To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this request under my existing Consumer Affairs case number [XXX] regarding my 2015 Nissan Pathfinder (VIN: [XXX] , Plate: [XXX] ). On [insert date], while driving on the freeway, the hood latch failed and caused the hood to suddenly fly up, completely blocking my view. This recall-related defect directly led to my vehicle striking another car. Thankfully, no one was injured. However, my vehicle sustained significant damage: •Both front fenders were bent •Front bumper was damaged This incident was a direct result of the hood latch defect that is already part of a safety recall. The failure created an extremely dangerous situation that could have caused serious harm to myself and others. I am respectfully requesting that Nissan cover the cost of repairs or provide reimbursement for the damage caused by this recall-related failure. I believe this is a fair and reasonable resolution, as the damage was not due to negligence but to a documented safety defect. The hood does not fully latch when closed unless manually engaged. I’ve brought it in to the dealer several times now to specifically have the safety recall completed but all they continue to do is “ clean” it and send me away. It is an ongoing issue and they will not complete the recall on my vehicle.

After my fiance passed from cancer in February. I saved 10g for me and our kids to get to school and work. The Carfax report only showed one recall at that time. I only drove that truck a week and almost died multiple times with my family. The truck just would go into limp mode. I found later that Nissin America had recalled the CVT / Judder/ transmission. It was recalled and never fixed! That was on no report I saw. I thought I found a great vehicle for my family and I bought a death trap. How can a recall of such importance like the transmission needing to be replaced and paid for by Nissan. It's 7 thousand dollars. I would have never bought that vehicle if all the information on that vehicle was on the report. How can you take something so dangerous and allow it to be sold to the public not knowing thst it was never repaired. The previous owners were never notified of the recall which is why is was never fixed. Nissan told me it was covered up to 81,000 miles or you had until 2024 to get it repaired or whichever came first. My family is about to lose everything. I can't even drive to hilltop to get my plates. I still haven't been able to drive it. It is a death trap. This vehicle should not have ever been resold with such a significant issue like the transmission! I feel like i was just robbed ten thousand dollars. I'm disabled and had plans to return to school. My sons wrestling future is now over. Everyone lost their jobs because I can't drive anyone. I can't even go to the store without worrying I'm going to die in that truck. This is so wrong. I am praying that you can help me make this right. The truck had a recall that was removed yet never fixed. A danger to the public and my family.Thank you for your time.

The trans shifting from 70 miles per hour to first gear while driving on the highway now it shakes my car when I move it for word just to clean under it in my parking lot I just bought the car last year I dove it for about 3 to for month's And now it sits for five to six because i can't afford a new transmission

My Nissan Pathfinder had R24C6 Hood Latch Recall repaired a couple months ago and is is still not updated in the NHTSA website? Service was done at the Nissan Dealership on Sonoma Blvd in Vallejo Ca. When I go to the Nissan dealership website to schedule an appointment, Nissan states that there are no open recalls on this vehicle (7SBE521) I will upload documentation to prove it was done. NHTSA can also verify with dealership with necessary. Thank you!!!

I purchased a used 2015 Nissan Pathfinder last year. Recently the passenger airbag light does not turn off. After searching the internet, I found their was a recall for this issue in the past. I contacted Nissan, and to my dismay they claim the issue had been addressed for my vehicle and will not pay to have the issue resolved. I am unsure that having a passenger in my car is safe.

The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repair of NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V244000 (Air Bags) however, after the recall repair, the air bag warning light illuminated, and the message "Passenger Air Bag Off" was displayed despite the front passenger's seat being occupied. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensor needed to be replaced, and a repair fee was charged. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle had not experienced a failure before the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 139,000.

The contact stated that while driving approximately 15 MPH, the passenger side front, middle and rear curtain air bags were erroneously deployed causing the vehicle to abruptly shut off. During the failure, the driver sustained burns to both arms and hands which did not require medical treatment. The contact indicated that the vehicle did not crash into another vehicle or object to cause the air bags to deploy. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 150,000.

I bought a vehicle from Woods Nissan in Lees Summit, MO, on [XXX], and in a week I went back for details, and the car would not start. They checked and claimed nothing was wrong, and I took their word for it. I took the car to KC Auto Clinic in Independence, MO, and they found it was the judder system, which they said was an issue they were seeing in many Nissan vehicles. To me, there should be a recall on this, as it can simply shut off and cause a huge accident. Don't let this happen and wait for an accident to happen, as this can happen to anyone, driving or possibly getting into an accident with a vehicle like mine. I was driving on a busy highway and when I went to accelerate after slowing down in traffic my Pathfinder started to shake and shudder and would not accelerate forward. I not only almost got rear ended but I almost got into a head on collision because I was at an intersection. The car just lost all power all of a sudden. My car has been maintained properly with routine oil changes, transmission fluid changes, it has four brand new tires on it just purchased six months ago. So now I find out that I am one of the "victims of the bad CVT transmissions that Nissan put into these vehicles and they knew it!!" I call Nissan support and they tell me basically "too bad the warranty was extended but it ended in 2022 and at 84,000 miles. It's now 2025 and you're at 105,000 miles. I am "disabled for life and on a fixed income" I don't have the money to fix the car. I have like two payments left and it's finally paid off!!! They should've done a RECALL ON THESE TRANSMISSIONS AND THEY DIDN'T!! THEY ARE DEATH TRAPS AND NOW I SEE THEY ARE GIVING $5000.00 TO MURANO AND MAXIMA OWNERS FOR BAD CVT TRANSMISSIONS!! BUT ALL OF US PATHFINDERS, ROGUE AND INFINITY OWNERS WHOSE TRANSMISSIONS DIDN'T GO BAD BEFORE 2022 OR 84,000.00 MIKE'S ARE JUST SCREWED!! THIS IS NOT FAIR AT ALL. WHAT KIND OF COMPENSATION IS THIS?? cvt transmission is the worse my vehicle stopped on me on the highway coming from miami to orlando no warning nothing just stopped, the vehicle goes faster than it actually says with my children the only direction it could go into is reverse late at night it was so scary. I know if I could change my vehicle I would for a vehicle without CVT Transmission it doesn't shift like normal which is shifting at each short line it races to 3 to 4 then goes down putting more where and tear than norm

FOR OVER 6 MONTHS MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN SPUTTERING OFF AND ON. JUST RECENTLY, WHEN CRANKING IT UP, IT WOULD BLOW OUT WHITE SMOKE AND SPUTTER EVEN WORSE. WE BOUGHT IT IN MARCH 2020 KNOWING IT WAS SPUTTERING BUT THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMED TO HAVE FIXED IT. NOW IT'S WITH NISSAN WHERE IT'S BEEN FOR ALMOST 2 WEEKS. THEY'RE STATING THAT THE TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE HAS TO BE REPLACED. THEY ALSO STATED THAT THESE VEHICLES ARE NOTORIOUS FOR THESE ISSUES. BOTH MY SUN VISORS HAVE FAILED AFTER ONLY 61000 MILES. THE DRIVER'S SIDE VISOR LOST ITS ABILITY TO STAY IN EITHER THE UP OR FULLY FORWARD SITUATION RESULTING IN IT FALLING DOWN IN FRONT OF MY VISION WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. THE PASSENGER SIDE VISOR IS ALMOST AT THE SAME STAGE OF FAILURE. IT HANGS DOWN 2 INCHES FROM THE TOP OF THE ROOF. MULTIPLE TIMES PASSENGERS HAVE HIT THEIR FACE ON THE VISOR WHEN LEANING FORWARD. AFTER TALKING WITH THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP'S PARTS DEPARTMENT, THEY INDICATED THAT SITUATION IS NOT ABNORMAL. THE PARTS PERSON SAID HE WAS IN A SIMILAR SITUATION WITH HIS PATHFINDER. I ENDED UP REPLACING THE DRIVERS SIDE VISOR SINCE IT WAS BLOCKING MY VISION WHILE DRIVING. SOON THE PASSENGER SIDE VISOR WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE ATTACHED PICTURES THE VISOR DESIGN IS SUB-PAR AND SHOULD BE REDESIGNED AND PROVIDED TO CUSTOMERS.

Hood latch won’t close fully. Took to my dealer and supposedly they “cleaned” it and it keeps not fully latching and dealer won’t do anything about it because they “cleaned” it previously. Randomly comes loose. I can’t list a. Specific date because it always happens if I take it for an oil change they can’t get the hood to fully latch either. Once you open the hood it will not fully latch.

DURING THE INCIDENT BOTH THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE BODY FENDERS WERE DAMAGED. THE LOCAL DEALER MANSFIELD MOTOR GROUP (1493 PARK AVE WEST, MANSFIELD OH) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT, NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,800.

Back brake lights stay on. Seems like brakes are stuck as I can start my car without pressing the brakes and can get it out of the park position without having to push the brakes. I had to disconnect my battery to keep it from being drained. The was a recall back in 2021. I contacted Nissan and they said the issue was fixed. THE VEHICLE STOPS ACCELERATING WHILE DRIVING. NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU PRESS THE GAS IS DOESN'T GO. WE HAVE FOUND OUT THAT WE MUST PRESS THE BRAKE DOWN NEARLY ALL THE WAY AND THEN PRESS THE GAS. THIS IS DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY IN A BIG CITY. THERE IS NO PATTERN IT DOES IT WHILE GETTING ON/OFF EXITS AND WHILE DRIVING ON RESIDENTIAL ROADS AS WELL.

THE BRAKE RELAY IS DEFECTIVE. IT'S CAUSING THE CAR TO THINK THE BRAKE IS ENGAGED AND YOU CANNOT USE THE ACCELERATOR. THE NISSAN TECH NOTES EVEN RECOMMEND BYPASSING PART OF THE SYSTEM WHEN YOU REPAIR. MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD IF YOU CANNOT ACCELERATE IN AN INTERSECTION OR WHILE EGRESSING FROM A PARKING LOT.

FOR APPROXIMATELY THE LAST MONTH THERE HAD BEEN A SHIMMY ON THE FRONT END. WHEN TAKING IT TO BE SERVICED AT THE NISSAN DEALER THERE WERE 13690 MILES ON THE CAR. THE CAR IS PRIMARILY DRIVEN LOCALLY A COUPLE OF TIMES WEEKLY BECAUSE THE OWNER WORKS FROM HOME. THE SERVICE CENTER CAME BACK AND SAID THERE WERE NO FRONT BRAKES LEFT AND WAS SURPRISED WE HAD GOTTEN IN. WHEN ASKED HOW THIS COULD HAPPEN AFTER SO FEW MILES THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID THE DRIVER MUST HAVE A HEAVY FOOT. THE DRIVER IS A 59 YEAR OLD WOMAN WHO ONLY DRIVES LOCALLY. THE BRAKES AND ROTORS WERE REPLACED. NISSAN CORPORATE WAS CONTACTED. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER CAME BACK AND STATED THAT THE BRAKE FLUID MAY HAVE BROKEN DOWN. BOTH EXPLANATIONS ARE IMPLAUSIBLE. A REGIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER CALLED TODAY AND GAVE NO OTHER EXPLANATION BUT STATED SINCE THE CAR WAS 14 MONTHS PAST WARRANTY THEY WOULD NOT BE RESPONSIBLE. WE HAVE SINCE CONTACTED TWO ACQUAINTANCES WHO ARE MECHANICS AND BOTH SAID NISSAN'S EXPLANATION IS NOT PLAUSIBLE. THIS AFFECTED ONLY THE FRONT BRAKES AND THE CALIPERS WERE UNAFFECTED. WE CAN SEND A COPY OF THE SERVICE BILL IF NEEDED.

MY 2015 NISSAN PATHFINDER WAS PURCHASED IN NOV. 2018. IT'S BEEN IN THE NISSAN SHOP NUMEROUS TIMES SINCE NOV. WE HAVE ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION STUDDERING/DELAYED ACCELERATION. IT CANT BE REPRODUCED ON DEMAND SO IT'S HARD TO DIAGNOSE. YOU HAVE TO LET OFF THE GAS BEFORE IT WILL GO PROPERLY. ALSO, THE COOLING FAN ASSEMBLY HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE WITHIN 1 MONTH WITH NEW PARTS . THIS 3RD TIME ONE OF THE FANS WILL NOT CONTINUE TO BLOW. I'VE READ ONLINE THAT THESE 2 ISSUES ARE VERY COMMON WITH THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE A 2015 NISSAN PATHFINDER STARTING AT 64000 MILES I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR IN SEVERAL TIMES DUE TO THE HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM. LATELY I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WHEN I PRESS ON THE ACCELERATOR THE CAR DOESN'T WANT TO GO. IN ADDITION, IT SEEMS TO HYDROPLANE AND JERK IF THE ROAD IS WET AND YOU GO OVER 40 MILES PER HOUR. PATHFINDER RECAL. CAR "SHUTTERS" AND "STUTTERS" WHEN TRANSITIONING IN BETWEEN GEARS. ADDITIONALLY, WHILE IN DRIVE, ENTERING A FREEWAY ON RAMP, MOVING AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE, IT WAS AS IF IT WAS IN NEUTRAL. THE CAR HAS 69,000 MILES ON IT, AND FOR THE PAST YEAR, AT APPROXIMATELY 53,000 MILES, IT'S BEEN "STUTTERING AND SHUTTERING" WHILE TRANSITIONING IN BETWEEN GEARS.

2015 pathfinder will intermittently not accelerate while driving. Occurs mostly after being at a stop. Has also occurred while in motion in a 35 mph zone. The traction control light will illuminate and stay on until vehicle is shut off and restarted. This is dangerous and will eventually cause a crash.

PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN FEBRUARY 2019. TWO YEARS LATER IN MAY 2021, I WAS SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A TURN AND WHEN IT WAS TIME TO ACCELERATE OUT OF THE TURN, THE CAR FELT LIKE IT LOST POWER AND EVEN THOUGH I WAS PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL, THE CAR SEEMED TO BE STUCK AND HESITATING. IT WOULDN'T GO OVER 5MPH. BROUGHT INTO CARMAX WHERE I PURCHASED IT FROM, BUT BECAUSE THERE WERE NO LIGHTS ON THEY COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM AND THE DIAGNOSTIC DIDN'T PICK UP ANY CODES. TWO DAYS LATER THE CAR DID THIS AGAIN AND THIS TIME IT LITERALLY DIED AS WELL IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY STREET. THIS TIME IS RATTLED AND SHOOK WHEN IT DIED. CARMAX SAID TO BRING IT IN TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP. NISSAN TRIED TO GET ME TO PAY FOR A NEW ENGINE!! SAID THERE WAS SLUDGE ON THE OIL CAP AND THAT WAS AN INDICATION THAT WE NEVER CHANGED THE OIL. WE CHANGE THE OIL EVERY 5,000MILES! CARMAX WARRANTY WOULDN'T APPROVE A NEW ENGINE BASED ON 1 MECHANICS OPINIONS. I KEPT INSISTING IT FELT LIKE A TRANSMISSION ISSUE, BUT THEY CAN ONLY INVESTIGATE IF THEY HAVE A DIRECTION VIA IDIOT LITE OR CODE FROM THE DIAGNOSTIC. SO IF THEY DID THE INSPECTION AND THERE WAS AN ISSUE, THEN IT WOULD BE COVERED BY THE EXT. WARRANTY. BUT IF THEY DIDN'T FIND AN ISSUE, I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR INSPECTION AND LABOR $300+. THEY REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR. CAR HAS BEEN RUNNING GREAT FOR THE LAST 9 MONTHS UNTIL THIS WEEK! THE CAR IS DOING IT AGAIN. SEVERAL TIMES IN A MATTER OF 3 DAYS THE CAR HAS LITERALLY FELT LIKE IT LOSES ITS POWER AND WONT GO OVER 20MPH NO MATTER HOW FAR YOU PUSH ON THE GAS PEDAL. While driving my Pathfinder, the transmission hesitated, jerked, and spuddered while trying to merge into traffic. Almost caused a severe accident. This was not the first time this has happened and Nissan refuses to do anything about the CVT transmission that apparently has been recalled in the past as well as had lawsuits against it. There are no warning lights or notice at all before this happens.

ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS (AT LEAST 6 - TWICE WITHIN 10 MINUTES OF EACH OTHER), WHEN TURNING AFTER SLOWING DOWN OR BEING AT A COMPLETE STOP, THE CAR SEEMS TO LOSE POWER. IT WILL NOT ACCELERATE UNLESS YOUR FOOT IS TAKEN OFF THE GAS PEDAL AND THE GAS PEDAL IS PRESSED DOWN AGAIN. IT A A SAFETY CONCERN BECAUSE THERE HAS BEEN ONCOMING TRAFFIC WHEN THIS HAS HAPPENED. AN ACCIDENT IS BOUND TO OCCUR. THE CAR DEALER CAN'T ISOLATE THE ISSUE. THEIR RECOMMENDATION IS TO REPLACE THE ABS MODULE WHICH THEY THINK MIGHT FIX THE PROBLEM.. When driving, many times while going uphill, the car starts to jerk if I press the gas it jerks more. I have to let go of the gas and then press to go fast for it to stop. At times, it has caused for other cars to rear end or for me to go into another car. The jerkin is becoming a safety hazard for me and I’ve only had the car since July. No warning lamps or error codes given on instrument cluster While driving normally the car suddenly would not accelerate almost causing an accident while turning left. The car was driven home on idle. This Happened 2 weeks prior and the battery was replaced to rule out problem and it worked fine for 2 weeks fine . The same problem occurred again and will not accelerate. This is a major safety hazard and I’m looking into legal action for negligence and non helpful Nissan corporation

A component is draining my battery. 7/21 New battery installed by Dealer. I'm told that the alternator is good. 7/28 adjustment on brake/starter switch??? Dealer wasn't clear. Said problem was fixed. 8/4 returned the SUV back to local dealer . Now I'm told that the Tow Bar was pulling 4 amps of energy and draining the battery, and that I should return the vehicle back to the place of purchased to have repaired. Our 2015 was purchase brand new with the Tow Bar as part of the accessary package. I have a Nissan Security Plus Extended Warranty. The Tech suggested that the Tow Bar may not have been Factory Installed. In the interim, I have been without transportation for 8 days.

Headlamps on 2015 Nissan Pathfinder delaminating making plastic on headlamps foggy with issue getting worse by the day. Safety issue that Nissan will not assume responsibility for, even though they had similar recall for years of other model car in 2015. Reference TSB No. 03-074H. Dealership at Surf city Nissan has been zero help. I am concerned for the safety of my family while driving at night. Please help if you can.

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V020000 (Exterior Lighting) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

WASHING MY CAR THIS PAST SUMMER,THE HEAD LAMP LENSE COVERS SHATTERED. THE LENSES ARE STILL IN TACK . THE LIGHT BEAMS ARE DISTORTED,THE HEADLAMPS ARE NOT AS BRIGHT. I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR A OIL CHANGE AND THE DEALER HANDED ME A SERVICE BULLETIN FROM NISSAN [REFERNCE NTB17-045,CLASSIFICATION EL17-015]. I CONTACKED NISSAN TO NO AVAIL,THE DEALERSHIP OFFERED TO REPLACE LENSES AT MY EXPENSE.I DONT FEEL THIS IS RIGHT! VEHICLE WAS NOT IN MOTION.

There was a vehicle at a complete stop doing an illegal left turn, the car behind him was able to swerve around him but I was not able to I hit the brakes twice all the way down and the car did not stop. At the impact the air bags did not deploy. There were not skid marks on the road either, making me believe that the brakes did not do its job. The vehicle is now at the shop waiting for my insurance adjuster to let me know what the next step is. I just spent $5,000 on the transmission just to have this issue arise, luckily my family and I were not seriously injured but it left my kids traumatized. No warnings were issued before the crash.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH DOWN AN INCLINE, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS APPLIED AND TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD. EXCESSIVE FORCE WAS APPLIED TO THE BRAKE PEDAL BUT THE BRAKES FAILED TO RESPOND CAUSING THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. ONLY THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED DUE TO THE FAILURE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V012000 (SERVICE BRAKES). THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A COLLISION CENTER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT AN INVESTIGATOR WOULD BE ASSIGNED TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. CVT Transmission Internal Failure Judder Code P17FO Cost to replace $5000 Broken Radiator Fan cost to replace $938 Total repairs required $6281. Car located at Canon Nissan Dealer. Another repair shop indicated they are seeing failed CVT transmissions on many 2015 Pathfinders and Nissan models which appears to be a manufacturers defect. No warning lights. started naking noises week or two ago. indicated the fan was dangerous.

THE VEHICLE SHAKES, JERKS AND SHUDDERS DURING ACCELERATION AT LOW SPEEDS I.E. 20-40 MPH. IT FEELS LIKE IT STALLS AND THEN GOES AGAIN. THIS HAPPENED IN TRAFFIC ON THE FREEWAY AND ON THE FREEWAY ON RAMP, IN A ROUNDABOUT AND JUST TURNING OR GOING THROUGH A LIGHT. AFTER SOME RESEARCH IT APPEARS IT IS THE CVT TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE ALSO HAS A VERY LOUD AC BLOWER INSIDE. IT SOUNDS LIKE A JET ENGINE WHEN THE FAN IS TURNED HIGHER.

WHEN STARTING FROM STOP ( AT A STOP SIGN OR TRAFFIC LIGHT) THE VEHICLE PERIODICALLY WILL NOT ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP TWO TIMES NOW WITH NO CHANGE. THE FIRST TIME IT WAS IN THEY DID A SOFTWARE UPDATE AND THOUGHT THAT WOULD CORRECT IT, IT DID NOT. THE SECOND TIME THEY SAID IT WAS BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS IN 2WD AND IT WAS WET OUT. IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN WITH THE VEHICLE IN AUTO AND THE GROUND BONE DRY. I CALLED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND STARTED A CASE. I WAS TOLD TO GET A SECOND OPINION. THE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE BECAUSE WHEN PULLING INTO A LANE OF TRAFFIC YOU MAY NOT MOVE FOR A FEW SECONDS ANS ON COMING TRAFFIC MAY NOT STOP.

I HAD MY TRANSMISSION FLUSHED AT APPROX. 52K MILES ON 2/23/2019. IN APRIL 2019, THE TRANSMISSION BEGIN HAVING ISSUES. RPMS WOULD RIDE HIGH; HOWEVER, TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT UP-SHIFT. OCCURRED DESPITE ACCELERATOR PRESSED TO THE FLOOR. WHEN RELEASING THE ACCELERATOR AND PRESSING AGAIN, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD JERK AND BEGIN TO UP-SHIFT. ISSUE IS INTERMITTENT. CAN OCCUR WHEN TAKING OFF AFTER STOPPING AT AN INTERSECTION, AND SUDDENLY WHEN SMOOTHLY ACCELERATING UPON ENTERING FREEWAYS. HAVING SAFETY CONCERNS, I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO NISSAN AND EXPLAINED THE ISSUE AS NOTED ABOVE ON 5/8/2019. DESPITE TELLING JOSH KERN THE ISSUE WAS THE TRANSMISSION, I LATER DISCOVERED HE RECORDED THE ISSUE AS "... THE THROTTLE WASN'T RESPONSIVE." HE CALLED SAYING THE CAR WAS DRIVEN 60 MILES AND THE ISSUE WAS RESOLVED BY PERFORMING A "IDLE RELEARN" AND "SELF LEARN" SOFTWARE UPDATE. BECAUSE OF THIS, THE VEHICLE NOW IDLED VERY HIGH. AFTER DRIVING IT A FEW DAYS, THE ISSUE OCCURRED AGAIN. REVIEWING THE SERVICE DOC, I REALIZED THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY DRIVEN 1 MILE AND NOT THE 60 MILES. IT ALSO HAD NOTES FROM THE TECHNICIAN THAT "ISSUE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED." I RETURNED TO NISSAN TO SPEAK TO THE SERVICE MANAGER, BUT HE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. WHILE THERE, I REQUESTED ALL HARD-COPIES OF WORK PERFORMED. ON ONE PAGE WAS WRITTEN NOTES ABOUT ERASING CODES, MENTION OF THE TRANS., ENGINE & IACV-AAC, ECM ON FADED PRINT-OUT OF CODES. MADE OTHER ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT MANAGER WITH NO SUCCESS. IN AUG.2019, THE DEALERSHIP GM PUT ME IN CONTACT W STEVE ZANI (ASST. SERV. MGR.) HE WAS VERY HELPFUL, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE ISSUE. HIGH IDLE FROM UPDATE SEEMS TO BE MASKING ISSUE FREQUENCY. CALLED NISS CON AFFAIRS-CASE36982668. RENEE' WAS NO HELP. REFUSED TO UPDATE CASE OR CALL DEALERSHIP. HAD MY NAME WRONG, ELUSIVE AND SHORT ON PHONE. WORRIED ISSUE NOT GIVEN PROPER CREDENCE; DESPITE DEFECT AND SAFETY CONCERNS.

IN THE LAST SEVERAL WEEKS, I AM EXPERIENCING LOSS OF ACCELERATION FOR MY NISSAN PATHFINDER 2015 (33,000 MILES). FOR SOME REASONS, THERE IS NO ACCELERATION NOR RPM INCREASED WHEN I FLOORED THE GAS PEDAL FOR SEVERAL SECONDS AFTER RELEASING THE GAS PEDAL (COASTING) DUE TO TRAFFIC STOPS OR WANT TO MAKE A TURN OR AFTER FULL STOP. THE CAR WAS COASTING AROUND 20 MPH AND DIDN'T ACCELERATE.

WHILE DRIVING MY PATHFINDER ON MAJOR HIGHWAYS AND ROADS, I WOULD BE MERGING INTO TRAFFIC, TURNING ONTO A ROAD AND JUST TRYING TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE OFTEN LOSES ALL POWER AND DECELERATES. I HAVE PLACED THE GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, AND YET HAVE NO POWER. IT TAKES AT LEAST 10-15 SECONDS TO REGAIN POWER AND BE ABLE TO ACCELERATE AGAIN. OFTEN TIMES I'VE BEEN CLOSE TO BEING REAR ENDED, ESPECIALLY ON MAJOR HIGHWAYS, WITH MY 2 MONTH OLD NIECE IN THE VEHICLE WITH ME BY TRACTOR TRAILERS. I FEAR FOR THE SAFETY OF MYSELF AND ANYONE IN THE CAR WITH ME, AS WELL AS OTHER DRIVERS WHO HAVE POTENTIAL TO REAR END ME AS I LOSE POWER. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON ROUTE 70 IN NEW STANTON, PA, ROUTE 119 (SEVERAL PARTS) IN GREENSBURG, PA, VARIOUS LOCATIONS ON ROUTE 30 IN GREENSBURG, PA, CAMEO LANE, GREENSBURG, PA, TWIN LAKES PARK, AND GEORGE'S STATION ROAD IN GREENSBURG, PA, AS WELL AS ROUTE 217 IN DERRY, PA AND INDIANA, PA. THIS WAS TAKEN TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN GREENSBURG, PA TWINCE FOR THE SAME ISSUE, AND THEY HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE, BUT CLAIMED THE FIRST TIME IT WAS IN, THAT IT WAS A FAULTY BRAKE SWITCH, AND REPLACED IT FOR $217.00. THAT DID NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE AND IT WAS BACK INTO THE DEALERSHIP A WEEK LATER. I HAVE FOUND SEVERAL WEBSITES, INCLUDING A NEWS STATION THAT COVERED THIS ISSUE (WITH A FATAL ACCIDENT) AND NISSAN HAS NEVER CORRECTED THE PROBLEM IN ANY OF THE CASES.

My car jolts/jerks in park as soon as it’s crunk up. Have been to the shop 9 times since June. Last 4 times has been Nissan Dealership, had $3000+ worth of work/replacement done. My engine is still continuing to do the same thing. Nissan said past 2 times that it was ignition coils, because they replace plug wires, but they’ve been replaced 3 times now and still the same issue ? Sounds more like CVT or timing chain issue. No codes were thrown past 2 times either

It begins shaking, jolting and shuddering while driving; started off happening at take off; then progressed to anytime speed was under 35mph; now, it does it often throughout all speeds. Nissan states it needs a new transmission which was quoted to cost $6,600+tax. The vehicle trade-in value is only $5,000ish prior to these symptoms. Vehicle has less than 117,500 miles and all maintenance and fluids have been routinely changed throughout vehicle's lifespan. This CVT issue seems to be ongoing therefore Nissan and other makes should not be allowed to put these into vehicles that are so costly and these transmissions begin to give problems while vehicles are still under warranty. Need assistance in fixing the costly transmission and Nissan should have a discount on this faulty transmissions that they knew had issues. No warning lamps or messages given; symptoms were found when taken in at 117,000 miles and stated transmission needs to be replaced. Warning lamps and signals should have been given to owner to prevent the damage done to transmission. Warning lamps do not show anything wrong with vehicle; however, the jolting, jumping and sputtering is very dangerous during driving and may cause accidents in braking, acceleration and/or heavy traffic flow.

The Power Liftgate Switch on the trunk is always having issues due to the chrome plate thats part of the body on the trunk. The chrome panel is easily weathered and rubber seal comes off and when in contact with water, water drains right onto the relay switch and causes burnt out relay, or blown fuses, and does not operate.

VEHICLE BEGAN ISSUES WITH NO ACCELERATION AFTER COMING OFF OF THE BRAKES. HAS TO DOUBLE TAP BRAKES TO GET VEHICLE TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE. THEN IT PROGRESSED INTO THE TAIL LIGHTS WOULD NOT SHUT OFF AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF, WHICH WOULD IN TURN DRAIN THE BATTERY. THEN IT PROGRESSED ONCE AGAIN INTO THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AS IT WAS NOT SENSING THE BRAKE BEING DEPRESSED ON A PUSH TO START IGNITION SYSTEM. THE FIX WAS FAULTY RELAYS KNOWN IN PRIOR YEARS FROM 2013-2014 SAME FAULT IN 2015 MODEL BUT NO ACTIVE RECALL. SECOND ISSUE WHEN A/C SYSTEM IS ACTIVATED THERE'S A VIBRATION COMING OFF OF THE FAN ASSEMBLY WHICH CAUSES A LOUD SOUND HEARD WHILE THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY. ALSO A SEPARATE RECALL ON 2013-2014 PATHFINDER BUT DOES NOT COVER THE 2015 NISSAN PATHFINDER.

1)Vehicle has been repaired 3 times in the last 2 weeks for a brake switch issue that is causing the vehicle not to recognize the brake is pushed causing the car not being able to start. This has been an intermittent issue for 18 months and was told the recall fixed it, which it didn't. 2)Dealership service department is now telling me that other issues have arisen since trying to fix issue #1. The car is revving to 5000 rpms, the car is automatically going to manual 1, and the car is hitting speeds of 40mph without touching the pedal.

THE BRAKE LIGHTS REMAINED ON WHILE DRIVING AND AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS SHUT OFF. AT SEVERAL POINTS, THE ACCELERATOR STOPPED WORKING WHILE DRIVING, THIS HAPPENED ON A FOUR-LANE STREET AND ON RESIDENTIAL STREETS.

Brake lights will stay on even when car is parked and not occupied.Skid control coms on when driving and engine power is reduced or in lymph node. Car can be put in drive without depressing the brake switch . Ok Nissan says this is not on recall by vin # but there is an active recall on this model now. Sounds like a good lawsuit to me.Thanks and hope you can help.

THREE TIMES THIS WEEK WE HAVE TRIED TO ACCELERATE OUR VEHICLE WITH NO RESPONSE. IN ADDITION, THREE TIMES THIS WEEK THE BRAKE LIGHTS HAVE STAYED ON AFTER SHUTTING THE VEHICLE OFF. THE BRAKE LIGHTS WILL STAY ON UNTIL YOU OPERATE THE VEHICLE AGAIN. THE ONE DAY WE DIDNT NOTICE FOR ABOUT 40 MINUTES. I HAVE READ THERE HAVE BEEN RECALLS FOR THE 2013 AND 2014 BRAKE RELAY SWITCH SO I'M THINKING THIS IS THE SAME ISSUE.

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that the front driver’s side seat warmer stopped functioning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing and the contact was informed that the harness connector on the climate-controlled seat control unit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was out of warranty and that the contact had to pay out of pocket for the repair. The failure mileage was 104,000.

THE BOLT HOLDING THE SEAT IN PLACE ON THE DRIVES SIDE BROKE LEAVING THE SEAT ABLE TO SHIFT A COUPLE OF DEGREES. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT IT JUST BROKE OFF AS I BREAKED. COUPLE OF THINGS, FIRST THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG IS SET TO OFF WHEN THERE IS AN ADULT SITTING THERE, AND I HAVE A BLINKING AIRBAG LIGHT, AT ALL TIMES NO MATTER WHAT. SECOND, THERE IS A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE WHEN I TURN MY HEATER ON. I CAN ALSO FEEL THE VIBRATION WHEN I'M STILL. THE SUV ONLY HAS ABOUT 44K MILES. I SEE THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE THAT HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED. I'M DEFINITELY DISAPPOINTED.

THE SECOND HAPPEN TODAY FOR CO2 SENSOR. I CALL AND THERE ARE NO SOLUTION IN PLACE, I BROUGHT THIS VEHICLE NEW AND NOW I FEEL ITS A LEMON, THEY EVEN MADE ME REPLACE THE BRAKE FLUID DUE TO IT BEING BLACK, TOO EARLY FOR ME IF SUV IS NEW. VEHICLE PURCHASED NEW 3/2016, LESS THAN 15,000 MILES (HWY). 12/1/2016 WHILE DRIVING ON HWY, REAR PASSENGER TIRE SIDEWALL SHREDDED AND MACERATED. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with CVT judder. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The relay in the drivers seat melted and the wires shorted out. This caused issues with my radio, clock, brakes, and power issues when accelerating. They replaced the relay which cost me $1200 and suddenly all of my systems work correctly. I was told the short was causing feedback into the electrical systems of the car by the service department. The dealer further confirmed there is an advisory on this issue and it has been noted several times. They stated the issue is ongoing but there is no recall.

If there is low power when accelerating from a stopped position going into traffic, this could lead to injury or death of persons in the car as other vehicles could run into them. Likewise with brake lights remaining on throughout a journey, other road users cannot determine when the brakes have been applied which could lead to collisions.

I AM HAVING ISSUES WITH THE VISORS IN MY 2015 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THEY ARE BOTH BROKE AND HANG DOWN IN FRONT OF MY LINE OF VISION. NISSAN WILL NOT REPAIR THESE. I HAVE REPLACED BOTH AND THEY HAVE BROKEN IN THE EXACT SAME SPOT AGAIN. MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE THE ROAD. I HAVE HAD TO REMOVE THEM AND CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS AGAIN. SO NOW THE SUN IS MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE THE ROAD AS OPPOSED TO THE VISOR BLOCKING MY LINE OF VISION. THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM FOR MANY NISSAN OWNERS. THE DEALERSHIP EVEN NOTED THAT NISSAN NEEDS TO DO A RECALL BECAUSE OF THE INCIDENT RATES. ENGINE COOLING FAN IS MAKING A RACKET BOUNCING OFF OF SHROUD WHEN THE HEAT OR A/C IS TURNED ON. IT IS THE PASSENGER SIDE FAN. JUST BOUGHT THE VEHICLE USED AND ONLY HAS 50K. NICE VEHICLE, JUST WISH I DIDNT HAVE TO TURN AROUND AND MAKE REPAIRS THAT SHOULD NOT BE NEEDED.

SINCE THE PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE, MY NISSAN PATHFINDER HAS FAILED TO ACCELERATE EITHER AT A STOP OR DURING NORMAL SPEED. THE ENGINE WOULD NOT STALL, BUT WOULD ONLY ACCELERATE ALMOST AT IDLE SPEED. THE SYMPTOM OF THE PROBLEM WOULD OCCUR A COUPLE OF TIME THEN THE SLIP INDICATOR LIGHT WOULD DISPLAY AND STAY ON UNTIL THE CAR WAS SHUT DOWN AND RESTARTED, I HAVE SEVERAL PICTURES DEMONSTRATING THE ISSUE AS DESCRIBED FOR WHEN THE INDICATOR SLIP LIGHT FOR THE LIMITED SLIP CONTROL WOULD DISPLAY IN CLEAR CONDITIONS. THIS WOULD OCCUR IN IDEAL WEATHER CONDITIONS AND ROAD CONDITIONS WERE CLEAR AND MY FOOT WAS DEFINITELY NOT ENGAGING THE BRAKE PEDAL. THIS PRESENTS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE, ESPECIALLY WHEN ATTEMPTING TO PULL INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC OR ATTEMPTING TO PASS A SLOWER VEHICLE. I COULD DEPRESS THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR WITH NO IMPACT ON ACCELERATION. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL NEAR MISSES WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC DUE TO FAILURE TO ACCELERATE. I TOOK IN THE VEHICLE INTO D-PATRICK NISSAN IN EVANSVILLE, INDIANA SEVERAL TIMES AND TO ANDY MOHR NISSAN, INDIANAPOLIS INDIANA. IN BOTH CASES, THE DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO DETECT ANY ISSUES WITH CODE ERRORS OR REPLICATE THE ISSUE EVEN AFTER I PROVIDE PHOTO EVIDENCE OF THE ISSUE I WAS HAVING. THE FAILURE TO ACCELERATE IS SO RANDOM AND CAN HAPPEN SEVERAL DAYS IN ONE WEEK OR AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. WHEN IT DOES HAPPEN I KNOW IT WILL NOT CHANGE UNTIL I CAN SHUT DOWN THE VEHICLE AND RESTART. SOME INSTANCES THE FAILURE TO ACCELERATE WOULD PERSIST BUT MOST OF THE TIME IS WOULD CORRECT ITSELF AFTER RESTARTING. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR WITH MY WIFE AND THREE CHILDREN IN IT. I FINALLY DECIDED TO FILE A COMPLAINT AFTER I FOUND ANOTHER NISSAN PATHFINDER OWNER WHO WAS HAVING THE EXACT SAME ISSUE WITH HIS NISSAN PATHFINDER.

AT INTERMITTENT TIMES WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE WHEN YOU PUSH ON THE GAS, THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS NOT ONLY TO ME BUT TO OTHER PEOPLE BECAUSE IT HAS ALMOST CAUSED ACCIDENTS . WHEN THIS OCCURS THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WILL COME ON AND REMAIN LIT UNTIL THE CAR IS RESTARTED. ALSO THE BRAKE LIGHTS WILL STAY LIGHT . IT HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE NO CODES COULD BE FOUND, ON 05/02/2018 IT WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AFTER MANY CALLS TO NISSAN MOTORS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM THEY GAVE ME A REFERENCE CASE # OF 30341997 ALL THIS WAS GIVEN TO THE DEALERSHIP TO TRY TO FIND THE PROBLEM A SECOND TIME AFTER THEY WERE CONTACTED BY NISSAN AND MYSELF. AFTER 7 HOURS OF HAVING MY CAR FOR DIAGNOSTICS I WAS TOLD IT APPEARS TO BE A FACTORY DEFECT THAT NEEDS 3 PARTS ORDERED TO DO A WORK AROUND. TWO NEW WIRING HARNESSES AND A SWITCH THAT WILL ALLOW THEM TO BYPASS BRAKE SWITCH RELAY AND REROUTE TO BODY CONTROL MODULE , I WAS TOLD THIS WOULD COST AND ADDITIONAL $500 PLUS ON TOP OF THE $121.62 I ALREADY PAID FOR THE DIAGNOSTICS I DO NOT THINK A CONSUMER SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR A FACTORY DEFECT FIRSTLY, THEN HOW IS THIS WORK AROUND GOING TO AFFECT THE SAFETY OF MY VEHICLE FOR MYSELF AND OTHERS? ALSO NISSAN MUST BE WELL AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM FOR THEM TO ALREADY HAVE MANUFACTURED THESE PARTS TO DO A WORK AROUND TO CORRECT IT. ARE THEY TRYING TO RISK PEOPLE LIVES TO SAVE A DOLLAR? SO IN SUMMERY I HAVE AN ACCELERATION PROBLEM THAT IS GOING TO GET SOMEONE KILLED TRACTION CONTROL ISSUE THAT I HAVE NO IDEA IF IT IS WORKING CORRECTLY OR NOT OR IF IT IS GOING TO BE DISABLED. I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHERE ANOTHER CAR CLIPPED THE BACK BUMPER OF MY PATHFINDER GOING TROUGH AN INTERSECTION. IT WAS ENOUGH TO DEPLOY MY CURTAIN AIRBAGS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND THE SEAT AIR BAG IN THE DRIVERS SEAT, BUT DID MINOR DAMAGE TO THE BACK BUMPER ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. BUT, AFTER EVERYONE WAS OUT OF MY PATHFINDER, A POLICE OFFICER NOTICED A FIRE INSIDE THE PATHFINDER. IT WAS LOCATED ON THE PANEL BETWEEN THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR AND THE BACK DOOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. I DON'T HAVE PICTURES (I DIDN'T THINK TO TAKE ANY) AND MY INSURANCE COMPANY IS HANDLING THE POLICE REPORT AND ALL THE DETAILS, BUT THE OFFICER ASKED ME TO REPORT THIS ISSUE TO YOU SO I AM.

I PLAN TO REPORT THIS TO NISSAN ALONG WITH A COUPLE MORE ISSUES LIKE THE CRACKLING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT SUSPENSION USUALLY AFTER REVERSING BACK OUT OF A DRIVEWAY THEN MOVING FORWARD WHILE SLIGHTLY TURNING THE WHEEL BACK TO A STRAIGHT POSITION. COULD BE A BEARING ISSUE, RACKING PINION OR POSSIBLY THE BRAKE ISSUES THAT HAVE BEEN RECALLED. I WILL ALSO REPORT THE CONSTANT ANNOUNCE OF A CRACKLING SOUND COMING FROM THE WOOD PANELING AROUND STEREO AND AIR CONDITION CONTROLS. LAST BUT NOT LEAST THE SCARY & VISIBLE SHAKING OF THE FRONT HOOD WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF OVER 80MPH. THIS VIOLENTLY SHAKING FROM THE HOOD WILL CERTAINLY LET YOU KNOW THAT IF YOU GO ANY FASTER CHANCES ARE THE HOOD WILL FLY OFF OR CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE OR POSSIBLY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN JULY, 2015. THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON SEVERAL TIMES WHILE A PASSENGER WAS IN THE FRONT SEAT SHORTLY AFTER I GOT THE CAR. DURING MY FIRST ROUTINE SERVICE APPOINTMENT ON FEB. 1, 2016 I MENTIONED IT TO THE SERVICE TECH AND THEY CHECKED BUT COULDN'T REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER, THEY PERFORMED A ZERO RESET AT THAT TIME. THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN ON 3/11, 4/9, AND 4/30 WHILE A PASSENGER OF PROPER WEIGHT AND HEIGHT WAS SEATING IN THE SEAT. ADDITIONALLY, ON 4/20 THE SEAT BELT INDICATOR LIGHT WAS LIT IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NO PASSENGER IN THE CAR AND THE DRIVER WAS BUCKLED UP. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE SERVICE STATION TODAY, 5/7, FOR THESE PROBLEMS. THEY STATED THAT THERE ARE NO OPEN RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE AND THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THIS IS NOW THE SECOND TIME MY CAR HAS BEEN IN FOR SERVICE FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND NOTHING WAS FOUND TO BE WRONG. I NOW DRIVE WITH MY CELLPHONE NEXT TO ME AND TAKE PICTURES EVERY TIME THIS OCCURS.

VEHICLE WAS TAKEN INTO SHOP BECAUSE OF SHUDDER IN TRANSMISSION AND HESITATION FROM STOP WHEN APPLYING ACCELERATOR. THE NISSAN DEALER INSTALLED A NEW VALVE BODY IN THE TRANSMISSION WHICH SEEMED TO STOP THE SHUDDER UNTIL TODAY WHEN IT HAS RETURNED. THE HESITATION FROM STOP PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED AND I RETURNED THE PATHFINDER A SECOND TIME TO FIX THIS PROBLEM BUT SINCE IT DID NOT THROW A CODE AND COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED IT WAS NOT FIXED. THE HESITATION PROBLEM IS AN ITERMITTENT PROBLEM BUT WHEN IT HAPPENS THE VEHICLE DOES NOT MOVE FORWARD WHEN THE GAS IS FIRST APPLIED FOR A SECOND OR TWO. I HAVE ALMOST HAD TWO ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM WHEN PULLING INTO TRAFFIC AND THE CAR WILL NOT MOVE WHEN GAS APPLIED. THE SHUDDER PROBLEM AS RETURNED AND CAN BE FELT AT AROUND 40MPH.

POTENTIALLY FAULTY BRAKE SYSTEM OR DOWNSHIFT CVT OR SIMULATED GEARSHIFT SYSTEM. DETAILS: WHEN DRIVING IN SLOW MOVING TRAFFIC WITH THE BRAKES PARTIALLY APPLIED, THE VEHICLE TENDS TO MOMENTARILY ACCELERATE AND SPEED UP. CONCURRENTLY THE RESISTANCE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL TENDS TO DECREASE, ALONG WITH A VISIBLE DOWN-AND-THEN-BACK-UP JUMPING OF RPM NEEDLE. THE BRAKE PEDAL NEEDS TO BE KEPT PRESSED TO ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO SLOW DOWN. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP (NEW VEHICLE, WITH ONLY 300 MILES), THE TECHNICIAN NOTICED THE PROBLEM I HAD BEEN EXPLAINING. THE TECHNICIAN AGREED TO SPEAK WITH THE ENGINEER THE NEXT DAY. HOWEVER, NEXT DAY THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THEY HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERED SUCH AS ISSUE, AND IT MAY BE SIMPLY THE DOWN-SHIFT OF THE CVT TRANSMISSION. THIS IS UNUSUAL IN COMPARISON TO ANY OTHER CAR I HAVE DRIVEN. ACCELERATION OF THE CAR DURING THE BRAKING CYCLE IS CLEARLY ODD. POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN APPROACHING A STOP SIGN OR SLOW TRAFFIC ZONES NEAR SCHOOLS. PLEASE INVESTIGATE.
