Risk. An unexpected increase in steering effort can result in a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix. Dealers will replace the steering damper, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 5, 2025. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
