What's wrong. Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. The bolts attaching the lower steering column to the intermediate steering coupling can contact the brake hydraulic system pipes located in the engine compartment
Risk. This condition can lead to a brake hydraulic fluid leak and reduced braking performance
Fix. Dealers will reposition the pipes to prevent contact between the pipes and bolts, and any damaged pipes will be replaced

What's wrong. Bentley is recalling certain model year 2007-2009 arnager, arnaget, arnage rl, brooklands, and azure vehicles. There is a potential for the "b" hood ornament's retracting mechanism to become corroded. This may lead to the "b" hood ornament not retracting as intended when a vehicle is involved in a crash
Risk. If the hood ornament does not retract, it could increase the risk of injury to a pedestrian in the event of a crash between the vehicle and the pedestrian
Fix. Dealers will replace the retractable "b" mechanism free of charge. The safety recall began on september 27, 2010. Owners may contact bentley at 1-617-488-8500

What's wrong. Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. Fuel vapors stored in the vehicle's evaporative emission control system could enter a body cavity behind the rocker panel on the driver's side
Risk. If vapor is emitted and collects in the cavity, the resulting air/vapor mixture could be ignited if the central window operating mechanism is activated
Fix. Dealers will install a plated mild steel extension pipe to the leak detection filter of the vehicle which will ensure that any vapor emanating from the evaporative emission control system is vented to the outside of the vehicle. Power Train 1 Read
What's wrong. An incorrectly positioned wire within the electrically operated gearbox actuator can chafe against the cover causing the transmission selector fuse to blow
Risk. If the fuse blows, the driver cannot change gears or place the vehicle in park. This condition can disable the vehicle transmission, increasing the potential for a vehicle accident
Fix. Dealers will reposition the affected wire to prevent contact with the gearbox actuator cover
How long a defect stays unadmitted
Campaign numbers encode the year of the announcement, so each recall on this model can be dated against the car it applies to.
| Measure | Value |
|---|---|
| Average gap before admission | 0.9 years |
| Slowest campaign | 3 years |
| Admitted 5+ years later | —% |
| Campaigns on record | 7 |
Which Azure years were recalled most
Campaigns per model year. A year with more campaigns is not automatically worse — it may simply have sold in far greater numbers.

Frequently asked questions
How many recalls does the Bentley Azure have?
7 NHTSA campaigns on record, covering 1996–2009. Not every campaign applies to every car — coverage is by production range, so check your VIN.
Is recall work free?
Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer regardless of the car's age, mileage or how many owners it has had. That is a federal requirement, not a courtesy.
How do I know if my Azure still has an open recall?
Enter its VIN above. We show campaigns that apply to that exact vehicle and whether the repair has already been recorded as done.
Why did a defect take years to be recalled?
On this model the average gap between the car being built and the defect being admitted is 0.9 years, and the slowest campaign came 3 years later. Defects usually surface as they accumulate in the field: complaints pile up, an investigation opens, and only then is a campaign issued.
