Gm is recalling 185,903 model year 2004-2009 colorado, gmc model year 2009-2004 canyon, model year 2006 i-280, i-350, model year 2007-2008 i-290, and i-370, passenger vehicles originally sold in or currently registered in the states of alabama, arizona, florida, georgia, hawaii, louisiana, mississippi, nevada, new mexico, puerto rico, south carolina, texas, u.s. Virgin islands and utah. Some of these vehicles have a brake lamp switch that may not work as designed due to contamination in the switch.
Risk. This condition could cause the simultaneous loss of all brake lamps or cause all of the brake lamps to stay on continuously. Both of these conditions could fail to warn others of the driver's intentions and could lead to a vehicle crash.
Fix. Dealers will inspect and replace the necessary components as specified in the recall bulletin free of charge. Gm anticipates that parts will be available by june 2010. I have been having issues with the theft deterrent since i bought my 2007 isuzu i-370. When i try to start my vehicle wherever i am the theft deterrent light on the dashboard lights up and i have to wait 10 minutes before i can start it. People that i talk to that have the same vehicle have the same problem that i have. This issue has plagued this model and the colorado's also. I am tired of having to go through this everyday. Something has to be done about this problem.
Code b2960 key code incorrect but valid. Which means a faulty ignition key cylinder. Security light flashes, engine cranks, fails to start. Have to wait 10 or more minutes to reset. Still fails to start. Wait another 10 or more minutes for reset. After more than 20 minutes, it starts, maybe. Isuzu motors does not supply its dealerships anymore with key cutting codes, ignition key cylinder parts, nor the software relearn procedures to resolve this at the local level. Chevy and gmc dealerships don't have the capability to be able to work on isuzu vehicles to cut keys or relearn the ignition to the body control module.
Failed ignition switch, insert correct key into ignition switch, try to start, does not start due to failed ignition switch. Vehicle theft device does not sense the electronic chip in the key. Does not allow my truck to start. Local dealership can not cut new keys nor can they reprogram the ignition switch or the vehicle theft device since isuzu motor corporation does not supply them with and reprogram software or procedures.
My 2007 isuzu i 370 extended cab pickup truck has a serious issue with not starting. It has failed to start at least 7 times in less than 4 days. The dealership and isuzu motor corporation are clueless and to what is going on with it. I work as a truck mechanic, hooked up a diagnostic computer to it. Code is b2960, security system sensor valid but incorrect. This code is found under the body control module. I have the correct keys. I turn the key to accessory, wait to crank the engine for 15 seconds, try to start, and of course , fails to start. The ignition switch tells the security system to not to start the truck. Passlock security system light flashes for a minimum of 10 to 12 minutes, and has failed to start for longer than 30 minutes. This is the same recall that general motors is currently having with several of their models. But my truck was built through a coop between general motors and isuzu. But neither corporation will never recognize each others exsistence with any sort of recall. I can not go on with this issue. I have talked to the local isuzu dealership and isuzu motor corporation. I'm scared that this vehicle will soon stop working while i am driving, and cause a major accident. The 3 on-board computers retain codes. Therefore isuzu and the isuzu dealerships can not lie about not having and codes.
Insert correct key, try to start truck. Fails to start. Engine light comes on. Vehicle theft deterrent flashes on and of for 10 to 12 minutes. Then goes out. Turn key off, it may start, or it goes through another fail to start situation. Has failed to start 3 time conservatively 3 times while i'm at the gas station. Has never stopped on me while traveling down the road. This is the same recall that general motors has, but isuzu does not recognize their recalls.

2008 isuzu i290 abs brakes kick in at different speeds, sometimes 5-10 mph sometimes faster and abs fault light comes on in message panel of dash. This issue has been looked at by multiple repair locations without resolve. Found out today 6-12-2015 on internet forums that multiple people are having the exact same issue all over the country with 2005-2008 yr lite trucks and in my opinion it is a gm manufacturer defect with colorado, and i290 pickup truck hubs and abs sensors that are defective.

My engine light in my 2008 370 series truck, keep coming on. Several attempts by the dealer in morgantown, wv have been made to repair the engine but to no avail. I also call the isuzu corporate headquarters in california, however, i have not receive any response. I purchase the isuzu truck in albuquerque, nm before my relocation to morgantown wv. The dealership in morgantown, wv stated that no one had been trained to worked on the isuzu 370 series, however, they have made several attempts to repair it. If they had no one train to work on my truck, how can they repair it. It might just be possible they could have cause more problems. My truck had been at that the dealership for three (3) weeks with the engine torn apart. The dealership had not even offer me a loaner. My wife and i have been going back and forth with the service manager with no satisfaction. I have also have in my possession a copy of the new mexico lemon law. *tr
