We were involved in a small fender bender accident, and the car caught on fire. It started with the dashboard, and it spread to the rest of the vehicle. The car ended up burnt to a crisp. Nothing salvageable

The contact stated that the driver and the passengers exited the vehicle before the vehicle exploded. The fire was extinguished by the fire department. This vehicle quit driving and you can move it. Confirmed bad transmission. I bought it this way from the insurance company because it bounced off a concrete barrier. I suspect this happened when the transmission failed. Unsure of a police report due to it happening to the previous owner

Power train failure - transmission pump failed- lost power- resulting in wreck with my two young children in the car. This year and make is involved in a recall , but not my VIN per this website. Have read 100 other instances that are exactly like mine

8/30 put the car in park and stepped out. The car goes rolling backwards down the street with my daughter in it screaming bloody murder. Luckily my driver door was open. It caught my neighbors car and jarred my door backwards forcing the car to veer to the left avoiding a street where cars fly up and down frequently. (savannah was feet away from either going into traffic or into the back of someone's house. We are extremely lucky nothing happened other than damages to a couple of vehicles). My car door doesn't shut properly and is unsafe to drive. I find out this is the same shifter that has allegedly been tied to a famous man's death and hundreds of other accidents. Verified with fca my car was defected

The contact got out the vehicle turn the vehicle off and back on however failed to start. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the engine failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was towed back to the contact's residence. No dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but no further assistance was taken. The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that while driving at 65 MPH, the temperature gauge had independently increased levels. The contact managed to pull over to the shoulder of the road and was able to restart the vehicle as a temporary repair. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, white smoke had leaked through the air vent into the interior cabin before independently shifting the gear into neutral. In addition, a fire had started from under the hood of the vehicle. No warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that a couple of nearby pedestrians attempted to extinguish the fire, but were unsuccessful due to the size of the fire. The contact had COPD, which was impacted during the failure, and medical attention was sought for a heart-related issue. The fire department arrived on the scene to extinguish the fire. A report was filed; however, it was unclear if either the local Fire department or Police department had filed the report. In august of 2003. My chrysler concorde failed due to a faulty tensioner, 66,000 miles. This caused engine damage(valves bent, etc..) engine rebuilt cost $2500. On september 6th 2004 82,000 miles, I was driving my car to get food. Approximately 1 mile or less from my home, my car died. Oil was sludgy when viewing it through oil entrance on engine. The fire department was called and advised that the fire began on the front passenger side of the vehicle but could not determine the exact cause of the failure. 09/17/23 Was driving 65mph, car was slowing Down in front of me and turned cruise control off. Immediately car started stalling. Was in middle lane with cars on both sides. Turned on flashers and no power in gas pedal. At about 30mph, was struck from behind by Jeep! Third car behind struck Jeep and Jeep struck me again. There were injuries and a death. My car was towed. 10/02/23; Now car is in body shop. Contacted Chrysler, they inspected car, but did not drive it. 10/12/23 Just received email stating that they found no problem. They stated that they are not responsible as they found no evidence of manufacturing defect or recall having contributed to this accident. Insurance companies and police are still investigating

My vehicle was involved in a hit a run, and the part I need has been on backorder with chrysler for several months. I can still drive the vehicle, but it has been deemed unsafe for road use. I cannot fix the car until this part is available, and I can't get a car through insurance for more than 30 day. Could you guys push chrysler to make this part at a faster rate, there are over 600 backorders on this part with many angry customer eagerly waiting for it. The new part number is 68376692aa

My daughter's 2006 pt cruiser was involved in a minor fender bender in a walmart parking lot. Her car was struck on the left front bumper from a 90 degree angle. Neither vehicle could have been going more than 15 mph. The impact knocked the front bumper loose, pushed in the grill, and buckled the hood slightly on the pt cruiser. It did not catch the fender as the left front headlight lens assembly was not broken. Within a few seconds of the impact, my daughter sighted flames in the engine compartment which were visible underneath the buckled hood. She and her passenger immediately gathered their personal belongings and exited the car. Both my daughter and the other driver called 911 but even with the fire department 300 yards away, the fire destroyed the vehicle. What should have been a $1500 bumper replacement and body shop job resulted in a totaled vehicle due to the fire. The police did not cite either driver

My 2016 T & C was parked on an incline when about 5 minutes after I exited the vehicle, it began to roll backwards. Van was in park and off. It rolled back and hit a church sign which stopped it from going over a steep bank and into traffic on Route 29 near Gretna, Va. Extensive damage to sign as well as probably total loss of my van. This happened on 10/2/2025 at 11:00 AM

On December 28, 2024 my family and I were in a crash with our Pacifica van. In a gradual left turn at approximately 40 mph, the van slowly drifted to the right. I slowly corrected to the left with no affect. After slightly more left correct, the van cut hard left and crashed head into a concrete wall on the opposite side of the roadway. The steering correction inputs should not have resulted in such a hard left turn. The drift to the right should not have occurred and I was not able to correct for some reason. The vehicle was inspected by insurance and totaled. No other inspections were completed to my knowledge. There were no issues or warnings of a potential problem. We did suspect the lane keep assist system could have caused an over correction but have no way to confirm that

Steering has felt "sticky" for about a week. It is difficult to turn the steering wheel at all, and it would get stuck in certain positions so I physically couldn't turn or change directions. The problem wasn't too bad at first, but then got extremely bad as of 08/07/2019. Steering was almost impossible, and the steering wheel would get stuck n almost every turn, making driving almost impossible, and very dangerous. As of 08/09/2019, the steering wheel is almost constantly stuck, and requires extreme force, or slamming on the brakes to turn or change directions at all. Even slight turns are difficult and dangerous. The car is now completely unsafe to drive, and has swerved off the road several times, and even scraped a divider because the steering wheel was locked into place and couldn't be corrected. These were all while driving, driving on the highway, steering was slightly easier. But that is where the crash with the divider happened. Driving on city streets was more difficult because there are more turns and they are sharper. This is now completely impossible. When the car is stationary, or in park, the steering wheel is locked in place and can't be turned

During driving in the rain the battery light comes on the steering wheel locks into place then after complete stop steering is back. The check engine light comes on and the thermostat rises to the maximum then that light comes on. Then after 5min or so temp goes back down both engine and temp lights go off but battery light stays on until car is turned off. This only happens when it's heavily raining
