My transmission went out pre-maturely on the high way and I almost got rear-ended. It’s a CVT transmission which has had a class action lawsuit which I wasn’t aware of when I bought car in 2020. Nissan should hold more responsibility but they refuse to help my basically totaled car.

At approximately 130K miles the CVT transmission had a sudden failure. Struggles to shift gears properly and often will pick a random one, which causes further damaged. Vehicle has sat for years, the transmission is unrepairable and a new unit must be installed which cost around $3500 for the transmission alone not including labor as told by the Nissan dealership. I now sit with a giant paper weight that is useless and worth nothing. Manufacturer should be held responsible as this issue exists and has been recalled in other models and years with the same transmission or issue.

The car is constantly jerking and losing power. The car has been towed for not responding after acceleration. Mechanic has told me it is the transmission. Car only has roughly 86k miles on it. Not safe to drive at all.

CVT Transmission slip and judder. Upon full stop, only drives after turning ignition off and on again. Getting stuck at traffic light stop and holding up the traffic for 30 seconds every stop is a safety concern for myself and others. P0868 - FLUID PRESS LOW P0965 - PC SOLENOID B P17F0 - CVT JUDDER (T/M INSPECTION) Vehicle has been inspected and diagnosed by Nissan dealership. There has been no warning lamps to warn of the issue, other than check engine light.

Hi, I am writing to express my concern regarding a recurring issue with my 2014 Nissan Versa Note. Recently, I noticed that the vehicle emits a noticeable noise when the engine reaches 1500 to 2000 RPM. Upon consulting a mechanic, I was informed that this problem is common with the CVT transmission in Nissan Versa Note models. The mechanic advised that the transmission needs to be replaced, as this defect poses a significant hazard. There is a risk that the transmission could fail without warning, compromising the safety of the vehicle and its occupants. Given the severity of this issue, I request that Nissan initiate a recall to address and rectify this problem promptly. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.

Heat shields for exhaust system particularly protecting the gas tank from high heat tear easily at bolts making a rattling sound as a first symptom. This causes cracks in the heat shield which is flimsy, thin material. It poses a risk to drivers in that the gas tank could explode due to lack of protection or from poor protection from heat of exhaust. The sheer number of Nissan Versa and Versa Plus heat shields failing is alarming.

When I was driving normally on a hot day(90 degree), in on and go traffic, the lights of Engine, brake, battery, power steering suddenly all lighted up and the Engine stalked any the same time without any warning. Brake, power steering, oil pedal all stopped working. At that time, the AC was not in use so it would not be a problem. I turned off the Engine, and turned on it again and everything worked normally again. I brought my car to check the battery, charging system, starting system. All good. Also, I check all fluid levels(brake, transmission, engine oil, coolant, window wash fluid) which were all normal. I am the first owner of the car. The car was well maintained and gently used, and only has 15,000 miles. The most recent oil change was two months ago and it was also inspected by the Nissan dealer that time without any problems. This is very dangerous for my family. That time I was driving in the heavy traffic on high way, when the engine stalked suddenly and my car lost power, my car was hit by a SUV behind me. I had an accident, and it was pretty bad and my air bags did not deploy. The car might be a total loss and I was very surprised and concerned that the bags did not deploy. Even my phone detected the crash and alerted my family members. That happened immediately after the crash.

I was the driver, and was tbone by someone on passenger side. My speed was 33mph, none of my airbag went off. I've became injuried badly since the accident. The vehicle came straight from manufacturer to dealership, then to me. No accidents was reported before mine. No, I didn't see any warning light, everything looked okay, I bought this car from dealership, was told no problem with it, unfortunately it took an accident to find out the hard way.

Transmission malfunction. No light indicators turned on to signal transmission issues. Took car to dealer x 2 to file complaint. Told car was fine and that was how car functions. 3rd time went to dealer for same issue and told new transmission needed.

I WAS APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT. AS I APPROACHED THE STOP LIGHT I BEGAN TO GRADUALLY APPLY THE BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN, BUT THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND THE BRAKES DID NOT ENGAGE. THE PEDAL FELT LIKE NORMAL RESISTANCE WAS THERE WHEN PUSHING ON IT WITH MY FOOT, BUT THE BRAKES DID NOT WORK TO SLOW THE VEHICLE. I QUICKLY REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE BRAKE, LOOKED AT MY FEET TO MAKE SURE I WAS ON THE BRAKE, THEN SLAMMED THE BRAKES AND THE PEDAL ONCE AGAIN WENT TO THE FLOOR. WHILE MY FOOT WAS STILL ON THE BRAKE THE BRAKES ENGAGED AND LOCKED UP ABOUT 2 TO 3 SECONDS AFTER SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES. ONCE I REALIZED THE BRAKES WEREN'T WORKING I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO AVOID HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME AND I REAR-ENDED THEM. AS I FOLLOWED THE VEHICLE THAT I HIT TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, THE BRAKES STILL WERE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. WHEN PUSHING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL IT WOULD ENGAGE, BUT NOT WITH THE NORMAL LEVEL OF RESISTANCE. BY THE TIME I ARRIVED AT THE LOCATION WE WERE GOING TO PULL OVER AT THE BRAKES WERE WORKING NORMALLY. WE CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS ABOUT THE INCIDENT AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT CONDUCT AN INVESTIGATION UNLESS THE CAR WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP INSPECTED IT AND SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE BRAKES. WE CHECKED BACK WITH NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT MOVE FORWARD WITH AN INVESTIGATION AND WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING UNLESS A RECALL WAS ISSUED. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD US THAT THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED OVER $6,000 WORTH OF DAMAGE AND THAT THE FRAME IS DAMAGED.

The contact was able to coast to the shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle was able to restart, but the contact had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic; however, the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. MY 2014 NISSAN VERSA BEGAN HAVING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS TODAY AT 3:15PM. MY BLINKERS ARE COMING ON WHEN I TURN THE HEAD LIGHTS ON AND THE BRIGHT LIGHT SWITCH TURNS ON WITH THE BLINKER AND IS NOT ON BRIGHT LIGHT MODE. ON THE MORNING OF MARCH 4TH 2019, AFTER EXISTING THE EXPRESS WAY MY VEHICLE SEEMED TO SLOW DESPITE BEING ON THE ACCELERATOR. AFTER STOPPING AT A RED LIGHT, AND I BEGAN TO PRESS ON THE ACCELERATOR THE CAR WOULD ONLY ROLL. THE VEHICLE HAD LOST POWER AND WAS AT A SLOW ROLL. I CONTINUED TO PRESS ON THE ACCELERATOR AT IT WAS AS IF THE CAR WAS DEAD. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND I SENT THE CAR TO THEM ON A FLATBED ON TUESDAY. AFTER A DAY I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO FIND WHAT HAD CAUSED THE MALFUNCTION. I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL SHORT THAT SENT A SIGNAL SAYING 'I WAS ON THE BREAK AND NOT THE GAS". ON PICKING UP THE VEHICLE I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE MECHANIC, I EXPRESSED MY CONFUSION BECAUSE THERE WERE NO INDICATION OF AN INOPERATIVE LIGHT BULB OR AN INDICATOR IN THE VEHICLE TO SUBSTANTIATE ANY FAILURE. I WAS TOLD "THERE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE ANY WARNING OR INDICATION" BY THE MECHANIC. I CONTACTED NISSAN, A REPRESENTATIVE FOLLOWED UP AND TOLD ME THEY WOULD GET BACK TO ME AFTER TALKING TO THE REPAIR SERVICE. WHEN THEY DID CONTACT ME AGAIN REGARDING MY CONCERNED ALL I WAS TOLD IS THAT THE PROBLEM IS RESOLVED. I RAISED THE QUESTION OF HOW CAN A VEHICLE LOSE POWER AND COME TO A STOP WITHOUT NO INDICATION AND I WAS TOLD "THEY DON'T HAVE THE ANSWERS". THE CAR MALFUNCTION PUT MY LIFE IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION AND NISSAN HAVE NEGLECTED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE VEHICLE IS FAULTY.

the problem in my car is ethier the transmission or transmission control module. The transmission started slipping and then suddenly on the hey of 395 north bound it simply just wouldn't do anything it had no reaction at all right in the middle of the freeway and there I was stuck people at 65-70 miles an hour whizzing by me not to mention simi trucks.tge reason I am writing is I looked up the problem at it is a very common problem with this year and make of the car. I went to nissan here in reno nv and they will not honor the recall sayes it is because of a branded title. The car had been wrecked only damaging the front bumper. Nothing to the motor or transmission was rebuilt but because it had previously been turned in as an insurance claim nissan of reno will NOT honor the recall. Any damage that was done was cosmetic not to the motor or transmission. I would like to know if nissan should honor the recalls on my vehicle. It has 98,000 miles on it and falls under the 10 year under 120,000 miles. The service person I talked to treated me like I was dumb and pretty much pushed me out the door and told me that they don't have to honor it. I am tempted to get ahold of previous owner to see if his insurance claim had anything to do with this transmission issue. It has one complaint after another on YouTube over this very issue. Please help me I don't know what to do. Thank you.

I NOTICED THE VEHICLE SPUTTERS AND JERKS WHEN I TRY TO ACCELERATE PREVENTING ME FROM DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY IN FEAR OF BEING IN AN ACCIDENT. TOOK IT TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND THEY DIAGNOSED IT AS A BAD TRANSMISSION. THE COST OF A NEW ONE IS VERY EXPENSIVE. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 72,XXX MILES ON IT.

PROBLEMS WITH TRANSMISSION. RPM GO VERY HIGH AND IT WON'T SWITCH GEARS, THEN AFTER STRUGGLING IT WILL SWITCH GEAR BUT JERK THE CAR VERY HARD AND YOU CAN HEAR IT SWITCH VERY HARD. IT DOES DOES IN THE STREET AND HIGHWAY. MAKES ME VERY CONCERNED ABOUT GETTING ON A HIGHWAY AND MY TRANSMISSION FAILING TO SWITCH TO HIGHER GEARS AND OTHER CARS HITTING ME FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO GO INTO FASTER SPEEDS. The floor mat of the driver side has two (2)plastics hooks to hold the mat in place. If the hooks are broken or missing the mat slice of the accelerator and brake paddle. If the mat is on top or bottom of the paddle, it interferes with the brake or accelerator. These are two (2) plastic hooks. I called the dealer and Nissan does not offer these parts, the plastics hooks. The only offer the WHOLE carpet with the hooks for $500 plus. This is absurd. This means that I need to pay $500 for TWO plastics hooks. Remember if this hooks are not holding the mat an incident can occur. In my opinion, this is a safety issue. Nissan SHOULD have this parts available or provide parts more durable, no plastic parts.

I purchased my car 2 years ago from a used car dealership. It began to give me problems a few months after that. I then took my car to Nissan to be reprogrammed for free back when there was an open recall on my car when I found out it had too many miles for the warranty that would allow the transmission to be replaced. I've been driving it since and doing normal maintenance on it regularly. It recently began giving me trouble. I had to pull off the interstate because it would not accelerate and could have easily gotten into a car accident. I took it back to the dealership where they will be performing a diagnostic study on the car.

WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, SUNDAY , APRIL 3 AROUND 12:30 PM, TEMPERATURE AROUND 40 DEGREES, SUNNY CONDITIONS, NO RAIN. THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY LOST CONTROL OF ACCELERATION FROM THE FOOT PEDAL. I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO THE EDGE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE CAR STILL HAD HALF A TANK OF GAS PROVIDED FROM THE SELLER, HERTZ, SO WE PUT LESS THAN 100 MILES SINCE THE PURCHASE. THE ENGINE IDLED SMOOTHLY, THE TRANSMISSION WAS PROPERLY FUNCTIONING AND ENGAGED. THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO ANY MOVEMENT FROM ON THE FOOT PEDAL TO THE ENGINE IN ANY GEAR, INCLUDING NEUTRAL AND PARK. AGAIN, THE ENGINE IDLED SMOOTHLY, THE TRANSMISSION ENGAGED PROPERLY WHEN SHIFTED FROM PARK TO DRIVE, ETC. THE THROTTLE RESPONSE RETURNED AFTER THE ENGINE WAS COMPLETELY TURNED OFF THEN TURNED BACK ON. THE 2014 VERSA HAS FLY- BY- WIRE THROTTLE, SO DIRECT LINKAGE IS NOT BROKEN, THIS SUGGESTS EITHER A SOFTWARE MALFUNCTION OR AN INTERMITTENT APP SENSOR. THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP WHEN ENGINE IS SHUT OFF. WHEN I PLACE THEY KEY INTO THE IGNITION, THE STEERING WHEEL REMAINS LOCKED, PREVENTING THE SWITCH TO TURN. I have been taking my car to nissan since my purchase. I was having cooling issues, radiator issues, and car not starting. with all these issues and years of repairs..my CVT transmission finally went out. I had no clue as they were fixing and servicing this car. I call nissan affairs dept as i had to pay $5050.00 to replace it out of my pocket! Nissan states out of warranty 5 months ago!!. I inquired to why i was NEVER contacted about transmission issues and problems or the opportunity to be included in the civil action with this vehicle. They CLAIMED they had the old owners information which is a LIE as i have received prior documentation for warranty notifications in my name! excuse after excuse to not help me. that got me good with the 5050.00 for an ongoing issue for this vehicle. NISSAN does not help at all!

Regarding my 2014 Nissan Versa Note, with "continuous variable (cone shaped) transmission": I first noticed the transmission issue beginning October of 2020. When accelerating quickly, it feels like the transmission FREEZES, so I back off the accelerator and it usually kicks back into gear. When my husband first experienced it, he told me to shift to neutral and back to drive which seems to work; however being on a public thoroughfare and manually shifting gears to keep moving forward seems like a MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. I have read several posts regarding this same issue. MY QUESTION IS: Why hasn't this American/Japanese automobile conglomerate addressed this SAFETY ISSUE WITH A TRANSMISSION RECALL?

WHILE DRIVING MY NISSAN VERSA I NEED TO LET IT WARM UP COMPLETELY. WHEN I SAY COMPLETELY I MEAN WAIT ABOUT 10-15 MIN BEFORE DRIVING OFF. IF I DO NOT MY CAR WILL STALL WHEN I PRESS THE BREAKS. THEY DID NOT FIX IT, NOR DO I THINK THEY EVEN LOOKED AT IT. MY CAR STALLS, SLIPS, GRINDS AND VIBRATES EVERY TIME I GAS IT. THERE HAVE BEEN A HANDFUL OF OTHER TIMES MY CAR HAS STALLED OUT AND DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY STREET, WHILE DRIVING. I'VE HAD MY CAR FOR THREE YEARS AND I'VE BEEN TO MY DEALERSHIP MANY TIMES DURING WARRANTY AND AFTER WARRANTY FOR THIS ISSUE AND EACH TIME THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. THERE WAS EVEN A RECALL FOR MY TRANSMISSION, IN WHICH I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES FOR IT, AND IT STILL HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED MONTHS AFTER I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE. I'VE TRIED LOOKING THIS RECALL UP, AND I CANNOT FIND IT. PERHAPS THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED WHEN IT HAS NOT. I WAS DRIVING IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC AND AS I STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT IN THE LEFT TURN LANE, THE ENGINE CUT OFF COMPLETELY AND WOULD NOT START. I WENT TO PICK UP MY DAUGHTER FROM DAYCARE ON DAY IN DECEMBER 2017. I STOPPED AT A STOPLIGHT AND WHEN IT TURNED GREEN I WENT TO ACCELERATE AND MY CAR WOULD BARELY CREEP, I BARELY MADE IT THROUGH A TURN LIGHT AND CLOSE TO GETTING HIT. I COULD BARELY GET UP TO 15MPH. I ENDED UP TAKING IT TO A SHOP AND WAS TOLD A PULLEY BROKE ON THE TRANSMISSION! IT SUPPOSEDLY CAUSED SHRAPNEL TO SHOOT INTO THE TRANSMISSION AND TOLD COULD OF GOTTEN INTO THE MOTOR! SO I WAS TOLD $4000 FOR A REBUILT TRANSMISSION. THE SHOP PUT ME THROUGH THE RINGER! THEY TOLD ME IT WAS FIXED AND IT WASN'T!! IT WAS NOT SHIFTING RIGHT! I TOOK THE CAR ON 8/11/15 TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPROGRAMMED THE ECM, BUT DID NOT SAY THAT WOULD PERMANENTLY FIX THE ISSUE. I BOUGHT THIS CAR ON 02/14/2014 AND YESTERDAY WAS THE FORTH TIRE TO GO FLAT ALL FOUR HAVE BEEN ON THE BACK DRIVER SIDE. THAT WAS FINALLY COMPLETED APPROX. 2 WEEKS AGO. BY A NISSAN DEALER. HOWEVER, IT STATED ON THE WORK ORDER. THEY DID IT THE BEST WAY- THEY COULD. LAST NIGHT, 8/4/2015, I USED THE SEAT BELT AND IT WAS LOOSE WHEN I PUT IT ON AND NEVER GOT ANY TIGHTER, EVEN IF I TRIED TO MOVE AROUND THE FRONT SEAT. WITH OR WITHOUT BRAKES IT NEVER TIGHTENS UP IF I MAKE A SUDDEN STOP.. I HAVE OTHER PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR, BUT THIS IS DANGEROUS TO ME. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND THEY REFUSED TO WORK ON IT-ORDERS FROM ABOVE. MY BRAKES ACT CRAZY SINCE THEY DID THAT RECALL SYSTEM AND NOW THIS(PLUS MY OTHER PROBLEMS). SEAT BELTS ARE A MUST IN MY CAR. IN JUNE, 2017, MY 2014 NISSAN VERSA JERKED AND THE ENGINE DIED WITH NO WARNING WHILE THE CAR WAS IN DRIVE. I HAD BEEN IDLING IN PARK WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING ON FOR APPROXIMATELY 5 MINUTES PRIOR TO THIS OCCURRING. THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE WAS BETWEEN 112-115 DEGREES IN LAS VEGAS, NV. Over the past 4 years I have delt with my 2014 Nissan Versa Note SV constantly stalling in the middle of the road. I have replaced the transmission, TCM, and brake light wiring harness. I have had the Nissan dealership assess my vehicle three different times for 3+ days. They have completed wiring diagnostics and determined that the brake light wiring harness is getting water into the wiring causing a short and blowing the #49 fuse under the hood that also operates the transmission CVT/TCM. Their solution was to replace the wiring harness. This was completed last week. It rained again the last couple days off and on. The fuse has blown again. This causes the vehicle to stall in the middle of the road. There is no advanced warning or messages that appear. The check engine light does not come on either. It is way too hot out for my new baby for the vehicle to stall and not be able to run. Cars begin honking and swerving around my vehicle. The vehicle has to be pushed out of the road. Fuse after fuse has been replaced. New light bulbs. New wiring harness and still the same outcome. Please help.

We bought a Nissan Versa Note 2014 in March of 2023. It currently has 74K miles. The transmission is shot. It doesn't want to shift, and revs up to high rpm's. We have had two mechanics check on it. Up to $7,000 to get fixed. The second issue is the steering. The steering gear has gone out. It makes a clicking noise when turning. This is so bad the mechanic said not to drive the car anymore. $1100 to fix. We now need to pay as much to fix the car as we owe on it.

The second incident was after I took it in to Nissan. They said it was fixed, and two days after I picked it up, the car shut off on me as I was leaving a gas station, and the check engine light is back on.

MY 2014 NISSAN VERSA HAS A CVT TRANSMISSION THAT FAILED AT 54,000 MILES. IT WAS REPLACED WITH A RE-MANUFACTURED CVT TRANSMISSION UNDER WARRANTY. AT 122,500, THE TRANSMISSION HAS FAILED AGAIN. IN ADDITION TO "SHUDDERING", THE CAR AT TIMES WILL FAIL TO ACCELERATE, CAUSING A POTENTIAL HAZARDOUS SITUATION TO MYSELF, PASSENGERS AND OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE CAR HAS FAILED TO ACCELERATE, AND I HAVE ALMOST BEEN "T-BONED" AT BUSY INTERSECTIONS. I BROUGHT MY CAR INTO THE NISSAN DEALER AND THEY CONFIRMED THAT MY TRANSMISSION WAS FAILING, CAUSING THE LACK OF ACCELERATION. I HAVE PHONED, EMAILED, AND WRITTEN TO NISSAN NORTH AMERICA (CERTIFIED MAIL) WARNING THEM ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND THEIR RESPONSE WAS THAT MY CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY NOW AND THERE'S NOTHING THEY WILL DO ABOUT IT. I SPOKE DIRECTLY WITH MARKITA SCOTT, ARBITRATION SPECIALIST (615-725-7884). I MENTIONED TO HER THE PROBLEMS I WAS HAVING AND THAT THE CAR'S FAILING TRANSMISSION POSED A SAFETY HAZARD. HER REPLY WAS THE "THE CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT." SHE REPEATED THAT NUMEROUS TIMES AND SEEMED NOT TO CARE ABOUT THE SAFETY ASPECT OF DRIVING THIS CAR. STARTED THE VERSA AFTER BEING PARKED FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES AND WAS EXITING A SHOPPING CENTER. EXIT REQUIRES DRIVING UP A SIGNIFICANT INCLINE TO ACCESS BUSY THREE LANE ROAD. AT THE CREST OF THE HILL, DURING PAUSE WAITING FOR ACCESS POINT TO ENTER TRAFFIC, VERSA WOULD NOT MOVE EVEN WITH EXCELLERATOR DEPRESSED. TRIED SEVERAL TIMES AND VERSA INSTEAD ROLLED BACKWARDS, GAINING MOMENTUM WHILE GOING DOWN HILL BACKWARDS. BRAKES FAILED, PRESSED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND WOULD NOT STOP CAR UNTIL A CURB WAS HIT. LATER, EXITING THE SAME LOCATION AND CROSSED IN 2 LANES, THE VERSA RUNNING BUT THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT MOVE THE CAR. ZERO RPMS. CAR STOPPED DEAD IN ITS TRACKS AND WOULD NOT MOVE EVEN SHIFTING GEARS TRYING ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING TO GET OUT OF THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO MOVE THE CAR, THE VERSA DIED. WHILE TRAVELING OUT A COUNTRY ROAD, I WAS COMING UP TO A STOP SIGN AT THE BOTTOM OF A HILL. WHEN I MADE AN ATTEMPT TO STOP, I HAD NO BRAKES WHAT SO EVER. THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED NEW FROM THE CAR DEALER IN THE SPRING. WHEN TURNING ON THE AC PARTICLES CAME OUT OF THE AIR VENTS AND INTO MY EYES. I WEAR CONTACT LENSES AND IT TEMPORARILY BLINDED ME. LUCKILY, I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER WITHOUT INCIDENT AND GET THE PARTICLES OUT OF MY EYES. THE PARTICLES LOOKED LIKE GRASS SEEDS. SINCE THEN, I ALWAYS TURN ON MY BLOWER BEFORE MOVING TO CLEAR THE VENTS. I WENT TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE CAR DOES NOT COME EQUIPPED WITH A CABIN AIR FILTER, EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A PLACE FOR ONE TO BE INSTALLED. I CHECKED WITH NISSAN OF AMERICA AND THEY CONFIRMED WHAT THE DEALER SAID. I TOLD THEY CHEAPED OUT THE CAR AND THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE DEALER INSTALLED A CABIN AIR FILTER AT THE COST OF ~ $60.00. MY CONCERN IS THAT IF I HAD BEEN TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THIS INCIDENT COULD HAVE ENDED VERY BADLY AND POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A FATALITY. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND THAT NISSAN SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO EQUIP THEIR CARS WITH CABIN AIR FILTERS. STOPPED AT PARKING LOT BOOTH WHICH WAS PLACED WITHIN ONE FOOT OF SIDEWALK, PREVENTING STRAIGHTENING OF FRONT WHEELS, WHICH WERE TURNED TO THE LEFT FOLLOWING A LEFT TURN INTO THE LOT. THE WINDSHIELD WASHER NOZZLE DOES NOT REACH THE WINDSHIELD AT HIGH SPEEDS (30MPH+). THEY ONLY WORK GOOD WHEN STOPPED. THIS IS MY SECOND 2014 VERSA NOTE AND I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE FIRST ONE BUT NOT QUITE AS BAD AS THE NEWER ONE. I TALKED TO THE MAN AT THE DEALER AND HE SAID THAT IS THE WAY THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE. THERE IS NO WAY TO ADJUST THEM TO SPRAY HIGHER. I PUT SMALL METAL WASHERS UNDER THE FRONT OF THE SPRAYER NOZZLES ON THE FIRST ONE BUT THAT IS NOT WORKING FOR THE NEW ONE. I TRIED TWO WASHERS BUT THAT JUST LIFTS THE NOZZLE ASSEMBLY OUT OF THE HOUSING AND THE WASHERS FALL OUT. THIS WAS JUST A RENTAL VEHICLE, BUT THIS PROBLEM WAS SERIOUS ENOUGH THAT I FEEL IT NECESSARY TO REPORT. THERE IS A RECESSED WELL ABOVE THE ACCELERATOR THAT TRAPS YOUR FOOT. SEVERAL TIMES WHILE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE, I WOULD ATTEMPT TO PIVOT MY FOOT ON ITS HEEL OFF THE ACCELERATOR OVER TO THE BRAKE, ONLY TO FIND MY FOOT TRAPPED IN THE RECESSED SPACE ABOVE THE ACCELERATOR.
