The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Versa. The contact stated that while attempting to accelerate from a complete stop at a traffic light, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle, and the vehicle responded as needed. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to drive back to the residence, where the vehicle stalled. The vehicle failed to restart and was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the CVT transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the repair could not be covered because the vehicle was not previously serviced at the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000.

The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at undisclosed speeds, the vehicle lost motive power, and started jerking while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that the RPM needled was fluctuating erratically. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 84,000.

My vehicle was jumping when accelerating. It then went into limp mode to protect the engine due to code NTB17-034g. The mechanic stated this code is coming up and is a safety issue. The car is not accelerating as normal, car is jumping and will go into limp mode randomly.

Since buying car used last summer ive have numerous scares for the car stalling jerking and shutting off while driving or slowing down and taking off. I drove over train tracks on my way home and the car jerked stalled and died luckily i made it over the tracks and there was no train. Had a mechanic look at it and said the Cvt transmission more than likely blame for this problem. After researching more this particular make model and year had numerous of the same complaints and saftey is my main concern here. Thanks

After arriving home, I stopped in my driveway and waited for the front passenger to exit. The vehicle was still running and may not have been in park. Immediately after the passenger exited and closed the door, the passenger curtain airbag and passenger seat airbag deployed unexpectedly. The vehicle was stationary and had not been involved in any collision. This sudden deployment posed a serious safety risk — anyone still inside or near the vehicle could have been injured. I brought the vehicle to a Nissan dealership, where technicians scanned the airbag system. I am awaiting additional diagnostic results or a written report. The manufacturer has indicated the situation is considered “out of warranty,” though I believe it represents a safety defect. The issue has not been reproduced or confirmed as a known defect by the dealer or manufacturer. There were no warning lights, error messages, or other symptoms prior to the deployment. The failure occurred immediately after the passenger closed the door, with no prior indication of any malfunction. The airbags and related components remain available for inspection.

The airbag warning light has come on and is flashing.Brought it in twice for it was in diagnosis mode the first time. History mode second time and two days later it is on again and flashing that is three times in one month! Nissan needs to have this problem fixed!

My Check Airbag light came on without any incident and has stayed on since January, 2025. I took it to a Nissan dealer and they told me they would charge me $4,000.00 to see if it could be fixed. Charged me $209.96 just to look at the car. Their report said AIRBAG SIDE MODULE LH FAULTY. I am very uneasy now driving around not knowing if my airbag will deploy if ever needed. It is now July, 2025 and I cannot afford putting out this kind of money for the airbag light. I am a [XXX] over [XXX]. Can anyone help? Just got the car from someone, and the air bag light comes up and stays on all the time the engine starts, trying all the ways to reset the light and not working, I found online that many same car owners has the same problem and there is no recall from the manufacturer, Nissan cars has a lot of air bags problems., my car has no collision and has only 62000 miles. Going to a dealer to ask about the price to fix and was told about more than a thousand dollars and not guaranteered'

LOST CONSCIOUSNESS DUE TO PREVIOUSLY UNDIAGNOSED MEDICAL ISSUE, CAR WAS IN 2ND GEAR AND HIT TELEPHONE POLE. CAR WAS TOTALED AND I WAS INJURED FROM THE IMPACT, AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I WAS PRESUMABLY GOING AS FAST AS POSSIBLE IN 2ND GEAR AS MY FOOT WAS ON THE PEDAL WHEN I LOST CONSCIOUSNESS.

I own a 2016 Nissan Versa, and the air conditioning system has completely failed due to what I’ve been told is an evaporator core issue. After researching, I’ve found that this is a very common problem among Versa owners across multiple model years. The failure causes extreme heat in the cabin, especially in summer months, and creates a serious distraction and discomfort while driving. It becomes physically exhausting and mentally draining, even leading to dizziness or loss of focus — which I believe is a potential safety hazard. Nissan has not issued a recall or acknowledged the issue, despite the large number of owners reporting the same problem. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate this as a potential pattern of manufacturer defect. The heat exposure is more than an inconvenience — it’s a daily health and safety risk. PLEASE look into this!!!!!

I own a 2016 Nissan Versa, and the air conditioning system has completely failed, making the car almost unbearable to drive in the Florida heat. I have already spent over $1,000 trying to fix the issue — including replacing multiple A/C components — and the air still doesn’t work. A mechanic told me the evaporator core needs to be replaced, but that repair alone is too expensive for me right now. Driving this car in extreme heat has made me physically miserable and mentally drained. I sweat constantly, feel dizzy, and can’t think straight while on the road. I’ve even started losing things and forgetting where I put things because I’m so overheated and foggy. I have to dress half-naked just to survive the drive, and it’s humiliating. I’ve noticed that many other Nissan Versa owners report the same A/C failure, especially in similar model years, which tells me this is not just my car — it’s a pattern. I believe this is a manufacturer defect that Nissan is ignoring, and I respectfully ask that the NHTSA investigate this issue. My transmission gave out. My car stopped in the middle of the street as I was crossing to the next intersection and would not go. I had to have my car pushed to the curve until tow truck came. The car was towed to the dealership (nissan of mobile) the dealer confirmed the transmission was bad. No lights or warning came on prior just stopped and would not go. This was a very scary situation and I'm still devastated.

VEHICLE SHUTS OFF COMPLETELY WHILE IN MOTION REGARDLESS OF SPEED. I'VE HAD IT SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING 15MPH ON THE STREET AS WELL AS WHEN I'VE BEEN GOING 60+MPH ON THE HIGHWAY. BASED OFF OF OTHER FINDINGS AND LAWSUITS, I'VE BEGAN TO SUSPECT IT IS THE TRANSMISSION. I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP EACH TIME IT HAS HAPPENED, AND THEY'VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO GIVE ME AN ANSWER. I'VE GOTTEN MY WARRANTY EXTENDED BY THEM, BUT THAT'S IT.

THE NISSAN VERSA 2016 HAS A FAULTY BRAKE SYSTEM. I WAS IN MOTION DRIVING WITH ONGOING TRAFFIC I SAW THE TRAFFIC STOPPED I PRESSED THE BRAKES AND KEPT PRESSING BRAKES AND THE CAR DID NOT STOP. I COULD NOT GO LEFT OR RIGHT BECAUSE CARS WERE IN BOTH LANES. I HIT CAR IN FRONT. THE OFFICER VERIFIED THAT THE CAR WAS IN SPEED MOTION WITH NO SCREECHES OR MARK IN STREET. THE OFFICER STATED THAT MY CAR WAS IN NORMAL SPEED MOTION. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AND MY SISTER AND I WERE INJURED. THE CAR I HIT PASSENGERS WAS OK. THIS ACCIDENT WAS CAUSED BY BRAKE FAILURE. TURNS OUT THAT IF I HAD THE FAN GOING IT WAS SHUTTING OFF THE ENGINE. I TAKE IT TO SISK NISSAN AND THEY INSPECT, SAY FIRST THAT ITS THE CONDENSER AND AFTER THE PART IS ORDERED AND THE CAR TAKEN APART THEY SAY THAT THE WHOLE AC SYSTEM IS CONTAMINATED. THE COMPRESSOR HAD STOPPED WORKING. ONE WEEK WITHOUT AC AND ONE WEEK IN THE SHOP TO REPLACE THE WHOLE AC SYSTEM.

NO PREVIOUS ISSUES. P/S LIGHT APPEARED ON DASHBOARD SYSTEM INDICATING ISSUE WITH POWER STEERING. THE VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 33K MILES. DEALER STATES THAT STEERING MOTOR REQUIRES REPLACEMENT. HOWEVER, THEY ALSO STATE THAT NISSAN CORPORATE ALSO REQUIRES REPLACEMENT OF THE ENTIRE STEERING SYSTEM AS THE MOTOR IS NOT SOLD SEPARATELY. REPAIR ESTIMATED AT $4200 PLUS TAX.

Fuel gauge is always stuck to full. I have to rely on the gas pump to know that I have full tank of gas. Luckily I only drive it for short distances. It will not be safe to drive interstate.

I HAVE HAD A RECURRING PROBLEM WITH THE CAR WHEN FILLING IT WITH GASOLINE. THE GAS NOZZLE HAS BEEN EJECTED FROM THE CAR DURING FILLING. TYPICALLY THE GASOLINE PUMP WILL STOP DISPENSING GASOLINE WHEN THE NOZZLE IS EJECTED. HOWEVER, THERE WAS ONE INCIDENT WHEN THE NOZZLE CONTINUED DISPENSING GASOLINE WHILE THE NOZZLE WAS LAYING ON THE GROUND. I HAD TO QUICKLY PICK UP THE NOZZLE AND TURN IT OFF. THIS PROBLEM DOES NOT OCCUR EVERY TIME I FILL THE CAR WITH GASOLINE, BUT I FEEL THAT THERE IS A RECURRING ISSUES HERE AND IT SHOULD BE RESOLVED BECAUSE OF THE RISK AND HAZARDS ASSOCIATED WITH SPILLED GASOLINE.

AC Compressor is locked that cause belt broken and pulley is not working that AC Condenser had to be fixed Power Train Catalyst issues Exhaust leaking at manifold and catalyst too exhaust as Exhaust connections. Oxygen sensors too slow to respond. Need to repair sensors with exhaust.

The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Versa. The contact stated upon noticing that the glass of the rear passenger side brake light bulb was dark, he disassembled the part and he discovered that the plate, the brake light system, and circuit were severely corroded, and water had leaked inside the housing. There were no warning lights illuminated. The dealer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to take vehicle to their location for diagnostic testing however, he would be responsible for the cost of diagnostic test. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 6,500.

I RENTED A NISSAN VERSA AND WAS DRIVING AT DUSK. I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT I HAD NOT TURNED ON THE DRIVING LIGHTS UNTIL IT WAS QUITE DARK. THE PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE OFF, THE INTERIOR LIGHTS LOOK LIKE YOU WOULD EXPECT WITH THE LIGHTS ON... I.E., THE INTERIOR IS FULLY LIT UP. THE DRIVING INSTRUMENTS ARE LIT UP. EVERYTHING LOOKS NORMAL FOR NIGHTTIME DRIVING.... EXCEPT THAT WHEN I PULLED OVER, I SEE THAT THE EXTERIOR HAS NO LIGHTS ON WHATSOEVER. TO BE CLEAR, THE LIGHTS WERE WORKING FINE. IF YOU TURN THEM ON, THEY COME ON. BUT IT'S VERY DANGEROUS THAT THE CAR SOMEHOW ALWAYS HAS THE INTERIOR LIGHTED, OR PERHAPS IT HAPPENS WITH A LIGHT SENSOR, LEADING YOU TO NOT REALIZE YOU HAVE NOT TURNED ON THE EXTERIOR LIGHTS.

WHILE ON ROBERTS RD. AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT (WAITING FOR RIGHT AWAY) CAR SEEMED FINE, BUT ONCE I APPLIED THE GAS TO CROSS THE INTERSECTION ON A GREEN LIGHT. NOTHING HAPPENED. ALL THE DUMMY LIGHTS CAME ON, RADIO AND HEAT WAS STILL WORKING BUT CAR SHUT DOWN AT RUSH HOUR. I COULD NOT MOVE. I CALLED FOR THE POLICE TO HELP THEN HAD IT TOWED TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP. I LATER FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN SENT TO DEALERS ABOUT THIS ISSUE OF CARS STALLING. WHY WAS I NOT MADE AWARE AND SOLD A LEMON. MY VECHICLE STARTE TO CUT OUT ON ME AFTER 37000 MILES. I WAS DRIVING FROM JURY DUTY IN THE AFTERNOON IN TRAFFIC AND IT JUST STALLED OUT ON ME. THE ENGINE CUT OFF. I WAS ABLE TO CRANK IT AGAIN AND MOVED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. I WAITED 45 MINUTES. I DID NOT TURN THE AIR CONDITION ON. IT CRANKED AND I WENT HOME. A WEEK LATER IT DID THE SAME THING BUT IT WOULD NOT CRANK AGAIN. I HAD TO GET IT TOWED TO A MECHANIC SHOP. HE SAID IT WAS THE COMPRESSOR. HE REPLACED THE COMPRESSOR AND I PICKED IT UP AGAIN AND IN A FEW DAYS LATER IT CUT OFF ON ME AND MY FAMILY AGAIN. WE TOOK IT BACK TO THE SAME MECHANIC AND HE SAID IT WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE ELECTRICAL BOX. HE REPLACED IT AND IT WAS RUNNING AGAIN.HOWEVER IN 2 DAYS IT TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING AGAIN.THIS IS A RELATIVELY NEW VEHICLE. IT ONLY HAS 38K MILES ON IT. NOW IT WILL NOT DRIVE. I AM STUCK WITH A CAR NOTE AND NO CAR TO DRIVE.

When the evaporator core fails, the air conditioning system cannot effectively dehumidify the air inside the cabin. This excess moisture leads to rapid fogging and clouding of the windows, severely impairing driver visibility. Reduced visibility directly increases the risk of accidents, creating a hazardous driving environment. What’s even more troubling is that I’ve found I am not alone in this. Numerous Nissan Versa owners have posted online about experiencing the same A/C failure and evaporator core issues. This is not an isolated case. This is a pattern — and that makes it a manufacturing problem. A vehicle that cannot regulate its internal temperature in hot weather presents a real and immediate health risk. It should qualify as a safety defect under federal standards. Nissan must be held accountable, and the individuals responsible for the design, production, or approval of this flawed system must take responsibility. The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Versa. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH with the cruise control activated, the contact approached oncoming traffic and depressed the brake pedal; however, the vehicle continued to surge forward without warning. The contact deactivated the cruise control; however, the failure persisted. The contact was able to pull off to the shoulder of the highway and placed the vehicle in park(P) while the RPM's continued to surge. Upon restart of the vehicle, the RPMs became extremely elevated, and the contact immediately shut off the vehicle. The contact opened the hood and reset the throttle sensor; the contact then restarted the vehicle and drove the vehicle home without further issues. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 176,000.

"Leaking injectors causing cylinder wall wash, resulting in low compression." Per Nissan of Chattanooga East. Stated they have seen this before and can be a "common" malfunction. Puts others and self at risk of catastrophic engine malfunction and fuel injector malfunction. Car fire, an engine explosion, or simply breaking down in the middle of the interstate, "Repair" occurred and sent home, 2 times. Subsequent followup revealed critical malfunction and requirement to replace engine and necessary components.

Engine keeps losing oil level when no leaks found which causes transmission and engine to act making weird noises when gas pedal hit when driving car. Transmission is making weird noises like it is slipping when driving when gas pedal is pressed down. A settlement with Nissan was reached due to a class action lawsuit as car is having the issue as car pass 120000 mileage limit when issue started. Volume on internal bluetooth speaker is too low for people to hear when on phone calls with cell phone paired to car thru bluetooth as issue on two different phone models.

A while ago my airbag light began flashing, we reset it a few times and it would come back after a week or two sometimes longer, either a flashing or solid light, it felt almost random. No codes came up when we had it ran, and then we took it to the dealership for inspection. It is the back of my driver seat, the airbag for the driver side back seat. I don’t know what the qualified number of complaints is, but please at least look into this. The most complaints this car has is something to do with the airbags. I’ve also had a similar ac/belt problem that was mentioned by the guy from Texas. He said the ac compressor caused a belt failure, mine was the other way around, my belt was squeaking for a while, had it replaced- month later my ac compressor gave out due to the belt operating at full capacity for the first time in a long time. It is available for further inspection. An airbag is plainly a safety risk, not to mention the part is “on extreme back order”, which leads me to believe that this a bigger problem then what is being reported here. The problem was confirmed by the dealership It has only been inspected by the Nissan dealership As also stated above, there were warning lights about its failure. It’s late, I apologize but I’m not proof reading this. Please look into it, please, it’s a very expensive repair that I won’t be able to afford for a long time, and I’m concerned about my back passengers..

Vehicle was shuddering or hiccuping accelerating and decelerating on its own without any warning lights turning on. Warning light (MIL) only came on after total failure and car would not move forward at all.without any control of acceleration I was forced to let the vehicle roll down the hill I was on to coast it into a parking lot to be off the road, while traffic was behind me causing a potentially dangerous situation as it was on a short street so line of cars driving the wrong direction with traffic entering behind going the appropriate direction.

The car was parked over night and it was raining that night. The next day I went to move the car, started & warning lights went on. The windshield wiper water trough got clogged due to tree leafs falling in & the water overflow & entered the car by the air vent in to the car floor The 360-deg. Camera system module under the carpet, under the front passenger seat. It Drowned in rain water. Causing the car computers to Mel function. Drove it to a mechanic & that is when he told me that I need to replace the camera module & the air bag module. I was not able to go faster then 15 or 20 MPH in the HWAY & lost my left & right signal flashers. 1) Car MFG should put a leaf filter screen in the trough. 2) never put electronic computer under a carping. MFG are aware that water can go there. And it’s a water trap.

Car has had problems since day one when it was purchased for lack of power going up hills, and when changing lanes it shutters. Also since day one door latches have a problem working in cold weather.....Now at 46,ooo miles the right front passenger door does not want to open from outside, and sometimes will not open from inside, and the rear hatch will not open at all. The drivers door you have a 50/50 chance of it..may or may not open. This is a long term problem with Nissan cars and is a major safety problem if you cannot get out of a car. It is also problem that effects the safety of those who ride in Nissan Cars.....This has been a service bulletin and should be a major recall... It needs to be address...just look at the youtube video's its a common problems..

My vehicle stops running whenever I turn on heater or A/C. When either is turned on, dashboard lights up with four or five other lights like battery, P/S, Brake, Temp, and other. When A/C or heater is not turned on, then my car is running. It looks like my vehicle may be defective in some way. I bought it only last year and I don’t understand why this particular control for heater or A/C is causing the problems. I believe some parts may be sub-standard and they may will cause some problems one day.

UNKNOWN AT A STOP, WHEN THE A/C KICKS ON, I HEAR A VERY AUDIBLE RATTLING NOISE COMING FROM SOMEWHERE BETWEEN THE ENGINE AND THE TRANSMISSION. WHENEVER I AM STARTING OFF, FOR EXAMPLE, GOING DOWN MY STREET, I CAN HEAR A VERY AUDIBLE, YET DIFFERENT, RATTLING NOISE COMING FROM SOMEWHERE BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX. I THOUGHT THAT NOISE WAS SOMETHING I HAD IN THE GLOVE BOX, BUT I ALREADY TRIED EMPTYING ALL OF THE COMPARTMENTS AND DRIVING AND IT STILL MADE THAT NOISE, WHICH TELL ME THAT IT MUST BE SOMETHING JUST BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX INSIDE THE DASH. THE ELECTROLUMINESCENT LIGHTS FOR THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ARE ALREADY BEGINNING TO FADE OUT IN SOME PLACES. THESE PROBLEMS BEGAN AT 12K, 15K, AND 17K MILES RESPECTIVELY. I HAVE MENTIONED THESE PROBLEMS AT 2 DIFFERENT NISSAN DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENTS 4 INDIVIDUAL TIMES AND THE ONLY RESPONSE I GET IS THAT IT WILL BE AROUND $250 TO CHECK AND SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS AND THAT THE WARRANTY PROBABLY WILL NOT COVER THE REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE HAS 33K MILES CURRENTLY AND I WILL BE TRYING ONE MORE TIME TO HAVE THE ISSUES RESOLVED AT THE 35K MILE SERVICE BEFORE THE WARRANTY EXPIRES AT 36K. I AM AFRAID THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS MAY GO OUT AT NIGHT AND I WON'T BE ABLE TO READ THE SPEEDOMETER. AS FAR AS THE RATTLING NOISES GO THAT I AND OTHERS ARE HEARING IS QUESTIONABLE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN VERSA. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE EMITTING FROM THE LOWER CORNER OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD FRACTURED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WAS NOT STRUCK BY ANY DEBRIS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE INSPECTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.

EVERYTHING TIME I STOP AND PARK THE CAR TO DO A SHORT ERRAND AND THEN AFTER GETTING BACK IN THE CAR, I PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND IT WON'T TURN. I HAVE TO WIGGLED THE KEY IN THE STEERING WHEEL FOR AT LEAST FIVE (5) MINUTES OR MORE. IT IS HAPPENING MORE FREQUENT AND OFTEN. I AM VERY CONCERNED.

BOUGHT THE 2016 VEHICLE OCTOBER 15, 2015. RIGHT AWAY NOTICED A PROBLEM WITH THE AUTOMATIC GEAR SHIFT NOT MOVING SMOOTHLY FROM GEAR TO GEAR. THE BRAKES GROANING/WHINING AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE LOOSENING. CAR DRIFTING/PULLING RIGHT ON HIGHWAYS AND LEFT ON STREETS. RATTLING FROM UNDER CAR CARRIAGE. POPPING AND SQUEAKING ON RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER DOOR. THE A/C STRAINING AND NOT COOLING CAR CABIN AS IT SHOULD AND THE A/C INTERIOR SWITCH NOT ENGAGING OR STAYING ENGAGED WHEN PUSHED. THUMPING/CLICKING SOUND HEARD WHEN BRAKING. AFTER NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS MADE THE DEALERSHIP VERIFIED ALL OF MY COMPLAINTS BUT NOT IN A TIMELY MANNER. FIRST COMPLAINT WAS ACKNOWLEDGED ON OCTOBER 28, 2015 BUT CLAIMED THERE WASN'T ANY ABNORMALITIES FOUND. ON DECEMBER 8, 2015, MARCH 16, 2016, APRIL 22, 2016, AUGUST 17, 2016 AND AUGUST 23, 2016 REPAIRS WERE REPEATEDLY MADE CONSISTING OF REPLACING GEAR SHIFT KNOB, ENTIRE GEAR SHIFT ASSEMBLY, SANDING ROTORS, REPLACING BRAKE PADS, REPLACING ENTIRE BRAKE ASSEMBLY AND TIGHTENING EMERGENCY BRAKE. BUT AS TO DATE PROBLEMS STILL EXIST. ON FEBRUARY 9, 2016 REPAIR TO THE SUSPENSION AND STEERING. ON APRIL 5, 2016 REPAIR TO LOWER REAR EXHAUST SHIELD REMOUNTED. ON MAY 31, 2016 DOOR CHECK STRAPS RE-SECURED. ON JUNE 23, 2016 FAULTY BMC SWITCH REPLACED BUT PROBLEM WITH A/C STILL NOT RESOLVED AND A SECOND PROBLEM HAS ARISEN. A/C TURNS ON WHEN DEFROSTER IS ENGAGED. ON SEPTEMBER 23, 2016 PROBLEM WITH BOTH FRONT INNER CV JOINTS AND AXLES ACKNOWLEDGED BUT PART ON BACK ORDER. REPAIRS MADE ON OCTOBER 27, 2016 IN ANOTHER STATE. PROBLEM NOT RESOLVED. SOUND STILL HEARD WHEN DRIVING OVER SPEED BUMPS, CRACKS OR SLIGHT BUMPS ON STREETS OR HIGHWAYS.

NISSAN VERSA, ALWAYS HAD ISSUES WITH GAS GAUGE FLUCTUATING. IGAUGE READ 79 MILES IN DRIVEWAY, I PULLED OUT OF DRIVEWAY INTO MAIN ROAD AND WENT ABOUT 25 FEET, HAS GAUGE STARTED FLASHING. TOLD GRANDSON I HAD TO GO TO GAS STATION BEFORE TAKING HIM TO SCHOOL. WE DROVE ABOUT 1/4 MILE AND HEARD POP UNDER HOOD, CAR JERKED REALLY HARD TO RIGHT. I HAD NO CONTROL AND HIT MAIL BOX, CAR KEPT MOVING FORWARD ALONG DITCH. FINALLY COME TO STOP WITH WINDSHIELD BUSTED AND FRONT BUMPER AND UNDERCARRIAGE BADLEY DAMAGED. AIR BAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY, POLICE WERE CALLED AND CAR WAS TOWED.

ON 7/13/2016----- MY PASSENGER AND I WERE TRAVELING ON CLEMSON ROAD WHERE THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT IS 45 MPH, ITS A FOUR LANE HIGHWAY WITH NO MEDIAN. A TRUCK DID A U TURN IN FRONT OF A LOT OF TRAFFIC MY VEHICLE STRUCK HIS AT ABOUT 40-43 MPH THOUGH ME AND MY PASSENGER HAD SEAT BELTS ON MY PASSENGER STILL MANAGED TO HIT HIS HEAD ON THE WINDSHIELD THROUGH THE AIRBAG. MY PASSENGER WAS 5'2 135 POUNDS SO THE SEAT BELT DID FIT PROPERLY AND WAS ALSO BEING WORN PROPERLY, WITH THE LAP BAND SNUG AGAINST HIP ONE AND SHOULDER STRAP FULLY ACROSS CHEST AND LATCH BUCKLED. MY PASSENGER WAS TOOK TO THE HOSPITAL AND WAS EXAMINED FOR INJURIES THAT MAY HAVE OCCURRED FROM THE HEAD TRAUMA OF HITTING THE WIND SHIELD.. WHY DIDN'T THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT KEEP MY PASSENGER FROM HITTING THE WINDSHIELD??? I BELIEVE THAT THE SEAT BELT DIDN'T LOCK IN PLACE LIKE IT SHOULD HAVE ONCE THE BREAKS WERE PRESSED- MY PASSENGER KEPT TRAVELING FORWARD AS THE VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN. NOTE THAT MY PASSENGER WAS HOLDING HIS HEAD ONCE WE EXITED THE VEHICLE!

ACCELERATION DELAY WITH MY RECENTLY PURCHASED 2016 NISSAN VERSA NOTE. PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS WHEN MAKING A LEFT TURN IN FRONT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC AS THE INITIAL PRESSING OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL HAS A DELAYED RESPONSE, SOMETIMES FOR 3 SECONDS OR MORE. TO COMPENSATE FOR THE DELAY I PRESS HEAVY ON THE PEDAL RESULTING IN A SUDDEN SURGE WHEN IT FINALLY KICKS IN. I TOOK IT IN FOR REPAIR AND WAS TOLD BY THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. THE PROBLEM CONTINUES TO PRESENT A DANGER WHEN DRIVING.
