TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 MAZDA 5. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE POWER STEERING MALFUNCTIONED AND THE STEERING VEERED TO THE LEFT. THE FAILURE ALMOST CAUSED A CRASH. IN ADDITION, THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT HAD TO EXERT EXCESSIVE FORCE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AND PULL THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED, THE POWER STEERING RETURNED TO NORMAL AND THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME. THE MANUFACTURER AND THE DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000.

AT ABOUT 0630HRS, 02-03-11, WHILE OPERATING A 2009 MAZDA, MAZDA5 TOURING. THE WEATHER WAS CLEAR AND THE ROADWAY, OKEECHOBEE BLVD., ROYAL PALM BEACH, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, WAS DRY, STRAIGHT AND LEVEL AND OF MACADAM CONSTRUCTION. TRAFFIC CONDITIONS WERE LIGHT TO MODERATE. THE PORTION OF THE ROADWAY BEING DRIVEN UPON WAS OF FOUR (4) LANES WITH A CENTER MEDIAN OF CONCRETE CURBING AND SOIL/LANDSCAPING WITH GRASS AND SHRUBS AND TREES AND THERE ARE LEFT/RIGHT TURN LANES IN ADDITION TO THE THROUGH ROADWAY. OKEECHOBEE BLVD. RUNS EAST AND WEST AND THE AREA IN WHICH THE INCIDENT OCCURRED IS A RESIDENTIAL AREA. WHILE DRIVING EASTBOUND ON OKEECHOBEE BLVD. IN THE INSIDE LANE OF TRAFFIC AT A SPEED OF ABOUT 35 (THIRTYFIVE) MPH AND APPROACHING THE INTERSECTION OF CRESTWOOD BLVD., THE CAR SUDDENLY BEGAN TO DRIFT TO THE LEFT, WITHOUT ANY INPUT FROM THE DRIVER, AND BEGAN ENTERING INTO THE LEFT TURN LANE OF OKEECHOBEE BLVD, AND ALL ATTEMPTS TO REGAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL OF THE CAR WERE THWARTED BY THE SUDDEN AND APPARENT TOTAL LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL, AS THE EFFORT TO TURN OR EVEN MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL CAUSED NO CHANGE IN DIRECTION AND WAS BEYOND THE PHYSICAL STRENGTH OF THE DRIVER, A 54 YOA, WHITE FEMALE IN GOOD HEALTH AND STRENGTH. AS THE CAR CONTINUED TRAVELING FURTHER LEFT INTO THE INTERSECTION AND WITH THE APPLICATION OF BRAKING, THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL AND RIGHT FRONT LOWER BUMPER AND CHASSIS STRUCK THE CURBING, TRAVELING ABOUT 5 (FIVE) FEET BEFORE THE CAR CAME TO A HALT IN THE WESTBOUND INSIDE LEFT TURN LANE OF OKEECHOBEE BLVD. WHILE DRIVING AT 70MPH ON US23 IN MICHIGAN, TPMS LOW PRESSURE TELLTALE ILLUMINATED. WITHIN 30 SECS, VEHICLE BEGAN TO PULL HARD TO THE LEFT. PULLED OFF THE SIDE OF THIS 4 LANE 70MPH HIGHWAY IN THE RAIN TO INVESTIGATE. LEFT FRONT TIRE COMPLETELY FLAT. NUT HOLDING THE TPMS SENSOR TO THE RIM WAS MISSING & HAD CORRODED, ALLOWING THE TPMS SENSOR TO FALL INSIDE TIRE CAVITY, RESULTING IN RAPID AIR LOSS. THREADS OF TPMS SENSOR EXHIBITED CORROSION. DROVE VEHICLE TO GMC DEALERSHIP IN MILAN MI WHICH CONFIRMED THE TPMS SENSOR NUT FAILURE DUE TO CORROSION. TIRE DESTROYED, RIM EDGE CHEWED UP. CONTACTED MAZDA USA AND THEY WOULD NOT OFFER ANY CONSIDERATION, STATING THAT THE 3 YEAR WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED 1 MONTH PRIOR, AND THAT CORROSION WAS NOT COVERED BEYOND 3 YEARS. I STATED THAT THIS ISN'T A COSMETIC RUST ISSUE, THAT THE CORROSION RESULTED IN A SAFETY CONCERN FOR ME AND MY FAMILY, BUT MAZDA WOULD NOT OFFER ANY RESOLUTION. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN DRIVEN DURING 3 MILD OHIO WINTERS; THERE IS NOT ANY SIGNS OF CORROSION ANYWHERE ELSE ON THE VEHICLE; I DRIVE THE CAR THRU AUTOMATIC CAR WASHES EVERY 3 WEEKS OR SO IN THE WINTER JUST TO WASH OFF ANY ROAD SALT. NO OTHER COMPONENT ON THE VEHICLE IS EXHIBITING CORROSION. HAD VEHICLE ON LIFT TO INSPECT THE UNDERBODY. IT DOES NOT SEEM TECHNICALLY SOUND THAT A VEHICLE COMPONENT SPECIFICALLY MANDATE BY NHTSA TO PREVENT TIRES FROM BEING RAN LOW IN INFLATION PRESSURE ON A VEHICLE SHOULD INSTEAD CAUSE MY TIRE TO RAPIDLY LOSE ALL AIR PRESSURE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 MAZDA MAZDA5 EQUIPPED WITH BRIDGESTONE POTENZA TIRES, SIZE: P205-50-R17 GO19GRID. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE TIRES WERE BEING INSPECTED, BLISTERS WERE LOCATED ON THE TIRES. THE TIRES WERE NOT REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000.

MY HUSBAND PURCHASED A BRAND NEW 2009 MAZDA5 AND IN FEBRUARY 10TH 2011, AS I WAS DRIVING MY TIRE LOST ALL AIR, THE VALVE HAD SNAPPED IN HALF. THE DEALER SAID I MUST HAVE HIT SOMETHING BUT I KNOW I DIDN'T, I WOULD HAVE FELT SOMETHING IF IT WAS STRONG ENOUGH TO BREAK THE VALVE, PLUS THERE WAS NOTHING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD CLOSE ENOUGH TO HIT THE CAR. THEY MADE ME PAY $150 TO REPLACE IT. IN MAY 29TH I WAS PUMPING AIR AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN ON A DIFFERENT TIRE. AT THIS TIME I HAD 37,200 MILES. I CALLED MAZDA AND THE REPRESENTATIVE SAID THAT THEY NEVER HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM AND IT WASN'T COVERED. I GOOGLE IT AND THERE ARE PLENTY OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME AND I EVEN SAW SOME REPORTS OF MAZDA KNOWING ABOUT FAULTY VALVES. I HAD ANOTHER ONE BREAK ON DECEMBER 15TH, THIS WAS #3. THIS IS BEYOND RIDICULOUS!!! THIS PRODUCT IS DEFINITELY DEFECTIVE. AT THIS POINT I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE ANOTHER ONE OF THESE VALVES PUT ON MY TIRES. MAZDA SHOULD RECALL THEM BEFORE SOMEONE DIES ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE TIRES GO FLAT BECAUSE OF THE VALVES. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE NEW FROM THE DEALER AND HAD EXTENDED WARRANTY ON IT, WHICH DID NOT COVER MY VALVES. THEY SAID I WAS PROBABLY PUSHING TOO HARD WHEN I WAS PUMPING AIR. ON DEC.8,2011, I WAS DRIVING EASTBOUND ON INTERSTATE HWY 167., THE REAR END OF THE VEHICLE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE HAD GONE FLAT. I WAS ABLE TO GET ON THE AUXILIARY ROAD WITHOUT GETTING INTO AN ACCIDENT. I INSPECTED THE TIRE AND COULD NOT FIND ANY HOLES. I USED A PORTABLE TIRE INFLATER AND DROVE APPROXIMATELY 1/4 MILE TO A TIRE REPAIR STATION. THE TIRE WAS REMOVED AND UPON CLOSER INSPECTION, IT WAS REVEALED THAT THE ENTIRE INNER SIDE OF THE TIRE HAD BEEN WORN OFF. THE MECHANIC CHECKED THE OTHER TIRES AND SHOWED ME THAT THE SAME TYPE OF WEAR WAS EVENT ON THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE TIRE. IT WAS THEN THAT THE MECHANIC INFORMED ME THAT THIS WAS COMMON IN MAZDAS' AND THAT A SIMPLE PART HAS BEEN USED ON MAZDA5S' TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. I TAKE MY VEHICLE FOR REGULAR CHECKUPS AND FLUID CHANGES EVERY FOUR MONTHS. YET NOT ONCE WAS I EVER TOLD OF THIS POTENTIAL DANGEROUS HAZARD, THAT COULD HAVE BEEN FATAL HAD IT OCCURRED ON AN OPEN HIGHWAY, WHERE THERE ARE NUMEROUS TURNS ON STRETCHES OF ROAD THAT LOCATED ON CURVES AND ARE WELL OVER 200 FEET ABOVE GROUND. KEPT HEARING A RATTLING NOISE COMING FROM REAR DRIVER'S SIDE, TOOK THE CAR IN TWO TIMES B/C OF THIS. TURNED OUT TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE REAR SEAT RUBBER BUSHING WHICH IS REQUIRING THE DEALER TO GRIND THE ARCH WELD ON THE SPRING COIL. THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN ABOUT THIS VERY PROBLEM, WHICH INDICATED THAT THEY HAVE REDESIGNED THE PARTS IN NEWER MODELS SO THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A DESIGN PROBLEM FOR WHICH I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR AND THAT IT IS NOT DUE TO NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE CAR. LOUD CLUNKING NOISE IN LEFT/FRONT OVER UNEVEN SURFACE. WORSE DURING COLD WEATHER. CHECKED BY INDEPENDENT DEALER THEN BY MAZDA DEALERSHIP. TOLD SWAY BAR BUSHINGS WERE THE PROBLEM. I PURCHASED A USED 2009 MAZDA5 KNOWING THAT IT NEEDED TIRES. AFTER BUYING NEW TIRES I HAD THE CAR ALIGNED. I WAS TOLD THE ALIGNMENT WAS "WITHIN SPEC" DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE REAR CAMBER WAS SET IN SUCH A MANNER THAT THE TIRES SHOP SAID I'D BE LUCKY TO GET 15,000 MILES OUT OF MY NEW TIRES. I WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO ADJUSTMENT FOR REAR CAMBER WITHOUT BUYING A $600 CAMBER KIT. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, ASSUMING THEY HAD MORE EXPERIENCE WITH THE CAR, BUT WAS TOLD THE SAME THING. IN ORDER TO PROPERLY ALIGN THE CAR I WOULD HAVE TO BUY AN AFTERMARKET KIT. I BELIEVE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE WITH THE EXTREME AND UNADJUSTABLE NEGATIVE CAMBER TIRES CAN WEAR DOWN TO THE CORD ON THE INSIDE EDGE WHILE LOOKING NEARLY NEW ON THE OUTER EDGE. ALL THIS HAPPENS RATHER QUICKLY WHILE THE CAR IS TECHNICALLY WITHIN THE RATHER WIDE SPECIFICATION SET BY MAZDA. MAZDA CUSTOMER SERVICE DENIES ANY KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM DESPITE HUNDREDS, IF NOT THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE CLAIMING TO HAVE BROUGHT IT TO THEIR ATTENTION. MAZDA REFUSED TO REPLACE RIGHT REAR SHOCK ON MARCH 23, 2012 DUE TO NO VISIBLE FAILURE AT THIS TIME. MAZDA WOULD NOT REPLACE RIGHT REAR SHOCK UNLESS I PAID FOR IT ON SEPTEMBER 20, 2012 DUE TO LAPSE OF WARRANTY. Intermittently, the doors will not unlock when inside the vehicle, effectively trapping the occupants inside. Additionally, the locks will fail to lock or lock with either the key or the remote fob. trapping occupants inside or prohibiting someone on the outside from getting in to retrieve children inside.

WHILE DRIVING THE CAR (APPROXIMATELY 35 MILES PER HOUR) THERE IS A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER, INCLUDING LOSS OF POWER STEERING. CAR WOULD NOT RESTART. WE REPLACED ALTERNATOR AND HAD BATTERY CHECKED, WHICH WAS WORKING FINE WHEN THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT 45 MPH. PROBLEM IS RECURRING. CAR IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE.

THE ALARM KEEPS GOING OFF FOR NO REASON. I HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR LONG TIME. I TURN IT OFF AND IT WILL GO OFF AGAIN, THIS IS ALMOST DAILY.

IN THIS CASE I LEFT MY LIGHTS ON CAUSING THE BATTERY TO RUN DOWN. THE PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR IS WHEN THERE IS NO POWER IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN THE REAR SLIDING DOORS OR TAILGATE. ONLY THE DRIVER'S DOOR OPENS WITH A KEY AND YOU CANNOT OPEN THE REAR DOORS FROM THE INSIDE WITHOUT POWER. IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT THAT DISABLES THE POWER SYSTEM THESE DOORS CANNOT BE OPENED AND PASSENGERS (ESPECIALLY CHILDREN WHO ARE IN SAFETY SEATS) CAN BE TRAPPED. THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR ILLUMINATED AND I CHECKED TO SEE IF THE TIRE WAS FLAT. IT WAS NOT. I DROVE TO A FILLING STATION TO TOP OFF THE PRESSURE AND AS I WAS DRIVING AWAY FROM THE AIR PUMP THE VALVE STEM TO THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE BROKE AND THE TIRE DEFLATED INSTANTLY. THE VALVE STEM WAS CORRODED. APPARENTLY IT WAS INITIALLY CRACKED SLIGHTLY CAUSING THE TIRE TO FIRST LOSE AIR SLOWLY. THEN, UPON MANIPULATION FROM THE PUMP FITTING, THE STEM WAS FURTHER DAMAGED CAUSING THE STEM TO BREAK OFF. I DID HAVE THIS HAPPEN ONCE BEFORE. THE EXPLANATION FROM A SERVICE STATION WAS THE SAME. IN THIS MODEL THE VALVE STEM AND PRESSURE SENSOR IS A SINGLE ASSEMBLY SO WHEN THE TIRE IS CHANGED THE VALVE STEM IS NOT CHANGED EVEN IF IT IS OLD AND SHOWING SIGNS OF AGING. OTHERWISE THE COST OF REPLACING A TIRE WOULD BE NEARLY DOUBLED. THE SENSOR ITSELF WILL LAST MUCH LONGER THAN ITS VALVE STEM. CONSEQUENTLY, THE STEMS DO EVENTUALLY CORRODE AND BREAK OFF AT INCONVENIENT, POSSIBLY DANGEROUS, TIMES. THE SERVICE STATIONS SAY THIS IS COMMON FOR THIS VINTAGE OF MAZDA. THE SERVICE REP SAID MINE WAS THE SECOND THEY REPAIRED ON THE VERY SAME DAY! AS I SAID, THIS HAPPENED ONCE BEFORE WHEN A STEM BROKE OFF AS I WAS BACKING OUT OF MY HOME PARKING SPOT. A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE THE THIS REPORTED EVENT, I TOOK A LONG ROAD TRIP AND A SUDDEN DEFLATION LIKE THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED AT HIGHWAY SPEED. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN TRAGIC! TPMS SENSOR-VALVE SLOW LEAK: FOUR NEW TIRES (PIRELLI P6 FOUR SEASONS) INSTALLED AT MAZDA DEALER ON JAN 2011. THE ORIGINAL TPMS SENSOR-VALVES WHERE USED ON THE NEW TIRES. AFTER THAT THE TPMS WARNING LIGHT WOULD GO ON EVERY COUPLE OF WEEKS. I WOULD CHECK THE PRESSURE IN ALL THE TIRES USING A DIGITAL GAUGE WHICH SHOWED SLIGHTLY LOW PRESSURE (HIGH 20?S PSI) IN ONE TIRE, THE SAME TIRE EACH TIME. I WOULD INFLATE THE TIRE TO THE CORRECT PRESSURE. ONE REASON I AM REPORTING THIS IS THAT THERE IS A WELL-DOCUMENTED HISTORY OF TPMS SENSOR VALVES BREAKING EASILY WHEN PUTTING AIR IN THE TIRE. TPMS SENSOR-VALVE FAILURE: I WAS DRIVING TO WORK GOING ABOUT 40 MPH WHEN TPMS LIGHT WENT ON. I COULD NOT PULL OFF IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE OF ROAD CONDITIONS. SHORTLY AFTER THAT I COULD HEAR THE SOUND OF A VERY FLAT TIRE. WHEN I MANAGED TO PULL OFF AND CHECK THE TIRES, ONE WAS COMPLETELY FLAT. TIRE WAS TOO DAMAGED TO RE-INFLATE. SLIDING PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT LATCH. WILL OPEN WHILE DRIVING.

I WAS HEADING TO WORK, I CANNOT OPEN SLIDING DOOR TO GET MY DAUGHTER INTO HER SEAT. HAVE TO GET HER IN ON THE DRIVER'S DOOR AND HAVE TO REACH SO FAR AND BEND TO GET HER BUCKLED IN. WHEN I DROVE OFF, THE DOOR SIGNAL ON THE PANEL IS WARNING THAT A DOOR IS OPEN. TO AVOID ANY ACCIDENTS, I STOP AND RECHECK DOORS THAT CAN OPEN, EVERYTHING IS SHUT BUT THE SIGNAL STILL STATES IT'S OPEN. I CANNOT CHECK DAUGHTER'S SLIDING DOOR BECAUSE IT IS STILL STUCK....CANNOT OPEN NOR SHUT IT. I DROVE SLOWER JUST TO MAKE SURE IT WILL NOT SUDDENLY OPEN UP, THAT WILL BE HORRIFYING EVENT - FOR DEBRIS COMING IN, HITTING MY DAUGHTER OR EVEN MY DAUGHTER'S RESTRAIN SYSTEM FAILING AND FOR MY DAUGHTER TO BE THROWN OUT. WHEN THE WEATHER WARMS UP, THE SLIDING DOOR WORKS AGAIN. IT'S INTERMITTENT AND USUALLY WHEN TEMPERATURE DROPS. THE 2 SIDE SLIDING DOORS, GETS STUCK EITHER AT SAME TIME OR AT TIMES JUST ONE SIDE. RIGHT NOW IT'S WARMER, IT'S OK BUT YET CANNOT BRING IT TO HAVE IT CHECK. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I GOT THE CAR FROM AND TOM AT SERVICE, IS IN A HURRY AND I JUST HAVE TO LET HIM GO. I DID CHECK THE INTERNET, AND THERE'S ACTUAL SAFETY RECALL FOR MAZDA 5 SLIDING DOORS FREEZING UP, BUT FOR 2006 (RECALL NUMBER 4306K). IT IS STILL HAPPENING EVEN FOR 2009 MODEL, LIKE OURS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 MAZDA 5. WHILE THE CONTACT'S SON WAS DRIVING 45 MPH, THE DRIVER HEARD A GRINDING AND CLUNKING NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MOTOR MOUNTS FAILED AND SHIFTED THE ENGINE FORWARD, WHICH CAUSED THE CV JOINTS AND ENGINE HEAD TO FAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR INSPECTION WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A BOLT ON THE OIL ENGINE COOLER WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000.

I HAVE HAD 2 TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING VALVES BREAK INTO 2 PARTS EACH IN THE PAST 4 MONTHS. THE LATEST WAS WHEN I WAS DRIVING TODAY ON CITY STREETS. THE TIRE PRESSURE ALARM WENT OFF SO I STOPPED THE CAR TO CHECK THE TIRES. WHEN I TOUCHED ONE OF THE VALVES IT JUST CAME APART IN MY HAND AND I WAS HOLDING PART OF THE VALVE, THE REST OF IT WAS STILL IN THE TIRE. THE TIRE THEN COMPLETELY DEFLATED IN ABOUT 2 SECONDS. THIS COULD BE EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS. IF YOU LOST ALL TIRE PRESSURE IN A FEW SECONDS AT 65 MPH YOU COULD EASILY LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR AND GET IN AN ACCIDENT. I NO LONGER TRUST THE 2 VALVES THAT HAVE YET TO BREAK SO I AM GOING TO BE PROACTIVE AND REPLACE THEM BEFORE THEY DO BREAK AT AN INOPPORTUNE TIME. I SEE A LOT OF OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET. I INCLUDED A PICTURE OF THE PIECE OF THE VALVE THAT BROKE OFF INTO MY HAND.

THE AIR BAG LIGHT ON CONTROL PANEL IS FLASHING WHEN I START THE ENGINE AFTER A WORKING DAY. NO RHYME OR REASON AT ALL. THERE IS NO ANY IMPACTION FROM OUTSIDE AND/OR GOING OVER BUMPERS. IT COMES IN AND OUT IN THE FIRST DAY AND TWO, AND THEN IT'S STAYED ON AND FLASHED THE CODE 19, WHICH ACCORDING TO THE MANUAL MEANS RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE - MEMORY FULL. SO I TOOK IT TO MAZDA DEALERSHIP AND DIAGNOSED THE ISSUE AT MY EXPENSE. ACCORDING TO THE DEALER REPORT, THEY CANNOT RESET THE COMPUTER MODULE SUCH AS CLEAN MEMORY; INSTEAD, I AM ASKED TO REPLACE THE CLOCK SPRING FOR FIX THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG. HOWEVER, IN THE MEANTIME, ALL THE CONTROLS ON THE STEERING ARE WORKING PERFECTLY, HORN/CRUSE CONTROL/ VOLUME CONTROL FOR THE STEREO.

I WAS BACKING UP FROM A PARKING SLOT IN A NEIGHBORHOOD SHOPPING CENTER, WHEN THE AIR BAG ON THE STEERING WHEEL JUST EXPLODED, AND I WAS PINNED TO MY SEAT. I PUSHED ON THE BAG AND IT STARTED TO DEFLATE. MY SEATBELT WHICH HAD LOCKED ME INTO THE SEAT, MOVED ENOUGH TO ALLOW ME TO DISLODGE IT. WHEN I GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND INSPECTED THE CAR. THE ONLY THING I FOUND WAS A SCRAPE MARK UNDERNEATH THE CENTER OF THE FRONT BUMPER. LOCATED IN THE PARKING SLOT WAS A CONCRETE BARRIER SITUATED IN THE FRONT OF THE PARKING SLOT.
