Read the columns rather than the rows. Injuries fall by 42% across the range. Theft doubles. Damage to other people rises by a quarter. Repair costs go up and then come back down.
Injuries: the only clean line
The first column is straightforward physics and it is the one most people already believe. Heavier vehicles decelerate less in a collision, occupants experience less of the velocity change, and injury claims fall accordingly.
117 to 68 is a large effect for a single variable, and it does not reverse anywhere in the table.
Theft: the line nobody expects
Comprehensive cover doubles from 85 to 168, and it is the steepest movement in the table.
Large vehicles are worth stealing. A full-size SUV or pickup holds parts value for a decade — wheels, tailgates, catalytic converters, entire drivetrains — and demand for those parts does not fall as the vehicle ages the way the vehicle's own price does.
Weather contributes too. A larger vehicle presents more horizontal surface to hail and more glass to replace, and comprehensive pays for both.
Repairs: the curve that turns around
The third column rises to 140 at the large bracket and then falls back to 124 for very large vehicles. That reversal is about what sits in each bracket rather than about size itself.

Damage to others: the externality
The last column rises from 89 to 113. That is what your vehicle does to other people's property, and it climbs with mass for the same reason your own injuries fall.
It is the one number in the table that does not describe a cost to you at all in a liability-only sense — it describes what you impose. Which is worth naming, because it is invisible in the way premiums are usually discussed.

The practical consequence is that the answer depends on your cover mix.
Liability-only on a small car is cheap on every measure that applies to it. Full cover on a large SUV is expensive on three of the four columns, and the theft component is the one that will not shrink as the vehicle depreciates.
On an older large vehicle in particular, the comprehensive portion frequently becomes the dominant part of the premium — collision payouts are capped by a falling value while theft exposure is not, which is the specific case worth reviewing rather than renewing.
