The steering wheel locked preventing me from having control of the steering which resulted into me hitting the back of another vehicle causing a rollover accident on a city street and my car is totally damaged

The driver lost control of the vehicle, crossed over the median, and crashed into a truck on the opposite side of the road. The air bags deployed, but the engine started to burn. The driver of the other vehicle jumped out and used his fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire. The contact's friend sustained injuries that required medical attention. While driving heard popping noise and notice undercariage caught on fire, and within minutes car exploded . Dealer was notified. Resulted in an accident

This has been an ongoing problem for over a year now. I take my vehicle to the dealer and tell them the rear brakes are locking up and they respond with "this is caused by driver abuse, you have been powersliding it" I have had it to three different dealers. The rear brakes have been replaced 3 times within 9 months and are now needed again. Chevrolet states they are not willing to fix the problem

On friday october 20, 2006. My son and 3 friends were leaving a friends house. When my son applied his brake to slow, the brakes failed. When they failed the engine revved completely up, throttled out and shut down the vehicle. He of course had no brakes, but now no steering, and the engine was off. Not having any control, the vehicle hit a loose rock, slid into a ditch which then sent them into a series of rollovers no less than 5 no more then 7. The airbags did not deploy. When they landed 3 of the 4 doors were jammed shut. As they climb out of the vehicle, they noticed it was burning. It burned from behind the dash through the engine. I have pictures if you would like to see. The worst injury at the time was my son's shoulder, they were concerned it had a worse tear. Nothing can be done to fix this vehicle. I have notified chevy and gm. I am also talking to an attorney next week. The service brake hydraulic antilock recall has caused me concern. We don't know if it was ever taken for it's repair. Now gm can't even find or trace yet the VIN number. He had only had it 2 weeks when we had to put it in the shop because it had to be jumped to start. Then a week and a half almost 2 weeks later the brakes go out. Something major went wrong, and he hadn't even had it 30 days yet. It could have killed 4 kids. I want to know what malfunctioned

The brakes on this car have been replaced 8 times and each time was a premature wearing and most of the time covered under warranty. I paid $100.oo deductible I think 5 times. On 4/11/00 the dealership told me it was not a warranty covered item and so I had to pay for it. Then on 6/28/00 the new reason they gave me for the premature wearing was that I needed heavy duty brakes on the rear. I paid $401.00 for that and they covered the front brakes under warranty at this time. I was also told numereous times it was a factory defect and they would take care of it. It is still a constant problem and now they have given me a new reason for the premature wearing of the brakes. I am afraid to drive my car for fear the brakes will give out while I am going fast

I was in a hit and run accident and my car was totaled. I had a passenger and her airbags deployed but the driver side didn't. I had reported that the service airbag alert was on when I first got the vehicle at carmax and they told us to take it to the chevy service center . I picked up the car a few days later and was told that it was fixed but after the accident , I'm sure it wasnt

1.The airbags did not deploy, possibly missing. 2. I suffered injury and crashed into a building. I was hit. 3. Vehicle was inspected by the Hertz Rental Car. 4. Do not remember any messages

The contact's son was transported out of the vehicle with the assistance of emergency units and was airdropped to the hospital, where it was diagnosed that he sustained brain hemorrhage and third-degree burn on 65% of his body. The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH the contact struck a deer on the front passenger side causing minor damages to the vehicle. No one was injured. The contact was able to stop on the side of the road. In my 006 impala ss the transmission is starting to slip. The car is around 83,000 miles when I first noticed this issue, and the vehicle wasn't doing any hard acceleration (around 20-25 miles an hour shifting from first to second gear). I am worried that I will have to pay to get it replaced

A police and a fire report were filed and no injuries were reported. The fire was extinguished by the fire department. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where the engine was replaced. On another occasion, while driving at approximately 40 mph, the contact attempted to change lanes and another vehicle attempted to make a u-turn resulting in the contact crashing into the driver side of the vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The hood caught on fire. The fire was extinguished by an individual. A police and a fire report were filed and no injuries were reported. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 148,000

On september 24, 2015, my wife was driving our monte carlo. Unbeknown to her the car began smoking underneath, causing loss of control with neither steering nor braking capability. Other drivers, noticing the smoke, were attempting to notify her of the impending fire. She was able to drive about another mile before losing control and crashing into a tree on my neighbor's yard. The car became completely engulfed in flames and was destroyed. Were it not for several good samaritans, and police and fire personnel, she would have been killed. My fiancé, [XXX] died on [XXX], while driving his 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible . He was passing another car on a straight road ,A witness confirmed he was not speeding excessively. Suddenly, he lost control of the vehicle, crashed, and the car burst into flames. I’ve since learned that GM issued a recall for this model due to fuel spillage and fire risk. Other owners have reported transmission and instrument panel failures. I believe a defect in the vehicle may have caused or contributed to [XXX] ’s death. I am requesting a formal investigation into this incident and the safety of the 2023 Corvette Z06. I am also pursuing legal action to hold GM accountable. Front end of vehicle collided with a deer. As a result of the crash, the car caught fire destroying the entire front of the vehicle. I came across an article that somewhat describes the details of my incident. However I was told there was no correlation with the recall from gm below from 2011/2012. Fuel system, gasoline: storage tank assembly: mounting recall date 2012-06-21 recall no. 12V289000 general motors (gm) is recalling certain model year 2011 and 2012 chevrolet cruze vehicles manufactured from october 2. 2009, through may 14, 2012. Attachment welds for the fuel tank strap secondary brackets may have been omitted hide details recall consequence the fuel tank could come loose in a crash, possibly allowing fuel to leak from the tank. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire. Recall action gm will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicle for missing welds. If the vehicle is missing welds, dealers will secure the bracket attachments with fasteners. Repairs will be performed free of charge. My 2016 trax slid into rear of a car who suddenly braked while we both travelled on highway. I broke too. Probably hit other car while I was going 25 mph. Moderate front end damage. Engine stopped. But car caught on fire. Total loss of car

The contact depressed the brake pedal but failed to stop the vehicle and caused her to crash into a guard rail on the front driver side. No air bags deployed. The contact was not able to open the front driver side door due to being blocked by the guard rail. The contact climbed into the back of the vehicle and exited the rear driver side door, while the flames were inside the front of the vehicle. The fire department extinguished the fire. A fire report was not filed. The police report was filed. The contact did not sustain any injuries but sought medical attention the following day. The vehicle was not drivable. The insurance company deemed the vehicle to be a total loss. The vehicle was towed to the towing lot. The vehicle was not diagnosed. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000

I was travelling on the interstate at about 50 mph when traffic came to a sudden stop. I slammed on my brakes in plenty of time, but I rear-ended the van in front of me. At the time I thought I must have skidded into the van, but looking at the collision site later, there were no tire marks
