MY FRONT DIFFERENTIAL HALF SHAFT HAS BROKEN INSIDE MY DIFFERENTIAL CASE AND RUINED THE DIFF I UNDERSTAND THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH NISSAN TITAN TRUCKS. I LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT THE TRUCK BUT I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSSUE AND NO RECALL HAS BEEN DONE.

7/15/19 3:40 PM RUSH HOUR, BEGAN ENTERING A STATE RD TO CROSS BOTH LANES, TRAFFIC TRAVELING BOTH DIRECTIONS POSTED 55 MPH MOVED IN A STRAIGHT LINE HALFWAY INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC, BUT SUDDENLY COULD NOT ACCELERATE. HAD TO QUICKLY REVERSE TO AVOID TBONE SITUATION FROM BOTH SIDES. SCARED ME HORRIBLY. BACKED UP MORE TRIED AGAIN TO GO FORWARD BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO CROSS BUT THE SAME THING HAPPENED. ENGINE WAS REVVING AT HIGH RPMS BUT TRUCK WOULD ONLY MOVE INCHES AT A TIME IN FORWARD MOTION. SO I TRAVELED BACKWARDS IN REVERSE THE LENGTH OF THE WHOLE STREET I WAS ON TO GET BACK TO MY DRIVEWAY AND BACKED UP MY DRIVEWAY WHERE I PARKED AND CALLED FOR A RIDE FROM MY HVAC TECH WHO WAS MEETING ME AT MY CHURCH TO INSTALL MUCH NEEDED AC UNIT. ONLY A COUPLE DAYS EARLIER, I HAD FLUID LEAKING AND TOOK THE TRUCK IN FOR REPAIR, THE TECH INFORMED ME THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND ANTIFREEZE TANK HAD FAILED. THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE FLUSHED, THE TANK, RADIATOR AND FLUID REPLACED. HE TOLD ME IT HAPPENED ALL THE TIME WITH NISSANS. I WILL ATTACH INVOICE FROM HIGHLY REPUTABLE REPAIR SHOP.

FRONT DIFFERENTIAL HAS AXLE POPPED OUT, AFTER RESEARCHING I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS IS SUCH A COMMON PROBLEM THAT NISSAN HAS REDESIGNED THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL TO CORRECT THE ISSUE. I HAVE TWO OPTIONS, FIRST TO TAKE TO A SHOP AND HAVE THEM REPLACE THE C CLIP ONLY TO FAIL AGAIN DOWN THE ROAD OR SECOND TO REPLACE THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL WITH THE FLAWED DESIGN FOR OVER $2500. WOULD LIKE TO SEE NISSAN ISSUE A RECALL TO CORRECT THE FLAWED DESIGN. THIS TRUCK IS USED ON ROAD ONLY AND I ONLY ENGAGE THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE WHEN IT SNOWS AND ONLY USE AT LOW SPEEDS FOR A SHORT DISTANCE, THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN.

WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL OF MY TRUCK GAVE OUT AND STARTED SMOKING. I LOST ALL POWER TO CONTROL THE MOMENTUM OF THE TRUCK, ALMOST CAUSING IT TO FLIP BECAUSE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF CHANGING LANES WHILE DRIVING 73 MPH. I MANAGED TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND UPON INSPECTION OF THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR AXLE I FOUND ALL FLUID HAD LEAKED OUT ONTO THE REAR WHEEL AND IT WAS SMOKING. I TRIED PUTTING THE TRUCK IN GEAR TO SEE IF I COULD MOVE BUT THERE WAS NO POWER BEING PROVIDED TO THE DRIVE TRAIN. THE ONLY POSSIBLE EXPLANATION IS THAT THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL GAVE OUT. THE TRUCK ONLY HAS 91006 MILES ON IT AND IF THIS HAD OCCURRED ON ONE OF THE CURVES I AND MY FAMILY WOULD ALL BE IN THE HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW. THE TRUCK IS CURRENTLY PARKED AT A REPAIR SHOP AWAITING REPAIRS.

2005 NISSAN TITAN. CONSUMER HAD RECALL WORK FOR BRAKE JUDDER. THE REPAIRS WERE DONE EVEN THOUGH THE CONSUMER WAS NOT EXPERIENCING ANY PROBLEMS. SOMETIME AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO MAKE NOISES . *KB THE CONSUMER STATED HE BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE OCCASIONAL SHUTTERING IN THE FRONT WHEELS WHEN HE APPLIED THE BRAKE. THE CONSUMER STATED THE DEALER REFUSED TO HONOR THE WARRANTY. THE CONSUMER STATED HE HAS CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE BRAKE PROBLEMS TO THE POINT WHERE THE BRAKES WOULD NOT WORK. THERE WERE SEVERAL INCIDENTS, WHERE THE CONSUMER RAN SEVERAL STOP SIGNS AND INTO THE INTERSECTION. *JB UPDATED 03/1011 THE LEFT FRONT BRAKE ENGAGED WITH GREATER INTENSITY THAN THE OTHER BRAKES, WHICH CAUSED THE LEFT FRONT BRAKE TO GRAB DURING HARD BRAKING. I BELIEVE THAT THE NISSAN TITANS HAVE A SAFETY ISSUE WITH THEIR BRAKES. I PURCHASED THE TRUCK NEW IN 2005 WITH 14 MILES SHOWING ON THE ODOMETER. AFTER THE FIRST YEAR OF OWNERSHIP I NOTICED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL PULSATED A LOT WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES. I NEVER LEAVE MY FOOT ON OR RIDE THE BRAKE PEDAL NOR DO I USE THE BRAKES EXCESSIVELY, MOST OF THE MILES ON THE VEHICLE ARE HIGHWAY MILES BECAUSE THE TRUCK IS USED MOSTLY FOR VACATION PURPOSES. I DO HOWEVER TOW A SMALL 6 BY 12 FOOT BOX TRAILER WITH 4 BICYCLES IN IT, WHICH MAKES FOR A LIGHT LOAD. IT HAS CONTINUED TO PROGRESS AND BECOME MORE PRONOUNCED AS THE VEHICLE AGES. AT AROUND 13,000 MILES THE BRAKES SOMETIMES GRAB OR WOULD NOT STOP WITH OUT APPLYING EXCESSIVE FORCE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL MUCH MORE THAN WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS NEW, THIS WOULD BRING THE TRUCK TO A SHAKING, ROUGH OR SOMETIMES TIRE SQUEALING STOP. AT 13,300 I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A DEALERSHIP TO SEE IF THEY COULD CORRECT THIS PROBLEM, THEY SAID THEY COULD TRY MACHINING THE ROTORS FOR AROUND $440 OR REPLACE THE ROTORS WHICH WOULD COST QUITE A BIT MORE, HOWEVER THE REPAIR WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. THE TRUCK STILL HAS THE SAME PROBLEM WITH 14,991 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. I FEEL IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE ROTORS IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND IT SHOULD BE COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. 1. THE INCIDENT OCCURRED AUG 11, 2010 WHILE I WAS DRIVING MY 2005 NISSAN TITAN TRUCK IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AT 65 MPH. 2.THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHEN I HAD TO APPLY FOOT PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL DUE TO HEAVY TRAFFIC CONGESTION. AS SOON AS BRAKE PRESSURE WAS APPLIED TO THE BRAKE PEDAL FIVE THINGS HAPPENED: A. THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT SOFTER THAN NORMAL. B. THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT FURTHER DOWN TOWARD THE FLOORBOARD THAN NORMAL. C. I HEARD A POPPING/PULSATING SOUND AS I HAD TO APPLY THE BRAKES. D. I HEARD A GRINDING SOUND AS I HAD TO APPLY THE BRAKES. E. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL RED BRAKE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. I HAD NO CHOICE, BUT TO APPLY PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL TO AVOID CREATING AN ACCIDENT EVEN THOUGH IT SOUNDED AND FELT LIKE BRAKE FAILURE WAS OCCURRING. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS TYPE OF BRAKE INCIDENT/FAILURE HAS OCCURRED ON MY 2005 NISSAN TITAN. THE PREVIOUS TWO TIMES THIS BRAKE INCIDENT/FAILURE OCCURRED AT A MUCH LOWER SPEEDS AND I COULD NOT FIND RELATION TO WHAT WAS OCCURRING WHEN I INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. 3. ONCE I HAD THE VEHICLE BACK UNDER CONTROL I TURNED INTO A LOW TRAFFIC SIDE STREET AND SLOWLY TESTED THE BRAKES, BUT ALL FIVE SYMPTOMS FROM ABOVE WERE STILL OCCURRING. I ALSO TRIED GOING IN REVERSE VERY SLOWLY, BUT THE SYMPTOMS REMAINED. I COMPLETELY STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND TURNED OFF THE IGNITION KEY AND GOT OUT TO INSPECT THE TRUCK. I COULD NOT SEE ANY VISIBLE DAMAGE TO FRONT ROTORS OR CALIPERS AND I CHECKED THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL, BUT NOTHING APPEARED TO BE WRONG. I TURNED THE IGNITION BACK ON AND THE RED BRAKE LIGHT HAD GONE OFF AND THE BRAKES WERE BACK TO NORMAL. I DO NOT FEEL THAT FAILURE HAS BEEN CORRECTED AND THAT IS WHY I AM WRITING THIS COMPLAINT BECAUSE I FEEL THERE IS SAFETY ISSUE AT HAND. I THINK THE BRAKE SYSTEM IN MY 2005 TITAN IS INADEQUATE. THE FRONT DISC ROTORS WERE BENT @ 20000 MILES AND REPLACED BY NISSAN FOR THIS DEFECT BUT AT 60000 MILES, THE FRONT DISC ROTORS WERE BENT AGAIN. MAKING STOPPING THIS TRUCK HAZARDOUS AS THE STEERING WHEEL IS SHAKING VIOLENTLY AND IT TOOK MUCH FARTHER TO STOP. I CHECK THE DISC ROTORS AND THE BRAKE PADS AND THEY ARE NORMAL. ALTHOUGH I HAVEN'T HAD AN "INCIDENT" YET, I WORRY ABOUT IT EVERYDAY. MY 2005 NISSAN TITAN HAS THE WORST BRAKES THAT I'VE EVER HAD IN A VEHICLE. THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR ON EVERY STOP. SOMETIMES WHILE THE BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED IT "SKIPS" AND IT FEELS LIKE THE BRAKES RELEASE THEN GRAB AGAIN. THIS TRUCK WAS MEANT TO TOW UP TO 9,000LBS, BUT WHEN I TOWED ABOUT 4,000 AND TRIED TO STOP, I ALMOST RAN INTO SOMEONE. THE BRAKES ARE HORRIBLE WITHOUT TOWING AND BEYOND ACCEPTABLE TOWING ANY WEIGHT. SINCE THAT HAPPENED, I HAVE YET TO TOW ANYTHING ELSE, I'M AFRAID THE TRUCK WON'T STOP. I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES AND THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THE BRAKES AREN'T "WHAT THEY SHOULD BE" BUT THERE'S NOTHING THAT THEY CAN DO BECAUSE NISSAN HASN'T ADDRESSED THE PROBLEM. I'M HOPING THAT THIS PROBLEM COULD BE LOCKED INTO. THE DEALER ALSO TOLD ME THAT THE NISSAN ARMADA HAS THE SAME BRAKES AND THE SAME PROBLEMS. My truck just stopped in the middle of the road while driving. I could not move the steering wheel and the engine would not turn over. The gas hand was registering a quarter of a tank of fuel so I did not think that I had run out of gas. After being towed to the shop the mechanic checked the vehicle and said that it was just out of gas but the gas gauge was still registering 1/4 of a tank of gas. Gas was put in the truck and it started right up. The mechanic informed me of a recall on the 2005 nissan titans that matched what was happening to my truck. When I informed nissan they told me there is a recall but that my vin number is not included in the recall. I have had the same incident where the truck just shut off 2 more times now and this should be covered by the nissan recall since this is the exact problem that is happening to my truck that is stated in the recall and my truck is the exact year. Can someone please help me to get nissan to honor this recall for my truck? Recall ID#68290

THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FUEL GAUGE INACCURATELY DISPLAYS THAT THE VEHICLE STILL HAS SOME FUEL, AT ONE QUARTER TANK, WHEN THE FUEL TANK IS ACTUALLY EMPTY. THIS COULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO RUN OUT OF GAS AND STALL ON THE HIGHWAY, WHICH COULD CAUSE A CRASH. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS BUT WAS TOLD THAT MY TRUCK WAS NOT AFFECTED EVEN THOUGH IT IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE.

THE FEEL GAUGE DOES NOT SHOW ACCURATE GASOLINE LEVELS. IT DOES THIS REGARDLESS OF SPEED OR WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AS IF YOU WERE TRAVELING AT HIGH SPEEDS AND RAN OUT OF GAS YOU COULD CAUSE A CRASH. THE FUEL GAUGE CAN SHOW YOU HAVE HALF A TANK BUT YOU ONLY ACTUALLY HAVE A QUARTER OF A TANK. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS FOR ANOTHER MODEL BUT NOT FOR MINE.

THE IPDM (INTELLIGENT POWER DISTRIBUTION MODULE HAS FAILED FOUR TIMES ON THIS VEHICLE. WHEN FAILURE OCCURS THE VEHICLE WILL STALL, NOT CRANK,AND RUNS ROUGH. THIS HAS HAPPENED IN TRAFFIC MANY TIMES WITH THESE FAILURES. THIS CREATES A HAZARDOUS SITUATION. I NEVER KNOW WHEN THIS FAILURE IS GOING TO OCCUR. THERE SEEMS TO BE SOMETHING CAUSING THESE PREMATURE FAILURES OF THIS MODULE.

2005 NISSAN TITAN 121K MILES. CRACKED EXHAUST MANIFOLD CAUSING A EXHAUST LEAK. THERE IS A STRONG EXHAUST SMELL IN THE CAB WHEN TRAVELING AT SLOWER SPEEDS (UNDER 35MPH). IT HAS BEEN SO BAD AT TIMES IT MAKES YOU LIGHT HEADED AND SICK TO YOUR STOMACH. THIS COULD CAUSE SOMEONE TO PASS OUT WHILE DRIVING CAUSING THEM TO LOOSE CONTROL OF THEIR VEHICLE. DEFIANTLY A SAFETY HAZARD! ALSO CAUSING A DECREASE IN GAS MILEAGE AS WELL AS A LOUD KNOCKING/PUFFING NOISE UPON ACCELERATION. I HAVE SEARCHED THE INTERNET FINDING 100'S IF NOT 1000'S OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS! WHY HAS THIS NEVER BEEN RECALLED? THE SAFETY ISSUE ALONE SHOULD WARRANT A RECALL, ITS OBVIOUSLY A FAULTY COMPONENT!

I WAS RIDING DOWN I25 WHEN MY TRUCK ENGINE UNEXPECTEDLY QUIT. AT 75 MPH IT WAS ALL I COULD DO TO CHANGE LANES AND PULL OVER TO THE MEDIAN WITHOUT CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE NISSAN TITAN 4 DOOR 4X4, LIVE IN CALIFORNIA, IT SEEMS THAT WHEN THE TEMPERATURE DROPS THE DOOR LOCKS GET LAZY AND WHEN I ENGAGE THE REMOTE TO LOCK OR UNLOCK YOU CAN HEAR THEM CLICKING A BUNCH OF TIMES BUT NEVER ACTUALLY UNLOCKING DOOR SO THAT I CAN GET IN. SOMETIMES AS I AM DRIVING IF I ROLL DOWN ANY WINDOW AND BACK UP IT WILL MAKE THE LOCKING NOISES DESCRIBED. THEN WHEN I STOP VEHICLE, PUT IN PARK, KEY OUT OF IGNITION, THE DRIVER DOOR LOCK STAYS LOCKED WHILE THE OTHERS UNLOCK. MY TRUCK HAS ROUGHLY 40,000 MILES ON IT. ITS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP 3 X AND THEY HAVE WITNESSED THE ISSUE, CLAIM THEY FIXED IT, AND IT HAPPENS AGAIN A FEW WEEKS LATER. CALL ME STRANGE, BUT IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN ON THE COLDEST DAYS AND GETS BETTER WHEN WARMER. AFTER GIVING THEM MY VIN, THEY STATED THERE WAS NO RECALL ON MY 2005 NISSAN TITAN FOR FALSE FUEL GAUGE READINGS OR OTHER ISSUES REGARDING THE FUEL SYSTEM IN MY VEHICLE. "RECALLS ARE VIN SPECIFIC AND YOURS IS NOT LISTED." WELL, THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH MY VEHICLE'S FUEL GAUGE AS WELL. I WOULD LIKE INFORMATION HOW TO GET MY VEHICLE'S VIN ADDED TO THE LIST OF MALFUNCTIONING FUEL GAUGE ISSUES AND HAVE IT REPLACED BY THE DEALER AS A WARRANTY ITEM, AS OTHERS HAVE DONE. TAKATA RECALL .A RECALL HAS BEEN NOTED FFOR THIS MATTER. I TOOK MY TRUCK TO THE DEALER THE DAY AFTER I FOUND OUT THROUGH MEDIA. THE DEALER INFORMED ME THEY COULD NOT COMPLETE THE RECALL DUE TO A SYSTEM ISSUE WITH MY TRUCK NOT ALLOWING THE UPLOAD OF DATA. THE DEALER STATED TO COMPLETE THE RECALL I WOULD NEED TO PURCHASE A $900 UNIT TO ALLOW MY TRUCK TO UPLOAD THE DATA REQUIRED. I AM FURIOUS THAT DUE TO A RECALL, I NEED TO PAY $900 TO COMPLETE THE PROCESS. THERE ARE NO AFTERMARKET PARTS ON MY TRUCK SO EVERYTHING IS FACTORY ISSUED.

2005 NISSAN TITAN. DOOR LATCH FAILURE DURING COLD WEATHER BELOW FREEZING. LIVE IN PA, SO TIME PERIOD OF THIS WEATHER IS DECEMBER - MARCH. DOOR WILL NOT OPEN, NOR CLOSE PROPERLY FROM INSIDE, OR OUTSIDE OF VEHICLE. HAD THIS PROBLEM LAST WEEK, WAS NOT ABLE TO GET BACK INTO VEHICLE FOR 10MIN . YESTERDAY DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY DOOR OPENED UNEXPECTEDLY AND PASSENGER NEARLY FELL OUT OF VEHICLE. NO ONE INJURED, HOWEVER YOU CAN IMAGINE THE EXPERIENCE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THEIR IS A CURRENT RECALL ON THE FUEL SYSTEM FOR THE GAUGE READING INCORRECTLY AND COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. MY TRUCK IS HAVING THAT ISSUE, BUT MY VIN SHOWS NOT TO BE UNDER THAT RECALL. WHILE DOING A LIQUIDS CHECK I NOTICED THE COOLANT RESERVOIR WAS LOW. I ADDED DISTILLED WATER TO THE RADIATOR AND LOOKED UNDERNEATH TO LOOK FOR A LEAK. I FOUND COOLANT LEAKING FROM THE TRANSMISSION LINE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE RADIATOR. AS I BACKED INTO MY GARAGE, I HEARD THE COOLANT RESERVOIR PRESSURIZE AND START TO OVERFLOW. THE RESERVOIR WAS FILLED WITH TRANNY FLUID. I DRAINED THE TRANSMISSION AND FOUND COOLANT IN THE TRANSMISSION. I OWN A 2005 NISSAN TITAN PICKUP WHICH I DRIVE MAINLY IN THE WINTER DUE TO MY JOB REQUIRING ME TO GO INTO WORK IN EVERY SNOW STORM. I HAVE ONLY 128,000 MI ON MY TRUCK. THE TRUCK SITS IN THE SUMMER TO SAVE ON GAS. AFTER THE TRUCK SAT FOR THREE MONTHS THIS SUMMER HAD TO CHANGE A LEAKY OIL PAN FROM RUST. ONCE THAT WAS FIXED I TOOK IT OUT TO READY IT FOR INSPECTION. WHILE DRIVING CAME TO A STOP SIGN BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR. TRIED PUMPING PEDAL AND HAD NO BRAKES AT ALL. ENGAGED THE E BRAKE AND HAD VERY LITTLE YET NEXT TO NO STOPPING FROM THAT. ENDED UP CONSTANTLY PUMPING BRAKES WITH NO SECONDARY CIRCUIT ENGAGING. I CONTINUED TO GO THROUGH 2 MORE STOP SIGNS BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO A STOP. LUCKILY IT WAS LATER AT NIGHT AND THERE WASN'T MANY CARS ON THE ROAD OR I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN A BAD ACCIDENT. AFTER GETTING THE TRUCK TOWED HOME I HAD PULLED THE LEFT FRONT INNER FENDER LINER OUT TO DISCOVER 2 JUNCTION BLOCKS WITH 3 LINES COMING IN AND GOING OUT. ALL THREE LINES HAD BURST AT THE SAME TIME CAUSING ME TO LOOSE ALL BRAKES. I TOOK A PICTURE OF THIS SO EVERYONE CAN SEE. NISSAN SHOULD PROVIDE AN EXTRA COVERING OR SOMETHING TO KEEP THE ROAD SALT FROM GETTING TO THESE LINES BECAUSE AS THESE TRUCKS GET OLDER I AM SURE PEOPLE WILL EXPERIENCE THE SAME THING AS ME BUT, MAY NOT BE AS LUCKY TO AVOID A BAD CRASH.

I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER 2005 TITAN LE. I HAVE EXPERIENCED A BRAKING ISSUE 8-10 TIMES. WHILE DRIVING IN NORMAL TRAFFIC CONDITIONS ON THE FREEWAY TRAFFIC BEGINS TO SLOW, I APPLIED THE BRAKES. THE ENTIRE TRUCK BEGAN TO VIOLENTLY SHUTTER, THE RED BRAKE ICON ON THE DASH CAME ON, AND THE BRAKE PEDDLE WENT ALMOST ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. I HAD TO PULL TO THE RIGHT TO AVOID HITTING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. THE HARDER YOU PUSH THE MORE THE BRAKES SEEM TO FAIL AND THE TRUCK SHAKES HARDER. THE ONLY THING THAT FIXES THE ISSUE IS TO STOP THE TRUCK AND TURN IT OFF AND RESTART IT. EVERYTHING GOES BACK TO NORMAL AS IF IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME 8-10 TIMES SINCE OWNING THIS TRUCK AS NEW. I HAVE READ MANY INCIDENTS ONLINE IN BLOGS ETC.THAT ARE ALMOST EXACTLY AS I HAVE DESCRIBED. THE DEALER SAID IT WAS AN ISOLATED INCIDENT. I WHOLE HEARTILY DISAGREE WITH THEM. THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT IS ULTIMATELY GOING TO CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH. THE FLUID LEAKS AXLE LUBRICANT BY THE REAR WHEELS, WHICH GETS ONTO THE REAR DISK BRAKES, WHICH MAKES THE REAR BRAKES INEFFECTIVE, ESPECIALLY WHEN PULLING A TRAILER. NISSAN REPLACED THE SEALS, HOWEVER THE POPULAR BELIEF OF THE CAUSE OF THIS IS A 1-WAY VALVE VENT THAT ALLOWS THE PRESSURE WITHIN THE AXLE TO ESCAPE, BUT DOESN'T LET AIR BACK INTO THE AXLE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE BEGAN PULLING TO THE LEFT WITHOUT ASSISTANCE. THE DRIVER PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. HE NOTICED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE WAS FLAT AND THE INTERIOR SIDEWALL HAD LARGE CRACKS. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED WITH A SPARE. IN ADDITION, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE EXHIBITED INTERIOR SIDEWALL CRACKS, BUT THEY WERE NOT AS SEVERE AS THE DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED TIRE SHOP AND THE TECHNICIAN RECOMMENDED REPLACING ALL FOUR TIRES. THE TIRES WERE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECTIVE TIRES, BUT COULD NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 54,000.

NOTICED ROAD NOISE THAT INCREASED WITH MILEAGE. THEN SLIGHT VIBRATION OVER TIME. HAD TIRE ROTATIONS BY OIL CHANGERS AND DEALERSHIP. THEY NOTICED NOTHING ABOUT TIRES. WHEN CONDITION GOT MORE NOTICEABLE,I WENT TO 2 TIRE SHOPS. THEY FIRST TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED TO GO TO A GOODYEAR SHOP BECAUSE I HAVE TIRE SEPARATION. THE SECOND WAS A GOODYEAR STORE THAT TOLD ME THAT I HAD TREAD SEPARATION AND TWISTED BELTS WHICH WERE MANUFACTURED DURING THE STRIKE AT GOODYEAR AND MADE BY OFFICE PERSONNEL. SINCE THIS WAS CLEARLY A DEFECTIVE TIRE, IN MY EYES, I FELT THAT GOODYEAR SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EXPENSE OF NEW TIRES. THE GOODYEAR SHOP STATED THAT THEY WILL SUBMIT THIS AS ROAD NOISE AND GET A MINIMUM L REFUND BACK TO HELP OFFSET THE COST OF NEW TIRES THAT I MUST BUY AT THE TUNE OF $700.00. OF COURSE WE DIDN'T WANT TO PUT THE SAME TIRE BACK ON THE TRUCK. ALSO THESE TIRES HAD 26,300 MILES ON THEM. I HAVE DONE NOTHING EXCEPT CHECK PRICING AT OTHER TIRE PLACES TO SEE IF I AM GETTING ANY DISCOUNT AT ALL. TOTALLY FRUSTRATED I FELT THAT GOODYEAR SHOULD PAY FOR THESE TIRES TO BE REPLACED. The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the passenger's side front air bag warning light illuminated. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The dealer informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 06V459000 (Electrical System) however, the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 101,000.

I HAVE A NISSAN NORTH AMERICA RECALL LETTER ADDRESSED TO ME FOR RECAL 06V-459, WHICH IS A AIRBAG LIGHT AND WIRING HARNESS RECALL ON MY DRIVERS SIDE. I WAS CHARGED FULL PRICE FOR THE RECALL REPAIR AT RIVERHEAD NISAAN IN NEW YORK AND LATER FOUND MY RECALL NOTICE AND HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND NISSAN NORTH AMERICA AND NO QUALITY ASSISTANCE. MY RECALL LETTER SAYS I AM ELIGIBLE FOR REIMBURSEMENTS AND TO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC AND SAFETY ADMINISTRATION. I AM DOING SO BECAUSE NISSAN IS NOT HELPING ME. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE (RECALL 06V-459) FROM NISSAN APPROXIMATELY 4 YEARS AGO REGARDING THE WIRING HARNESS BEING DEFECTIVE. THE ORIGINAL NOTICE DID NOT MENTION THAT IT WOULD REQUIRE SERVICE ONLY IF THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS ON OR FLASHING (WHICH IT WAS NOT). I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE IN FOR THE RECALL (AT KELLY NISSAN OF LYNNFIELD MA), NOT KNOWING THIS AND THEY SIMPLY TAPED THE WIRING HARNESSES AFTER INSPECTION AND RECORDED THE RECALL SERVICED ON THE NISSAN TITAN AND MOST LIKELY CHARGED NISSAN OF NORTH AMERICA FOR PARTS AND LABOR FOR A HARNESS REPLACEMENT. AT 65,000 MILES I STARTED TO GET THE AIRBAG SENSOR LIGHT ON MY DASHBOARD FLASHING CONSTANTLY. I RESEARCHED THE FLASHING CODE FROM THE SENSOR AND IT TURNS OUT TO BE RELATED TO THE PASSENGER SIDE WIRING HARNESS. AS RECENTLY AS 2 WEEKS AGO I RECEIVED WHAT I THOUGHT WAS ANOTHER RECALL NOTICE FROM NISSAN OF NORTH AMERICA WHICH CLEARLY STATED THIS TIME " IF THE RED AIRBAG WARNING LAMP IS ILLUMINATED - PLEASE CONTACT YOUR DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY FOR REPAIRS" , AFTER SCHEDULING ANOTHER APPOINTMENT WITH THE SAME DEALERSHIP THAT DID THE ORIGINAL RECALL AND BRINGING THE VEHICLE IN THEY TOLD ME THAT THE RECALL HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE AND THE WAS NO OTHER ACTION THAT COULD BE PERFORMED WITHOUT A CHARGE TO ME. THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AS I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER. REAR AXEL SEAL IS LEAKING FOR THE THIRD TIME, WHICH CAN COMPROMISE THE REAR BRAKES WITH AXEL FLUID. NISSAN MADE THE FIRST REPAIR AT 30,000 MILES UNDER WARRANTY. I PAID FOR PARTS AND MADE REPAIRS MYSELF THE SECOND TIME. NOW AT THE THIRD I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS, AND THEY HAVE REFUSED, WITH NO EXPLANATION, TO HELP WITH THIS REPAIR, EVEN THOUGH THEY ISSUED AN INTERNAL SERVICE BULLETIN IN 2010, TO REPLACE THE COMPLETE AXEL WITH BEARING AND SEAL. THE VEHICLE BRAKING BEGAN TO DETERIORATE SO I CHECKED EACH WHEEL, FRONT AND BACK. WHILE INSPECTING THE REAR BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS I NOTICED OIL ON BOTH. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION I NOTICED THAT THE REAR AXLE SEAL ON BOTH SIDES WAS LEAKING OIL AND IT HAD GOTTEN ON THE ROTORS AND PADS. I REPLACED BOTH ROTORS AND ALL PADS ON THE REAR, AND INSPECTED THE REAR AXLE VENT WHICH I FOUND PLUGGED. I INSTALLED A NEW VENT BUT THE REAR AXLE SEALS ARE STILL LEAKING AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. 1ST INCIDENT OCCURRED DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. I WAS DRIVING AROUND 25MPH WHEN MY TITAN STARTED TO STALL AND THEN CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP, WAS JUST ABOUT REAR-END BY DELIVERY TRUCK. I WAS STUCK ON THE STREET IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC FOR 2 HOURS BEFORE A TOW TRUCK WAS ABLE TO COME TOW TRUCK. I HAD MECHANIC LOOK IT OVER AND IT CAME OUT THAT I HAD RUN OUT OF GAS, MECHANIC LOOKED AT FUEL GAUGE AND IT WAS READING OF TANK BUT WOULD NOT START. ONCE COUPLE GALLONS WERE ADDED TRUCK STARTED RIGHT UP. MECHANIC STATED THAT FUEL GAUGE IS READING WRONG, MECHANIC LOOKED UP TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANY RECALLS. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE 2005 NISSAN TITAN FOR THE FUEL SYSTEM NOT READING CORRECTLY. BUT DEALER STATED THAT MY VIN NUMBER DIDN'T FALL INTO THAT RECALL. MECHANIC STATED IT WOULD BE OVER $900 TO FIX. SO I HAD TO TELL THE MECHANIC NOT TO FIX IT. OVER THE YEARS, I HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS ABOUT 3 MORE TIMES DUE TO THE FUEL GAUGE NOT READING CORRECTLY. I HAVE A 2005 NISSAN TITAN AND IT HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE DOOR HANDLE CABLES FREEZING UP. IT MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN THE DOOR AND IF THE DOOR IS OPENED, IT WILL NOT CLOSE SECURELY. I WAS ABLE TO GET INTO THE TRUCK BUT THE DOOR CAME OPEN AS I WAS DRIVING. LUCKILY, I ALWAYS WEAR MY SEAT BELT OR IT COULD HAVE GOTTEN VERY UGLY. I TOOK IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP ON JAN 4, 2011 AND WAS TOLD THEY COULD REPLACE THE CABLES FOR ABOUT $400 PER DOOR SINCE IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. IN COLD TEMPERATURES THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR ON OUR 2005 NISSAN TITAN CREW CAB IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO OR WILL NOT OPEN. I PURCHASED MY NISSAN TITAN IN JAN OF 2006, AND SINCE THEN HAVE BEEN PLAGUED BY REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE. THE MOST RECENT AND MOST ANNOYING HAS BEEN THE FRONT BRAKES. OVER THE COURSE OF A FEW WEEKS, MY TRUCK WOULD START TO SHUDDER VIOLENTLY WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES. UPON HAVING THE PROBLEM SERVICED I WAS TOLD THAT THE FRONT ROTORS WERE WARPED TO THE POINT OF FAILURE. THE ENTIRE FRONT BRAKE SYSTEM WAS REPLACED AT NO COST TO ME.

WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, MY ENGINE STALLED. I LOST ALL ENGINE POWER TO MY TRUCK, WITH NO ERROR CODES, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I HAD TO PLACE MY TRUCK IN NEUTRAL WHILE AT SPEED IN TRAFFIC IN THE LEFT LANE AND COAST TO A SAFE LOCATION ON THE RIGHT SHOULDER. DURING THIS TIME, I HAD NO POWER STEERING OR POWER BRAKES. AFTER I SAFELY STOPPED ON THE SHOULDER, I TRIED TO RESTART MY ENGINE. MY ENGINE WOULD NOT START. APPROXIMATELY ONE MONTH PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT, MY TRUCK HAD INTERMITTENTLY STALLED WHILE STOPPED, WITH AN ERROR CODE THAT POINTED TO AN INEFFECTIVE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. I HAD MY MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR REPLACED, MY ECM RELAY REPLACED, AND MY CATALYTIC CONVERTER REPLACED, AT A COST OF ~ $5000 TOTAL. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT AFTER HAVING THE RECALL REPAIRS PERFORMED, STRONG FUMES CONTINUED TO EMIT IN AND AROUND THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE PASS 40 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER IN THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS WITHIN THE WEEK TO REPAIR THE FUEL SYSTEM. THE DEALER REPAIRED THE FUEL LEVEL SENDER AND THE ECM RELAY. I WAS DRIVING HOME ON A STATE ROUTE WITH A SPEED LIMIT OF 55 MPH. THE VEHICLE INDICATED THERE WAS 1/4 OF A TANK OF FUEL LEFT AND THEN THE ENGINE ABRUPTLY SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS GOING 55 MPH WITH TRAFFIC BEHIND ME AND VERY LIMITED RUN OFF ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. WHEN THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF I LOST ALL POWER STEERING AND THE VEHICLE BECAME VERY HARD TO STOP. LUCKILY I WAS IN A TRUCK AND WAS ABLE TO PULL OF ONTO THE GRASS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, OTHERWISE IT MAY HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. THE AUTO CENTER REPRESENTATIVE (WHO WAS ACTUALLY THE ONE FILING THE COMPLAINT) STATED THAT THE RECALL REMEDY DID NOT ACTUALLY REPAIR THE ENTIRE FAILURE. THE REPRESENTATIVE FURTHER STATED THAT THE FAN REPAIR WAS INSUFFICIENT AND THE RECALL NOTICE NEVER DESCRIBED WHAT COULD OVERHEAT. AFTER HAVING IPDM MODULE REPLACED (CAMPAIGN NUMBER 10V517000), THE SES LIGHT SHOWED BAD CATALYTIC CONVERTERS WITHIN A FEW THOUSAND MILES. THE IPDM MODULE FAILED BEFORE BEING REPLACED AND IT CAUSED RAW FUEL TO BE DUMPED ON THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS WHICH CAUSED THEM TO FAIL. I THINK NISSAN SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF FAILED CATALYTIC CONVERTERS WHEN THEIR FAULTY PART CAUSED THE DAMAGE. THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR ($2,800). AFTER LOOKING AT FORUMS ON THE INTERNET, I SEE MANY PEOPLE HAVING ISSUES WITH THE TITAN CATALYTIC CONVERTERS AND HAVING THEM FAIL BEFORE THE VEHICLE REACHES 100K MILES. WAS DRIVING OUR 2005 NISSAN TITAN APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH WHEN THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL FAILED. WE WERE 30 SECONDS FROM GETTING ON A MAJOR INTERSTATE. THERE WAS A LOUD "POP" SOUND AND THE TRUCK JERKED AND SEEMED TO SLIP OUT OF GEAR AND LOCKED UP. THE TRUCK WAS BARELY DRIVABLE. OUR MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT IT WAS THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL. WHEN HE CALLED NISSAN TO ORDER THE PARTS TO REBUILD IT, HE WAS TOLD BY THE NISSAN PARTS DISTRIBUTOR THAT BECAUSE OF "PREVIOUS PROBLEMS" WITH THE DIFFERENTIAL, THEY ONLY SELL THE ENTIRE DIFFERENTIAL PART, NOT THE INDIVIDUAL COMPONENTS, THE PART ALONE WAS $2900. OUR ENTIRE BILL WAS $3800, AND OFCOURSE WE ARE OUT OF WARRANTY. WE CONDUCTED RESEARCH ON THIS ISSUE AND FOUND 80 COMPLAINTS ON THIS NHTSA WEBSITE, COUNTLESS CONSUMER COMPLAINTS ON VARIOUS WEBSITES, AND EVEN SOME COURT CASES. NISSAN CLEARLY KNOWS ABOUT THIS POTENTIALLY LIFE-THREATENING ISSUE IN THE 2004 AND 2005 MODELS AND HAS DONE NOTHING ABOUT IT TO PROTECT CONSUMERS. WE WILL BE PURSUING THIS WITH NISSAN AND WILL BE TAKING LEGAL ACTION IF NECESSARY. NOT SURE WHY NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ABOUT THIS ESPECIALLY GIVEN ALL THE COMPLAINTS OUT THERE. THE AXLE SEALS LEAK INTERMITTINGLY ON BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE, REAR AXLE. GEAR OIL LEAKS OUT AND COATS THE BACKSIDE OF THE BRAKE/WHEEL ASSEMBLY. THIS IS THE SECOND INCIDENT ON THE DRIVER SIDE. THE FIRST TIME IT WAS FIXED UNDER WARRANTY AT APPROXIMATELY 20000 MILES. FOR THE PAST THREE MONTHS, I'VE SPENT OVER $3,000 DIAGNOSING AND "FIXING" ERRONEOUS WARNING LIGHTS. THIS PAST WEEK, MY TRUCK (2005 TITAN) WOULD NOT START. THE FIRST TIME, IT JUST CRANKED THE STARTER, BUT WOULD NOT ENGAGE. NOW, I CAN TURN THE IGNITION TO START AND THE STARTER WON'T EVEN ENGAGE (NO "CLICKING" NOISE, NO NOISE WHATSOEVER). IT WILL START AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, BUT I HAVE TO WAIT AT LEAST 2-3 MINUTES BETWEEN EACH ATTEMPT. I'VE REPLACED THE ECM (AT MY OWN EXPENSE) AND IT STILL DOES NOT START PROPERLY. IT APPEARS (FROM READING ONLINE POSTS IN TITAN FORUMS) THAT THE ISSUE IS THE IPDM (INTELLIGENT POWER DISTRIBUTION MODULE). THE SYMPTOMS ALL LINE UP. I FEEL LUCKY THAT MY ENGINE HAS NOT COMPLETELY STOPPED WHILE DRIVING (YET). DESIGN FLAW ON NISSAN TITAN DUE TO EXHAUST LEAK WHICH WILL THEN BURN THE ELECTRICAL WIRING AND THE TRUCK WILL STOP ALL OF SUDDEN WITH LOST OF POWER AND BRAKES, WHICH MAY CAUSE ACCIDENTS. *TR WE WERE ON OUR WAY BACK FROM CAMPING TRIP WITH TRAVEL TRAILER IN TOW. ON INTERSTATE 81 NEAR WILKES BARRE, PA...WE WERE GOING 65 MPH AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE VEHICLE ENGINE STOPPED, WE HAD A LOST OF POWER AND BRAKES AND HAD TO CRIPPLE TOWARDS THE SHOULDER AND COULDN'T START THE ENGINE AGAIN. WHAT CAUSED THIS FAILURE IS THE TAIL PIPE CAME LOOSE DUE TO RUST AND THE HEAT FROM THE EXHAUST BURNED THE ELECTRICAL WIRING THAT WAS PLACED ALONGISDE THE EXHAUST CAUSING THE ENGINE COMPUTER TO MALFUNCTION. WE HAD TO PAY $1,300.00 TO GET THE VEHICLE REPAIRED NOT INCLUDING ONE NIGHT HOTEL STAY AND RENTING A CAR BACK HOME BECAUSE THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR A FEW DAYS AND HAVING TO DRIVE BACK UP TO PICK UP THE TRUCK WITH THE TRAVEL TRAILER AND BRING THEM ALL BACK HOME. NISSAN SHOULD HAVE PROTECTED THE WIRING IN THE EXHAUST AREA WITH HEAT SHIELD OF SOME SORT. EXHAUST LEAKS OVER TIME, IT'S THE NATURE OF THE EXHAUST BUT IT SHOULD NOT REQUIRE CUSTOMERS TO PAY $1,300.00 TO GET THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM REPAIRED. I RESEARCHED THIS PROBLEM AND NOTICED THAT MULTIPLE 2005 NISSAN TITANS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM OF THIS PIN SNAPPING CAUSING THE TRUCK TO GO INTO LIMP MODE BECAUSE THE SOLENOID RECEIVES NOW POWER. I WAS TURNING ONTO A MAIN ROAD WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT WAS 35 SO I ACCELERATED THINKING IT WOULD DO SO NORMAL AND MAKE IT BEFORE AN ONCOMING CAR WAS COMING, WHEN THE TRUCK WAS SLOWLY MOVING IN FRONT OF THE INCOMING CAR, I HAD TO QUICKLY PUT THE TRUCK INTO REVERSE TO AVOID THE ON COMING CAR BECAUSE I WAS EXCEPTING TO MAKE THE TURN BEFORE THE CAR WOULD COME BUT THE TRUCK GOING INTO LIMP MODE CAUSE THE TRUCK TO TAKE MUCH LONGER TO BARELY MAKE THAT TURN. NISSAN PREVIOUSLY ISSUED A RECALL DEALING WITH THE WIRING HARNESS ISSUE, #06V459000 TO REROUTE AND CHANGE THE WIRING COVER. THIS AFFECTS THE AIRBAGS AND THE OPERATION OF THE SEAT BELTS, AS WELL AS THE AUDIO SYSTEM. THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS FLASHING AND THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR SPEAKER DOESN'T WORK. THE RECALL WAS JUST A TEMPORARY COVER UP OF THE PROBLEM. THE ISSUE CAME UP AGAIN AND THEY REFUSE TO FIX IT, WANTING TO CHARGE UPWARDS OF $1000 TO REPLACE THE WIRING HARNESSS, A PROBLEM THEY ARE ALREADY AWARE OF. HI, I HAVE A 2005 NISSAN TITAN AND THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD HAS CRACKED IN THE SAME SPOT TWICE NOW AND IT IS BEFORE THE CAT SO THAT MEANS ITS NOW A GROSS POLLUTER. THE PROBLEM IS YOU GET IT FIXED AND THEY PUT THE SAME PART BACK ON THAT CRACKS AGAIN BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T CHANGED THE DESIGN. THERE ARE 3 OTHER TITANS IN MY TOWN AND ALL OF US HAVE THE SAME STORY. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY THE TRUCK STALLED AND LOST ALL POWER. WHILE MOVING FORWARD FROM PARK, THE REAR TIRES LOCKED UP. I REVERSED AND THEN MOVED FORWARD TO TRY TO FREE THE TIRES. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS OFF. IT TOOK SEVERAL TIMES OF SHIFTING GEARS BEFORE THE VEHICLE WOULD MOVE FREELY. I RESEARCHED THE INTERNET AND FOUND SEVERAL OTHER TITAN OWNERS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY TRACED THE CAUSE TO THE REAR EMERGENCY BRAKE PADS DISLODGING FROM THE HUB AND BECOMING LODGED IN THE REAR ROTOR. I WAS HAVING AN ISSUE WITH MY ENGINE STALLING WITH AROUND 97,900 MILES ON MY 2005 NISSAN TITAN. AT THIS TIME, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ALSO CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET THE PROBLEM CODE READ AND THEY SAID I HAD FAULTY BANK 1 AND BANK 2 CATALYTIC CONVERTERS. THE DEALER SAID THE STALLING WAS DUE TO A RECALL, NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 10V517000. MY COMPLAINT IS THAT I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH MY CATALYTIC CONVERTERS UNTIL THIS RECALL ISSUE. I OWN A 2005 NISSAN TITAN KING CAB, WHICH I PURCHASED IT IN NOVEMBER OF 2005. AFTER, APPROXIMATELY 30DAYS OF OWNERSHIP AND 500 MILES OF TRAVEL; THE FRONT BRAKES BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE COMPLICATIONS (THEY WOULD SHUDDER WHILE BRAKING AND CREATE AN UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF BRAKE DUST.) I QUICKLY RETURN TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED IT, FOR SERVICING. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP REPAIRED THE ROTORS. DURING THE SUMMER OF 2006, I BEGAN TO NOTICE A MUSTY ODOR EMITTING FROM THE FLOOR AND CARPETING OF THE PASSENGER SIDE. DURING A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE AND REQUESTED THE MECHANIC TO INSPECT THE TRUCK FOR THE CAUSE OF THE ODOR. THEY COULDN'T LOCATE THE SOURCE OF THE ODOR. I RETURNED THE TRUCK TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE SAME PROBLEM ON SEVERAL OTHER OCCASIONS, DURING THE SUMMER OF 2007 ODOR REAPPEARED; THEY REPLACED THE RUBBER GASKET AROUND DOOR WINDOWS IN HOPES OF RESOLVING THE ISSUE. MEANWHILE THE FRONT BRAKES ROTORS WERE REPLACED AGAIN AND THE GAUGES (FUEL, OIL, TACH ,VOLTMETER) ACTING ERRATICALLY. THE DEALERSHIP REPAIRED THE BRAKES UNDER MY EXTENDED WARRANTY & PRORATED MY PURCHASE OF A NEW NISSAN AUTO BATTERY; ACCORDING TO SERVICE DEPT. THIS WAS THE CAUSE OF THE GAUGES MALFUNCTION. LEFT & RIGHT REAR SEALS LEAKING ON MY KING CAB 05 NISSAN TITAN. I HAD THE 60,000 MILE SERVICE DONE IN EARLY JULY 2009, AT THE DEALERSHIP. THE APPROXIMATE MILEAGE ON MY TRUCK AT THAT TIME WAS AROUND 66,000 MILES. UPON COMPLETING THE JOB, THE NEXT DAY, MOST OF THE TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKED OUT OF MY TRUCK. THE DEALERSHIP CAME TO MY HOUSE AND REPAIRED THE LEAK AND TOPPED OFF THE TRANSMISSION FLUID. THEY SAID THAT IT WAS A FAILED HOSE CLAMP. I PURCHASED A NEW NISSAN TITAN FROM ALAN KURTH DEALERSHIP MINOT, ND. MAY OF 2005. WITHIN THE YEAR I ASKED SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT THE "STRANGE" BRAKING EXPERIENCE. I NOTICED SOME VIBRATION FROM THE FRONT BRAKES THAT ALSO VIBRATED THE STEERING COLUMN. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS WAS NORMAL ON A TITAN HEAVY DUTY TRUCK . I AM NOT A MECHANIC AND TOOK THEIR WORD. WHEN THEY HAD FINALLY FINISHED WITH THEIR INSPECTION HE TOLD ME THAT "NISSAN WOULD NOT PROVIDE A COURTESY REPAIR SINCE THEY HAD INITIALLY EXTENDED THE WARRANTY EXPIRED IN 2008. PURCHASED A NEW 2005 NISSAN TITAN 4-DOOR PICK-UP TRUCK IN FEBRUARY 2005. BOTH THE MANUFACTURER AS WELL AS THE DEALERSHIP KNEW OF AN EXISTING SAFETY PROBLEM REGARDING THE BRAKING SYSTEM OF BOTH 2004 AND 2005 TITAN PICK-UP TRUCK MODELS, BUT FAILED TO ALERT MYSELF OF THE PROBLEM. I HAD TO THREATEN TO SUE THE DEALERSHIP TO PROVIDE AND INSTALL THE MANUFACTURER'S SUGGESTED REPLACEMENT PARTS TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. THE REPLACEMENT PARTS WERE INSTALLED LESS THAN 60 DAYS AGO, AND THE PROBLEM HAS RESURFACED. WHEN I SPOKE WITH 2 SEPARATE NISSAN CORPORATION REPRESENTATIVES, THEY PROVIDED ME FALSE INFORMATION, AND THEY TOLD ME THEY CONSIDERED THE MATTER CLOSED AND IF I WAS NOT SATISFIED THEN I SHOULD CONTACT A LEMON-LAW ATTORNEY! I DEMAND THE MANUFACTURER AND THE DEALER TO REFUND MY MONEY ENTIRELY! THEY FRAUDENTLY SOLD ME A VEHICLE THAT IS NOT SAFE TO BE ON THE ROAD. ADDITIONALLY, 2 ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS REGARDING THE DRIVER'S POWER SEAT AND THE RADIO HAVE SURFACED AND THE BOTH THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER HAVE DONE NOTHING TO FIX THESE PROBLEMS AS WELL.

WE PURCHASED A TRUCK FROM NISSAN IN OCTOBER OF 2004. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP MANY TIMES AND IN DECEMBER OF 2004, IT WAS THERE OVER 30 DAYS. THE TRANSMISSION AND THE REAR END HAVE BOTH GONE OUT, WINDOWS DON'T ROLL UP AND DOWN CORRECTLY, RATTLING IN THE CAB WHERE THE VISOR AND GARAGE DOOR OPENERS ARE HELD. THE BRAKE, VDC, TOW, AND ABS SWITCH STAY ON ALL THE TIME. THE BRAKES ARE GOING OUT AND THE WHOLE TRUCK SHIMMIES. NOW IN ADDITION TO THE TRANSMISSION BEING REPLACED ONCE, IT'S SLIPPING AGAIN. NISSAN STATED THEY WOULD PAY FOR THE RENTAL ON THE 30 DAYS, BUT THAT WAS A LIE. THEY SOCKED ME WITH AN $283.00 BILL. $181.00 WAS TO FILL UP THE TANK WITH GAS!!!!!!! THERE ARE ALSO MISSING VALVES ON THE TIRES THEY THEMSLEVES TOOK OFF AND DIDN'T REPLACE AND THE ALARM GOES OFF BY ITSELF WHEN NO ONE IS AROUND. GIVE ME A BREAK...NISSAN STATES THIS DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR THE LEMON LAW. I NEED HELP IN THIS SITUATION. *AK

I HAVE A 2005 NISSAN TITAN FULLY LOADED. I HAVE HAD THE BRAKES CHANGED TWICE. THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW DOES NOT OPERATE PROPERLY. NISSAN WAS AWARE THAT THE BRAKES ON THE TRUCK HAD PROBLEMS AND NEVER TOLD ME WHEN I BOUGHT IT. NISSAN WAS AWARE THAT THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW IS ALSO DEFECTIVE. THERE IS A TSB ISSUED FOR BOTH PROBLEMS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE IS NO FIX FOR THE BRAKES, THAT I WILL HAVE TO CONTINUE TO BRING THE TRUCK IN ABOUT EVERY 3000 MILES AND HAVE THE ROTORS AND PADS REPLACED. I WAS TOLD NISSAN IS LOOKING FOR A FIX. THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW IS THE SAME SITUATION. NISSAN CORPORATE HAS TOLD DEALERSHIPS NOT TO FIX THE WINDOW ISSUE, THEY HAVE NO RESOLUTION TO THE ISSUE. THE WINDOW MAY STOP IN THE DOWN POSISTION OR IN THE UP POSITION. IN MY CASE IT HAS DONE BOTH AND FINALLY IT WOULD NOT GO UP AT ALL. I HAD TO DRIVE WITH THE WINDOW OPEN FOR A DAY UNTIL I COULD GET IT TO A DEALER TO BE LOOKED AT. THE DEALERSHIP HAS TOLD ME THERE IS NO FIX BUT THEY WOULD TRY THERE BEST. *AK
