced especially on hills and the transmission started to force itself and the at 115000 miles the transmission stopped working since it gave us the P 2767. It is just absolutely ridiculous that a new car would not last more than 4 to 5 years without having to replace a vital part of the vehicle. It’s just a shame to find out that issues like this happen to a lot of people with the same type of car as mine and that this issue the manufacturers can’t take responsibility and do the right thing and address this issue . We made an effort to get a new car thinking that it would give us a pease of mind for at least 10 years since it was not a pocket change price tag. We believed it was an investment or reassurance of not having issues since it was a brand new car.

On October 14, 2023, while driving with no vehicle in front of the 2019 Nissan Sentra, the Automatic Emergency Braking engaged, stopping the car forcefully. There were 3 warning beeps of a potential collision immediately prior to the braking, however, as stated, no vehicle was in front of this vehicle, and no other obstruction was in front of the vehicle. On October 16, 2023, while driving with no vehicle in front of the 2019 Nissan Sentra, there were 3 beeps warning of a potential collision. During this occasion, the braking did not engage and only the warning was given.

Automatic "Emergency" Braking System: I was driving my 2019 nissan sentra home a few weeks ago on a 2 lane street going about 35 mph, when suddenly and without warning, with no obstructions/cars in front of or in back of me luckily, my automatic emergency braking system engaged throwing me forward in my car seat even though i was wearing my seat belt and bringing the car practically immediately to a complete stop in the middle of the road and scaring the living daylights out of me! After this i could not drive the car home because i was to scared so i called for help to come get me. Ever since i have been deathly afraid to drive my car. I am lucky i was not in an accident! I have noticed this is a KNOWN and REPORTED issue across the internet with this nissan "safety" system on many of their cars as well as some lawsuits against them for similar incidents. I cannot understand why such a serious and potentially dangerous issue has been left unchecked and unresolved by nissan or anyone for that matter! This issue is a serious danger for both the driver and passengers of cars with this problem as well as other drivers on the road! I am lucky no one was behind me and my kids weren't in the car! Calling the nissan dealership i found that they want around 150 dollars just to diagnose problem! And if its any of the sensors malfunctioning/needing replacing that its around 750 dollars for one sensor! Not including whatever else the defective issue could be. I am not the original owner of this car, i bought it used, i was told by dealership and informed on car-fax that it was never in an accident. So far the problem has not been able to be reproduced, it is an defect/malfunction/issue, that happens unexpectedly when it wants to. Warning lamps activated: Front crash warning light which will not go off and i can find no way to reset. I asked dealer to reset it but instead they insisted i pay 150 dollars for a diagnostic i could not afford.

When driving at speeds above 70 mph, the RPM’s start to surge. Going from 2.5 RPMs to 5 RPMs without any acceleration in speed from the driver. I have video of it when the cruise control was being used and the rpms surged and fell back. The fuel efficiency screen also shows a decrease in efficiency when the rpms go up. Have also had a loss of power when trying to pass and tried to increased speed - yet the engine surged/faltered. It happens every time I exceed 70 mph. I picked the date when I have video of this occurring. However, it happens whenever I exceed 70mph.

I have been telling Nissan in my town and they say that know about this AEB malfunction. My husband and I couldve died! We were on the interstate late at night going about 80 mpl when the AEB system activated by itself and slammed on the breaks. We started the spin out and the traction control came on and ABS shut off effectively locking up my tires and throwing me into a full spin which resulted in my crashing into the gaurd rail. I've never been more scared in my life. Add this to the list with the transmission issues.

On 10/28/2024 I was driving on a highway at 60 mph with light traffic. All of a sudden the radio display panel went blank and all the warning lights on dashboard lit up. The car started to slow down and did not gain speed even when gas pedal is pressed. Car speed went down to 40 mph. I put on hazard lights and looking for safe spot to park the car. I drove for 2 to 3 minutes and then dashboard warnings lights went out, radio came back and the car gained speed again. It drove normal again. This car has other issues as well such USB ports do not function.

This happened to me a total of 3 times. Low fuel light does not come on. First time I had 32 miles until empty no low fuel light came on, car stopped battery light came on. Tried to jump the car and it did not start. Put in some premium gas and it started. Second time same thing happened car slowly stopped and battery light came on. Tried to jump the car did not start, put gas in but this time it didn't start, had to get the car towed. Battery was tested and fine. Mechanic said he believes it is the gas gage being incorrect. Third time this happened today, February 3,2024 50 miles until empty pulled out into the middle of the road and my car stopped. I was in the middle of the road with cars beeping at me. I could not move my car. Battery light came on. Police came and put some gas in the car and it started. This is a dangerous thing happening and thankfully I am okay and it could have been alot worse. Please have this issue looked into and fixed. I will be bringing my car into the dealer Monday for this issue to be resolved hopefully.

Nine statements: 1. The radio in the car is failing. It comes on and immediately turns off. 2. The radio showed the rear image and sensors upon reverse. Now neither of those works. It could cause a rear impact upon parking or a person quickly crossing behind the car. 3. The problem has been reported to the dealer, documented, and confirmed by the Nissan Dealer on [XXX] at Nissan Servicing Dept - 1919 Central Park Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10710. The attendant who I worked with was Daniel Ramroop and confirmed situation @ 1pm EST. 4. No, the vehicle was not in an accident so there is no police, insurance, or other representative report. 5. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure 6. About a year and brought it in for checking last week when I received the recall notice to bring the car in for curing the recall. The service department said that if electrical issues related to the stop lamp switch recall caused the failure, that they could look at both the same time. 7. In their review, they stated that it was not caused by the stop lamp and do not have an explanation for why the radio failed. 8. I have attached the work order and the review of the rear camera, radio, and rear sensors 9. There were 26 NHTSA complaints as of March 2023 exist for the Nissan’s electrical issues concerning the radio but no recall or known repair is associated with the radio. This warning light has been present since I test drove this car in March 2023. The dealership stated if I purchased the vehicle they would fix the issue before I took delivery after purchasing the vehicle in March 2023 the warring light came on several times within hours of picking up the vehicle. I took the vehicle back to the dealer at least twice within a week or so to have them fix the issue, finally the service department at McGee took the car to Mastria Nissan. Mastria is a certified Nissan dealer. Mastria fixed the issue by re-calibrating the sensor in the front bumper that governs the Automatic Braking System (AEB). This sensor also controls the cruise control system as well. Mastria Nissan fixed the sensor on or around May 12, 2023. It is now September 2023 and this same sensor, same warning light and same error code is coming on continuously every time I drive the vehicle. That is less than 4 months of driving. I have checked around the sensor. There are no obstructions around the sensor. There is no dirt or corrosion around the sensor and it is extremely affixed to its mounting bracket. There is no logical reason for this sensor to be failing within less than 4 months of driving. This is a poor and shoddy design malfunction on Nissan’s part. This defective equipment installed on my 2019 Nissan Sentra is a serious safety concern. If this sensor stops working or malfunctions while driving, this could cause a loss of control while on the road. As this sensor governs the AED system this could cause a loss of control while on the road or worse. I could end up driving off the road uncontrolled. It could also result in a collision with another vehicle on the road. This safety issue needs to be fixed by Nissan.

i have reported this before with no resolution. the vehicle that financed (2019 Nissan Sentra SV) ALWAYS slows down during acceleration causing the car to jerk myself and passenger(s) forward and the car to make grinding sounds and would only allow continued driving after the car decelerated when there was NO vehicle in the front vicinity of the car. The transmission is at present in need of replacement and the Nissan manufacturer is saying I am responsible for fixing it with a cost of $2600.00 with less than 100k This should not be an expense that I have to pay when I reported this issue months ago and several owner/operators of this car are having the same as me problem!

I've purchased a 2019 Nissan Sentra SV on 06/06/2023 from Empire Hyundai in Fall River Ma. I received the vehicle on 06/09/2023. Shortly after leaving the dealership, malfunction lights appeared with a continuous beeping sound. It would disappear when the car was turned off, and reappear after restarting the vehicle and driving for a few minutes. I had a bumper to bumper inspection conducted at Firestone in Fall River, on 06/10/2023. Tony, (Empire Hyundai salesman) had informed myself via text message on 06/13/2023, My vehicle registration and plates were completed and ready to be retrieved. He was adamant, that I get an inspection sticker right away with the voucher provider by Empire Hyundai. I retrieved the plates and registration that afternoon. I also texted Tony the bumper to bumper results and the malfunction signal(s). The earliest appointment was set for 06/20/2023 at this establishment. While I was traveling to my work site an hour out from my residence on 06/19/2023. Approximately five minutes away from the site, the vehicle abruptly slowed down. And would only move backwards, no matter the gear it was in. The vehicle was towed to Empire Hyundai at my expense. I tried to speak with the Management on 06/21/2023 for a refund. That wasn't successful. Empire Hyundai towed the vehicle to Stateline Nissan in RI on 06/22/2023, at approximately 10:00 am. Stateline Nissan disclosed to myself, they replaced the original transmission to this Nissan, just two months prior per Empire Hyundai's request. As I reviewed the documents I requested from Stateline Nissan. Empire Hyundai's invoice confirmed the vehicle malfunction lights are displayed and the transmission was replaced. Stateline Nissan informed myself on 06/22/2023. One hour before they closed, the vehicle was all done. I was able to retrieve the vehicle the next morning. Just moments after leaving Stateline Nissan, the malfunction signal reappeared along with the continuous beeping sound.

I have a 2019 Nissan Sentra with only 17,000 miles. The seatbelt indicator light stays on even while wearing the seatbelt. There is no warning chime just the light. However, if there is a passenger the seatbelt indicator light will go off. My concern is for the passenger's safety. I'm concerned if everything will work like it should especially if there happens to be an accident and the airbags deploy.

The transmission started slipping a few weeks ago and then last night it seemed like the car completely stopped working. The car didn’t shut off then but the rpm went all the way up to 6 and then there was a pop. My car then jumped and stopped moving. That was when it stopped in the middle of the road with oncoming traffic. It has done with multiple times in the past couple weeks. It has not been confirmed by a dealer. The check engine came on last night and I’m taking it to a Nissan dealer tomorrow. There has not been any other signs except the car had been juddering for the past couple weeks

To be brief, I had a nissan sentra 2019 leased car from 10/19 to present. About 1 year during its lease (3 year), I noticed that the instrument clock freezes and the other clock on the radio panel/screen does not. I have contacted NIssan company and the dealership that I leased the auto from. NO help at all. I have 6 different videos of this situation on my cell phone. The main reason I am contacting this federal agency is that the last time it happened (01/23), I the control instruments on the steering wheel did not function at all. I will admit I never tried to use the various controls when the clock froze in the past 2 years until by chance I did this past month. This may also involve even the car horn (all in the same area). Thus, all I have been asking is to have AV control ( or whatever else) replaced. HOWEVER, it is a safety problem if it also affects, controls on steering wheel area (cruise control, instrument panel , radio , horn etc.) Once car is turned off the system reboots and even thing works, it does not matter about the temperature, speed, time duration of travel, day or night. I know there have been problems with this model as stated on google. As one can see when the instrument displays are not working there can and will be problems including safety. NOTE: I have contacted NIssan customer service dept. After many calls, Nissan did send me an extended warranty for the electical. problem is the company does not honor the warranty. So what good is any warranty if it is never honored!

At 65mph, I hit a tiny bump. The automatic braking system and collision detection warnings triggered and I lost all acceleration ability. I was nearly hit by a semi while coasting off the freeway in traffic. When inspected by Nissan the first time it happened (9/20/2021), the lights turned off and the computer reset. They did a warranty recall for something unrelated and told me they fixed it. On 5/13/2022 it did it again, and on 5/30 I was told it would not be covered under any warranty - all diagnosis and repair would be my own cost. A sensor should never take control of the car away from the driver. The only way to regain acceleration is to turn the car off. Wait. Turn it on. Wait. Use the menu, turn off Automatic Emergency Braking, drive.

At the beginning of June in 2021 my car started showing signs of failing to start. This led to some problems with it driving and the automatic braking system causing problems. The dealer ship fix the piece that connects under the brakes. It was some kind of sensor. This on June 12 of 2021. March 28 2022 I had the problem my car was not starting. I took it in to the dealership they replaced my battery March 29th my check engine light came on I got to codes PO 101 and PO 315. I paid to get the sensors repaid and was told that my crankshaft should be all right if I clean it or I can replace it. I took the car in again April 20 because it was failing to start. The individual who help me in services had the same problem. They brought out their mechanic and the mechanic said no codes were shown. She explained to me that it might be an issue with the Battery that they replaced. I have taken the car to the same dealership to get everything fixed I have also worked with the same person in regards to my problems

The contact stated that while driving 25 MPH, the automatic braking system applied inadvertently and the vehicle stopped abruptly. The contact stated that the ABS malfunction indicator light (MIL) had been illuminated. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that he was contacted by the dealer and informed that the final remedy was available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. Going at a speed of 65 mph+ the transmission or what ever it seems to be cutting in and out, I have to either lay off the gas or pullover and let it sit for a bit for it to stop acting up and it'll stop for a while and it acts back up again, I haven't had the car for a year yet, there were a few time I almost got hit and swerved off the road because of it I usually have the kids with me and the last thing I need is to have something happen to them or me I asked what can be done about and pretty much was told that it was my problem I see many complaints pertaining to this issue, is it gonna take a death for something to be done, im quite disappointed about this and on top of this there is 2 recall for this type of vehicle what can be done about this?!

2019 NISSAN SENTRA Automatic Emergency Braking system suddenly brakes w/o warning while cars are present or not, sensor light comes on and car will stall or abruptly/automatically stop itself. Malfunction light comes on states malfunction look in owners manual. While driving car automatically stopped at a light or in traffic and would not move forward the malfunction light came on. This has been occurring 2 days after purchase (11-6- 2021- 12-7-2021) until recent. 12-7-21 the car stopped itself at a red light (I was the first vehicle in line no one in front of me or to my sides) on green as I tried to press on the gas the car stalled, the back windows rolled up and down, the radio went on and off, and the malfunction light for AEB flashed then the car locked, then solid engine light came on, @ first I could not get my hazard lights on then suddenly they worked. People drove past me honked, called me names, and finally one person helped me move it out of the road. While on the side of the road the car again was on but when I pressed on gas would not accelerate, however while the brake and emergency brake were on and the car was in park it rolled backwards. My son return it to the purchasing dealership twice with the complaint of the malfunction light on told they did not know what was going on and that it was unusual bring it back for maintenance. problem persisted. The car has been brought back twice to the dealership with this and other braking/electrical concerns w/in a shorttime before the final major incident happened (I am thankful that no-one was hurt). Right now 12-8-2021, I had been back to the dealership after reporting the incident with the idea that I would be helped and put into a newer safer vehicle, not the case upon arrival they tried to up sell me a new car @ higher price, when I said no, my option was to fix what is covered under warranty. States they will run own diagnostic test.

HELLO I PURCHASED A NEW VEHICLE ON THE 4/28/2019 ZERO MILES. WHEN FIRST BUYING THE VEHICLE THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS. HOWEVER AFTER 4 TO 5 MONTHS PASS BY I NOTICED MY HEADLIGHTS ARE FADING AWAY AS WELL AS THE PAINT OF THE VEHICLE AND WINDSHIELDS. WHEN TAKING THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TTHEY SAID THEY CANNOT HELP ME. THEY ARE CLAIMING THE DAMAGE IS NATURAL CAUSE AND WANT TO CHARGE ME MONEY TO RESTORE THE HEADLIGHTS, PAINT, AND WINDSHIELD ON A BRAND NEW CAR. I INFORMED THE DEALERSHIP I CAME TO BUY A NEW CAR WITH ZERO PROBLEMS INCLUDING THE HEADLIGHTS AND PAINT AND WINDOWS AND STILL THEY DENIED ME HELP. HELLO MY NAME IS [XXX] . I HAVE A STORY I WOULD LIKE RAN. ON JAN. 23, 2020 I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW NISSAN SENTRA. THE CAR COST OVER 18,000 DOLLARS. IT HAD 24 MILES ON IT WHEN I PULLED OFF THE LOT. ON THE MORNING OF FEB. 15, 2020 AT LESS THAN A MONTH OF OWNERSHIP MY TEEN DAUGHTER'S AND I WAS HEADING INTO TOWN FOR BREAKFAST. WE WERE RUNNING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 55 MPH WHEN THE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AT RANDOM. NO WRECK OR ACCIDENT OF ANY KIND. MY LEFT EAR DRUM WAS BUSTED AND MY DAUGHTER WAS MASSIVELY BRUISED. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY ISSUED A RENTAL. 5 DAYS LATER THEY CALLED AND TOLD ME THE RENTAL HAD TO BE RETURNED AND NISSAN WAS NOT GOING TO GIVE ANY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OF ANY KIND. I CALLED CONSUMER AFFAIRS TO SEE WHY THE RENTAL WAS BEING TAKEN BACK. I WAS INFORMED RUDELY THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE HELPING IN ANY WAY AND AIRBAGS WERE A COMPLEX MACHINE THAT DID NOT DEPLOY WITHOUT CAUSE. AND THEN WENT ON TO ACCUSE ME OF FRAUD. THE CAR FINALLY GOT INSPECTED AT NISSAN OF COOKEVILLE BY A CONSUMER INSPECTOR WHO STOOD WITH ME AND CONFIRMED THAT THE CAR WAS NOT WRECKED AND THE MALFUNCTION WAS NOT MY FAULT. I JUST TODAY HEARD BACK FROM CONSUMER AFFAIRS TODAY FOR THEM TO TELL ME THAT NISSAN WOULD NOT BE HELPING ME IN ANY WAY. AND VELOCITY HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE RANDOM DEPLOY AND THAT'S WHAT AIRBAGS ARE SUPPOSED TO DO. SO HE LITERALLY TOLD ME THAT AIRBAGS ARE SUPPOSED TO DEPLOY SOMETIMES WITHOUT ANY COLLISION. THEY HAVE FORCED ME TO DRIVE THIS CAR FOR A MONTH AND A HALF WITH MY VIEW OBSTRUCTED AND SEATBELTS NOT WORKING WITH MY CHILDREN AND NOW TELLS ME THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR VEHICLES MALFUNCTION AND IT IS ON ME TO DEAL WITH. THEY WILL ALSO TELL YOU THEY HAVE NEVER HAD TROUBLE WITH AIRBAGS BUT THERE HAS BEEN A HUGE RECALL ABOUT UNSAFE DEPLOYING AIRBAGS FOR A LOT OF NISSAN VEHICLES. THE KEYLESS ENTRY FOB IS SLIGHTLY SENSITIVE. I FINANCED THE CAR ON 3/10/2020. AFTER TAKING A NAP UPON LEAVING THE VACCINATION CLINIC FOR TETNA ADULT SHOT, I SLEPT FROM AROUND 6PM-142AM IN A WOODED AREA PARKING SPOT AT A LOCAL PARK AND WHEN I WOKE UP, MY CAR DOORS WERE UNLOCKED AND MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WAS OPEN A LITTLE AND I HAD IT RAISED AND WAS SURE TO LICK THE DOOR PRIOR TO GOING TO SLEEP. THEN ON 3/11/2029, I WENT TO THE CONVENIENCE STORE FOR A PIT STOP WHEN I ARRIVED BACK TO THE CAR, THE TRUNK WAS OPEN AND WHEN I GOT OUT IF THE CAR I WAS SURE TO LOOK AT IT WHILE HITTING THE LOCK AND PLACED THE KEY IN MY POCKET.

THE FRONT BUMPER SENSOR IS DETECTING THINGS IN THE ROAD THAT AREN'T THERE AND AUTOMATICALLY APPLYING THE BRAKES ON MY CAR. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THERE'S A LOUD ALMOST GRINDING SOUND AND THE CAR BRAKES VERY HARD. THE OTHER ISSUE I'M HAVING IS THE CAR WILL SOMETIMES DETECT SOMEONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WHEN IT'S EMPTY AND TURN ON THE BUCKLE SEAT BELT LIGHT AND TURN OFF THE AIR BAG OFF LIGHT FOR THE PASSENGER SEAT.

DRIVING ON FREEWAY LESS THAN 35 MPH, CAR MADE LOUD NOISE FOR 1-2 MINUTES AT SAME TIME I FELT UNDER FLOOR BOARD SOMETHING PULLING. I TRIED TO SLOW DOWN, BRAKES DIDN'T WORK. I REAR ENDED A CAR. THE CAR GEAR SHIFT POPPED INTO REVERSE; I PRESSED HARDER ON BRAKES & THEY FINALLY WORKED. I NOTICED A BIG LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD SAYING 'MALFUNCTION, CHECK OWNERS MANUAL' THERE WAS A GRAY SYMBOL NEAR THESE WORDS. INSIDE THE SPEEDOMETER CIRCLE THAT SAME SYMBOL APPEARED IN BRIGHT YELLOW. AT SOME POINT WITHIN AN HOUR 2 MORE YELLOW SYMBOLS APPEARED ON THE FAR LEFT OF THE DASH, A YELLOW TRIANGLE WITH AN EXPLANATION POINT, AND A CAR WITH 2 CURVED LINES BEHIND THE BACK TIRES. WHEN THE CAR WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED IT FROM, THE STAFF IMMEDIATELY ATTEMPTED TO BLAME ME FOR THE INCIDENT'ASKING WHY DIDN'T I BRING THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE? AND THAT I HAVE TO GET A RENTAL CAR AND MY CAR REPAIR THROUGH MY INSURANCE COMPANY. HE PUSHED THE IDEA OF GETTING THE CAR REPAIRED. I STATED I JUST BARELY GOT THE CAR 3-4 WEEKS AGO BRAND NEW. I LEFT THE CAR TO BE CHECKED BY SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THE NEXT DAY THE SERVICE MANAGER DENIED ANY MALFUNCTION SAYING THERE WASN'T ANY CURRENT CODES JUST PAST CODES; I ASKED WHAT THAT MEANT HE SAID A BRAKE SENSOR AND SOME OTHER DATA I DIDN'T COMPREHEND. HE SAID GET MY INSURANCE TO FIX THE CAR. I SAID NO SIR, I WANT MORE INFORMATION ON WHY THE CAR MALFUNCTION FIRST. ONCE I EXPLAIN TO HIM AGAIN WHAT HAPPENED HE SAID HE WOULD HAVE HIS FORMAN CHECK OUT THIS CAR THE NEXT MORNING; HOWEVER LESS THAN AN HOUR THE SERVICE MANAGER ME BACK TO SAY HE TALKED TO A FIELD TECH ENGINEER AND WAS ADVISED THAT I HAD A RIGHT TO CALL NISSAN CORP TO MAKE A REPORT. I WENT BY SRVC DPT TO GET SOMETHING, THEY TRIED TO GET TO TAKE/REPAIR MY CAR. I DIDN'T. ONCE I SPOKE TO NISSAN CORP THEY SAID IT TAKE 6-8 WEEKS FOR INVESTIGATION ETC TO BE COMPLETED AND FOR ME NOT TO GET CAR REPAIRED.

TIME FREEZES ON DASH SCREEN ALONG WITH WHAT WAS PLAYING ON MY BLUETOOTH IN DASH CLUSTER SCREEN. RADIO BUTTONS AND PHONE BUTTONS STOP WORKING ON STEERING WHEEL WHEN DASH CLUSTER SCREEN FREEZES. THE FIRST TIME I BROUGHT MY CAR IN ON 2/18/19 WITH THIS PROBLEM THEY TOLD ME IT WAS MY CHARGER THEN THEY ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH IPHONES WITH 2019 NISSAN VEHICLES. STOPPED USING CHARGER. SECOND TIME BRINGING MY VEHICLE IN FOR SAME CONTINUOUS PROBLEM ON 3/27/19 THEY DID AN ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CHECK BUT COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. STILL NOT USING CHARGER. THIRD TIME BRINGING MY VEHICLE IN 5/29/19 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CHECK WAS DONE AND THEY TOLD ME THAT MY BATTERY WAS LOW CRANK AS WELL. TOLD ME IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD NOW AND THEY HAVE TO REPLACE THE DASH CLUSTER AND BATTERY. THE DEALERSHIP (HARBOR NISSAN) WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR HAD MY CAR FOR A MONTH (THEY GOT ME INTO A RENTAL CAR THE WHOLE TIME)SO I GOT IT BACK ON 6/28/19 AFTER PARTS WERE REPLACED. NOT EVEN A MONTH OF HAVING MY CAR BACK IT DOES IT AGAIN ON 7/23/19 MY SERVICE ADVISOR WAS TOLD THE CAR MIGHT NEED A HARNESS AND I CALLED 7/27/19 MY SERVICE ADVISOR WAS NOT IN AND THEY TOLD ME I COULD PICK MY CAR UP THEY COULDN'T GET IT TO DO IT FOR THEM. FAULTY RADAR ON FRONT OF MY CAR CAUSED SPEED CONTROL AND EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM TO MALFUNCTION WHILE IN MOTION. THIS OCCURRED SPORADICALLY SINCE NEW AND THEN CONSTANTLY FOR LAST 3 MONTHS. I FINALLY TOOK THE CAR IN FOR TROUBLESHOOTING LAST WEEK AND THE RADAR UNIT ON THE FRONT OF THE CAR WAS REPLACED. THIS FIXED THE PROBLEM BUT IT SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO SOMEONES ATTENTION BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY HAZARDS INVOLVED.

I PURCHASE 2019 NISSAN SENTRA ON 11/6/2019 WITH 15 MILES AT NISSAN OF MUSKOGEE. SINCE PURCHASE THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING (AEB) SYSTEM DEACTIVATES AND SHOWS A WARNING ON THE DASHBOARD 'FRONT RADAR UNAVAILABLE DUE TO OBSTRUCTION.' A CRASH ICON ALSO ON DASHBOARD AT ALL TIMES. NO CRUISE CONTROL. THE CAR IS OUT OF BALANCE. THE SENSOR COMES ON AT ALL TIME WETHER OR NOT THERE ARE OTHER VEHICLE NEAR THE CAR. THE DEALERSHIP AND SERVICE DEPARTMENT ALLEGES THAT I AM THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM AND THE PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. I BROUGHT IT IN TO SERVICE. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE BARELY LOOK AT THE CAR NOR CHECK CODES. THE BALANCE IS WORSE. THIS IS CAUSE BY A FAULTY DEFECTIVE RADAR SENSOR IN THE FRONT GRILL. SERVICE IS NOW WAITING FOR PARTS THAT NISSAN CAN'T GET ANYWHERE.
